Chapter 71 - Schwi Meets Jibril
Inside the cave, Riku returned to the human stronghold with Schwi. This should have been a routine return, but this time, Riku felt a nervous tension.
As soon as he opened the door, Corona Dola hugged him. "Finally back."
"Get everyone together. It's important," Riku said seriously. "I found a way to change our destiny."
"What?" Corona, putting aside her usual playfulness, called everyone Riku had mentioned. These were brave and resourceful individuals, committed to the survival of humanity as a race.
Riku had decided to pick a select group and pull them into the cyber cafe to learn online.
Through Schwi, Riku learned the truth about the Great War. The gods had started this war to compete for the ultimate divine position, the Throne of One True God.
In the Red Alert plot mode, time moved differently than in the outside world. While pushing through the plot, Riku spent a lot of time thinking about how to end the war and ensure future generations could live without fear.
An Allied intelligence officer introduced him to the 'Art of War,' encompassing global military strategies. The intelligence officer, concerned for Riku's safety, also summarized and released a lot of political content.
During this learning period, Riku realized that there are no eternal enemies, only eternal interests.
Humans weren't taken seriously because they couldn't even defeat the orcs. To change this, humans needed to launch a counterattack against the gods and claim the Suniaster.
Riku conveyed this revelation to the 179 people present, who had absolute conviction and strong execution. They chose to disappear from human society like ghosts, focusing on their studies. They planned to guide the major races' movement, and ultimately, snatch the Suniaster.
During this time, more and more people joined the cyber cafe. Liu Yuan's smile grew wider as Riku brought more people in daily. Health problems weren't a concern; anyone entering the internet cafe was automatically cleaned.
Despite the automatic cleaning, Liu Yuan still showered daily out of habit. "So refreshing!"
With Riku's group constantly consuming resources, Liu Yuan expanded by adding ten more machines. Riku's side had limited resources but made up for it with numbers and teamwork, scavenging the world together. With Schwi's help, they dismantled and sold airship parts found in a dwarf ruins, enough to support twenty people online simultaneously.
At this stage, Riku and Schwi were responsible for scavenging, while the rest focused on studying and teaching what they learned in the game to others. Red Alert's realism mode offered command abilities, technological, cultural, and agricultural knowledge.
However, choosing the right plot to learn from was crucial. Bad command decisions meant repeating levels, but the knowledge gained was invaluable.
One day, Riku and Schwi encountered a special information about a forbidden magic in the Elven ruins, with the power to blow up the planet.
"Damn! Are they trying to destroy this planet?" Riku's anger flared.
These races, created by the gods, treated native life like playthings.
"Riku..." Schwi began.
"It's okay, I'm just a bit pissed off," he replied.
"Good, don't be angry. Schwi kiss~" Schwi offered a comforting kiss, but Riku prioritized work over affection for now.
"Let's tear down these ruins," he said.
"Leave it to Schwi!"
The two worked for ten hours. Even with the internet cafe's system enhancements, Riku, as a human, was tired after ten hours of high-intensity labor.
They had gathered a large amount of resources, and Riku couldn't help but smile. "The future will get better and better."
Riku stretched, and Schwi approached with a pillow. "Rest for a while. Leave the rest to Schwi."
Riku nodded. "Then I'll rest for a while. Wake me if there's danger."
"I... will." Schwi hesitated for the first time, despite being a machine capable of solving complex problems instantly.
She continued working, scavenging valuable knowledge and debris. Though a few dozen kilometers away, she could return to Riku within seconds if needed.
This Eleven Ruin capital site was vast, and it was unknown why they had left. The system estimated the site was worth about 100,000, enough to keep everyone online for a while.
"To... Riku..."
Using some Spirits to speed up, Schwi attracted some special attention.
"Originally, I was just wandering around and sensed Spirit fluctuations. I didn't expect to find something interesting here. Hello, Scrap."
Above Schwi, a girl with long, flowing hair like a rainbow and a geometrically patterned wheel of light spinning on her head appeared. Her amber eyes were filled with a tangible killing intent.
Flugel!
Schwi hadn't expected to encounter a Flugel here!
Chapter 72 - Schwi vs. Jibril: Nuclear Strike
Meanwhile, in the internet cafe, Liu Yuan, who was staying up all night playing games with Kisara, suddenly had a bad premonition.
"Terrier, play by yourself. I'm going out," he said abruptly.
Kisara took off his glasses and muttered in dissatisfaction, "How many times have I said, my name is Kisara, not Terrier. Also, what are you doing going out so late?"
"Going to find the little girl."
"??"
"Then don't come back!" Kisara casually picked up an unopened Coke and threw it at Liu Yuan's head. Liu Yuan grabbed a bottle of iced Coke from the front desk, threw it back, and retorted, "It's nighttime here, but not necessarily elsewhere. And you demon, is your brain filled with anything other than yellow dye?"
"Come on!" Kisara caught the iced cola and looked at Liu Yuan, who had already left, muttering in dissatisfaction, "I don't want to."
At the same time, on the other side, Jibril's wings were fully unfolded, and a smile full of killing intent spread across her face. Seeing this, Schwi's eyes widened, showing a trace of emotion. She closed her eyes and then opened them, suppressing her feelings.
"[Warning], hostility detected. This unit will implement appropriate measures," Schwi stated.
"With just one you?" Jibril's question disturbed Schwi. As an Ex Machina, she knew the odds of a solo body encountering a Flugel species, especially when completely disconnected from the group network, were low.
So why is this one here?!
"I've confirmed no Ex Machina within 100 kilometers. This is a rare opportunity to face a Flugel alone. Fortunately, the Ex Machina has no concept of death, so there's no point in futile resistance..."
"I refuse!" Schwi interrupted Jibril. "This unit is an abandoned body with no value. Please let me go."
Jibril showed a momentary look of dismay before an excited, perverted grin spread across her face.
"A Ex Machina that fears death and begs for mercy? And it's a defective item that is disconnected from the main body? Fantastic odds!"
Jibril drooled, her smile growing even more perverted. As her weapon appeared in her hand, Schwi calculated the likelihood of victory.
The result was... 0.
"Alles-L?sen..."
The machinery belonging to the Ex Machina appeared around Schwi's body, and her right hand transformed into a small cannon barrel.
"The probability of 0 doesn't exist. I'll bet all of human intellect to survive," Schwi declared.
"Huh?" Jibril's smile widened, and instead of attacking, she looked at Schwi suspiciously. "Oops? Don't Ex Machina parse and mimic other races?"
Schwi didn't give Jibril a chance to speak further. She launched her attack first. The cannon fire, powered by Spirits, hit Jibril, allowing Schwi to fly away.
Schwi used the surrounding terrain to dodge Jibril, but it was in vain. Using Spirits made it impossible to hide from Jibril's tracking. In terms of speed, her body wasn't even as fast as an average Flugel, let alone this weird Flugel.
Jibril appeared in front of Schwi, intercepting her with a wide smile. Just as Schwi was about to be attacked, a small shield appeared on her left arm, blocking Jibril's strike.
"What?" Jibril was surprised. Such a small shield without any Spirit had blocked her attack?
This caused Jibril to show an even more excited expression. She wanted to have fun with Schwi for a while.
Utilizing this moment, Schwi managed to fly up into the sky, standing tall and aiming her cannon at the charging Jibril.
"Nuclear strike is ready! Fire!" Schwi shouted.
"What?" Jibril sensed an extraordinary power from Schwi's cannon. This power wasn't made up of Spirit, causing Jibril to hesitate for a split second.
At that moment, Schwi's cannon, powered by a Nuclear reaction, fired. Normal machinery couldn't withstand the power of a nuclear bomb blast, but an Ex Machina could. Schwi wasn't subjected to high temperatures; instead, the Nuclear Strike was fired in a flash.
Very miniscule Spirits were used for this process, but the power that erupted was enough to make any race pay attention.
"What is this?" Jibril exclaimed as she frantically dodged the hellfire.
Schwi didn't explain. Instead, she pointed her left hand to the sky, launching a ray of light. This was a skill she had created based on the Allied Army's super weapon, the Weather Control Device, it's attack is...
"Lightning Storm!" Schwi announced. The clouds in the sky began to build up power, a power that was like a mosquito bite to the Flugel species was not harmful but irritating.
With the nuclear bomb and lightning storm striking, Schwi used a Hyperspace Teleport.
She didn't use Spirit Gate for dodging because it required a large number of Spirits. Hyperspace Teleportation, however, used Spirit only as an energy source; the real core was her as a machine.
In an instant, Schwi teleported thousands of kilometers away, beyond the detection range of the Flugel. She could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
For the first time, she experienced both nervousness and happiness. She was only fleeing, but she had escaped from Jibril, a legendary Flugel. This memory would stay with her forever.
She also recorded the blunder of using Sprits and alerting the Flugel species. Such a mistake couldn't happen again.
She decided to wait until Jibril had left for good before returning to Riku.
"Schwi is strong!" Schwi clenched her fists and repeated what she had said to Riku one more time.
"Scrap metal? Are you having fun?" Jibril's sudden voice caused Schwi to pause.
"!!!"
Subconsciously sidestepping, Jibril's fierce blow sent Schwi flying through three mountains. The attack damaged multiple parts of Schwi's body, and as she landed, Jibril stopped her with a kick.
"I didn't realize that machinery could have feelings. I have a bad feeling coming from you, I'm not taking anymore chances, so it's better to just leave the head this time."
Jibril no longer wanted to play. She felt a throbbing sensation as if being targeted by a beast. To avoid any further delay, she decided to make it quick and cut off Schwi's head.
Power gathered in Jibril's hands, and this time, she wouldn't miss. Just one blow, and Schwi's head would be severed.
"Looks like I came just in time. Riku, I'm not talking about you. You have to keep her well in bed to prevent her from wandering off, and oh, now you're in danger, aren't you? Hey, what are you getting excited about? Go, carry your Schwi away. I'll take care of her."
Accompanied by Liu Yuan's sudden voice, a golden light in the sky blocked Jibril's blow. The smile on Jibril's face disappeared as she looked at the man who had suddenly appeared.
Chapter 73 - Shameless Internet Cafe Owner
"Who are you?" asked Jibril.
Liu Yuan replied, "If I follow your worldview, I'm a monkey just like him."
Without further conversation, Liu Yuan swung his blood-red katana, sending blood-colored thorns spreading through the sky. Jibril dodged at full speed, sensing that touching these blood blades would be disastrous.
But Liu Yuan's attack didn't stop there. He waved his katana with his right hand and his staff with his left, causing stars to appear in the sky.
Underneath, purple meteorites began to fall.
This was the real "Meteorites of Astel", using the stars in the universe to launch a fierce attack within a certain range. The skill didn't need maintenance once activated; as long as there was magic power, it would remain connected to the starry sky.
As long as the concept of "sky and the universe" above are present, Meteorites of Astel will continuously fire with low maintenance cost, capable of bringing down enemies with ease, one of the True powers of the Elden Lord.
Jibril was caught off guard. Many of her abilities needed preparation, and in her current form, she hadn't had time to increase her resistance to interruptions through the Spirit Circuits. Liu Yuan's various skills instantly suppressed her.
This was just the beginning. As she was off-balance, Liu Yuan activated the 'Zeitgeist Craft' on his body.
This weaponry, researched by Siegfried in Red Alert 2: Mental Omega, included a freezing ray that hit Jibril, rendering her completely immobile.
She couldn't use her Magic nor move Spirits, and seeing the equipment on Liu Yuan, she felt a bad premonition.
The freezing ray immobilized her and all the elves around her. Chrono Freeze involved two stages: first freezing, then teleporting. The stronger the resistance and the farther the distance, the longer the teleportation time. Liu Yuan's target for teleportation was the nearest star.
Despite her strength, Jibril was no match for the sun but Liu Yuan detected a high-energy reaction as she found a way to break the freeze. She unleashed the remaining spirit in her body, disrupting the freeze ray and launching an onslaught on Liu Yuan.
Liu Yuan immediately shook the Spirit Calling Bell. The Mimic Tear appeared, and burning red chakra enveloped his body. The power of the Nine Tails chakra also appeared. The chakra, strengthened by the system, could be used for a maximum of twenty minutes before becoming unusable.
The Tailed Beast Ball began to accumulate, and Liu Yuan released a large amount of Erdtree power into it, making it powerful enough to pierce mountains and rivers.
When two Tailed Beast Balls with the same power fused, they could theoretically punch through the planet. Both Liu Yuan and the Mimic Tear built up their power, ready to spar with Jibril.
Jibril, sensing Liu Yuan's power, built up her strongest attack, Heaven Strike.
Meanwhile, on the TT:
Liu Yuan: "Schwi, how does the Ex Machina record enemy skills?"
Schwi: "When hit, it will master the attacker's skills at close range, so it must be attacked first."
Liu Yuan: "Riku, hold on to Schwi. I'll buff you guys later."
A divine protective shield covered both Schwi and Riku, leaving part of Schwi's machine exposed. Liu Yuan understood that the Ex Machina could learn skills by being attacked. Schwi couldn't utilize this trait flexibly yet, so acquiring skills this way was beneficial.
Unfortunately, Schwi could only record attacks with Spirits. Chakra and Golden Tree power couldn't be copied.
Both Jibril's Sky Strike and Liu Yuan's Tailed Beast Ball built up power. They waited for the collision at the peak of their power.
"Heaven Strike!" Jibril unleashed her strongest ability with a smile. A full-strength Heaven Strike could vaporize the sea. If it clashed with Liu Yuan's power-stored Tailed Beast Ball, it would draw attention from all races and be enough to destroy the heavens and the earth.
However, as Jibril used the Heaven's Strike, the Tailed Beast Ball suddenly disappeared. Liu Yuan spread a carpet on the ground, put on sunglasses, and lay down. As the saying goes, when the sky collapses, there's someone taller to hold the roof. For Liu Yuan, that was Riku and Schwi.
"Move forward, yes, that's it. What are you afraid of? I'm here with you."
As Heaven's Strike approached, Liu Yuan casually drank juice, watching the energy ball like a small sun fall. He could deflect it, but doing so would lose the opportunity to learn a good skill.
"Why are you guys looking at me? Don't worry, enjoy this immersive feeling. Too bad the Kisara isn't here."
Liu Yuan sighed as if he was basking in the sun, not facing the strongest attack of the Flugel.
The power of the Heaven's Strike was fast, arriving in the blink of an eye. The elf-powered energy sphere erupted with shocking heat, even hotter than the poplar M launch pad that Riku faced. Schwi's body almost got vaporized, and cracks appeared in the hoods of the two. At this moment, Liu Yuan teleported everyone back to the internet cafe.
Inside the internet cafe, Kisara was still playing games, her cursing voice echoing. Liu Yuan calmly went to the bar and took out some of Schwi's parts, saying, "I told you, keep some, you might be able to use them."
"But boss, it's not..."
Riku knew the cyber cafe's rules: staying after closing time resulted in expulsion and permanent banning.
"It's closing time. You're not here to surf the net, you're here to get your stuff. The store is limited time, but the warehouse is not."
A smile appeared on Liu Yuan's face. If the system wasn't virtual, he would high-five it.
After releasing Heaven's Strike, Jibril, now in juvenile form, looked at the sky with a tearful expression. She thought she had killed everyone with the Sky Strike.
"I fought a strong enemy but didn't even get any loot. What a loss!"
Jibril was about to cry. She had been bored, decided to come down for a stroll, and ended up using Heaven's Strike without gaining any loot.
"Yeah! Two trips back and forth, you made me lose a hundred million dollars. How do you plan to compensate?"
Jibril's eyes widened as she turned to look at Liu Yuan. "What's going on?"
"What's going on? Naive little girl! Let me teach you one thing: a soldier is never deceived."
Jibril prepared to run, but a lasso precisely caught her neck. Liu Yuan threw the lasso forcefully, completely tying her up.
"Gotcha~"
For some reason, both Riku and Schwi shivered when they saw Liu Yuan smile.
Chapter 74 - Grabbing Her Head and Shaking it from Side to Side
"Let go of me! Let go of me! Let go of me!"
Jibril began to protest vehemently, but how could Liu Yuan possibly let her go?
Having to cross back and forth twice made him lose ten thousand dollars. That’s ten thousand dollars, which could buy a computer and earn him six hundred dollars a day. In a thousand or eight hundred years, it could accumulate to a hundred million dollars. Rounded up, that's a hundred million dollars that Jibril cost him, and thus, she couldn't be let go.
"Boss, what about her?"
"Just leave her to me. I'll make sure she compensates me for all my losses."
Liu Yuan had a bright smile on his face. If asked if he could beat Jibril, the answer was yes. Even if he was trying to skimp the match against Jibril, she was bound to lose because he possessed the purest Frenzied Flame in his hand, a fire that could burn everything in the world. If the Elden Lord resort to pure malice and violence, the God of War might bounce back to death, not to mention Jibril.
But why bother fighting her directly? As long as he dodged, the release of Heaven's Strike would lead to the overuse of energy, causing her to revert to a juvenile state. Catching her then would be effortless. Fighting requires brains; why waste energy when he could defeat her with minimal effort?
After bundling Jibril with only her head left unrestrained, Liu Yuan tossed her out and pulled her back like a yo-yo. He then reminded Riku, "Remember, Schwi is a Ex Machina. She might call herself a machine, but you can’t treat her like one. In the future, when you sleep, remember to keep an eye on her. I might not be around next time."
With that, Liu Yuan left. The scene left Riku and Schwi staring at each other. Sensing the awkward atmosphere, Schwi raised her small hand, "Riku! I can create motorized construction vehicles."
"Riku! I can rub out nuclear bombs."
"Riku..."
Seeing that Riku was unmoved, Schwi unconsciously lowered her head.
For the first time, she felt nervousness and... fear? Was this an emotion that should come from a machine?
The scolding she anticipated didn't come. Instead, she felt Riku's warm embrace and saw his self-condemnation.
Inside the internet cafe, Liu Yuan was flinging his yo-yo while shouting to Kisara, who was playing a game, "Look at the new toy I got."
"What?"
Kisara thought it was something fun, but when she saw the pink-haired loli in Liu Yuan's hand, all the glamour in her eyes disappeared. She pulled out a pink blade from somewhere.
"The perverted boss has finally laid his hands out at a little kid. Let me impose heavenly punishment on the boss! Heavenly Execution!!!"
"I'll parry!"
"I slash!"
"I parry again!"
Liu Yuan used Jibril as a shield, holding her body to block Kisara's successive slashes. Jibril, worthy of being a war weapon created by the gods, had a body so marvelous that Liu Yuan wanted to delve deeper into it. It was soft and bouncy in his hand, and effective as a shield to block weapons.
"!!!"
Being treated like this, Jibril was mad. After so many years as a Flugel, she'd been underestimated quite a few times, but this was the first time she'd been so humiliated. She swore that she would absolutely kill the man and woman in front of her once she escaped.
After a few slashes, Jibril was shaken and dazed, and Kisara's emotions calmed down.
"Ehhh? Boss? You're back? I'm very sorry, I got carried away playing the game and mistook you for a monster."
"It's not a big problem! This is my freshly captured..."
"Slave?"
Liu Yuan shook his head, "No, but a debtor. You're the network manager, so she’s an ordinary sales clerk in charge of serving tea and water. She won't be allowed to leave until she earns enough to pay off her debt of a hundred million."
"Pfft! Boss, you hire child laborers?"
Liu Yuan shook his head, "She looks like a young girl but is actually thousands of years old. She only turned into this form because of energy exhaustion. Feel free to make use of her. Until she repays the money, she won’t be able to leave."
"Hiss, then boss, how much is her salary?"
Kisara was curious about this point. How much money was owed wasn't the issue; the problem was the wages. She had a bad premonition.
Liu Yuan looked at Kisara suspiciously, "Wages? What wages? If she eats and plays with me, I still have to deduct her money."
"Hiss..."
Kisara also contributed to global warming. She thought Liu Yuan was ruthless, but she didn't expect him to be this ruthless.
"Where did this little one offend you, boss?"
"She made me lose a hundred million dollars."
"Okay, question spared. Boss, hacking or not?"
Hearing the word hacking, Liu Yuan instantly got energized, "Come, come, come, Red Alert Happy Abuse Computer."
"Today I'm going to rip 08's head off."
"What?"
Liu Yuan couldn’t help but ask, "Are you a headhunter? Staring at people’s heads? And people are just an AI."
"Because of this..."
Kisara opened a video. Any player who challenged these AIs would receive a video clip of the AI after a few minutes. Kisara and Liu Yuan teamed up with a computer to take out two computers easily, or even 2 to 2. She only needed to develop, encountering the enemy with more than enough to stabilize the two have the possibility of winning.
But then, she was a noob addicted player. Alone, she couldn’t beat these computers. Every day she opened the room for two games.
And it turned into...
"Yo? This person’s name is Strongest Demon King, let's meet her."
"Let's play a little bit? I only know a little, just enough to satisfy her."
"It’s been a long time since I’ve fought with Kisara, let’s have a game with Kisara today."
Looking at the opening clip within this video, Liu Yuan vaguely realized that the situation wasn't right, but he still watched on, and then he couldn’t hold back his laughter.
"Let’s pinch her head and sway it from side to side."
"Strangle her head and sway it from side to side."
"Swing from side to side~"
The video created by the AI played with ghostly animals, which made even Kisara unable to contain her anger.
Remembering the way the AI mocked her throughout the videos, Kisara gripped her blade in frustration.
So Kisara swore that she was bound to rip 08’s head off.
As a result, she played so many games. Kisara was improving, but her ways to die were increasing, the video material was growing, and the laughs didn’t stop.
"Hahahahaha! I can’t do it, this AI system is too intelligent. What am I saying, I have to like this video!"
Liu Yuan liked the video on the front foot, and the new video was released on the back foot.
"Thank you to the following fans for charging in to watch more videos. Thank you to ‘pinching Kisara's head and swaying it from side to side’ for the super large power plant, thank you very much!"
"Pfft! Hahahahaha!"
Liu Yuan couldn’t stop laughing, while Kisara expressionlessly looked at the already unconscious Jibril.
The same pink hair, the same gender, younger and juvenile, and her body was also stronger. "Let's make a chicken stew to start off today!"
Kisara's idea didn't materialize after all, as Liu Yuan had already pulled Kisara and Intelligence 08 into a game.
It was just an AI, so naturally, she couldn't rip off its head, but it was still fine to start a game of life and death combat and abuse it two on one.
As for Jibril, who had awakened, she squirmed like a caterpillar towards the door.
"There! Just get there and I can!!!"
Unfortunately, the distance that seemed so close to her was like the distance between the earth and the cosmos.
Chapter 75 - The Hanged Jibril
Amazingly, what seemed like only a few meters from the gate felt like thousands as Jibril struggled to climb.
"Oooooh!!!" The smaller body forced her to let out an animal-like grunt. Exhausted, Jibril unconsciously fell asleep.
At seven in the morning, Liu Yuan and Kisara, who had stayed up all night, rose with satisfaction.
"Hurry up and clean up, we'll be welcoming guests soon."
"Boss~ I'm sleepy. Can I rest for a while?"
Liu Yuan smiled kindly, "Dear Ms. Terrier, of course you can take a nap, but sleeping during work hours must be made up after work."
"..."
Kisara shivered and obediently got up to clean. As she did, she saw Jibril lying next to the doorway like a caterpillar.
"Boss, she's not being honest; she's trying to run away!"
Kisara was thinking about how to make the most of this newcomer's labor, so she could finish her own work and slack off.
"Run away? It's fine, hang her up."
"Boss, that's not good, is it?"
Kisara's mouth said it wasn't good, but her hands sprang into action. She wasn't human; she was a demon! Especially when dealing with angels, demons couldn't be merciful.
"It's fine. Once she enters this internet cafe, she'll never escape. Hanging her is just my revenge."
Liu Yuan openly admitted it was revenge. If he hadn't woken up in the middle of the night to receive information about Schwi, there would be only be 'death' for Schwi right now. He understood the hunting and collecting fetish between different races, but that didn't mean he wouldn't deal with those who targeted his staff and money bags.
These customers were handpicked by the system. Each one had infinite potential, especially a robbery expert like Fujimaru Kaede. Riku and Schwi's people selling things significantly boosted the internet cafe's turnover.
And Jibril? How dare she target his source of wealth?
Mercy was not an option.
"Hang on, I'll freeze her before we open. When the time comes, you change her into a nice outfit, pose her nicely, and make her a good mascot."
Getting Jibril to help with work? She'd be lucky if she didn't sabotage it. No chance she'd serve food without throwing it in guests' faces.
Kisara's smile widened. "Very good, very good!"
Kisara happily hoisted Jibril up, then took out a rag and a water basin and began to clean the internet cafe. The cafe's system could self-clean, and it would even reset each machine to new after use.
Although cleaning wasn't necessary, Liu Yuan's principle was that as the boss and network manager, one should do their job. It was an attitude towards life and a form of practice.
With ten minutes left before opening, Liu Yuan froze Jibril. Kisara then dragged her into a small dark room. Accompanied by a weird smile, Jibril's dressing up was completed.
The white silk and children's clothes gave her a very cute appearance. Just placing her at the door to welcome customers made the internet cafe look like a black shop.
"Boss, this placement doesn't seem too good!"
"I can see it even if you don't say it; it makes us look like a shady establishment."
"Indeed, our internet cafe has always been transparent with our guests. It's a standard bearer."
"Evil angel in front, do not touch."
Kisara's mouth turned up, and her red eyes were full of smugness.
Although Jibril was frozen, she had awakened, and her eyes saw what Liu Yuan and Kisara were doing.
She was enraged, she wanted to kill both of them, but she couldn't move and had to show the smile Kisara forced on her face.
The internet cafe opened its doors. The first to enter was Fujimaru Kaede, who jumped up excitedly with her right hand clenched in a fist.
"Yay!"
Accompanied by Fujimaru Kaede's victory cheer, the second to enter, Subaru Natsuki, lowered his head with disheartenment.
"I lost... but I'll definitely win tomorrow."
"We'll see~"
Fujimaru Kaede hummed happily. Someone had paid for today's internet access. Six hundred yen a day wasn't a lot for her now, but it allowed her to buy two games or eat more luxuriously for the day.
The competition between who arrived first had become a delightful routine among the guests, unintentionally bringing them closer. However, these two had no interest in each other.
Subaru Natsuki's special favorite was Emilia, and Fujimaru Kaede liked any good-looking female Heroic Spirit she could 'lick.' Why female? Well, she only knew the reason.
Fujimaru Kaede hadn't been cocky for long when she saw Jibril, who had frozen to the side.
"Wow, boss, where’d you get such a proper product?"
"Long live Riku's world. She's a hag."
"A Hag!"
Fujimaru Kaede knew so much about these types of people. The other day, she had met a 'Hag' from the Land of Shadows.
They fought to a standstill, and though she was slightly inferior and couldn't block the other's Noble Phantasm, she managed to striker her with a blade, which made her promise to come to Chaldea some days later as a temporary instructor to train Fujimaru Kaede and Fujimaru Ritsuka.
Hearing the name Fujimaru Kaede, Jibril memorized her appearance. She could recognize her even if she turned into a male.
"You're dead."
Jibril had already pronounced a death sentence for Fujimaru Kaede, but the problem was, she couldn't move now, and retaliation was impossible.
After them, their friends arrived one after another. Fujimaru Kaede didn't just bring Jalter; she also brought her friend Ryougi Mana. Mash and Fujimaru Ritsuka weren't brought along due to financial constraints.
Although robbing a Heroic Spirit could yield a lot of money, Chaldea hadn't found the second Singularity or any pseudo-Singularities.
The few Heroic Spirits summoned by Chaldea now had Noble Phantasms, but you can't rob your own family, right?
So, Fujimaru Kaede, lacking money for the time being, decided to wait for the next Singularity, planning to bring Mash and Fujimaru Ritsuka later to form a small team. Encountering Heroic spirits and taking turns executing them by backstabbing seemed wonderful.
As guests arrived, each would ask about Jibril's identity but lose interest upon realizing her age. In most people's perceptions, it's fine to look young but becoming a child is less acceptable.
Even Namikaze Minato and Kushina thought, this little angel lacks love and becomes small to win adults' affection?
Liu Yuan offered no explanations, only stating that Jibril would be an employee of the store from now on.
Chapter 76 - Legend of the Sword and Fairy and Chtholly Nota Seniorious
"Good morning, boss. She..."
Riku, who pushed open the door, saw Jibril's state and froze. Schwi, who followed him, did the same
How could they have expected that Jibril, a superior Flugel race, would be treated like this by Liu Yuan?
"It's fine. She's paying off a debt of 100 million. She can't leave until it's paid off."
Riku calculated the speed at which he and Schwi were making money. At this rate, Jibril wouldn't be free for decades.
However, he forgot one thing: he was free to follow Schwi around the world picking up trash, but Jibril was not. Still, Liu Yuan wasn't a heartless capitalist and wouldn't do anything excessive to Jibril.
Despite the challenges, life with Liu Yuan was as simple and not boring as usual.
Showing Fujimaru Kaede and Natsuki Subaru how to fight the Valkyries, teaching Namikaze Minato some skipping tips, telling Riku not to trust the words of the Allied Commander, and watching Tina treat Resident Evil as if it were another world were all part of the daily routine.
Aside from the main guests, the other guests found their own interests. Those from the Naruto world, for instance, jumped into Elden Ring. Unfortunately, most of them didn't have Namikaze Minato's talent and were overwhelmed by Margit. Take a certain one-eyed copy ninja, for example, who thought he could replicate the moves he saw, only to be outclassed by the enemy.
Riku's group, on the other hand, immersed themselves in the Red Alert world, working hard and hustling so intensely that getting into any university wouldn't be a problem. They weren't geniuses, but they could certainly play a vital role in basic fields.
During the day, Liu Yuan's main task was to solve the guests' doubts and provide them with service. When the guests didn't have any needs, he could choose some interesting games to play.
"What game should I choose?" Liu Yuan pondered. There were too many options in the mall: Diablo? World of Warcraft? An FPS or MOBA game? Good games, but the first one was too complex and the others were too competitive for Riku and Namikaze's groups. The regulars were content with Red Alert for now.
"Let me ask you, if you were to choose a game, what type would you like to play?" Liu Yuan asked.
"Let me choose?" Kisara responded excitedly. "I'd like a game with a beautiful love story, some fighting, hilarity, and a feel-good vibe that warms the heart."
"That's quite a list."
Liu Yuan searched according to Kisara's preferences and found a perfect game. However, it was special: buying it required 40,000 yuan, and all parts from 1 to 7 were unlocked, but the movies and TV episodes also had to be purchased to unlock the complete story.
"System, bundling sales isn't right."
System: "You can choose not to buy the movies and TV dramas, but the system isn't responsible for any missing plot elements."
"Fine. I'll buy it. Should I watch the TV series before playing the game?"
"No need."
"Alright then."
Liu Yuan debated whether to spend 150,000 dollars to buy the game plus the movies and TV series or to expand the internet cafe. Ultimately, he chose to buy the game and the first movie and TV drama to unlock the plot of the first part of the game. The internet cafe expansion could wait; playing the game immediately was more pressing to him.
"Boss, you look so creepy right now," Kisara commented.
"It's not a big deal. I've found your favorite game. Interested?"
"Yes!!!" Kisara's eyes lit up. Games produced by the internet cafe were always top-notch. A poignant love story would be amazing.
Liu Yuan priced the movie and TV drama at 3000 yuan, knowing it would be expensive but worth it. The series offered a divine perspective, allowing viewers to experience the plot perfectly. Unfortunately, only the buyer could fully immerse themselves, while others had to watch on a computer screen.
Liu Yuan completed the purchase of the game and TV series, and then the door of the internet cafe opened. A petite figure wearing a hat adorned with flowers and a gray coat entered. Her ocean-like eyes captivated everyone.
Her name was Chtholly Nota Seniorious, a Fairy Leprechaun.
"Welcome~" Kisara greeted her first. "Hello, this is the 4D Internet Cafe. Here, you can learn, acquire knowledge, combat skills, and even change your destiny!"
Liu Yuan observed Chtholly's face. She showed little emotion but frequently touched her hat, clearly reminiscing about something. She looked very young, like a girl in love.
Liu Yuan smiled and added, "Of course, you can also discover what love is here."
"Love?" The word captured Chtholly's attention.
"Yes. Don't you want to witness true love?"
"I do."
"Then come and start a machine."
Chtholly, took the bait.
Chapter 77 - Tricking Chtholly
"But the price is so expensive..."
Seeing the price of internet access on the screen, Chtholly felt a twinge of pain. The entire Fairy Warehouse's funds would only be enough for her to go online for a day.
In response, Liu Yuan smiled. As long as there was a desire to access the internet, money was not a problem.
"Money is just a means of exchange. Your lifespan, your magic power, everything you have can be exchanged."
"Everything?"
"Yes. How much is my lifespan worth?"
"Lovely young lady, your lifespan is a full 60 years. One day of lifespan is equivalent to 10 dollars. Your lifespan is only used as collateral, and you can redeem it later when you have the money."
Hearing the number of years she had, a smile appeared on Chtholly's face, but then her expression darkened.
"If I say I only have ten days of lifespan left..."
Liu Yuan shook his head. "I don't know how you calculated it, but you still have at least sixty years to live. If you don't have any money, you can use your lifespan as collateral to go online first."
"Sixty years? Can I mortgage the remaining fifty years?"
An ordinary person would never do that, but Chtholly had no choice. She was a Leprechaun Fairy, and her world had monsters called 'beasts.' As an adult Leprechaun Fairy, she had to fight these beasts. Older Leprechaun Fairies often sacrificed themselves to save the floating island, and she was scheduled to fight in ten days. She didn't know if this battle would require her to sacrifice herself, nor if she would have a chance to meet the man who gave her the hat again.
She longed for love, but as a Leprechaun Fairy, she saw very little hope for it in the future.
Liu Yuan's words had sparked her desire. Spending some of her lifespan, which she probably wouldn't use, to experience a beautiful love story was her only wish.
"Of course, there's no problem. I'll ask if you want to redeem your lifespan when you have only one day left."
Liu Yuan smiled broadly. As an internet cafe owner, he had to exploit human nature, enticing her preferences and making her a bit addicted to the cafe so she would spend money every day. Liu Yuan also had a bold idea: to develop Chtholly's big spending habits.
As for the money? He wasn't worried. If she couldn't pay it back, he would take the collateral of her life.
"Would you like to experience a beautiful love through playing games or watching TV series? I recommend 'Legend of the Sword and Fairy I.' The innocent and heartwarming love story of Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er will surely fulfill your needs."
"What's the difference?" Chtholly inquired nervously. The luxurious chairs alone gave her an expensive feeling, making her hesitant to sit down.
"In a game, you play as a character and experience the love story by constantly fighting. In the TV series, you watch their love experience from different characters' perspectives. It all depends on your preference."
"What do you recommend?"
"Personally, I play the game first, then watch the TV series. Knowing the details in the game helps better understanding of the TV series."
Chtholly focused on the colorful icons on the computer. Hearing Liu Yuan's recommendation, she opened the game.
Despite the high price, she purchased it without hesitation. Lifespan was important for the average person, but for Chtholly, it was dispensable.
Leprechaun Fairies didn't live more than twenty years. Sixty? That was unimaginable.
If she wouldn't live that long, she might as well use it.
"How do I use it?" she asked.
"Put on these glasses, and the system will prompt you on how to proceed. Once you enter, don't panic and enjoy yourself."
After teaching Chtholly to use the glasses, Liu Yuan returned to the front desk.
As he did, Kisara whispered, "Boss, do you have a feeling?"
"What?"
"You're more of a demon than I am."
"You said that when Riku came in."
Kisara shook her head. "But I still feel it. Is the new game and TV show really good?"
"Yes, both are excellent," Liu Yuan replied, then asked the system, "The plot hasn't changed, right?"
System: "The system produces fine products. Not a single character's fate is altered. At the same time, the system recommends that the boss buy the 'Small Fish and Flowerless' TV series version. Not a single character's fate is altered."
Liu Yuan couldn't help but comment, "System, is this the 'Jade Emperor's Double Pride' version or the 'Chinese Paladin' version?"
"The host already knows."
The one who should live didn't die? It had to be the 'Chinese Paladin.' This TV series would be popular in the future, but until then, a bit more wholesome love TV series or dramas were needed as a prelude. When the time was right, Liu Yuan could introduce it and secretly sell blades, guaranteed to make a lot of money.
Hearing Liu Yuan's reply, Kisara became excited. The old games were either long-term projects or couldn't be rushed. A new game would be a good change of pace.
"Let's play!"
The plot of "Legend of the Sword and Fairy" wasn't long. According to Liu Yuan, fighting through it and skipping the plot should take about ten hours. Even the real experience version took a similar amount of time.
However, this referred to real-time. Like the Red Alert Realism mode, time in the game was stretched. What felt like days in the game might be just a few minutes in reality. This system allowed players to better experience the plot.
While Liu Yuan and Kisara chatted, Chtholly also started the "Legend of the Sword and Fairy I" TV series. The plot wasn't significantly different from the Game version.
But in all seriousness, Liu Yuan's main interest wasn't experiencing the perspective of Li Xiaoyao but defeating the final boss and talking about science with the Moon Worshipping Sect to stop him from causing chaos.
A water demon beast and Demon Locking Tower, these were obstacles Liu Yuan wanted to eliminate. Although achieving true freedom in a game was challenging, it was enough.
Achieving a happy ending for all was desirable, but for now, business came first. These plans would have to wait until after the store closed.
Meanwhile, Chtholly also opened "Legend of Sword and Fairy I" in the Realism mode. Following the system's explanation, she realized only the Realism version could convey the true essence of love.
"I choose the Realism Mode!"
Chtholly's attitude was resolute. She came here to understand love, and just watching virtual love felt meaningless.
After selecting the difficulty, Chtholly made a series of choices. The system emphasized that dying in the game would result in deletion, with all character memories erased, and everything starting from scratch.
Chtholly didn't mind. Reality was the same wen someone dies, there's no chance to start over. Changing the game made it feel real.
Chapter 78 - Drunken Sword Immortal
Chtholly first gave up Realism Substitution for the protagonist and then chose to fully integrate her physical attributes while exploring the world of "Legend of Sword and Fairy" freely. She focused on the protagonist's experience, participating in the love and hate relationships within the story.
After a series of choices, Chtholly found herself in a forest. The sun shone brightly, and the animals around her frolicked and played. Unlike the endless desert she was used to, the earth here was lush with green trees, mountains, and grass.
Wings appeared on her back, and she flew into the sky, marveling at the beautiful mountains and rivers below. It was at this moment that she realized how beautiful the surface once was.
"So beautiful..."
For Chtholly, this normal landscape was a rare sight. In her world, all life had escaped to floating islands to avoid the Beasts, relying on the Sage's mana to stay aloft.
"Amazing..."
Chtholly discovered that in this game, she could use her magic power at will, with side effects appearing as 'buffs' in her status bar. She had more skills and could even access the weapons she had stored in the goblin warehouse. Among her skills was 'Fairy Gate,' a retained ability from her real-world Fairy Leprechaun attributes.
"Seniorious!"
Seniorious, the legendary holy sword, was renowned for slaying dragons and gods. It was a sword of swords with both history and accomplishments. Chtholly didn't expect to fight alongside her old partner in the game.
As she drew her weapon, a sound of breaking air came from above.
"Who's there?"
"Hahahahaha!"
A man's laughter echoed throughout the valley. A drunken-looking man appeared before Chtholly, his eyes seemingly confused but his movements sharp and agile. He circled her and sighed, "Poor, sad, pitiful." The holy sword in Chtholly's hand appeared in the man's hand.
Seniorious, an oversized sword, floated around him. To Chtholly, Seniorious exuded a different feeling, one of delight.
"Good sword!" The man nudged Chtholly's head.
"This is sword art, girl! The power within you is both good and evil. This sword reveals your deficiencies. This technique will help you channel your inner power, and this Royal Sword Book complements it. Be careful not to be swayed by the power within you. Hold on to your heart, and you will become great."
"Ai ai ai?"
Chtholly looked at the man in confusion. He clenched his right hand into a fist, extended his middle finger, and pointed at the center of her eyebrow. Instantly, Ki and sword technique appeared in her consciousness.
At that moment, Seniorious split into 41 fragments, surrounding Chtholly protectively. She was completely confused; this was the first time she realized her holy sword could split into fragments.
What were these feats? And what were these sword techniques? Were these magic? Did any of this relate to the emotional story she wanted to experience?
Despite her confusion, she thanked him, "Thank you, I..."
"You're welcome, girl. Your talent is excellent, but your three souls and seven spirits are disorganized under the impact of the power within you. I can't help you further."
With that, he vanished.
Looking at the suddenly disappeared Wine Sword Immortal, Chtholly was bewildered. She shouted, "Senior, what's your name?"
"Come with a sword on the wind, remove demons between heaven and earth. With wine I am happy and free, without wine I am upside down. One drink exhausts the river, another drink swallows the sun and moon. I'm the only one who can't get drunk from a thousand cups, I'm the Drunkard Sword Immortal. Where's my wine? Where is my wine?"
"Drunkard Sword Immortal?"
Chtholly memorized the name and ran the power in her body according to the sword art in her mind. Her previously untamable magic power surrounded her body like a docile baby, warming her.
She vaguely felt as if the magic power transformed into a softer power when she used Ki. Her head felt clearer and she was in better shape. It was a strange but real feeling.
She felt Seniorious calling out to her.
"Seniorious?"
"..."
"What? Let me step on you?"
"..."
"Is that really...what it takes?"
Seniorious was a weapon she often used, so stepping on it felt strange. But now it was calling to her, making her feel even stranger.
Seniorious reverted to sword form and flew to Chtholly's feet. A feeling of naturalness came to Chtholly's mind. She withdrew her magic power and used the imperial sword flight through the power generated by her Ki.
Flying this way felt completely different from flying on her own, without any sense of burden, and it brought an inexplicable soothing feeling.
The Imperial Sword Art allowed her to use Ki to control the sword and transform Ki into a sword. The technique's introduction was esoteric, making it a struggle for Chtholly, who wasn't well-versed in basics, to understand.
At the same time, Ki appeared on Chtholly's body within the internet cafe. This Ki drew the attention of those with certain strength within the cafe.
"What are you looking at? These skills are from the new game 'Legend of Sword and Fairy". You can also play if you're interested. Remember, only in real mode can they be learned!"
Liu Yuan clapped his hands, and the aura around Chtholly was suppressed.
"Should I say she's lucky? On her first day, she encountered the Drunkard Sword Immortal and was taught a technique... Unbelievable."
The realism has both established and non-established plots. According to some in-game fortune-telling: "Heaven's destiny is hard to disobey," but the player's presence is a variable outside of this 'heaven's destiny.'
Liu Yuan estimated that Chtholly's spawn location was near the Drunkard Sword Immortal, and her young age may have endeared her to him, allowing her to smoothly comprehend and influence the world.
To get game rewards, one must pass the Realism difficulty mode. In this mode, in-game feats and moves can be learned with talent and luck.
Chtholly had talent. Her body had been a god's many times.
As for luck? Liu Yuan didn't boast, but aside from Zhongli and Nyaruko, encountering such fortuitous events in the game was rare.
Zhongli might be revered, Nyaruko might be locked up by the Shushan sect in the Demon Suppression Tower. Whether she could be subdued...
After glancing at the system description, Nyaruko could indeed be subdued, which was eerie. But as a cub, if her parents appeared, they likely couldn't be subdued.
Chapter 79 - Chtholly and Zhao Ling'er
Chtholly had already forgotten her original purpose for entering the game; all she felt now was joy and freedom. She could fly, but this was the first time she had flown with a sword. Without using any magic, she let the sword her and carry her in flight.
The sword energy surrounded her, breaking through the strong winds without the resistance she had experienced in previous flights. The flight time was greatly improved, though the only drawback was that the sword couldn't be used for combat while she was flying on it. Otherwise, she would have loved to engage in battle while riding the sword.
"What? It's possible?"
Chtholly sensed Seniorious' response. Since it was possible, she would try it in her next fight. As a Leprechaun Fairy, she knew her mission; she didn't want to die but wouldn't hesitate to blow herself up if needed to remove her enemies.
As she flew around, she passed over an island and saw a group of people bullying a couple below.
"Seniorious."
Sensing Chtholly's thoughts, the holy sword turned around and charged straight down. However, the dive angle was too steep, causing the sword to plunge into the ground and Chtholly to roll several times, her head hitting the ground.
Chased by the Moon Worshipping Sect, Li Xiaoyao saw the large sword that suddenly appeared in front of him and instinctively raised it.
"Imperial Sword Art!"
Seniorious resisted but, sensing Chtholly's thoughts, allowed Li Xiaoyao to temporarily use the holy sword. The sword split into 41 fragments, each turning into a small sword that rushed directly at the Moon Worshippers chasing Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er.
The sword Ki entangled their pursuers, absorbing the power from their bodies and knocking them unconscious in a humane manner.
"Hehehehehe?"
Before Li Xiaoyao could get complacent, Seniorious suddenly broke free from his control and flew back to Chtholly's hands.
Zhao Ling'er, seeing Chtholly covered in dust and her face bleeding, ran to her side and immediately cast the 'Guanyin Mantra,' healing Chtholly's wounds.
Chtholly said indifferently, "It's fine, this wound will heal in no time. Are you guys alright?"
"Thanks to senior's rescue, Ling'er and Brother Li are out of danger."
"As long as you're safe. Well, I'll leave now~"
Chtholly felt inexplicably nervous looking at Zhao Ling'er and Li Xiaoyao together. She remembered the man who caught her and gave her a hat that day. Whether she would meet him again was unknown.
If there was a chance...
Chtholly's thoughts drifted away until Zhao Ling'er asked nervously, "Sister, what's your name?"
"Ko, uh, Chtholly."
"Sister Ke~ Thank you so much~"
"You're welcome, but it seems like I can't be your older sister. I'm only fifteen years old..."
Chtholly looked at Zhao Ling'er with some embarrassment. The only conveniences provided by the game system under the real difficulty were the system backpack and basic query functions. She could appraise attributes of those with similar or lower strength but not those significantly stronger.
She saw that Zhao Ling'er was 16 years old. Having someone older than herself call her sister made Chtholly embarrassed.
"Huh?"
"Ah!?"
Zhao Ling'er and Li Xiaoyao were both surprised. Chtholly looked much more mature than Zhao Ling'er. Despite her comical landing, her aura made them subconsciously view her as a supreme expert.
But when Chtholly revealed her age, they couldn't believe it.
A game was a game, and in games like Legend of Sword and Fairy, which favored plot, systematization allowed players to meet the main character's team coincidentally. Whether they could join the protagonist team depended on fate.
Chtholly and Zhao Ling'er's fate was sufficient, recognizing each other as sisters upon meeting. Especially when Zhao Ling'er mentioned Li Xiaoyao's identity and hid behind Chtholly.
They met, married, and Li Xiaoyao Yi lost his memory of Zhao Ling'er. Chtholly remembered her purpose in entering the game and had some vague ideas.
This showed how the game's protagonist was treated, even in real difficulty mode, where plot characters overwhelmingly trusted the 'protagonist.'
Given Chtholly's young age and the aura that made Zhao Ling'er feel very intimate, Zhao Ling'er fell for her instantly.
Just as Chtholly wanted to explain the situation and teach Li Xiaoyao Yi a lesson, Zhao Ling'er stopped her. At the same time, a message appeared:
"There is not enough time to access the internet, please store the content and prepare to disembark."
"Huh?"
Chtholly froze. She felt that not much time had passed, but now she had to get off the plane? She was reluctant but saved the archive under the system's guidance and removed her glasses.
Cordelia sighed with relief when the scenery disappeared from her sight and the monitor showed that the progress had been saved.
In the last five minutes, Rick took off with the humans of his world. Subaru Natsuki and Fujimaru Kaede met up and competed to see who would arrive the earliest. Emilia couldn't help but smile at Natsuki Subaru's childish behavior.
Minato and Zhongli had a PvP battle near the Gate of Raya Academy. Realizing there wasn't enough time, they ended the game and left, laughing.
Ganyu, having just stopped working, saw Zhongli's shield on the screen and thoughtfully looked at Zhongli before quickly leaving.
At eight o'clock sharp, everyone except Chtholly left.
Only Chtholly remained, fuming.
"Hey~ Hey~"
Kisara walked up to Chtholly and waved her hand, "It's time to close~ You should leave."
"Huh? Ah..."
Chtholly was still reminiscing about her in-game experiences. Although she recognized everything was unreal, the Ki inside her body and the holy sword in her system gave her a sense of reality.
"Come back tomorrow if you like. This internet cafe is open every day."
"Okay, and...thanks."
Adjusting her emotions, Cordelia got up and left. As she stepped out of the internet cafe, she found herself outside the Fairy warehouse.
"What am I doing here?"
Chtholly tried to remember why she was there and recalled that a new manager was coming to the Fairy Warehouse tonight and some little ones had run out to cause trouble.
As she walked to the wooden bridge, she saw a few little ones being subdued by a man.
This man, Chtholly recognized, was none other than William. Instantly, Chtholly's heartbeat accelerated.
She didn't expect her small in-game hopes earlier could be realized in reality.
Wait a minute? Was that really a game?
Chapter 80: Chtholly and William
Finding William arriving, Chtholly happily took him to the Fairy warehouse. With everyone's guidance, William finally found his room.
William chatted with the small children. As more and more children gathered, Chtholly leaned against the door frame and said to them, "What are you guys doing? Didn't I tell you not to disturb people?"
"This one is force majeure."
"We're super curious!"
"That..."
The little girl explained, while Chtholly spoke in mock anger, "I told you guys, didn't I?"
The expressions on all the children's faces froze, and they hurriedly ran out of the room, ready to go back to sleep.
"These kids are really..."
Chtholly sighed helplessly. She entered the room and closed the door behind her before looking at William, "Sorry, they were a bit noisy."
At this moment, Chtholly's face was completely red. Her heart was racing, and she didn't know what she was doing. She could have just shooed the kids away, but instead, she ended up coming in herself.
She pretended to look at the ceiling but unconsciously glanced at William. She hadn't expected the new administrator to be him. Seeing his features reminded her of the day they met and watched the sunset together.
She was certain she had fallen in love with him.
Thinking of Zhao Ling'er, who dared not express her love because of Li Xiaoyao's memory loss, Chtholly decided she would express her feelings no matter what.
But... considering this was only their second meeting, was it really appropriate?
While she and William made small talk, her hands nervously clenched behind her back.
It was at this moment that she remembered she hadn't introduced herself to him yet.
"Chtholly, my name is Chtholly. It's a little late, but I didn't introduce myself then."
"William, my name is Willem Kmetsch."
William stood up and formally introduced himself to Chtholly.
"That..."
Chtholly looked into William's eyes, trying to express herself directly. The life of a Leprechaun Fairy was as short as a moth's.
Living until sixty? Chtholly didn't believe it. She felt it was a trick by Liu Yuan to lure her into playing.
Her lifespan depended on her actions. If she couldn't clear out the beasts, she would need to destroy them by blowing herself up to ensure the floating island's safety.
She wanted to express her feelings but ultimately suppressed them.
"I'll leave now if there's nothing else, haha~"
Chtholly decided to leave first. She felt like her head would explode if she stayed any longer. As she pushed the door open, she summoned Seniorious. As she closed the door, William saw the holy sword through the crack.
"It's..."
An image of a red-haired woman flashed before his eyes, the last wielder of this weapon.
"Why, why would this weapon..."
William followed her, but by the time he opened the door, Chtholly had disappeared. Looking around, he found the hallway window open. Walking quietly to the window, he subconsciously looked up to the sky. Half of the holy sword was floating in the sky, with the remaining half in fragments, like stars surrounding her.
Chtholly looked at the moon as if it were a star in the sky. At that moment, William watched her, not wanting to disturb this somewhat lively and somewhat shy girl under the moonlight. As he relaxed his spirit, the sound of stepping on the floor made Chtholly look back.
"Who?"
She blushed a little when she saw it was William.
"It's you. Did you come to see the moon too?"
"Yes...you..."
"Want to come up and sit?"
At Chtholly's invitation, the other half of the holy sword turned into the form of a sword and flew in front of William. Looking at the familiar weapon, William subconsciously touched it.
This state was unheard of. What he could be sure of was that the girl in front of him had exerted the weapon's original power and even exceeded it.
He sat down on the sword, and instead of being as small as he thought, the sword flew to Chtholly's side as if it were a seat holding him up.
Chtholly's face was completely red. She stumbled a little as she explained, "This is called Imperial Sword Art. I just learned it today. I didn't expect it to work so well."
"Imperial Sword Art? What's the name of this weapon?"
"Seniorious."
"Really? What a great name."
Turning his head to look at Chtholly, she appeared as beautiful as a genie, quietly looking at the moon as if she were wishing for something.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Me?"
Chtholly turned her head and smiled, "I was thinking how nice it would be if this moment lasted forever."
William fell silent. He felt out of place compared to this girl. He was ready to leave, but Chtholly caught him.
"It's a bit boring being here alone watching the moon. Can you keep me company?"
"I..."
William couldn't refuse.
"Not saying anything means you agree~"
William didn't make a sound, only his body had no intention of leaving.
They just sat and looked at the sky. After a long time, William started the conversation, "I remember this place is a weapons warehouse. Is that what it governs?"
"Not really. In fact, we are the real weapons of this warehouse."
"What?"
"There's nothing to hide. We adult Leprechaun Fairys will fight as weapons, and when we face an undefeatable enemy..."
Chtholly covered her chest as she felt the energy flowing in her body. Unlike magic, the 'cultivation' brought by Ki made her calm and peaceful while nourishing her body and making it stronger. It could also make her Fairy Gate more powerful, right?
Chtholly couldn't help but smile. She turned her head to look at William. Destroying the Beast was her mission. After so many years of influence, she wasn't afraid to die. She was more afraid of dying a meaningless death and even more afraid of never experiencing true love before she died.
William also turned his head to look at Chtholly. He saw in her eyes a determination not to give up, her blue eyes reflecting all her love for the world.
Weapons? Self-explosion? Impossible, absolutely impossible. Sitting beside him was a living 'person.' She had a mind, hobbies, and was even recognized by this holy sword. She shouldn't be a weapon; she should be 'brave.'
Chtholly looked up at the starry sky once more, "Ling'er told me that every star in the sky is a god, and if you meet a shooting star, you're meeting a god who has landed on the mortal world. Hey~ it's a shooting star!"
As if the sky responded to Chtholly's words, a shooting star cut through the dark night.
"It's a shooting star~ Wish, wish, wish, my wish is..."
Chtholly silently made a wish. Whether the legend was true or not, those around her were already aware of it.
"Weapons... weapons..."
William had difficulty accepting this result. Weapons... as living beings?
Chapter 81: Tricking Jibril to Become a Network Manager
Meanwhile, inside the internet cafe, after everyone had left, Liu Yuan unfroze Jibril. As soon as the freeze was lifted, Jibril transformed into 'Shura' and lunged towards Liu Yuan with her mouth open.
However, Kisara's reaction was quicker, she caught Jibril by the back of her neck mid-air.
"Let go of me, I'm going to kill you all."
Liu Yuan waved his hand indifferently, "Kisara, there's no need to grab her. See this rope? She did threaten us, so hang her for two hours. Let's see how long she can stay defiant."
Jibril was furious! She wasn't afraid of losing a fight or even dying, but Liu Yuan’s approach was infuriating.
Everything she had witnessed today made one thing clear: if Liu Yuan really wanted to get serious, she would definitely lose.
But how did Liu Yuan treat her? By instantly teleporting her away, waiting until she was exhausted to catch her.
Today, she would rather die than submit to Liu Yuan.
So, Jibril was hung from the ceiling again, and to facilitate easy conversation, Kisara even thoughtfully hung her upside down.
Liu Yuan, meanwhile, nonchalantly opened the Chinese Paladin game and introduced it to Kisara. "The Legend of Sword and Fairy—if you want to play, you don't have to follow the plot and can directly go to Shushan to learn."
He introduced the concept of the new game to Kisara while adjusting Jibril’s position so she could better watch them play.
Kisara turned her head, leaning towards Liu Yuan with feigned affection after giving Jibril a mysterious smile. "Boss, can people not..."
"No can do! Also, talk to me normally. If you keep this up, believe it or not, I'll hang you up too?"
"Boss! Can I take some food?"
Liu Yuan turned to look at Kisara. He didn’t need to guess to know what she was thinking. Looking at the airborne Jibril, and then at Kisara, who was starting to act cute and pouty, Liu Yuan smiled broadly. "Of course, it’s okay. Just think of it as an invitation from Jibril. Let’s dig in."
"Shameless!!!" Jibril’s face reddened with anger.
After a day in the internet cafe, she knew the cost of consumption here. Even if she was caught and had to work, the boss and other employees had to be credited for their food and drink consumption. This was intolerable. She couldn’t endure it.
She struggled, wanting to come down. Even if she couldn’t resist Liu Yuan’s tyranny, she wanted to.
Just as she was struggling, Liu Yuan walked over with an iced cola with a large straw. Seeing Kisara, Jibril instantly became compliant. She knew that if she continued to struggle, she would face even more cruel and inhumane treatment.
If she wanted to rebel, she had to wait until Liu Yuan let his guard down, then kill him with her own hands.
Looking at the suddenly compliant Jibril, Liu Yuan took a big gulp of iced cola and then offered it to Jibril. "Want a drink?"
"No!"
"I like your stubbornness. Come on, drink!"
Liu Yuan pulled out a new straw, inserted one end into the coke, and the other end into Jibril's mouth. She tried to struggle, but when the cold, fizzy coke entered her mouth, she calmed down and took a big gulp. It tasted quite good.
Jibril’s thought was simple: since she had become his trophy, she would eat and drink his stock till he bleed poor.
Whether because her body had become smaller or not, Jibril's thoughts seemed more childish.
But it wasn’t a big problem; Liu Yuan liked people like Jibril who were not as tough as they acted.
"It’s good, isn’t it?"
"Uh..."
"Want more?"
"!!!"
Jibril’s eyes sparkled with excitement. Only a Flugel that had drunk cola, especially iced cola, would know how good it was. The moment the cold cola flowed into her body, Jibril felt her life was complete.
Jibril’s heart was conflicted. This was food from the enemy, but it tasted really good.
One more sip, yummy. One more bite, yummy!
One last sip...
Seeing the slightly flushed expression on Jibril’s face, Kisara was puzzled. "Boss, your coke isn’t right..."
"Wrong? What’s wrong?"
"Why don't I and the other customers have that look on their faces when we drink it?"
How can she describe that look? Drugged? Yes, that was the word she could think of.
"..."
Liu Yuan didn’t know what to say. This was an internet cafe, not a black market store.
"Think whatever you want."
"Hiss, boss, you're too scary."
"Scary? Yosh, you haven't eaten this before, have you? It’s called chocolate; it's very sweet. And this, it’s candy."
Liu Yuan was like a strange uncle luring a little girl, constantly offering various desserts. Sugar was a precious commodity in Jibril’s world, and even many Flugel had never tasted it.
Jibril liked these sweet things very much. Despite being hung upside down, she unconsciously forgot all the pain and enjoyed the treats.
She burped contentedly after drinking the cola and eating the candies. At this moment, Liu Yuan spoke, "Jibril, according to the rules of your tribe, the victor is qualified to dispose of the loser at will, right?"
Jibril’s expression froze. Liu Yuan added, "If it was Azrael, she definitely wouldn’t concede defeat, but you, this special individual, should understand that intelligence is also a form of strength."
Liu Yuan pointed to his head. As a special individual, Jibril had once been the weakest Flugel but had slowly become the strongest.
The hardships she endured were known only to her.
"Now, I’ll give you two choices. The first one: become a shopkeeper and work obediently. I’ll let you go after you repay the 100 million dollars. The second: keep resisting, and I’ll let you go, but these photos... they might be seen by people like Azriel or the Elf species you’ve bullied. You don’t want these pictures to be seen, do you?"
If it had been another Flugel, Liu Yuan would have found it more challenging. But with Jibril, a day was enough for her to understand the gap in strength. Pure suppression wouldn’t make her compliant.
So, there was a need for a little temptation and then a bit of threat.
The photos Liu Yuan took out were all embarrassing shots of Jibril when she was small, such as being tied up with a rope, hanging from the ceiling, freezing in front of the door, and being teased about her age. There were also happy expressions of her eating dessert while hanging upside down, all captured.
He even had the heartlessness to release a video of a conversation he had with Kaede this morning.
"Wow, boss, where’d you get such a proper product?"
"Long live Rick's world, she's a hag."
"A hag!"
Fujimaru Kaede’s spitting and contemptuous expressions were put on repeat by Liu Yuan, delivering multiple blows to Jibril’s 'young' mind.
"Don’t show it, don’t show it!!!"
Jibril tried to cover herself, but her hands were tightly bound by the rope.
Liu Yuan whispered seductively, "Come on! Work for a day, and I’ll forgive you ten thousand dollars of debt. You’re a long-lived species; counting rest and daily consumption, you’ll be able to go back in thirty years at most. Thirty years!"
Hearing this, Kisara’s eyes were filled with incredulity.
Ten thousand a day?
What kind of salary level was this?
But seeing the 'goodwill' in Liu Yuan’s eyes, she knew Jibril was finished; she might be stuck here for life.
Jibril agreed. She had no choice. The conditions Liu Yuan offered were too tempting. She simply had no right to refuse. She couldn’t fight, she couldn’t run. Instead of wasting time, it was better to submit for now.
Thirty years was nothing; back then, finding that Dragon Head took longer.
And so, Jibril was put down, adding one more little angel to the house.
As for why Liu Yuan dared to say he would forgive 10,000 of Jibril’s debt in one day, it was because this 100 million debt was rounded up by Liu Yuan from Schwi to get it.
To say it was to pay off the debt was, in fact, to exploit Jibril’s labor for free.
Liu Yuan looked far ahead. Now, two people could manage, but what about later? If Chtholly or Ganyu brought their own people over to play, two people couldn’t handle it.
Many questions within the game needed Kisara and Liu Yuan to answer, especially the final reward selection, which was currently Liu Yuan’s exclusive service.
Now, with fewer people, it was okay, but with more, Liu Yuan felt overwhelmed. Instead of waiting until his scalp went numb, it was better to start cultivating professional service personnel now. A small, cute girl like Jibril, with wings to explain, could definitely be considered a specialty of this store.
At that time, they could just manage the front desk and let the two work.
What? Compassion? It didn’t exist.
As a qualified boss, what you have to do is to squeeze their value!
Chapter 82 - Tina and Resident Evil 6
With the arrival of a new day, the Internet Cafe was once again open for business.
"Welcome~"
"Morning!"
The earliest arrivals today were Tina and Kayu. These two had focused all their energy and financial resources on gaming ever since they had set their development goals. Kayu Senju had also opened up the Resident Evil game, although her progress was a bit slower compared to Tina's.
Tina, the first to arrive, waved her hand at Liu Yuan and Kisara. After a brief greeting, she got into the game.
Yesterday, Tina had successfully cleared all the episodes before Resident Evil 6, including the three movies and Resident Evil Revelations 2 content. However, this section of the plot did not contain outstanding content. Tina was still undergoing various 'kidnapping' experiments. Resident Evil Revelations ended when Claire managed to escape the island, though the series wasn't over for Tina.
Tina had asked why this was the case. According to the system, she had to go to the Middle East 'to catch up to the plot''; otherwise, she wouldn't be able to play Resident Evil VI plot normally.
She opened Resident Evil VI but hesitated when she was ready to start. "Select interface? Can you go multiplayer?"
Tina blinked and waved her hand toward Liu Yuan, who was entertaining guests at the door. "Boss! Here, here."
"What's wrong?"
"Boss, can Resident Evil 6 be teamed up?"
"Yes!" Liu Yuan recalled, "Generation Six is very special, with multi-line content. If you want to get the perfect ending, you need at least two players."
The sixth generation has a total of four storylines. If a single player wants to achieve the perfect ending, they need someone to cooperate. At least one of them has to follow the Chris line to ensure the group won't be destroyed.
The remaining person is free to choose to follow Leon or the duo of Sydney and Jack. Among these, the highest safety factor is the Leon line. Besides the possibility of crashing or being chased by Simmons, following Leon will yield a large amount of bio-hazard virus experimental data. If someone is willing to follow, they can even find experimental data about the Gastrea in Simmons' family grave.
The most difficult one is the Chris line, which involves saving an entire city, an entire squad of members, and finally saving Pierce—these are the achievements with the highest difficulty factor.
The most fun would be the Sydney and Ada Wong line, with quite a few certain-death episodes along the way. If one end dies, the other end has to follow and repeat, and the fun knows no bounds.
"But if you can save those who were originally destined to die, the rewards for completing the level will also be very generous. No spoilers here, but let's just say it's pretty awesome."
"Really?" Tina got excited. If Liu Yuan said the rewards were very generous, it was definitely worth a challenge.
She looked at Kayu Senju. "Kayu! Help me!"
"Hear me, leave it to me."
"Boss~ Which line is Kayu suitable for?"
"Her?" Liu Yuan roughly assessed Kayu Senju's strength and finally proposed, "You can follow Ada Wong. Even Chris had a little contact with his line early on. But remember, in Resident Evil VI, you have to get through with one life. If you go separately and anyone dies, the whole line starts over."
Tina patted her chest. "No problem, Kayu is super strong too."
"Super strong!" Kayu Senju clenched her fists. After injecting the Veronica virus, her infection barely improved. At the same time, the physical bonuses from the two viruses gave her even more terrifying strength. Even Scorpio, who had been turned back into a human, couldn't PvP with Kayu Senju head-on anymore.
"You guys play then, just pay attention. RE 6's overall difficulty isn't that high, I think..."
"Don't worry." Kayu Senju put on the helmet. In realism mode, especially with players who substitute for their own data, they no longer treat this game as a game. After playing for so long, except for Tina's death at the beginning of the game, Tina's actions were always careful. Because she really likes everyone and doesn't want to see them die in front of her.
However, before she started, Tina reminded Kayu Senju, "Ada Wong, you've seen her before. It's the sister in red from that day. Ahem, time flows a bit fast in the game, but you have to call her sister too."
"Okay, if she asks why I showed up?"
"Just tell her you got caught and stick to her like glue. She'll complain a few times, but she'll never kick you out."
Tina had thoroughly figured out Ada Wong's personality—arrogant when she was young and even worse when she had a child. On the surface, she said she didn't want her daughter to become like Leon and wanted to raise her herself. But every day, she told her daughter that her father was a big hero, arrogant to no end. At the end of Resident Evil V, during the free exploration period, she saw the two daughters living in China, living very well. Leon would come over and see his daughter occasionally.
But because Tina has been captured at the beginning of every generation, the protagonists of Resident Evil now uniformly agree on one thing. As long as Tina was present, there were definitely illegal bio-hazard experiments. Bringing Tina on a mission would definitely save a lot of effort.
The only thing that puzzles everyone is why Tina gets captured every time. Tina explained every time that she was sneak-attacked and didn't dare to mess around after being captured, waiting for everyone to save her. After a while, they got used to it.
So Tina and Kayu Senju started the game.
Because of the perfect balance of the virus in her body, any research organization that kidnapped Tina, as long as she didn't resist too much, would treat her well. In addition, Tina's body had the most primitive and best fusion effect version of the original gut biological virus, which also made all experimental institutions need to use Tina's DNA for comparison.
As for the process? Tina didn't feel a thing. It's just that every time she starts the game, it's shown in a transient animation that she's being experimented on again.
Captured by Wesker along with Jill, captured on an isolated island along with Claire, this perfect 'Gastrea' host was kind of a disaster, going wherever the research facilities go for nothing.
But even so, many research organizations had their eyes on Tina.
This time, when Tina began the plot of Resident Evil VI, she found herself kidnapped by 'Ada Wong' to the Middle East to continue experiments.
Listening to the sounds of gunfire and artillery outside, Tina, who was being held in a special vehicle, saw the light.
"Captain! Over here!"
"You're actually here?"
Accompanied by Chris's doubt, Tina's line began to process.
On the other hand, Kayu Senju, who had entered the game, found herself locked up in a strange room. As a player who joined halfway through the game, she was only set up with a generic identity.
"This sound is... the bottom of the ocean, at a depth of about 200 meters. The room is completely blocked off with no ventilation ducts, so it seems impossible to escape."
According to experience, all she had to do now was wait for the plot to begin. But just then, the door to the room was pushed open. The one who walked through the door was Ada Wong, dressed in red.
"You're... Kayu Senju?"
Ada Wong revealed a stunned expression. She remembered this girl from when she rescued Tina in Japan; this girl had shown terrifying power.
"I'm sorry, I was sneak-attacked, and I didn't dare to mess around after I was captured."
She repeated what Tina had said.
At this moment, Ada Wong completely believed Kayu Senju's words because these 'sisters' had the same set of sayings every time they were rescued, unchanged.
The timelines of the Chris line and the Ada line were different, but the two lines didn't intermingle much in the early stages, so it wouldn't be too much of a problem to do them at the same time.
Chapter 83 - Tina and Resident Evil 6 Part 2
"Tina! How did you get caught here?"
"Sneak attack..."
"I see, sneak attacked, then captured, and finally ran here. Hey..."
Chris felt helpless. After so many years, Tina's way of getting captured hadn't changed. He had once checked Tina's information through the BSAA's intelligence organization, and it was all true.
After they teamed up to take out Wesker and saved Claire on the nameless island, Tina said she had to go to the Middle East to investigate some things. Then she disappeared for several months, and today he encountered her again.
Every time Tina had been captured, she had gone to investigate, been captured, and captured too suddenly to send a signal. What made Chris lament was that after all these years, Tina still looked so young.
Yet he clearly felt old.
"Who is she?"
Piers suddenly remembered a rumor when he saw the small child appear. Rumor had it that Chris knew a virus-infected person who was several dozen years old but still maintained a childlike appearance. This virus-infected person was a Gastrea virus post-0 infected person.
Tina's identity was very well protected by Chris. In the game's setting, Tina mainly followed the main storyline, and what could be discarded from the comic book resulted in Tina not having formally met Chris face to face.
This virus in the world also caused a small impact, but during the Raccoon City incident, Chris got the first sample of the virus. This virus must exceed a certain infection rate to mutate. If it did not exceed that rate, a few dollars worth of inhibitors could ensure that the infection rate did not rise, allowing the infected person to live like a normal person.
The inhibitor could completely suppress the infectiousness, making this virus a harmless one.
"Looks like you figured it out, she's Tina."
"Tina!"
Piers perked up; he'd read about Tina. Chris and Jill's partner, survivor of the Raccoon City incident, one of the Wesker Terminators.
A true master who had fought all the BOWs.
The records she set in several battles with BOW were even included in the BSAA to become the object of worship of all snipers.
General snipers can achieve accurate sniping from 500 to 1000 meters, but Tina's record is 3000 meters. In 10 seconds using an XM2010 sniper rifle, she fired 10 shots to kill 13 zombies. Not to mention ten shots in ten seconds, even hitting the target accurately with ten consecutive shots without any time limit would qualify her as a sharpshooter.
"Piers? Nice to meet you. Chris, give me a gun."
"No problem!"
Tina joining the battle was no problem at all. To facilitate saving Tina, both Chris and Leon had given her a temporary identity. Chris had even established a position for Tina within his squad.
The reason was simple: it was possible they would encounter Tina who had been captured and experimented on. After saving her, her power could definitely save the entire team.
Tina took a sniper rifle, the XM2010 sniper rifle.
"The style you use the most, that's fine. And this." Chris took out the hook lock that Ada Wong had kindly provided. This hook lock was carried by Leon and Chris to give to Tina when they encountered her so that she could help with sniping.
"Thanks~"
Seeing Tina's small body handling such a large anti-material weapon, Piers was shocked.
"Captain, she..."
"Just as you thought, but don't worry, she's a trustworthy partner."
"Aye!"
Piers never suspected Tina; he was just a little curious. Plus, having such a 'small child' on the battlefield made him a bit flustered.
Tina showed her absolute control on the battlefield. She took down BOW-equipped aircraft with a single shot and destroyed RPGs flying towards her with pinpoint accuracy. Other people with anti-material weapons had to rack their weapons to unload all the shock force; Tina did not need to. Her small body holding oversized sniper rifles and running around the battlefield was astonishing.
Tina demonstrated inhuman combat strength. With the Gastrea virus infection coupled with the reinforcement of the Perfect Mold Virus in her body, this level of combat was a piece of cake for her.
With Tina assisting, Piers clearly felt that this operation was exceptionally easy. Within the range of vision, the heads of all enemies aiming their guns at their team disappeared.
Piers observed that Tina possessed an absolute effective radius of at least 2500 meters. It was almost impossible for her to miss a shot within this range, and an empty shot only occurred if the target suddenly accelerated or collapsed and got lucky to save their life.
However, a lucky shot only lasted a moment; Tina would immediately make up for it with a second shot.
When the battlefield was heating up from fighting BOW, a familiar voice interrupted Tina's sniping mode.
"Tina-san?"
"????"
This was a game, and she had always been in the same generation as the main characters. So, she was a bit unresponsive to suddenly being called Tina-san.
Turning her head, she was a bit unrecognizable when she suddenly saw a pretty short-haired girl standing in front of her.
"Me! Yukari."
"Ah! Yukari!"
"Tina-san~"
Sherry hugged Tina at once. She still remembered the image of Claire, Leon, and Tina rescuing her back then. Tina's high-altitude gunshot precision sniping at that time was always imprinted in her memory.
"Why did you come here?"
"It's because of a special mission."
During the brief exchange, Tina noticed Jack beside Sherry. At this moment, Jack looked at Tina in disbelief. A young child going to war? And holding an anti-material sniper rifle?
Crazy?
Sensing the questioning gaze, Tina turned around and raised her hand to aim at the mercenaries hiding in the distance.
With a 'bang', Jack saw the mercenary's head in that direction was gone.
This time he couldn't help but shiver; he knew the woman in front of him was definitely ruthless.
The two teams converged, and the next part of the game was much simpler. There were no words along the way, just fighting and killing, tearing down anti-aircraft guns, and taking out large BOWs. After clearing the entire battlefield, Chris proposed to Tina, "It's safe now, Tina, you follow them."
"No!"
Tina shook her head, "You guys need me. What? Think I'm young?"
Young?
Back then, Tina had already fought her way through Raccoon City at the age of 14 and even helped Jill delay the trackers' pursuit. No matter how you looked at it, as a warrior, Tina was qualified.
But...
"I'm worried that you'll be captured, and when that happens, Leon and the others will tear me apart."
"Don't worry! I won't be captured now."
Tina was old and confident. Based on her experience, as long as the game started, she was the main character and didn't have to worry about being caught at all. Seeing that Tina was full of confidence, Chris didn't say much, and the whole squad finished with Tina Ula.
But at this time, the plot changed. Chris knew Ada Wong, and the fake Ada used the fact that Chris knew Ada to get close to the group and bring them into the small room to use the micro-injector launcher.
Chris and Piers stared in disbelief; there was no possibility of hiding in such a small room. However, at that moment, Tina pounced directly on them.
Chapter 84 - Tina and Resident Evil 6
"Tina!!!!"
With a shriek from Chris, Tina's game went black.
"Eh? Did I die?"
Tina realized that the game view had completely disappeared. She could vaguely hear shouts and explosions, but her game progress seemed to be stuck.
"Boss~"
Tina waved her hand. Hearing the call, Liu Yuan walked over and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Boss, I'm stuck."
"Let me take a look."
Liu Yuan glanced at the screen, which was in a black screen state. He could vaguely hear sounds, but the game couldn't be maneuvered. Then he looked at the action on Kayu Senju's side. Kayu Senju was wreaking havoc in the submarine in the guise of 'Veronica.'
Those infected with the C-virus guards were really strong, but Kayu Senju, with two viruses in one, attracted damage in the front while Ada King, with a crossbow, shot from behind. The two worked exceptionally well together.
Judging by the progress of the game, they were about to reach the submarine's detonation scene and head to the torpedo launch silo to escape. It was almost over.
"Don't worry, haha! I'll check the data."
Liu Yuan sat down in Tina's seat, put on his glasses, and started checking the equipment.
Finally, he found the problem.
"Nothing's wrong. You just need to speed up the plot a bit to keep up with Kayu's side of the storyline. But you guys are progressing pretty fast with this one. You should be able to clear it in one day today."
"That's fine~"
Resident Evil VI's separate plot lines weren't that long and could usually be cleared in about four hours of real-time. Given their difficulty, which required a bit of caution, they could finish in eight hours of real time.
Bored anyway, Tina ordered some fries to eat while she waited.
After a few minutes, the screen lit up, and she quickly put on her glasses and re-entered the game world.
"Yo, Tina~"
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Claire coming over with snacks.
"Claire?"
Tina realized that her in-game self was lying on a hospital bed, watching cartoons and eating chips in an old-fashioned manner.
"You!"
Claire sighed helplessly as she took out her gift and shook it, "No~ Your favorite takoyaki."
"Claire, I love you~"
"Hahaha~"
Seeing Tina so energized, Claire felt relieved. At the same time, Tina was receiving the game plot that the system was passing on to her.
Tina, who was not wearing a bulletproof vest, had blocked the needle filled with the C-virus. The infection rate of the Gastrea virus started to soar under the stimulation of the virus, and Tina was going to mutate into a Gastrea.
Fortunately, the Resident Evil protagonists were used to encountering captured Tina all over the world now. They would bring her equipment and inhibitors. Although the mutation was suppressed, the two viruses in her body were fighting for control, causing Tina to fall into a coma.
This coma lasted nearly half a year. Recently, Tina woke up and was recovering. According to the plot setting, Tina was ready to leave the hospital.
Claire explained to Tina about their chance encounter and how Barry recognized a daughter, thus connecting to the Apocalypse 2 plot.
But before Tina could ask, Claire told her an important piece of information.
"Tina, it's said that someone has created a fusion agent based on the virus in your body. After using the fusion agent, you can permanently stabilize the virus infection rate, and it will never mutate in a non-near-death state"
"What?"
"Yes. My brother even told me about the people and asked me to keep an eye on you, not to let you wander around for a while. He's gone ahead already." Claire winked at Tina.
"Claire, you're going too?"
"You guess?"
"I'm not guessing, I want to go anyway."
Tina got up, and Claire patted the box next to her where Tina's usual weaponry was laid out.
"Cool. That said, who else is going?"
Claire thought for a moment, "Leon and the others are going as well. Some of the BSAA's metahumans are going there too. You don't know this, but people have been head over heels for you for years. Now that there's hope, they're definitely going to take it."
They once followed the Raccoon City troopers through the Oceanarium, helped Jill intercept the Tracker, fought the Tyrant with Leon, and hid from William with Claire. They had been to the island, flown the skies, fought zombies together, and initiated change together.
Even the establishment of the BSAA has Tina's share of credit. The virus in her body was too difficult to research, and the effective inhibitor was the result of this decade. Now, once they heard there was a chance to cure Tina in Lanxiang City, people were personally ready to break into the city.
Because Leon asked for a long vacation, the current President of the United States temporarily gave up the idea of publicizing the incident in Raccoon City. Without this idea, Simmons did not launch a terrorist attack.
Coincidentally, Simmons happened to be in Lanxiang City to find traces of 'Carla'. He also ran to Lanxiang City. Who knows what will happen in Lanxiang City.
At this time, Tina also watched the game CG. The plot showed her and Claire on an exclusive plane, flying to Lanxiang City. Due to the use of the C-virus, part of the area had biochemical terrorist attacks.
Although Chris wanted Tina to find the fusion agent, the priority now was to clear these virus-infected zombies.
On the other hand, in a laboratory in Lanxiang City, Sherry and Jack, who had been captured for half a year for experiments, took advantage of lax defense to fight their way out of the experimental institution.
When they reached a computer room, Sherry found a copy of her and Jack's six-month experimental data. Casually, she used the surrounding floppy disks to copy these over. Just as she was preparing to leave, she found a special data record.
"Experimental subject: Tina Sprout. The Gastrea virus in her body possesses extremely strong aggressiveness. By incorporating the C-virus to fuse with the Gastrea virus, a wonderful stabilizing effect was achieved. It's only a pity there is no optimal experimental material to conduct the experiment."
This report had already gone through many human experiments. The result was that people infected with the Gastrea virus could completely stop the infection rate through the special C-virus. It could even reduce the infection rate of those with over thirty percent to about ten percent.
The person would retain the super-high healing ability of both viruses and maintain their sanity. Additionally, there was information on neutralizing and destructive agents. Time was tight, so Sherry did not have time to read everything and copied it all.
At the same time, according to the coexistence of the Gastrea virus and the C-virus, they created a horrible monster to destroy the world. Whether for the protection of the world or for Tina's sake, Sherry had to copy this data.
"Surprisingly, it's about Tina's sister. Jack, help me stall for a while."
"What?"
"Please~"
"Damn it!"
Jack slammed the wall hard, took out his weapon, and rushed straight out. There were quite a few soldiers injected with the C-virus outside. These soldiers were strong, but they were just tough for Jack because he was Wesker's son and a standard second generation of the virus.
Chapter 85 - Tina and Resident Evil 6 (Lower)
Lanxiang City at this time had all generations of protagonists gathered because of Tina. Tina's appearance was the butterfly in the butterfly effect. In the original plot, they gathered in Lanxiang City due to Simmons' evil plan. This time, it was to find the treatment program the fake Ada had come up with.
First, on Sherry's side, she coincidentally managed to copy all the virus-related content. She wasn't sure if this treatment would be as effective as described, but it appeared to offer Tina a life without fear.
She still remembered the conversation Claire and Tina had when they saved her.
"I, ah, contract this virus that increases the infection rate with my age and the number of times I use my abilities. Over fifty percent, I become a monster and die."
No matter what, Sherry wouldn't let Tina die because Tina had saved her. This extra copy caused her and Jack to be chased by tanks, motorcycles, and finally helicopters. Among all the teams, this combination was the quickest.
While Sherry's side was being chased all over the world, Ada Wong and Kayu Senju arrived in Lanxiang City.
"Heh, the other me."
"Sister Ada, what do we do next?"
Kayu Senju had been studying the plot, but the problem came. Since Tina fought the plot of this series, she had no idea what Tina had done before to cause any effects. She was totally caught up in helping Tina achieve the perfect ending.
"Do what? Find the woman and help the idiot along the way."
A voice sounded from the exclusive radio in Ada Wong's hand, a frequency reserved for Chris, Leon, Claire, and others. There were absolutely no outsiders except for a few of them, and the channel never communicated, only reporting when Tina or information related to Tina was found.
"Tina and I are here."
Claire's voice over the radio brought an involuntary smile to Ada Wong's lips, "It's really like that idiot said, she's definitely coming. Alright little monster, your sister is here, let's step it up."
"Good." On the other hand, on Chris' side, although he was also trying to help Tina find the fusion agent, his main task was to eliminate the bio-hazard terrorist attack caused by the gangs here. Besides this task, he had one more thing to do.
"Locking on Ada Wong's location, at the third intersection in the east direction, coordinates..."
Hearing the satellite intelligence within the intercom, Chris had a rare serious expression on his face.
Now that the bio-hazard threat was basically cleared, BSAA was also cleaning up the battlefield in preparation for retreat. As an anti-bio-hazard organization, they would only deal with bio-hazard monsters, but this time Chris was in no hurry to go back.
"Piers, you take the brothers back. I'm going to take care of some personal matters. Count me as capricious for once."
"Captain..."
Piers looked into Chris' eyes, which were flat but tinged with hatred. He vaguely remembered that day when, if it wasn't for Tina's quick reaction to block the needle, he, along with Chris, Finn, and even the rest of the entire squad wouldn't be alive today.
They remembered this favor, and Ada Wong's revenge had to be avenged. Although they knew this Ada Wong was a fake, they used Ada Wong's name because they didn't know her real name.
"Okay, let's go."
At this time, Liu Yuan noticed that Tina's side of the plot had reached a critical point, so he reminded Tina, "Tell Chris that everyone in the march should wear a good bulletproof vest, avoid looking outside the window upon hearing a sound, prohibit anyone from acting alone, and never detach from the team for a single second."
"Okay!"
Tina didn't know why Liu Yuan said this, but Liu Yuan was the owner of the internet cafe, proficient in all games. Just mentioning a word related to the game could drastically improve the game's progress.
The exclusive channel belonging to Tina.
"Attention Chris~ This is Tina. If you are operating in Lanxiang City, please observe the following principles."
Tina repeated what Liu Yuan had said.
When he was playing Resident Evil VI with Kisara, Liu Yuan had avoided the Lanxiang City squad's reunion through this method.
How?
Fake Ada, also known as Carla, played around with traps and tricks.
Attracting people to look out the window for a sneak attack, throwing needles for a sneak attack, and sending in monsters that can become invisible for a sneak attack. One of the hardest to defend against was throwing out needle bombs, but Chris already had a strategy to deal with it.
Now Chris's squad was equipped with two big shield carriers with retractable shields. At distances over five meters, they expanded the shield to deal with sneak attacks. From half a year ago, this kind of defense project became a BSAA monthly mandatory test project. They couldn't avoid the test because it was crucial for survival.
What about within five meters? They pounced to pressurize. This kind of needle couldn't penetrate body armor, so there was no worry. Even if it penetrated, at most one person would die, not the entire team.
The members of Chris' team were all elites and naturally learned this defense system. Inside the building, the BSAA members surrounded a group, with each holding a telescopic shield, and two experienced members used under-barrel grenades for aiming.
These two were extensively trained and wouldn't use the under-barrel grenade unless they were sure of a 100% hit.
This team, like a hedgehog, started to catch the fake Ada worldwide based on the intelligence.
Leon's side was a bit more difficult. Since he took a long vacation a while ago, the president didn't announce anything. Simmons, thinking the president was still on his side, didn't engage in a bio-hazard attack and didn't kidnap Helena's sister.
Due to Tina's influence, Leon and Ada Wong had been secretly together. The girl didn't dare to act wildly, so he came here alone.
Coincidentally, the plane he was on crashed. After using his superior airplane maneuvering skills to make the plane land safely, he rented a car and drove to Lanxiang City. On the way, he encountered a gang attack, which made him stop his journey to find the fusion agent for a while to protect the city instead.
The crowd trusted Leon when it came to facing bio-hazard attacks. Leon's name was known to everyone, an expert in the field of biochemistry like Chris.
Due to his rich experience, combined with the mobilization of the scene and the cooperation of the local soldiers' heavy firepower, the bio-hazard attack was quickly suppressed. Leon now acted as a temporary commander, guiding the local soldiers to intercept the bio-hazard virus.
When he heard Tina's voice on the exclusive channel, he couldn't help but say, "You've all started moving, and I'm stuck."
Ada Wong: "Then our great hero will stay behind for now. Leave Tina's business to us."
"..."
Leon could hear that this was Ada being jealous. Of course, he knew that this jealousy was just flirting. Everyone treated Tina as a little sister, so there was no real jealousy involved.
Chapter 86 - Tina and Resident Evil 6
On Tina's side, being affected by the system amplified her already unlucky streak to its peak. No sooner had she set foot in Lanxiang City with Claire than she was apprehended by the fake Ada and her cronies.
"Tina Sprout? I didn't expect to see you here," Carla remarked, recognizing Tina as an old acquaintance of Ada Wong. Without further explanation, Carla had her men arrest Tina. Claire, ready to resist, was swiftly knocked unconscious and captured as well.
Tina sighed helplessly as she watched the cutscene unfold.
At this point, Kayu Senju was still with Ada Wong, helping Sherry and Jack escape. After ensuring the two met up with Leon, she helped Chris snipe the fake Ada twice and managed to grab a handbag from her. The handbag contained three viruses, of which one was gone, and the remaining two were seized by Ada Wong. Although Tina sympathized with the fake Ada's plight, the real Ada pulled the trigger, eliminating 'Carla,' the mastermind. Kayu Senju then broke down the fake Ada’s body using the Veronica Virus, ensuring it would never threaten the world again.
After solving this problem, Ada Wong arrived at the control room. She paused the missile launch program targeting Lanxiang City and ordered the ship to stop resisting, then headed to meet Leon.
Leon, meanwhile, had encountered a significant problem. Ada Wong's obsessive suitor, Simmons, had injected himself with a virus and, learning about Ada Wong's true nature, transformed into a 'dinosaur' to pursue Leon relentlessly.
"Miss Kayu, want to join?" asked Leon.
"Sure~" Kayu Senju eagerly agreed.
Leon soon discovered that Claire and Tina had been captured, passing this information to Chris, who had just finished eliminating the bandits on the ship. With only one airplane available, Chris and Piers headed to the fake Ada's secret base.
After watching the cutscene, Tina could finally move, albeit with her hands and feet still tied. "Claire~ Claire~" she called out. Claire awoke and, after struggling a bit, found she couldn't move. "Unlucky, we got captured again," she sighed to Tina.
"Hahaha! Just like on that island, but this time we weren't injected with any crazy viruses," Tina replied. She noticed a computer displaying, "Experiment completed, theoretical data correct."
Though she couldn't fully understand it, her intuition told her this might be good news.
While tied to a pillar, Claire found a comfortable position and said with a smile, "I remember finding you tied to a pillar last time, injected with some fear virus. What happened to that virus?"
"It got neutralized, lowering the infection rate a bit," Tina explained.
"Tina, what's your infection rate now?"
"Forty-five percent. It's dangerous but manageable," Tina reassured, noting the in-game data showed a dangerous level due to multiple experiments. However, her real self maintained a delicate balance between the viruses in her body.
As they chatted, the devices binding them released. "Tina! Claire?" Chris's voice echoed in the room.
"Brother?"
"Stay put, Piers and I are coming down!"
"Okay!"
Claire looked at Tina, "Looks like we're saved"
"But I have a bad feeling about this."
"Tina, stop it, please, I'm begging you," Claire pleaded, fearing another encounter with a new virus.
"It's okay! Chris is on our side," Tina reassured.
"He'll be happy to hear you say that," Claire quipped.
They armed themselves with the weapons conveniently placed nearby. Tina couldn't help but find it odd that the captors left their weapons within reach. They followed Chris and Piers to escape but soon encountered a huge cocoon.
"What is this?" Chris asked, seeing the computer introductions about Chaos Zombies. The cocoon was a proto-gut creature, a fusion of the Gastrea virus and the C-Virus.
"This is..." Tina’s whole body went cold. The cocoon was a Stage 5 Gastrea, a formidable monster nearly impossible to defeat without special weapons.
"No!" Piers received crucial information from Leon, who had met up with Sherry and Jack. Leon shared the details of a fusion agent, which Chris showed to Tina.
"When creating this Chaos Walker, the researchers retained some humanity, developing a fusion agent, a neutralizing agent, and a destructive agent. Tina, can you see if these will work?" Chris asked.
The fusion agent balanced the two viruses in the body. The neutralizing agent transformed infected tissues into normal cells, neutralizing both viruses and ensuring safety. The destructive agent destroyed the regenerative properties of the viruses, turning them into harmless substances.
Tina's goal in playing the game was within reach, but the cocoon began to shake ominously, ready to hatch into a monstrous stage-five Gastrea.
Liu Yuan and Kisara, watching Tina, were fascinated by her progress. "Tina hasn’t reload a save until now, right?" Kisara asked.
"Yes, except for the initial first, she hasn't restarted. If she passes this level, the reward will be unimaginable," Liu Yuan replied.
"What's the reward?" Kisara asked excitedly.
"You'll find out later. Although Resident Evil goes up to eight, passing six completes a stage. She might be the first in our internet cafe to achieve a true no-deaths, no-save completion of the Realism Difficulty."
Chapter 87 - End of the Bio-Hazard Crisis
"Whew..." Tina took a deep breath, feeling her tension ease as she boarded the escape pod with Claire, Chris, and Piers. The final showdown had been nothing short of thrilling.
Claire managed to find three different types of potions, and after injecting the destructive agent into the Chios, Piers and Chris located some heavy weapons. Since the Chios was not fully developed, the four of them managed to exterminate the last zombie and escape in the pod. The final gameplay footage showed the hatch opening and a helicopter outside searching for them.
"It's over, it's over... next should be 7 and 8, right?" Tina leaned back in her chair with some fatigue. She had been playing the game intensively since she entered the internet cafe. There was quite a bit of plot in RE 6, but in realism mode, multiple storylines developed simultaneously, making the experience feel faster.
It's not a big problem though! After clearing the game, Tina was most excited about picking her reward. However, she froze when she entered the reward selection page.
"Boss..." Before she had a chance to wave her hand, Liu Yuan, who had been standing behind her and watching, said directly, "You have the Gastrea Virus Potion Package for this reward. This is the one you need. For the rest, pick the unlimited ammo version of Ada Wong's Love Bazooka!"
"Hey hey hey? Unlimited ammo?"
"I don't know! It's an old Resident Evil tradition—unlimited ammo. Choose it. The rest is random. And remember to collect the hidden rewards."
"Hidden rewards?" Tina perked up.
Liu Yuan explained, "The Resident Evil series is special. If you pass through 1 to 6, including other episodes, after the final chapter, it counts as a perfect pass. The Ethan line is separate."
Tina listened to Liu Yuan's explanation while choosing the game rewards. As Liu Yuan said, she needed to get the potion against the Gastrea virus. She looked at the effects: the Fusion Agent maintained the Cursed Child's characteristics and gave it enough power. The destructive agent could completely destroy the Gastrea Virus, reducing the infection rate to less than one percent, ensuring it wouldn't recur naturally.
However, if the infection rate was over ten percent, it would have irreversible effects.
The Neutralizer Inhibitor could reduce the Gastrea Virus's activity by more than ten percent, keeping it in human form and reducing the infection rate by about ten percent, though the power of the Cursed Child would be halved.
The cost of making it was very low. Tina estimated that with a mature production line, a potion could cost less than a hundred dollars. As long as she didn't harm or overuse her powers, the infection rate wouldn't change for ten years. Even if it increased, it could be lowered with a neutralizing agent.
The three potions could be used in conjunction, fitting Tina's needs perfectly. "Phew, I can relax now."
Next, Tina chose a Rocket Launcher with Unlimited Ammo, an Anti-Material Sniper Rifle with Unlimited Ammo, and the Perfect C Virus. In past games, whenever there was a Perfect Virus to choose from, Tina would always pick it. The effect was too good; any Cursed Child injected with the virus could balance the viruses in their body and greatly increase their combat power.
"I'll use it when I get back. It just so happens that there's been a bit of chaos lately..."
The Tokyo area where Tina was located was about to be attacked by Gastrea, and there was a lot of mess to deal with. After receiving the pass reward, Tina also saw the final hidden reward.
"Whether or not to synchronize the Resident Evil world with the player's time scale. When the player leaves the game, the game's time flow will be reduced."
The moment she saw this, Tina stood up excitedly.
"Calm down~" Liu Yuan pressed her shoulder and said, "Hidden Achievement: from the first chapter to the end, you can get this reward without dying once. But remember, as for Ethan's plotline, with your current power, you can already stop it outright, can't you?"
"Boss! Thank you!!!"
"You're thanking the wrong person. This is the result of your own efforts. Enjoy the 'game' world that belongs to you."
Liu Yuan left.
'Realism mode', 'Reality'.
If it can't be a real world, then what is real?
Opening the realism mode's clearance difficulty is very high, not to mention passing all the content in a row. But after passing, this world can be treated as another world that belongs to you, allowing you to experience another life's adventures.
This also allows the player the benefit of going to the final ending with those who have fought together. Of course, if you can't accept aging and the final end, you can choose not to enter the game. The flow of time within the game would be very slow, with only a few days passing within a few years in reality.
Tina was very happy, a state that lasted until she got home when Kayu Senju poured cold water on her. "Tina, don't forget the situation outside."
In an instant, Tina calmed down. The situation outside was dire, with legions of Stage Five Gastrea gathered on the outskirts of Tokyo. The entire Tokyo region was plunged into chaos due to the Gastrea besieging the city.
"Indeed, Kayu, how is the progress on your side?"
"We have successfully contacted eighty percent of the peripheral Cursed Sons in the entire region. It's just that everyone's mental age is too young..."
The average age of the Cursed Sons was around ten. The peripheral ones, being abandoned, had slightly higher mental ages, but only marginally. Many couldn't even read; those who could were in the minority.
"We need the assistance of Seitenshi. But before that, Kayu, find a way to move the periphery. I'll find a way to contact Miss Seitenshi. She's the administrator of the Tokyo region and has the intention and capability to enact the 'Cursed Child Act.' We need to help her. This time, we might even need to put on a good show."
"Yes!"
Tina had a city map in front of her, labeled with most of the outlying Cursed Sons she could find. With the invasion of Gastrea imminent, these companions might be treated inhumanely. Living through the world of Resident Evil could be more than just fighting zombies. She hypothesized the end of the world as an example of how the Cursed Chidren should gain human rights.
A rash resistance would make Tokyo, or even the entire Japanese region, a target for the cursed children, reducing their chances of turning the tide. There were three major tasks she needed to do now:
1. Guide public opinion to gradually reverse the negative impression of the Cursed Children on the Internet, emphasizing that they are also human beings and not contagious after using inhibitors. Change the public perception through speeches. Engage those with normal cognition, such as in the civilian police and initiator organizations. About half of the civilian police treat the initiators as family members, especially orphaned civilian police, who can be brought into the cause.
2. Lead by example, providing the Cursed Children with significant developmental direction. Education must be prioritized. After experiencing the Bio-Hazard crisis, she understood the importance of literacy. Much machinery requires intelligent operation, and without literacy, even basic operations are impossible.
3. Unite leaders like the Seitenshi who are interested in changing the situation of the Cursed Children. Enact laws from the top down to change their situation.
All three tasks should be pursued simultaneously to completely change the Cursed Children' situation. The first two were already underway; now, she needed to contact Seitenshi. However, the potions and formulas in her possession could never be exposed, especially the destructive agent. At the very least, it shouldn't be handed over before the Cursed Children's treatment is advanced.
After all, this was considered a period of stability. The number of people dying daily due to Gastrea was likely fewer than those dying in traffic accidents. At this point, it was not suitable to reveal the destructive agent.
But the fusion agents and neutralizers...
Chapter 88 - Tina Wants to Change the Cursed Child's Existence
Tina managed to make her way to Seitenshi's room. At this moment, Seitenshi wasn't sleeping, and she was protected by her exclusive security guards outside the room.
Seitenshi looked at the time—it was already late at night, time to rest. Just as she was about to lie down, she heard the sound of a window opening. Before she could say anything, Tina spoke first.
"Tina Sprout."
"You are?"
Of course, Seitenshi knew who Tina was; her wanted poster had never been taken down. According to the notice, Tina was guilty of killing civilians and destroying public facilities, among other charges. However, during her review of Tina's documents, Seitenshi found many inconsistencies. Because of this, when Tina said her name, Seitenshi calmed down instead.
"Please... help the Cursed Children."
"Tina..."
Seitenshi looked at Tina, who bowed her head, and her heart was filled with mixed emotions. She wanted to improve the treatment of the Cursed Children. After all, they were just children infected with a virus and had done nothing wrong.
To put it into perspective, the number of deaths caused by Cursed Children was fewer each year than those who died by foolishly running outside the city walls. All the deaths caused by the Cursed Children occurred when someone infected with the Gastrea mutated on the spot and killed everyone around them.
"I'll help you guys, but Tina, can I meet the person behind you?"
As the leader of the Tokyo region, Seitenshi had been keeping an eye on the region's information. She noticed that the number of Cursed Children around had been dwindling, and positive remarks about them were appearing online. This made her realize that someone might be behind this change.
She suspected that Tina had an organization backing her, as the positive remarks seemed unusually coordinated.
At this moment, Tina hesitated. Was there an organization behind her? Not really. The ideas came from her interactions in a game forum where she simulated a world order collapse scenario involving virus-infected children. Over ten years, this forum gained a niche following, and people there contributed countless solutions. Tina picked and implemented three of those solutions.
So, there wasn't a single person behind it, but the collective effort of many online contributors. However, Seitenshi seemed to expect a more tangible organization.
Tina hesitated for a long time and nodded, "Yes, I'll go ask."
On the front foot, she said she would ask, and on the back foot, she contacted Liu Yuan through TT. At that time, Liu Yuan had already unlocked his door and was preparing for sleep. He saw Tina's message and sighed. If he went to Tina's world again, it would be his third trip, costing him tens of thousands of dollars.
But considering the situation in Tina's world, he could only sigh helplessly, "An investment is an investment. Besides, Tina is involved. As long as they don't give me money, I won't go!"
Liu Yuan put on his clothes and went downstairs. He saw Kisara and Jibril playing Red Alert.
"You guys play. I'm going out."
"Good~"
As Liu Yuan left, he threw two bottles of ice coke to them and reminded Jibril, "Yours counts towards your outstanding account."
"Good~"
Arriving in the Black Bullet world, Liu Yuan didn't immediately go to Tina's place but strolled around first. He looked at the army of Gastrea outside and compared their range to his divine sword. Feeling reassured, he arrived at Tina's location. She was standing in a hall with Seitenshi, Tendo Kikonojo, and the guards.
Apart from Seitenshi, the rest of the people had hostile looks towards Tina. Liu Yuan observed Tendo; he was a standard politician, hard to read. But Takuto Yasuwaki, the captain of the guards, had clear intentions to kill Tina.
Seitenshi was too young and relied heavily on Tendo. When Liu Yuan appeared, everyone tensed up, recognizing him as the one who had caused chaos in Tokyo.
"Your Excellency, that day you..."
Seitenshi spoke first. They had investigated the people Liu Yuan killed; they were worse than human scum.
"That day? It wasn't good. But you're looking for me about the Cursed Child, right? How about this: let's make a bet."
"What bet?"
"Your monolith will collapse in eight days at most. I bet that within seven days, the Cursed Children can resolve this crisis on their own, proving they are useful and not a threat. If we win, you, Seitenshi, will need to personally order that the Cursed Children be granted basic human rights."
"What about failure?"
Liu Yuan spread his hands, "Failure means we all die."
He saw that Seitenshi was pushing for human rights for the Cursed Children but faced significant obstacles. If it were him, he'd have dealt with enemies directly. But Tina, as a Cursed Child with low status, could only rely on him as her backing.
Fail? Impossible. Liu Yuan knew Tina's capabilities, including her nearly invincible unlimited bullets Ada Wong's love bazooka.
Chapter 89: Might of the Elden Lord in Black Bullet
Liu Yuan's role was a deterrent, signaling to outsiders that Tina had powerful backing. However, aside from his initial rampage, Liu Yuan spent most of his time observing and staying out of direct involvement.
Tina's handling of situations was still somewhat inexperienced, but her thinking was clear. She knew to seize righteousness and align herself with the leader of the Tokyo region.
As for the old political foggies? They were on their way out, and their heirs lacked outstanding abilities. If Tina maintained a good relationship with Seitenshi, this proto-gut creature invasion could mark the beginning of improved status for the Cursed Children.
"Oh, it's about to start," Liu Yuan noted as he watched them command the army. The Monolith they were defending was targeted because it was poorly constructed. Humans might not notice, but Gastreas could sense which monuments were weak.
However, Liu Yuan's attention shifted to Tina and her group, already in action in the forest. Tina, Kayu Senju, and Scorpio (who had successfully become human) were formidable. Especially Tina, who, after synchronizing the Resident Evil world with reality, had enhanced her physical abilities by absorbing various viruses.
Tina's body now had the recovery power of a Stage 5 Gastrea, making her almost a humanoid monster. She instructed, "Kayu, Scorpio, cover me. We'll push through flat out."
Tina wielded an unlimited ammo Ada Wong Love Rocket Launcher. This bazooka, given to her by Ada Wong after Tina helped ease her relationship with Leon, featured a heart drawn by Ada.
"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" Tina fired rockets every two seconds, obliterating fourth-order or lower Gastreas. Kayu Senju watched in awe, noting how the bazooka, despite its size, could take down high-level enemies.
Kayu Senju also noticed the power of the 'vines' she controlled, absorbing the energy of fallen Gastreas. The Veronica Virus in her body converted this energy into power and more vines. Many Gastreas began to submit to her, addressing her as 'Queen.'
"Tina, why do I feel like they're calling me Queen?" Kayu asked while fighting.
"It might be the influence of the Veronica Virus," Tina replied, shooting as she spoke. "The virus includes DNA sequences from ancient queen ants. Combined with the Gastrea in your body, they might see you as a leader."
This made sense to Kayu, explaining why she could control them. Tina's extensive knowledge of Resident Evil's bio-hazard had been a huge advantage, preparing her to deal with these monsters effectively.
"Forget it~ Eat me!" Tina yelled, charging into battle. The trio fought relentlessly, using rockets and vines to take down waves of enemies.
Meanwhile, Liu Yuan watched the situation in the hall with amusement. Various people were trying to flatter Seitenshi or veto the Cursed Children Human Rights Act. Tendo Kikunojo, though not supporting the bill, didn't outright reject it either, showing his old wisdom in paving the way for his heir.
Seizing power would be difficult in this post-apocalyptic environment where faith was important. The Tokyo region had food, drink, and a functioning socio-economic system, and Seitenshi had high popular support.
But, Liu Yuan noticed, Takuto Yasuwaki had slipped out under the pretense of an inspection. Liu Yuan called out to Tendo Kikonojo, "Old man, I don’t comment on politics, and your transfer of hatred has nothing to do with me. But tell me, if someone destroys the supplies of frontline combatants during a war, what should be the offense?"
"What?" Tendo looked confused and angry.
Liu Yuan laughed. "Look at the Gastreas attacking, and someone is destroying frontline soldiers' logistics. Not stealing, but destroying, throwing resources into the sea. Believe it or not, the person missing from this room is doing just that. I’d love to see Tokyo collapse because of some fool's actions."
This absurd situation made Liu Yuan feel his trip was worth it, enjoying the farce of discrimination against the Cursed Children mixed with personal vendettas damaging strategic resources.
Chapter 90 - Immortal Sword General's Tomb, Getting Lost Online
Although Liu Yuan's words were directed at Tendo Kikonojo, everyone knew who he was talking about. The truth of his statements was hardly in doubt.
From the moment Liu Yuan arrived, various researchers analyzed his body language, intonations, and expressions. Their analysis, though bizarre, indicated that he displayed a wide range of personalities. However, they unanimously agreed that Liu Yuan was not the type to lie, especially not in such situations.
His past actions, such as single-handedly dealing with numerous thugs without harming civilians or police, demonstrated his strong sense of justice and morality.
"Your Excellency, are you telling the truth?" Seitenshi asked, her tone tinged with nervousness for the frontline police and soldiers.
"Wouldn't it be easier to find out by checking? These kinds of people, who commit acts that could destroy a clan for power, are easy to spot. Be cautious when choosing your subordinates. They can be as sinister and cunning as your auxiliary officer, but you must distinguish between the lesser and the greater evils."
Liu Yuan made his point clear: his actions were driven by his own sense of right and wrong. He wouldn’t interfere with the world's development or virtues. Tina, with her ideals and ambitions, would have to realize them on her own. Liu Yuan's role was to provide occasional support, ensuring outsiders knew she had powerful backing.
True to his words, within ten minutes, the culprit, Takuto Yasuwaki was arrested. Supplies were recovered, and without excessive explanations, the offender was executed on the spot. Logistics personnel confirmed that the supplies, despite being soaked, were still usable.
Afterward, Seitenshi and Tendo Kikonojo received reports from their men simultaneously. Liu Yuan noted, "Not bad, you're learning to cultivate your own men. You're not just a pretty face; there's promise in following this path."
Seitenshi's main drawback was her youth and tendency to get emotional. However, as long as Tina seized her opportunities, she could use Seitenshi as a springboard for her own ambitions.
Soon, news arrived that Tina had led her team to eliminate several powerful Gastreas. With this, Liu Yuan prepared to leave.
"Please keep your promises. I'll leave first," Liu Yuan said before disappearing in a flash.
As he vanished, a line of blood appeared on the necks of Tendo Kikonojo, Seitenshi, and a few surrounding guards. The Imperial Sword Art had left a mark on everyone's fatal points, it was a signal that Liu Yuan would be merciless if promises weren't kept.
Seitenshi smiled, realizing Liu Yuan's actions had provided the impetus needed to push through Cursed Child-related bills. With this stimulus, radical factions wouldn't overreact in opposition.
Liu Yuan checked on Tina's situation, finding it stable, and returned to his store, ready for some much-needed rest. Having Jibril around meant he could now sleep peacefully every night, unlike before when he was constantly pestered by Kisara. As he settled down, he reminded himself to guard against Jibril's habit of stealing his clothes in the middle of the night.
Upon opening the store door, Liu Yuan found two people slumped in chairs, looking utterly defeated.
"What's wrong with you two? You look like you've been up for days," Liu Yuan remarked.
"Boss, help," Kisara pointed to the computer screen, where the game "Legend of Sword and Fairy" was open.
The game could be played solo or cooperatively. In cooperative mode, players became part of the action, but the plot remained the same. Despite this, the game duo found it much harder than they anticipated.
Liu Yuan was puzzled. "Immortal Sword isn't that hard. Even Ganyu, a workaholic, managed to get through it with some effort."
Ganyu, under Zhongli's encouragement, had taken up the game to relax. Though she struggled initially, she managed to progress. Liu Yuan found it curious that Zhong Li's persuasion worked when his didn't, being aquanted between them helped.
Liu Yuan approached the computer and realized why the duo looked so exhausted—they were stuck in the General's Tomb, a notoriously challenging maze.
"Why is it so hard for us when it looked simple for Chotolly?" Jibril exclaimed, her voice betraying her frustration.
"Because Chotolly played the realism mode with the protagonist team. The game mode requires players to navigate the labyrinth themselves, which can be overwhelming."
Liu Yuan knew the maze well. He recalled helping Kisara more with Resident Evil VI, where even simple tasks became challenging without guidance.
"Alright, I'll go online and help you guys out."
"Boss, you're the best! I'll get you a coke," Kisara more said excitedly, though Liu Yuan felt he was forgetting something important.
As he joined the game, Liu Yuan pondered what he'd forgotten.
Helping Tina gain rights? That wasn't it. Tina was capable, albeit inexperienced.
"What was it? Never mind, if it's important, it'll come to me. Kisara, Jibril, watch closely. This is how you navigate the labyrinth."
The General's Tomb was difficult for newcomers, but for Liu Yuan, an experienced player, it was a breeze. With his guidance, they quickly became immersed overnight.
