Upcoming Price Change for New Subscribers (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone!
I wanted to let you know that I’ll soon be increasing the price of my "One-4-All" tier from $5 to $6. This change will take effect on March 1st, 2025, and will apply ONLY to new subscriptions. If you’re already a member, your price will stay at $5 forever—as long as you don’t cancel your subscription. That’s a promise.
Why this change?
The main reason is simple: this has become my full-time job. When I first started, my Patreon was more of a side project, and I set the price at $5 because I had very little content to offer. But over time, I’ve been able to create a bigger library of comics, and I feel that the current pricing no longer reflects the amount of work I put into them.
I’m incredibly grateful that I can make a living doing this, and I owe it all to you. I don’t take that for granted for a second. But after a year of pouring my time and energy into these comics, I think this small adjustment is fair—especially considering that lower pricing can sometimes give the wrong impression about quality.
Another reason for this change
Some of you have been supporting me nonstop for months, even over a year. Others subscribe for a while, then take a break and return later to optimize costs—which I completely understand! It’s a smart way to save a bit while still supporting me.
This price change is a way for me to reward those who have been here consistently. The $5 tier will no longer be available, and only "veteran" supporters (anyone subscribed before March 1st) will keep this early supporter rate.
If you prefer to optimize your subscription by subscribing every other month, you can still do so—it will remain a cost-effective approach. Just keep in mind that if you cancel and resubscribe later, you’ll lose the legacy $5 pricing.
One last thing...
Since I’m already writing this (sorry for the long post, haha), I wanted to address something I sometimes see in exit surveys (don’t worry, they’re anonymous!). Some people feel I’m not active enough.
I totally get where that comes from. In theory, I could release a comic every week. Some shorter ones, like A Christmas Present, take me half the time to make. Why? Because they have fewer images per panel—about 20-25 images total, compared to the 40+ images in my usual comics. That would save me a ton of time on generation, editing (I manually retouch every single image), and paneling.
But as most of you know, I prioritize quality over speed. Every comic takes a lot of time and effort, and while I understand that waiting sometimes up to two weeks between releases can be frustrating, I believe it’s worth it—that’s the cost of quality over quantity.
I know some of you might say I don’t need to justify myself, but I felt it was important to clarify this—especially for those who are new to my content. AI image generation is still in its early stages, and if you’re not super familiar with the process, it might seem like it only takes a few seconds to generate an image—so making a comic should only take a few minutes, right? Unfortunately, that’s not (yet) the case. 😅
TL;DR:
If you want to lock in the exclusive early supporter price, subscribe before March 1st, 2025!
This isn’t to pressure anyone—I just don’t want anyone to be disappointed later if they miss the chance to stay at $5.
If you enjoy my work and want me to keep making these comics, this is the only way to support me.
A huge thank you to everyone who already supports me. You make this possible, and I appreciate you more than I can say.
Let’s embrace 2025 with tons of exciting new BE content!
