Some clarification is needed. This is the original 2013 OVA, this shares continuity with the Movie "Magical parade" both of which DO NOT share continuity with the anime, that has a similar basic premise but are ultimately not related, since you started by the OVA you should watch the movie next or is going to be rather confusing

Wow wow wow, I love stories about magic and fantasy and this one is no different. Since I saw it being mentioned on its AniList page, this short movie was apparently part of the Japanese gouvernment funded "2012 Young Animator Training Project." (or as they also call it Anime Mirai (Anime of the Future)) which funded the making of four short movies each year to train Japanese animators on the job instead of overrelying on overseas animators. Little Witch Academia is one of the rare ones where such a short film got so much positive reception that it bloomed into a full on franchise later on (its second short film getting a kickstarter project to extend its length from 20 to 40 minutes).
