R: why are you recruiting so many operatives to look into something you know doesnt exist?

D: i said the Croaking doesnt exist, not that there was never a Crow King.

D: no. the king was killed in the Crow War 50 years ago by your grandmother. im just making sure any rumors circulating have no basis. a corvid leader, royally titled or no, could disrupt life here. i recognized the mistake for what it was, but cant afford to allow any of them to have any ideas of grandeur, whether by weapon or ruler.
