Well it seems like we are finally getting some glimpses into Shiori's plan! Amazing episode!

Ayame's background story originates from the yokai "Futakuchi-onna". This yokai has its own Wikipedia page, so if you're interested, I highly recommend checking it out.

Besides the plot revelations, it was good to see another traditional yokai that had some interesting story rather than just being instant shiori fodder. The ED was a nice touch.
