Results are in, and it's pretty close to what I was expecting.
Nanami won pretty soundly, but Kasumi put up a decent fight. Lobelia trails behind by quite a bit - I was honestly kind of expecting her to beat Kasumi. She might have in a one-on-one, but hard to say, really. I just tend to default to the concept that most of the new VV girls are more popular than some of the original main cast. Not all, but yeah.
Anyway, let's move onto the survey stuff. Not gonna do a large, indepth analysis here. Just gonna do a general sort of commentary on it. For starters, the top five 'best sets' as voted by everyone.
1. Final Fantasy XV - Beach Party (202 Votes)
2. Final Fantasy VII - Beach Foursome (190 Votes)
3. Dead or Alive Animations (149 Votes)
4. Y'shtola Animations (147 Votes)
5. Yuffie Christmas (120 Votes)
Not terribly surprising, I feel. Variety packs like the top three probably have a broader appeal than the singular sets, since there's probably a character for everyone or the like.
For top five 'worst sets', we've got:
1. Ghost Video (90 Votes)
2. Aigis Animations (61 Votes)
3. Jessie's Mom (60 Votes)
4. Elden Ring Set (50 Votes)
5. NiCO set (43 Votes)
Not entirely what I was expecting. The first three were expected, honestly. It's mostly the Elden Ring and NiCO sets that I'm a little surprised by. I guess it makes some sense, but figured something else would get those spots.
As for the rambles... I guess I gotta figure out some non-animation related stuff to ramble about, lol. But the more interesting one, to me, is the poll thing.
I just threw this in there as a whim, since I'd done that a couple times and it worked out for me, so I was curious what people thought. Since the alternating option won, I think I'll give it a shot for a couple months, with the addition of animating the characters in the polls based on a '100 point' basis. Every 100 points = 1 animation. Might not completely work out and I may have to change that in the future, but that's what I'm gonna go with for now. Give it a shot, see how it works out, and then adjust as needed.
But yeah, that's about it in terms of survey stuff I wanted to talk about.
Also, it's something I don't mention often enough, but wanted to mention here: thank you for all the support the past year. I'm bad at giving thanks, but genuinely thank you for sticking with me and supporting in any way that you can. It truly means a lot, and I hope that I'll be able to continue to be worthy of it. Anyway, until next time.
