Hi! This is a balance update I have been thinking of for a while. It's meant to balance the DPS of AOE/single target characters, and make non-ranged characters more attractive picks. I've also finished planning the new levels, and next week I should be able to release them!

  • Warrior base attack timer lowered to 0.4
  • Thief base attack timer lowered to 0.2
  • Priestess base attack timer lowered to 0.6
  • Witch base attack timer lowered to 1.5
  • Bard base attack timer lowered to 0.6
  • Spellblade base attack timer lowered to 0.2
  • Knight base attack timer lowered to 0.5
  • Attack timer increase due to weight level is now (base attack timer)*(weight level)*(speed reduction). It used to be (base attack timer) + 1.0 * (weight level)*(speed reduction)
  • Knight now has a light pierce AOE, that lets her hit the enemy behind her target as well

I guess that means when i get speed reduction to 100%, i'll hit instantaneous speeds

Yeah, there's no cooldown as is. It's just hitting time after time with no need to worry about strategy or limits as long as there's a support in the group. I don't mean to whinge, but I think the previous method was superior, where even a heavily upgraded party required strategy in order to get the best times. That said, I love what you did with the Knight's attack pattern.

I guess I underestimated how many people had upgraded their party to the point they had like 99% reduction. This is going to call for further adjustments

Mainly I wanted to make melee and single target characters much faster compared to ranged and aoe characters to balance how quickly they can do damage. The change to the speed formula is to preserve these differences in speed at high weights
