Happy Tuesday! So the most recent poll (Second Chances Poll) fricken tied... TIED! Both Total Recall and National Lampoon's Vacation won, so naturally we're going to watch both, because how funny is that!

For this week we're wanting to see more Sylvester Stallone! He was so much fun in the Rocky movies we've seen so far, so we've got a few more of his well known movies to vote on. Can't wait to see which one ya'll want to watch with us next!

talk to Cinebinge about First Blood. They’ve had a TON of copyright issues with that film, to the point that they made a whole edit just about how annoying it’s been.

Which is weird because it's on other reactor channels. I really liked Simone and George's reaction though. It's a shame they had to take it down from YouTube.

All the expendables *for billy*

While I can do without Cliffhanger, I cannot pick one of the remaining 3 over another. As an American with a father who served during and in Vietnam, to me First Blood is necessary viewing to anyone born after it's release or anyone outside the US who wants to better understand how veterans can be treated on their return home, and a better insight into PTSD. The other 2 are perfect 90's sci fi films back when big name stars ( Sly, Arnold, Bruce Willis ) weren't afraid to do big action sci fi films that were camp and fun for an 11 and 13 year old respectively.

oh also there’s a 4K remaster of Demolition Man dropping next month. Maybe wait for that so you can see the best possible version?

A totally different type of role for Stallone was in a crime drama from 1997 called “Cop Land”. It brought him critical acclaim as a serious actor, easily holding his own in a cast that included Robert DeNiro, Ray Liotta, and Harvey Keitel. You really should consider watching it sometime.

First Blood or Demolition Man will probably win this poll, but I think Cliffhanger is the best of the bunch. Great setting for a film and John Lithgow just owns every scene he's in.

"Cop Land" would be an excellent choice for a future watchalong. It's my favorite Stallone film, even over his much more popular works.

Mine too. It finally took him away from his stereotypical “macho” roles.

I vote for Dune ;) 🙏 Jk it’s gotta be First Blood

Watch First Blood, and then please watch the rest of the Rocky movies! It’s such a great series of films
