Denis Villeneuve doesn't miss! I've seen all his movies, and I've enjoyed every one. Also, this series proves that every movie should end with a knife fight.

Just a quick comment/suggestion/question, did you ever consider posting YouTube edits to Patreon earlier than going live on YouTube? I back other reactors and I love when they also provide the YouTube edits earlier on Patreon. Love you two and the channel 🖖

the score of this movie is so good. and the best about it is that they so often just chose silence to make a scene stand out!. the fight between Paul and Feyd-Rautha with the ONLY sounds beeing there actual fight is so good.

" Dune 3" is currently scheduled for a December 2026 release. Now you get to know our pain. 😂

This was amazing. I'm so glad you guys watched this. I think since the Water of Life showed both Paul and his mom that they are Harkonnen, they needed to be bruuuutal! as Gurney said the Harkonnen were in the first movie. The knife sliding through Pauls hand may be one of the most disturbing and visceral things I've seen in any movie. Now I'm off to make some dinner with some chicken and griefy leans. Mmmm!

For comparable movies, I don’t think there really is a director out there doing so much with scale as Villenueve. For more sci fi from him, there’s Blade Runner 2049 (the sequel to the 80s film you’ve already watched for the channel) and Arrival (which is maybe my favorite of his). And while it’s not sci fi, his film Sicario is just amazing and worth a watch as well.

Thank you, that was awesome. I will probably be the only person who recommends Dune: Prophecy on Max but I loved it. It's about the formation of the Bene Geserit and stars the lead actress from Chernobyl. I think you would like it.

I feel like he's underrated somehow. I feel like him and Fincher share a similar quality in visual storytelling. Totally different kinds of stories but they make "every frame a painting."

I'd love to do this! We tried when we first started our Patreon, but had trouble with it and the Patreon support team couldn't figure out why it wasn't working for us... But maybe they've updated backend things now. I'll look into it!
