Hi Everyone!
First off, we're so sorry this poll is a whole day late! Tuesdays are poll day, and we're going to try our absolute best to stick to that.

Okay, so last week's poll winner was Godzilla Minus One, which we're both super excited to see! This week we're doing another one of our classic movie suggestion polls!

With Canadian Thanksgiving right around the corner we're wanting to see what your favourite holiday movies are. So in the comments below, let us know a couple of your top Thanksgiving or Christmas movies. Once the poll is over, we'll go through and pick out one to watch. And we use all your suggestions in future polls too! As always, thank you for your suggestions! We couldn't do this without you ❤️❤️❤️

Thanksgiving is Planes Trains and Automobiles Christmas: Bad Santa (unrated) Scrooged National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation A Miracle on 34th Street (1947) White Christmas Elf That's enough for now lol

TheEndlessVoid

A Miracle on 34th Street would be a good one 🫶🏻

Kenton Kruger

Since you do both movies and TV shows, I'd like to suggest something a little different. Rather than a movie, I'd like to see you react to maybe 3 or so of the classic holiday specials, like A Charlie Brown Christmas, the Rankin-Bass stuff, etc if you haven't seen all of those.

I don't immediately recall what's on the channel but the top of my list? Planes, Trains and Automobiles(1987) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation(1989) Others on the list: Grumpy Old Men(1993), Bad Santa(2003), Trapped in Paradise(1994), The Hebrew Hammer(2003), Edward Scissorhands(1990) and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe(2005)

Andrew Ramos

Bad Santa, and Bad Santa 2 next year

Thanksgiving - Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Christmas - White Christmas

Bob Bittner

From the 1940s, “Miracle on 34th Street” and, with Christmas/New Years themes, “Bachelor Mother,” which is a little known comic gem. More recently, “The Family Stone.”

That's one I do remember from last year, that they did the '47 Miracle. In it's place I suggest the 94 version

Cliff Adams

The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1944)

Maxxwell Denton

A Thanksgiving movie from 1995 "Home For The Holidays". With Robert Downey Jr and Holly Hunter. It's a great ROM COM.

Anthony Donato

It's A Wonderful Life (1946). James Stewart the best Christmas movie ever made in my opinion. The black and white version.

Clueless Morgan

Planes, trains and automobiles. Bad Santa. Life of Brian (xmas)

While I kind of get what you're going for with Life of Brian, I can't agree it's a Christmas movie. If this were somehow an Easter poll, it'd definitely have my vote though.

Justin

I guess for Christmas I'll mention the 80s comedy "Trading Places" (Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis)

Thomas Yanez

Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas

Elf

Mycenaeus .

For Thanksgiving, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" is the obvious choice. For Halloween, "Arsenic and Old Lace" would be very fitting, and of course for Christmas "It's a Wonderful Life", both directed by Frank Capra. "A Shop around the Corner" by Ernst Lubitsch, and "The Apartment" by Billy Wilder are also great movies set around Christmas. Oh, and how could I forget "We're No Angels" by Michael Curtiz.

Paul De'Armond

KRAMPUS, KRAMPUS, KRAMPUS!!!!!! *the crowd cheers*

William

Planes, trains and automobiles

Noah Vogt

Thanksgiving movies - Scent of a Woman - Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - Son-In-Law - Dutch Christmas - It's a Wonderful Life - A Christmas Story - Jingle All the Way - Christmas Vacation - Scrooged - Christmas Chronicles (with Kurt Russell as Santa 🙂 )

Noah Vogt

You could keep going and going when it comes to Christmas films. So many good ones.
