It seems that it has been a long time, certainly several years, since several actresses who characterized several of the most famous vtubers, mysteriously disappeared in the offices of Hololive. No one knows what really happened to them, or if they were just fired, even though Hololive continued to sell a lot of merchandising of the missing vtubers, so despite what is thought, it does not seem that they were simply fired and forgotten by Hololive. Even, certainly, it doesn't seem that they disappeared altogether, if not that only their actresses disappeared from the face of the earth, and no one has seen them again in all those years (with respect to hololive employees and other vtubers who recognized the real people behind their respective characters).
It is intuited that they are still alive somehow, or that they have not disappeared completely, because the video games, virtual reality software, and other types of digital merchandising where they appear, still have their original voices, so they should have acted those voices of that content that is still being published. Hololive has even released music albums of these vtubers and, even if the voice sounds a bit robotic, as it happens with vocaloid voices, there is no denying that they are the real voices of the actresses of each corresponding vtuber.
On the other hand, it has been forbidden in Hololive's offices to talk about the alleged disappearance of these vtubers, and even the police do not seem to be interested in this issue at the moment, so maybe they have not disappeared, but maybe they are now slave labor locked up in the offices? Or, perhaps, they have been abducted into some digital program to force them through programming, as if they were just another program, to do what Hololive executives want. No one really knows what has happened, although the theory that they have been virtually abducted is the most popular, especially because of how crazy and interesting it sounds, although everyone knows that this is impossible to achieve with current technology, or at least that is what most people consider.

Contrary to most people, the actresses who play Sakura Miko and Shirogane Noel believe that there must be something more sinister behind the disappearances of their friends and, in fact, they find more suspicious the fact that Hololive has forbidden the other vtubers to talk about it, which shows Hololive as an accomplice or potential implicated in the disappearance of their friends and classmates. They also find suspicious Hololive's behavior as a company that they have had lately, such as forcing the actresses to get a tattoo of a bar code that when scanned by some executive of the company with their cell phones, serves to identify them with their role as vtubers and which 3D and 2D model corresponds to them. For this reason, the two women have decided to investigate on their own inside Hololive's facilities in one night, since the missing vtubers did it in Hololive's facilities at very late hours of the night.
What they really expected to find was their friends working in at least semi-slavery circumstances, locked up in Hololive's offices, as it is the most realistic theory if Hololive is related to their disappearance. However, both would found a big surprise when they look through the slot of a half-open door in the basement. In that place it seems that there are several machines, virtual reality helmets, and other types of helmets, and a subject shooting laser beams at objects that immediately disappear from the environment and reappear on the computer screen, something that leaves both women stupefied.

However, it seemed that their strange nighttime adventure in the basement of their work office has come to an end, as they are finally discovered and trapped. Then quickly some guys in scientists' coats point those laser beams at them and they, frightened and cornered, are shot.
Suddenly on the screen of one of the computers Miko and Noel have appeared, scared and surprised characterizing their roles as vtubers with 3D models inside the computer, in what seems to them an infinite white abyss, even though it is really the canvas of a new modeling document of some 3D modeling program. As they both appreciate the huge white abyss around them, they discover that their bodies are rigid in a T-shape, and that their strength has been totally nullified, leaving them both helpless.
[Drawing 3]
This presents those Hololive scientists with a great opportunity to test new technologies they have been developing. Abducting a person into a computer in a way that converts the person into programmable data is something they have already discovered and tested as functional, but they now want to find out if they can do the reverse process: convert a 3D model that was previously a person into a real, physical object again, though not necessarily a person.
So, the scientists plug into the computer with a USB cable two collectible figures of Miko and Noel, which have been designed with the latest technology available to Hololive, and begin the process of downloading Miko and Noel. Meanwhile they cannot believe what is happening, even though they feel numb, and their minds are scattered and unfocused as they are transferred as data to the dolls of themselves.
[Drawing 4]
Finally, the scientists, who are obsessed and delighted with being able to play with people as if they were their toys, programs or simply insignificant objects at their mercy, proceed to pack and send a store as common Merchandising to the dolls that contain within themselves the digital versions of Miko and Noel. Both of them where awake bewildered by being inside a box, yet strangely now feel and see through those dolls as if they were their bodies.
Not even a day passed before they were sold and, the first thing their buyer, an absolute fan of Miko and Noel's work as vtubers, did was to tie ribbons on them and use them both as if they were puppets, while Miko and Noel start to feel terrified for having now an uncertain future as the dolls of that strange fan.
