The long distance hasn’t always been simple, but the trips back and forth and all the late-night calls have kept you close. Now it’s the holidays, and you’re in Paris to spend Christmas with your French girlfriend and her family. Some days before, curled up together on the sofa while snow falls outside, you talk about the past year: everything you’ve shared, everything you’ve built, and how it feels to finally be meeting her parents.

You'd think that cuddling with your girlfriend, soft-spoken chitchat, and reminiscing by the fireplace would be the perfect environment for putting you to sleep. Buuuttt...then she asks you to try and say something in French, you pause, give it a try, and can't stop laughing for the next 10 minutes trying to say "joyeux noël" 💀 But your sweet singing and humming made up for it 😌😴 Also 100% agree when people say that one of the best ways to get a taste of a different culture is through its food ☺️

I can't express how much I loved hearing about all that food. I'm a massive foodie, talking to a partner about something as normal and everyday as food feels very nice. Also now I want to try making some French meals.
