I love what they do with Yoko in the second half, she really gets to shine here. More than anyone, even Simon, she held onto that revolutionary optimism that led Team Gurren to greatness. The shot you said was awesome was a callback to episode 1, its the first thing Simon and Kamina see as they fly out of their old village with Yoko.
