Given the circumstances I mentioned in #venting in our discord server, I will edit and publish yesterday's and today's content at 6-7 CST (since I will arrive at my destination at around 5), as I have to leave right now to go through all the procedures to catch a flight at 4 PM CST and arrive at 5 CST (and I will go straight to my laptop at the other house to work on pending tasks until whatever time is necessary).
The content was already originally created and scheduled, but I unscheduled it yesterday because I saw some errors on the following pages that I hadn't seen before and was going to edit and correct before it was self-published, but I didn't think the issue with the mold on the wall would complicate things until today, when everything is complicated by the date, the timing, etc. But this will not affect our schedule except for yesterday and today.
After publishing that content on Patreon/Fanbox, I will prioritize publishing the Christmas comic between 7 and 9 PM (without a written story; I will probably postpone everything written until after January 2, when I am back home).
Long explanation that I posted in #venting on my Discord server (and attached images to corroborate the veracity of what happened):
My plan to finish everything before December 24 has failed miserably, but that's because I've spent the last four days struggling to remove a giant mold that spread across an entire wall and started to spread to the others.
I have my theories (that the mold had already seeped in before, but I didn't know that the stain under the air conditioner and window was mold; I thought it was dirt,
so when it got cold and I switched to heating mode, I guess it encouraged its growth, and when I realized it, the whole wall was green :|), and I couldn't put it off because today, in a few hours, I'm leaving town to spend time with my family and won't be back until January (which would have given that thing more time to grow), but I'll take my laptop with me to do my work from there (even though it will be more inconvenient).
First, I paid someone to remove it, but apparently the person didn't know how to remove it completely (third image), and I just wasted money because they couldn't do the job right.
so I had to apply Clorox (bleach) directly to the wall several times, about 10 applications per area, until the wall was intensely saturated with chlorine, and the fungus died with the chlorine running off with the remains of it onto the floor where it was cleaned. The result was good, although now I feel physically ill (despite doing it with the window and door open and a fan pointing there to remove the chlorine fumes), so maybe I got a little intoxicated with the chlorine and that made me feel unwell the next day, but at least it turned out well. (it looks like the last picture, where I had only applied the bleach directly with the spray bottle, up to 3 liters of bleach).
I also had to invest in hiring someone to come and apply anti-mold paint to the two porous walls and the ceiling, which is where the mold grew, to prevent future problems.
And now I'm fine, without the wall full of mold (breathing mold is dangerous and can poison the blood of people with low immune systems). Who knows, maybe a lot of what made me sick was breathing in the mold. But on the other hand, what I spent to remove it and prevent it from growing back really pissed me off.
I had sold half of my commissions from 2027, and with that I could at least cover my costs for December, but now, after spending money on the wall, I'm broke, sick from inhaling clorox, restless, and without having solved the setbacks. If anyone wants to commission/donate another $600 (20 pages) or more (even if it's for the 2027 queue), I would be grateful.
