This week I started by working on some time-consuming art I had postponed but wanted to complete soon.

I updated my planning and flowcharts, played and polished parts of the episode, and wrote much of the missing content.

I have a handful of scenes left to write and a handful of lewd scenes that need animations. 20 scenes of varying length, including two free-roam events, need static renders. The range per scene is likely 20-200 static renders, so it's hard to tell how many renders are left to make. In my mind, it's at least 1000 more.

I have some important scenes left to create, and they will get the attention they deserve. There are other tasks I won't list left too. I'm considering making a checklist of what's left when we get closer.

The static render count is at 4267, and next week I will focus on it again - hopefully giving it a good bump. I'll have another preview ready for you soon. The animation queue is solid enough to last at least another week before I need to work on animations again.

I have a good flow, work very methodically, feel motivated, and am making good progress daily.

Have a nice weekend.

Love the storyline, it's truly awesome. I do have an honest question though, and I can't emphasis enough that I am not trying to sound like a DIK or cause trouble because I have no idea what's involved with making these games. Does it really take a year to update each time? Seems like it would take a decade to finish a story. I see some of these dev's receiving close to and if not over $5000 a month from supporters. That's a pretty good living for just working on a story. They talk about buying new hardware to speed up the process time but it doesnt really seem to. What are your thoughts on this Dr?

Glasss

I have a question Doc, which might have been asked/answered already. Loved the guitar/performer line of the story and am itching to know if will we be able to play stratocasters and rock the crowd? That could hold some interesting branching options too. Just asking hopingly 🤘😎. By the way, thanx for your ongoing work and updates. 😁

Awesome! Have a great weekend Doc!

It looks like the current development time for each episode is 7-9 months. (E10 is seven months and counting.) This is not surprising given the length and complexity of the episodes, and the fact that DPC is a solo developer. A single episode of BaD contains as much, if not more, content (including branching narratives and minigames) as entire "seasons" of other AVNs sold on Steam. The only way for him to speed up development would be to outsource work, which he doesn't want to do. I don't see how he can and maintain quality. Other games that have teams of artists producing static renders often have inconsistent renders that don't quite work together in a scene and sometimes don't even match the dialog.

Glasss

Well, if all trolls brake loose, a strat could be used as club as a last resort and the amp cord as a lasso :)) . But I was thinking more on the line of a path as full musician/concert devil :P

Scott

Just consider the branching alone, very ambitious, and for all the branches to have such detailed nuances and prerequisites to get certain outcomes. He not only does this all by himself, but he pays attention to every little detail. Like I said in a previous post. It does take a while for episodes but they are always worth the wait and I have a feeling, with all the branching and character development he puts into it, that it may take longer in the future. I understand the impatience but it is always rewarded. Just my two cents, if it's worth that much.

Scott

If I'm not mistaken, Doc plays guitar. So I would imagine he also plays electric guitar. Maybe he will bless us with a live performance as MC in the future. I think he has enough on his plate now but hey you never know.

Filip

Is it weird that I care more about this game than any other TV show or series? Doc is literally a genius

Big A

Love the writing in this, today's tv and movies are suffering because of social agendas. I love frat comedy I'm lost with stuff their coming out with today. This is where it's at for me . Thank you Doc!

Being a Dik: Come for the porn, stay for the amazing story and characters........... And porn

Scott

There's always been social agendas. As in, mainstream entertainment. It has changed a lot since I was a kid.

Any way you can add quality life update and include the counter of your loves interests? like a phone app or something like that? that counts how close you are to someone and vise versa? +5 hearts or -5 rivalry, kinda like in Dragon Age 2 I guess idk. In any case, I just can't wait for the season 3 release on steam! Keep up the good work)

Big A

Bring me back to the 80s/90s all made sense to me then 😂

As others have said DPC works alone and I'm sure by the time we get to the last chapter or 2 its going to take him a year or more to produce those just because of the sheer number of possible outcomes from each decision the player makes. The branches on this tree are enormous already and only get bigger and bigger with each chapter.

CougarPatrol

seems like we're halfway there fellas

Beautiful Bro

I've got a really good feeling about this episode.

DrPinkCake

No, I believe I answered this in-depth in one of my Q&As. Long story short, I had it in the first few versions but removed it after the game's focus became a min-maxing of those points for many players. I wanted the focus shifted back to my original intent, that the choices matter more than just a +-1 stat.

Edge

Thank you for replying, a follow up question about pretty much same thing. Why or rather will you still leave the complete guides on steam the way they are? Because they include the choices that give like +/- Rep stuff. Are they going to stay? I know you are not supposed to play off of the guide, but when you are replaying the game multiple times and at times you forget what choices for which characters you supposed to make. Thank you in advance!

A10forthewin

Oh and I also noticed something on the last play through - when power goes out there are running footsteps - it sounded like a ladys - HUM?

Scott

Just a thirsty ghoul with the bluest eyes we've ever seen.

So its gonna be out in august or september?
