Harley Burnie

2:12 I've already seen this episode twice, but now, seeing Ruby's TOTALLY unhinged face here in the OP suddenly felt like a decently hard suckerpunch to the stomach. Having finished the manga after while back, I suppose the overall context would flavour this highly and intensely stylized opening, but damn.... watching the cutest, bubbliest girl look like she would absolutely stab someone in the face with a melted and sharpened eyeliner brush is deeply disturbing.

3:25 You bring up a great point for me, Mat. Saito did ask about "the father," but...he really did NOT push too hard, actually. So, when his star performer, a practically orphaned girl whom he tried to raise as a professional, is brutally killed in the presence of her children, in her own damn home.... Just how fervantly shitty must Saito feel about never getting an answer outta Ai? He might have been able to stop or help the situation before Ai was lost to them all. What kind of manager, professional, father figure, let's someone so precious get plucked and wilted before actually blooming fully? Tbh, I imagine that, in his shoes, I would likely loath myself about as much as whomever set Ai up. One person got her killed. One person could really believe that he let her get killed. Feels horrendous to even contemplate.

Yeah. It really makes sense that he just sort of... stepped out of the lives of Ruby, Aqua, and his wife. It's certainly not "right" but you can understand emotionally where the decision came from. And frankly, I love the little moment of his passion for the industry/business coming out despite telling Ruby no repeatedly... It shows that he simultaneously WANTS her to succeed (afterall, she is Ai's daughter!)... but also doesn't want her to succeed because it puts her, in his eyes, in the exact same danger! In other words, him and Aqua would probably get along quite a bit. Since they both want to keep Ruby out of it. Unfortunately, Ruby has no intention of listening to either of them about it.

There were a couple official streams of MEM-cho as a vtuber also. I think that was right before s2 released. Hm, youtube search isnt doing a great job of finding it, and they only did a few hours, but I swear it happened.
