An October Preramble (Pixiv Fanbox)

Hey, hope everyone is doing well. Been a while since I last had a dedicated ramble. And a while since I last changed my banner and what not. Just haven't had a lot going on in the noggin to really come up with something. I'll hopefully change it for October, but yeah. This ramble will be a sort of brief look at some things that may or may not show up this October, as well as some stuff beyond. I've actually been prepping stuff for a bit now, but haven't made a ton of progress in actuality.

First, we do have the first picture of this post. Hasshaku-sama. I have honestly thought to do her previous years, but never got around to it, never had a model I liked, etc. But this year, I've decided to go for it. It will likely replace the traditional ghost video, since it can be tiring and boring to do the same thing each year. I know some of you are quite excited for a prospective ghost video, but only so much I can do each year, so yeah. In fact, this year will see a few shake-ups to some traditions, just to do something different. It'll also see some new stuff here and there. And there will be a costume related poll. Won't be a very large poll like last year's XVI poll, but I will be doing a small Rebirth related costume poll. I've got the poll mostly figured out. First, we've got the Cheerleading Commander.

A theme that felt appropriate for the whole parade thing(Note: I have not played Rebirth). A semi-custom costume. I did utilize some bits for her original uniform, as well as some other stuff. Came out relatively well for something I made.

The second character is gyaru Elena.

It started as just the twintails, since she had them in Before Crisis, but that eventually transformed into a gyaru look. Bit odd, but whatever. It works. Couldn't really think of anything else to do with her, besides.

And then lastly, we got Mermaid Priscilla.

Need I say more? x)

But no, I don't actually have a firm third idea, so if you've got an idea for any of the Rebirth characters, go ahead and shoot your shot. Can't promise I'll make any of them, but I'll keep things in mind since I still need a third character to slot.

Past the poll stuff, I am likely to return to an old Halloween idea I had back from 2020 that I never fully followed through on. Nun Aerith.

New look and all that, but same old idea. x)

Another recycling idea I have is to do another 'Elden Ring' costume thing like last year.

Y'shtola as the Recluse, because why not. It's a Halloween of big hats. Should try to squeeze in a third. I like big hats.

Another costume/idea I had was this:

Barnabas's mom as Nevan from DMC3. Something that came out surprisingly well, I think. Dress is terrible, but other than that, quite good.

But, beyond costume stuff, I do have plans to feature a horror game.

As always, I am very punctual and on time with fads. I've actually considered doing something MiSide for a while now, but kept putting it off and off until it was like 'well, Halloween is almost here' and here we are. Not sure which Mitas will all be featured, but yeah, something different and new and Spooktober appropriate. x)

There are some other ideas I've got for Halloween, but I'm still not 100% sure on some things, so for now that's what I've got. However, beyond Halloween, I do have some ideas.

Been a lot of rumbling about Marie Rose ever since that ending scene. For the record, that ending was mostly just a dumb joke and wasn't actually teasing anything. In fact, I hid a little message in that shot saying as much.

Not a soul seent it. So I hid it well. x)

But yeah, after Halloween sometime, I may do something with my nu-Marie. I'm not 100% sure I'll use that model, since I'm not 100% satisfied with it(never am with my own 'custom' models), but let me know if you like it and want it, or want me to go back to the original. Saying that, I expect it to be a mix of people who want me to go either way and whatever I end up going with will annoy people either way. x)

Lastly, I have actually started on Christmas stuff, which is the earliest I've ever started on a Christmas set. Word of warning. There will be big, pointy elf ears.

Very pointy. Get used to them while you can. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But before any of this, I do have one set slated for this month. Who will it be?

Jote. I've been trying to get her set started and done for months now. Ideally, it'll release next week, but we'll see. I've been hopping between sets and ideas, so not sure if it'll be done in time.
