Nominations for April 2023 General Prompt Poll (Patreon)

No April Fool's jokes here; just the nomination post for this month's General prompt poll.

This poll is open to prompts from all fandoms except for those that have won prompt polls over the last two months. Note that closely associated/different versions of the same fandom are also ineligible. For example: if the MCU is currently on cooldown, you can't nominate anything Marvel in general, if the Lord of the Rings is currently ineligible, you can’t nominate anything from The Hobbit/Rings of Power, etc. If you're unsure of whether or not something is eligible in the current month, don't hesitate to ask for clarity. This may be something we have to revisit/modify over time, but I think that doing it this way will allow for a bit more variety and give other fandoms a chance (particularly if/when Harry Potter gets added back in to compete against everything else!)

You can make a one or two sentence prompt of what you’d like to see. You can include specific character(s), kinks, etc. in that prompt nomination, or just keep it to a general idea and leave the characters and setting for me to decide in the event that your nomination wins the poll. Note that if you include a high number of specifics/create a prompt that will necessitate a variety of different scenes, some things may get glossed over or left out entirely in the finished work, depending on how I feel things are going when I'm writing.

I'm keeping the limit of no more than six characters total being focused on in any sex scene(s), but am clarifying this a bit further to manage expectations. I'm no longer going to commit to something that would effectively require five distinct sex scenes in a single installment. If you're going to submit something that calls for one particular character to hook up with five others, your best bet for all of them to be featured is if the prompt allows for threesomes/moresomes. If the nature of the prompt would call for five different pairings to be featured separately (one character breeds five others is a good example that has come up), some of them may wind up being glossed over/happen 'off screen', or be set up to happen after the story ends. Hopefully this makes sense and isn't too confusing. Basically, just be prepared for some character(s) to be relegated to the background if the prompt causes the story to stretch too long. I'm not trying to discourage people from submitting things with multiple characters/pairings; I just want to manage expectations and make sure everyone knows what to expect.

Keep in mind that my normal “won’t write” list as well as Patreon’s restricted content are both in effect here, which means no M/M, Scat/watersports, Mpreg, vore, torture/mutilation, snuff, necrophilia, lolicon/shota, noncon, incest and bestiality. There’s always the chance you might come up with something not on this list that I’m uncomfortable writing, and if so, I’ll let you know.

We'll try it out this way for now, but I'm definitely open to modifying things as we go along in the year, based on feedback, suggestions and general patron interest.
