Spell check is fun! But for the case with the DM tpk I don't think that DM did anything wrong until he said your actions have consequences. The cleric would probably use their turn either way to bring everyone up, so the lie didn't really change anything unless the Baron got an auto Crit or something. If the DM hadn't said anything about drinking an ale what would have changed? Would the party not get brought up?

I have seen people jumbling up the letters before putting them through a Caesar cipher. And if they did that, it would have taken an astronomical amount of time for them to figure out the correct letter shift and then solve the anagrams.

I was confused by the math on the Dice-Christ confession. If the PC was at -14 from 55 damage, this means they had at lease 41HP before being hit. Which means their max HP needs to be at least 41? To be killed instantly you need to take damage that reduces you to 0 and the damage remaining equals or exceeds your hit point maximum. So for a character with 41HP to die instantly, they need to take at least 82 damage in one hit. The DM realised the PC should have take 77 damage rather than 55. But this still shouldn't be enough to kill the PC. Also, they described 2 perytons critting. Which would have been 2 separate attacks. I understand rolling the damage for multiple attacks together, for convenience and expediency. But RAW for the purposes of instant death, they should have been rolled separately, not pooled together into one big stack of damage.

I really like spell check. As an audience member, it is something we can participate in at home like jeopardy so that adds to it. Plus I just love when people go through the spell components because every non cost associated one is a joke and most of them are pretty good. I think it also really proves you shouldn't be expected to have anything beyond your spell focus/component pouch and cost added components because they ARE clearly jokes.
