Just here to find out more about Jake’s dreams

Jack Campau

Jake-biology lore drop please

Phillip

Gotta know about Jake’s dreams. Oh..the rest of the crew is here? That’s fine

Frank

Idk if this is just a coincidence, but hearing murph talk about Auriochs (how do you even spell his name?) playing out different timelines immediately brought to mind my favorite stoner/time fucker wizard Alanis in C1

Matt Zierden

Next mixed bag, just all the Jake lore?

J. Marshall Smith

This bit about being a middle aged power ranger is exactly the plot of a comic I was thinking about making but didn't really know what to do with it past the basic premise

jbyrd

I need to know what Jake chooses to dream about. I'm guessing judge robes, being taller than Tucker and freely burping

bacchicbasileus

Might be the bluntski making me pensive, but if you say "Intro no more, 2024" all 2024, isn't that an intro?

Ricky the Moist

811 call before you dig mention baby!!

Ricky the Moist

I just feel like an obligatory please call 811 before even planting a flower. We care about your fucking safety.

Kelsey K

I had a very vivid dream when I was like 7 (no cherry juice involved) that I dug a hole so deep I uncovered devil horns, and as a young child raised catholic it scared me so bad I cried until my mom woke up and let me watch Charlotte’s Web in the middle of the night. Whenever I tell people about it they’re like “why were you so scared of horns…?” I feel so validated right now THANK YOU CALDWELL

joel

definitely need the devil punching caldwell in the nuts on the next drawing stream

Jacob B.

How many of y'all had recursive dreams? Like dreams within dreams? You wake up from one, think you're in real life, then realize you're just in a dream again. I'm like Jake funnily enough where all my my dreams are lucid

Totally Offside

Thank Gods Caldwell finally got there that the "Swag" at the alchemist's lab was not necessarily the real one.

MillenialMeat

I smoke too much weed so I've rarely had a dream in a very long time.

Myka

It's still fun traveling into back paneled room or something hidden, I get a sense of joy from it even as an adult.

Kiera Walshe-Urbancic

I NEED to know where Emily is getting her horoscopes from!!!

Callum Taylor

I never imagined a parkour guy running alongside the car… but I did imagine Super Mario.

Nick_Nack_Patty_Whack

I think Murph’s Power Ranger animal would be a giant ground sloth.

Katy Howells

“Guaranteed to jack you up”

Shannon Lee

A lot of animes I watched had 14 year old antagonists (Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Gundam Wing), so I was so excited to turn 14! And devastated when I turned 15 without incident. 😅

Thomas Hegarty

I had the exact same feeling as Murph and was so disappointed when I didn’t mutate during puberty

Hue

Genuine book rec I feel like after the doors talk anyone who wants should read the wayward children series by seanan mcguire. The first book is every heart a doorway. They are short and just really really good

Tim

I have never seen The Faculty, but the cast is pretty stacked. My favorite is that Usher is in it.

Sarah Phelan

Yall should play kingdom death monster not inspired by dungeons and daddies named their tribe after you guys

MJ the BFG

For some my reason my, "Its on" movie is Strange Days

Ellen

It's interesting how the "every afternoon Comedy Central movie" changed with time. I'm not that much older than the crew, and mine were definitely PCU and Airheads.

Tannictor

I too had that exact fear Caldwell, yet digging was all I did at recess lol.

Jelly

I need to know caldwell’s favorite jjk character

Ilana Galpert

did anyone else hear the voice at 17:54?

Ilana Galpert

not aliens or robots, I imagined that myself and a few other people were "real" humans living in a world of monsters pretending to be/hunting humans

Babygramps

I've consistently been lucid dreaming since recovering from a concussion several years ago, shout out to the snooze crew!

Mich Blackie

I went through every construction site or condemned building I saw just in case there was an Andolite waiting to make me an animorph 😅

Lorelei The Succubi and Kyra The succulent snack

For a week straight me and my roommates when we had our party house took turns playing and watching all seven Leprechaun movies on repeat. None of us laughed we just existed like zombies with how much we watched it. I think the only scene that still made us laugh was a guy dying in a dres asking not to die in a dress

iamnotjackblack

Not a movie but my senior year of college my roommates and I always kept nathan for you on, even when Noone was home. Like I remember even coming back between classes and making sure it was still playing

Malcolm Leehan

I also can't burp, and I also lucid dream @jake. Wonder if they're related. There's a whole subreddit for the non burping thing!

Caroline Groß

When I was very new to DnD I would often be overwhelmed by situations and completely forget my animal familiar, failing to incorporate it - it really helped me to have a little figurine of it on the desk, as a visual reminder. Maybe that could be an idea for Emily and Foster 😉

naddpod

I’m caught up on the manga so it’s either Kinji or Takaba! Both of their techniques crack me up! ~Caldwell

Jessica

The really old movie Escape to Witch Mountain had me convinced as a kid that I was maybe an alien who had powers. Ear ringing confirmed that suspicion! 😂😂

foster the boneless duck

how did you guys not talk about jake lucid dreaming?? we have so many questions!

snakejanders

I do very similar things as emily with horoscopes. I have a tarot reading from over 2 years ago that I still haven't looked at

Aidan Boyle

My uni "just throw it on" experience wasn't a dvd, it was usually a John Mullaney special

Melissa Shilale

‘As a kid, you invent hypotheticals to scare yourself.’ Sir, I am 33.

Nikolaus Cox

Archaeologist here! Historically fossils of ammonites-a prehistoric cephalopod from the Mesozoic Period that had a spiral shell-were seen by early Greeks as sacred symbols associated with the horned god, Jupiter Ammon. They called them Cornu Ammonis (horns of Ammon), from which the scientific name "ammonite" is derived. Ammon was the Greek variant of the horned Egyptian god Amun, who is believed by some to have been the horned god Moloch worshipped by the people of Ammon, east of the Jordan River (in modern-day Jordan, the capital of which, Amman, is named after this Iron Age people). Horned gods, including Ammon (which is to say, Amun and Moloch), were typified in the Old Testament as being devils, because they were the deities of the people who fought against the ancient Hebrew tribes. This became the inspiration for horned devils in the art of the Middle Ages, and is why the Devil is often depicted as a chap with horns today. All this is to say, Caldwell, that while you were digging as a child you could have easily unearthed an ammonite fossil, and wouldn't have been crazy to associate them with devil horns!

Simon Hughes

Oh boy, can't wait for the dream talk that I signed up for the patreon for

Erin Ebsen

"Do I make you thorny baby!?"

Nathaniel Thomas

Caldwell's "little Parkhurst man" awakened a latent memory. Mine was always wolverine, jumping over buildings and flipping over powerlines as he followed me to school.

Cameron A

I'm confused, why hasn't Murph renamed the episode "the fox and the fog"?

katytron

i GOTTA know this psychic emily follows

Elise Brinkmann

Emily what’s the astrologers name

Clio

This is insane I must know more because I kinda stopped dreaming after a concussion a few years ago

Bransy330

TBS used to play The Faculty constantly in the early 2000's. I distinctly remember watching it on our tiny kitchen TV

Meghan Breen

The Faculty is 100% sexy, just like anything with Famke Janssen 🤩😍🤩😍. I'm just sayin'....

Sophie Cook

oh the note of revisiting the character's horoscopes, I'd love to hear from Murph about how he plans for characters seeing a possible future in the campaign? I really want to try this but I feel like the nature of D&D means they can always change the direction things go

Katie P.

Havoc is really good, I've used that vibe before in my games because of the whole backstory of the Sacred Jewel from Inuyasha (eternal soul fight)

Jackson Mosher

I'm confused -- when did the breakfast scene happen? was that in the previous episode? Murph started off this ep with the Albin call

Jack Inman

Murph is just describing Paul Atreides

Hannah M

This confused me too. The breakfast scene is episode 55 timestamp 1:08:00 (ad-free)

Maya Asheim Breidablik

Can confirm that kids love tiny doors. I used to have a small café that had a tiny door under some old stairs that I would decorate with Halloween decorations and a box of candy for kids to find and the look on their faces as they found what they assumed was a hidden treasure was the best thing I've ever seen
