Akiharu’s Chronicle is a dark isekai survival story set in a world inspired by the Great Depression era.

Akiharu falls into a struggling industrial city powered by a mysterious substance called Purite. He wasn’t meant to arrive here. Others have been sent before him — people known as “Candidates” — but his transfer is unstable, incomplete, and wrong from the start.

To stay unnoticed, he works as a newsboy, selling newspapers alongside street kids who know how to survive better than he does. That’s how he meets Vin and Miles. Between poverty, hidden weapons, and quiet distrust, the three move through a city that feels increasingly volatile.

Part 1 focuses on a series of escalating bombings.

A bomber is targeting specific locations across the city. The attacks grow more precise and more dangerous, forcing different Candidates to start chasing the same lead. They believe the bombings might be a clue — possibly connected to the “mission” they assume they were sent here to complete.

Information becomes currency.

Rumors become leverage.

And suspicion spreads faster than the explosions themselves.

As the search for the bomber intensifies, it becomes unclear whether the violence is random or part of something much larger.

Akiharu’s Chronicle is not about becoming a hero.

It is about surviving a city where every answer leads to another fracture.
