hello everyone, I'm working on improving stability, uncached full files will take a while to load and imports are a bit backlogged both due to bandwidth. Thank you.

Oh hey, didn't see you walk in there.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this mod. Unfortunately, Darkest Dungeon as a game is a fucking nightmare to work with sometimes.

Did you know this game doesn't produce crash logs when the game crashes to desktop? There is no way to know what went wrong and why -- your only option is to light up the incense, pray to the spirits, and hope that the answer comes to you in a feverish delirium.

So when the new spider spawner started crashing on me I tried everything again and again and again and again. Eventually the problem was whittled gradually down to some arcane issue with the inverse kinematics of some of the bones of the skel animation file. Tragically, the only way to correct this was to simply remove the IK from said bones.

The result is that the spider spawner's left legs are a little stiff during the oviposition animation, and I've spent so much time trying to fix this fucking thing that for the first time since I started working on LL:E I had to say "Fuck it. Ship it." to myself.

In my mind, a slightly stiff animation is better than a horrendous crash to desktop, right?

Please forgive me. I have literally lost sleep over this, and it has delayed updates. I will allow it to delay me no longer, I am done working on the fucking spider spawner unless some new crash crops up. Expect the next patch to contain a proper fix.

Ah, is that why my game crashed when a spider tried to oviposit capture one of my girls? Luckily, it returned to the same moment in combat and worked the second time. I imagine this is not a pleasant thing to hear, given the vibe of your post
