Victoria Fair

Wooo bucket hats for everyone!

Marni Russell

“Hey murph….get there” changed my life

Jeff McCarroll

Generous read? There was a miscommunication and the DM was going to run their character as an NPC when they couldn’t be there. So that they could play the character when they are there?

sawnnyM

Murph finally making the mistake of a contextless bit, after years of fighting against them is so so funny. But it's only l not an L let that be clear haters.

Natalie Kangas

I feel like the appropriate answer to "how much experience will I earn for murdering this beloved NPC" is "zero, you psychopath"

Ben Delahay

The anti Paladin bias in the court needs to be quashed. I don’t know how they became the enemy when one person turned on them and killed them. How are they the wrong ones in this scenario? You all are toxic.

Bonky Fiasco

Can’t believe Rekha stayed for the short rest! I thought she’d be surfing!

Ollie

Tell the coworker dm who stole ur character that you based them on a beloved family member who sadly passed :((

Connor

Murph getting slain by Emily’s “get there” is the friendly fire I live for

dryptid

who's to say the Sea Star wasnt surfing whilst recording

Maggie O

As a Maggie who grew up near a dog park - I feel you

Noah Ramirez

i bow before the venerable justices, thus shoving my ass in the face of the prone bailiff and offer a pitch. dnd court: rose parade. a special episode of dnd court where instead of cases of strife and conflict, you call for cases of really rad shit that’s happened in peoples home games. there might not be as much conflict, but it might be nice.

Balnor’s Best Friend - Steve

I want to go on record that I am not this best friend, feels important to clear the air before I primary the mayor.

SaltyBurrito

I disagree on toxic but yeah the sorcerer was incredibly wrong. Even just by casting sleep so the paladin players just sit there for however long is left with no agency. Bad sorcerer and bad dm for letting it happen

Zippidi Skibidi

There needs to be a patron support tier where you get to sponsor a Bahumia NPC and get updates on their life

thiswayjose

We are so snacking on that tiny l

Professor Pratt

The blood hunter should’ve asked if they could play NIN

Professor Pratt

Maggie-nator, Magnus, MagicMag, The Artist Formerly Known as Maggie.

Featherweight

I would LOVE a one shot or mini champagne were everyone played versions of notable D&D court nightmare characters.

Samantha

Rekha was so funny!!

Gotta show love for Rekha where ever I am see her!

Belle

what the hell was murph talking about with that bucket hat comment ?

So sauced.

my name is maggie and a popular nickname my friends call me is magatha. this episode was very confusing for me.

Something I think the justices really lost in the Synth-Bard case is that we have no context on how serious this campaign was before the new player joined, and even if it wasn't the most serious campaign ever run, Strahd is kind of a serious campaign by its nature. It's imo incredibly likely that prior to this player joining, it was a fairly serious campaign, and that the introduction of "we resolved this conflict with an 80s pop ballad" killed the vibe of the campaign that the Bloodhunter had been into. The case really rests on how much of a disruption this new silly character was to the established vibe. If it was already pretty silly, then everything the justices said is reasonable. If it was fairly serious, the Bloodhunter player was completely within their rights to be upset at a drastic tone shift, especially when it was someone joining a campaign they already had some amount of investment in. Obviously that doesn't justify being an asshole about it out of game, but I don't really think it's fair to demonize them for enjoying the serious side of the campaign. I'd also say that repeatedly trying to get their character involved when they clearly weren't into it was kind of a dick move. The justices are right that not everyone is into every part of a campaign, and sometimes you have to sit back and let the other players do their thing. On the other hand, you need to know that when you're doing something you enjoy, you can't force the other players to enjoy it, and if they aren't interested, you need to let them step back. The justices fail to account for the fact that the submitter admitted to not *letting* the Bloodhunter step back, and that the rest of the party repeatedly tried to get them involved in this (frankly ridiculous) scene. Walking off into the woods clearly wasn't the other player's first reaction to this, and tbh I think it's a pretty reasonable way to remove themselves when the rest of the table wasn't respecting that they didn't want to be a part of this scene.

Gearbox

Man, Ragnar is absolutely going to become the kind of guy who says "I tried d&d, but I wasn't good at it so I quit." He needs some more sympathy as a new player!

Joe Pagani

Isn't a W just two big L's

Sido Hikami

Idk Murph, all these tiny L’s are gonna compile into a Huge L 😂 the haters are gonna have a Buffett

Joseph P

Hamden! Represent the 203

Maggie

As someone named Maggie whose brothers called Magatha growing up, this was a very funny and confusing episode to listen to lol

Lindsay R

I’m laughing picturing the mayor being Eric Adams

Jack el destripador

Another DBZ mixed bag in honor of the late, great Akira Toriyama? R.I.P

I offer my expert witness statement at the pleasure of the honorable Crit and the valued public servant, bailiff Cake. I serve on my city council and was the Mayor of my city until December. The mayor in your case is likely subject to state reporting laws for gifts that they recieve because of their position, so, given that they got a special mini, they MUST report. In my state there is a value they cannot go above (for me it's $300), so depending on the value of the mini and dnd experience combined they may be subject to fines or imprisonment.

tonytheoneandonly

Emma41420

Everytime Jake mentions being from Connecticut, I get jump-scared. Sending love from Hartford♡♡♡~ Also absolutely adored Rekha's guest appearance on these 2 episodes, I desperately want to hear her and Emily at the same table 🤩

Ken W

This post / episode is missing the Short Rest tag.

Logan Adams

I instantly read that wife the bad guy, and had some choice words for her. Only time I've been completely shocked by their ruling. (so fast too)

RealCoffeeBean

I love that the first case accidentally came up with the concept of an idle TTRPG
