Umm where’s the vote for all option? ✅🙃 13th Warrior doesn’t get enough love, but each of these are great stories with so many beloved actors.

Some pretty good films. Kingdom of Heaven and Count of Monte Cristo are both great, but I'm gonna go 13th Warrior. Not many reactors get around to it, and it always makes me want to play D&D. Kingdom really is epic though.

As this poll is about history, I am a historian by trade, I cannot tell you how much I despise Kingdom of Heaven and it's deliberate lies, of which it's director admits are lies. One of the better historical films to exist is a German film called Downfall. I would recommend that instead.

I recommend never seeing the theatrical cut of Kingdom of Heaven. The new edit with the added bit took it from a movie I hated, to one of my favorite Ridley Scott films; right up there with Bladerunner, Gladiator, and Alien.

Jon Johns

If you watch Kingdom if Heaven, well, there are many "King Arthur / holy grail / knights templat / crusades" movies! It's a deep well!!

Dudes, The Count of Monte Cristo no contest. 13th Warrior be kicking some serious ass too.

Hackers and Sneakers are clearly the movies patreons want, why watch the other two films with such low voting engagement?

Nice poll! A great companion piece to Braveheart is Rob Roy (1995) starring Liam Neeson and Jessica Lange.

James Melton

I have to be honest. I really wish you had decided to do historical setting movies every Sat instead of those (expletive deleted) 90s movies. Anyway, I'm pulling for the "13th Warrior" because I like it more than these others.

James Melton

I don't like "Kingdom of Heaven" much because it's not really a good movie (sorry yes I know people love it but I had to say it). I just assume all of these are not good history though. BTW this is one of those badly skewed movies on Rotten Tomatoes with the professional reviews under 40% but the random person reviews up over 70%. Just an observation. Anyway it's not a terrible movie just not a great one and evidently not good history either.

Sam

I would highly recommend The Last Duel (based on a documented historical event) and The Green Knight, which is adapted from the Arthurian romance "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight".

Because the votes do not reflect the love shown for the other two that was expressed in the comments of that poll
