Chapter 31: Caught Off Guard!

"Eh!? Commander! Don't you need to ask for the password? What if the detonator is damaged..." Seeing Renault's extremely direct action, Super-Shorty immediately asked. After all, Commander Gentiane had said before that this collapse fluid bomb would not explode without a dedicated detonator.

"No need. Our goal is to show off this thing and buy some time for those Griffin dolls."

After Gentiane and the others moved to a safe area and were out of the attack range of the armored train, they had no worries.

Except for the train guns on the armored train, the military had no weapons that could penetrate the armor plate of the spacecraft.

The gunfire of those tanks wasn't strong enough, not to mention the missiles carried by the Minotaurus.

"Uh? Is that so?" Hearing Renault's words, Super-Shorty nodded. It turned out that her commander doesn't want to detonate this collapse fluid bomb, but just used it as a target to attract the military's attention.

"Commander! We found it here!" Just as Super-Shorty was wondering how Renault would deal with the two collapse fluid bombs after this operation, UMP9's shout rang out from another piece of wreckage.

As the voice fell, UMP9 and M1911 also ran over, dragging a large box at least as tall as a person.

Seeing the box in the hands of the two, Super-Shorty was a little surprised because the box was exactly the same as the one Renault had just violently opened, both in size and in the various logos on it.

"Another collapse fluid bomb? They dropped two?" UMP9 and M1911, who had run over, also saw the collapse fluid bomb in Renault's hand. The green collapse fluid was flowing in the original collapse fluid crystal lattice, and outside the lattice was an external device like a bottle opener.

"Two bombers, two collapse fluid bombs, um, very reasonable." P90 looked at what Renault had in his hand, then at the box that had been forcibly disassembled by Renault. Many of the lines inside had been damaged by Renault, and it was obvious that the detonator had been destroyed by him.

When Renault saw the boxes in the hands of the two, he walked up and, without saying a word, used the same technique and directly pulled out another collapse fluid bomb from the box.

Looking at the destroyed detonator, M1911 was also a little confused about what her commander was thinking.

In this way, wouldn't the collapse fluid bomb become an ordinary collapse fluid crystal grid that could not be detonated?

Although the collapse fluid crystal grid will also be damaged, it will never explode directly like the detonator but will gradually leak out at a not too slow speed, gradually increasing the collapse radiation index around it.

Of course, if the damage is too severe in a short period of time and the internal collapse fluid reacts too violently with the surrounding materials, it will actually explode...

But the power of this explosion is completely uncontrollable. It may be more powerful than manual detonation or less powerful than manual detonation. In short, there's no consistency at all...

"Get ready. Let's first defeat the team of military soldiers who are rushing over, and then destroy the track of the armored train." Pulling a cable directly from the box, Renault hung two collapse fluid bombs on his waist like a pendant and said to the dolls.

Seeing Renault's behavior, a group of dolls all twitched their eyes.

Aren't you worried that the two collapse fluid bombs will suddenly explode?

Those are two collapse fluid bombs... not some large plush toys that can be hung on the body!

But Renault obviously didn't intend to explain anything. While he was doing it, he picked up a few alloy brackets that looked more pleasing to the eye from the ground next to him.

M1911 was already somewhat used to this. Her commander was not picky about weapons and used whatever he had.

But seeing Renault picking up debris, M1911 roughly understood that Renault was not going to use firearms to slowly attack the opponent this time. He was holding these alloy brackets that weren't even weapons, and he was clearly going to rush directly into the military team and fight the opponent in hand-to-hand combat.

As for them... I'm afraid they can only follow suit because the weapons they have are too inefficient against the military's heavy protective clothing.

No wonder Renault just left WA2000 with MDR. WA2000, who just came to Renault, is not only a rifle doll, but hed close combat ability is probably just at the level of an average person.

This level is indeed enough to deal with ordinary people, but after activating the full power mode of their bodies, this level of combat skills and untrained reaction ability may make WA2000 the one who drags down the battle. As for why Super-Shorty was brought here by Renault even though she was new...

Of course, it was because she was small and inconspicuous, even shorter than Eliza, and she was using the new body, so even if she used her head to hit her opponents, it would be much more convenient than WA2000.

Of course, Super-Shorty was good at close-range combat. Although it wasn't necessarily fighting, she was definitely more experienced than WA2000 in dealing with close-range combat.

It was enough for MDR and the others to leave two people there. If it was a small-scale military team, the two of them would be enough to deal with it, and the military team that was about to collide with them was the only military team nearby.

If it wasn't for avoiding accidents and just in case, Renault might not even have left MDR and WA2000 there.

"Destroy the track of the armored train? This?"

What to destroy?

Where did the tracks of the intercontinental armored train come from?

Needless to say, this area originally belonged to the Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing, and those rails were naturally built by the Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing.

As for the quality, there is definitely no problem. The general old rails cannot bear the heavy behemoth of the intercontinental armored train.

And they didn't have anything to use at the moment. The only things that could destroy the tracks should be the two hanging on their commander's waist...

The doubts in the dolls' minds did not last long. It wasn't that Renault provided other solutions, but that the military team had already rushed over!

"Here we come!"

Hearing the engine sound of the vehicle that was already close at hand, M1911 and several others remained silent and began to use the military communication protocol.

The military's communication was blocked, but Renault's side had no such issues. His blocker was not like the military or Sangvis Ferri, which interfered over a large area, affecting even his own communication. The military team driving over, including Yegor in the first car, did not realize that someone had already arrived at the crash site and taken the collapse fluid bomb.

A line of eight mountain off-road vehicles stopped at the crash site without hesitation. As Yegor waved his hand, four soldiers, in pairs, ran toward the wreckage carrying a half-meter-long rectangular storage box.

It seemed that the military was also planning to secure the collapse fluid bomb.

After all, the collapse fluid bomb is a powerful weapon wherever it goes. Even Carter doesn't have many of them. These items are closely monitored by the Relics Bureau.

Even the military has difficulty accessing these items now. If it weren't for the Security Bureau's mediation, let alone the collapse fluid bomb, even photos wouldn't be seen!

"Hurry up! Find the collapse fluid bomb and secure it!"

In addition to the four soldiers carrying boxes and approaching the wreckage, other soldiers in heavy protective clothing were well-trained and spread out, keeping watch while waiting for the Minotaurus, which moved a little slowly in the back.

Compared to Renault's dolls, who could only rely on their eyes to find things, the military soldiers had more suitable equipment that could detect the collapse radiation index.

Even if the collapse fluid crystal grid was well-preserved, there would be no collapse fluid leakage, but the collapse radiation index around it would definitely rise.

Therefore, as long as they held these devices, they could easily locate the collapse fluid bomb.

Just as these four soldiers followed the direction indicated by their equipment and arrived at the back of one of the bomber wreckages, the green light emitted by the two green collapse fluid crystal grid bottles immediately caught their attention.

"What!? What's going on!"

If the collapse fluid crystal grid were transported regularly, it would be in corresponding storage equipment.

It's impossible for a collapse fluid bomb to be exposed directly in front of them!

However, these soldiers were only focused on the two collapse fluid bombs and did not see Renault, who was dressed in black and almost blended into the night.

As several soldiers exclaimed, Renault rushed directly toward the four people! The alloy bracket he picked up was used as a javelin and thrown at the two soldiers!

Crack!

The helmet mask, made of high-strength polymer, was as fragile as ordinary glass under Renault's attack.

The harsh, crisp sound exploded directly in the ears of the remaining three soldiers!

For M1911, P90, and others, this sound was like a starting gun. The T-Dolls hiding in various dark corners also rushed toward the scattered military soldiers at the same moment!

The imprint weapons they had were not very effective, but their powerful bodies weighing hundreds of kilograms made up for it. After acceleration and the force-generating skills they trained in their daily lives, the power they unleashed was definitely more significant than their imprint weapons!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

AR15 did not rush out directly like the other dolls. She carried other weapons modified by Renault, which were normally enough to penetrate the helmet masks of heavy protective clothing.

It would have been fine if the others didn't bring them, but why she wouldn't she use them?

As the gunshots rang out, three soldiers who were looking around and had no defense against AR15 immediately fell on their backs!

After the gunshots, the attacks from M1911, P90, and others who rushed out hit those soldiers!

Bang!

It was much duller than AR15's gunshots, but it still directly penetrated the helmet masks of these soldiers!

Super-Shorty, who also rushed out and kicked a soldier in the head, felt like she stepped on something soft after breaking the opponent's helmet mask.

It was sticky, but there were some inconspicuous hard objects, like stepping into seabed mud mixed with stones and shells...

Caught off guard, these soldiers reacted quickly. None shouted loudly about the enemy attack, because after they reacted, they raised their weapons without hesitation and aimed at these suddenly appearing figures!

As for Renault?

On Renault's side, who was hiding in the wreckage, there were no additional people to cover except the four soldiers searching for the collapse fluid bomb.

Perhaps due to a shortage of manpower or because they felt there was no need to send more people with so many colleagues around?

Just after the alloy bracket thrown by Renault pierced through one soldier's helmet, Renault had already arrived in front of the remaining four!

The alloy bracket, which was originally like roadside waste, become a magic weapon in Renault's hands, piercing through helmets that could block full-power bullets as easily as a hot knife through butter!

First, the leader was pierced through the head by an alloy bracket. Then Renault jumped out and pierced the helmets of the two people behind with two alloy brackets in his hand!

The only soldier left, staring at the bodies of his fallen colleagues, glared with frustration at his body's slowness.

Just as he reacted, threw away the handle of the storage box in his hand, and readied his weapon, the tip of a boot was already coming close to him!

Bang!

Although Renault did not break the opponent's helmet with this kick, it was enough. Even with the opponent's heavy protective clothing protected by a support frame inside, Renault's kick was enough to break the opponent's neck.

Da da da da!

Just after Renault finished off the four men, the soldier attacked by the T-Dolls outside also pulled the trigger.

In fact, it took only one or two seconds.

Yegor couldn't focus on giving orders at this time, because the dolls in front of him were far beyond his understanding of the word "Doll"!

When did a doll have the capabilities of kicking the helmet of a heavy protective suit to pieces!

And not all of them kicked with their feet; some even used their fists directly!?

Damn it! These dolls! These dolls are Renault's! Are all the dolls of that man monsters!?

Looking at the punch from M1911 in front of him, which should have been an ordinary tactical doll, Yegor reluctantly raised the weapon in his hand to block it!

Crash!

The weapon that should have been sturdy and reliable was as fragile as a plastic toy in the hands of a toddler under the opponent's fist!

Twisted and broken parts flew in front of Yegor!

Chapter 32: I'll Talk About It Later

Monster!

The cracks on the helmet mask and the numb hands all proved that the person in front of him, who looked exactly like the tactical doll codenamed M1911 in Griffin, could not be called a tactical doll!

The cracks on his helmet weren’t even caused by the opponent's fists. They were merely the damage caused by the steel cable in the bolt structure breaking and hitting the mask...

And the weapon in his hand, the modified heavy barrel, broke directly from the strongest part of the barrel, with the fixing bolt of the gun body cover even lodged on the side of the helmet.

He could feel that most of the fixing bolt had penetrated the helmet and scratched his cheek.

Bang, bang, bang!

M1911 on the other side was not standing idly by. Seeing the guy in front of her, who was dressed somewhat differently from other soldiers in the military, relying on sheer force to jump away or being pushed back more than ten meters, she took out her imprint weapon without hesitation, raised his hand, and shot three times at the opponent's damaged helmet mask!

Although the weapon in M1911's hand was generally the same imprint weapon, the barrel had been lengthened, the barrel material had been replaced, the bullet used had changed from the original .45 ACP to a smaller caliber, and the original heavy bullet had been replaced with a more penetrating armored steel core bullet.

Although it was still not very powerful against heavy armored targets, it should be more than enough to break the damaged helmet mask of the person in front of her.

Yegor certainly saw M1911's actions. In fact, he had seen it when M1911 reached for the holster under her armpit; otherwise, he would not have had time to raise his hand to block his face!

Bang, bang, bang!

Although his hands were numb, he could still clearly feel the three bullets piercing his protective suit and entering his left arm!

Although it was a heavy protective suit, the protection for the arm was inevitably much weaker than that for the torso. The M1911 bullet, which originally didn't have penetration ability against the heavy protective suit, actually penetrated one of his arms.

One of the three bullets had even penetrated the protective suit on his left arm, with the bullet lodged in the middle of the suit...

If he hadn't made this subconscious move, he might have had two holes in his forehead by now!

Da da da da!

Fortunately, the few seconds that Yegor and M1911 were engaged were enough for the surrounding military soldiers to react. They certainly would not stand by and watch their superior being attacked.

When the sound of gunfire rang out, M1911 had to jump away to avoid being hit by the weapons in the hands of these soldiers. At the same time, several soldiers attacked M1911, and since Yegor was already the second target of M1911, many soldiers had already reacted.

While some colleagues covered and shot, they rushed to Yegor's side, carried him, and ran toward the car they were driving.

In just a face-to-face encounter, nine of their colleagues had fallen on the spot, and the four who went to search for the collapse fluid bomb were probably in danger!

At least one-third of the troops had been reduced in a short moment. With such loss, there was no way to continue the fight. The reason they did not turn around and run on the spot was, of course, that they knew the fate of leaving their backs to these dolls would be nothing short of annihilation.

Bang!

AR15, who had just taken down three people, fired two more shots, knocking down two more soldiers who were covering Yegor's retreat.

However, AR15 was quickly suppressed. These soldiers following Yegor were not new recruits. The rest of them quickly found cover and alternated firing to suppress AR15 and the other dolls.

The main reason was that there were two vehicle-mounted machine guns on the soldiers' vehicles, which were constantly spitting out flames under the control of two soldiers.

AR15 had just shot down two machine gunners, but the other side immediately replaced them with two more.

Under the current situation, unless AR15 and the others threw caution to the wind and rushed out directly under a hail of bullets, there was no good solution in the short term.

Why throw caution to the wind? That was, of course, a literal interpretation. The soldiers on the opposite side shot at their heads one by one. Rushing out would mean a series of bullets directly to their faces. If they were unlucky, they might even get hit in the eyes.

After returning, they should ask Scarecrow for a pair of bulletproof goggles...

Several dolls thought this in their hearts, and even SpectreM4 felt the same way. Although she was wearing an electronic camouflage cape, it seemed ineffective in the eyes of those on the opposite side and had no camouflage effect at all...

It’s still night! How can you all shoot so accurately!?

"What should we do? SpectreM4's built-in stealth doesn’t work," P90 said, looking at SpectreM4, who also stayed behind the bunker and didn’t rush out. "If only Vector were here now."

Vector, can always magically hide incendiary bombs on her body. Vector, who carries incendiary bombs with her, would undoubtedly play a significant role in the current situation.

They hadn't carried any throwing objects when they came this time.

Carrying some pistols could be said to be for self-defense, but carrying grenades or stun grenades would be unreasonable in the exhibition... The military would have an excuse to detain them.

Well, if they had known they would end up fighting directly with the military, they would have brought a sack of projectiles or heavy weapons.

Bang! -- Bang! -- Bang!

It wasn’t the sound of a machine gun, but the three Minotaurus that had been following the military team before had caught up with them.

Seeing the three Minotaurus replace the soldiers who were firing to suppress them, M1911 and the others couldn’t help but look a little grim.

If these Minotaurus successfully replaced the soldiers, it would be almost impossible for them to chase after them.

These three Minotaurus were more than enough to stop them because they didn't have any anti-armor means at hand.

AR15 wanted to try her best, but just as she turned sideways, a series of bullets hit the bunker, smashing the edge of it, and the next bullet almost tore the bunker to pieces.

Finally, AR15 had to roll from the back of the bunker into a pit to survive.

But soon, the machine guns and assault rifles of the military soldiers all went silent. It wasn't that they were out of bullets; they had started the vehicles!

Buzz!

After the sound of the vehicle engines, several mountain off-road vehicles carrying a dozen surviving soldiers rushed out in a direction far away from the crash site!

But the three Minotaurus did not leave. Instead, they walked toward AR15 and the others, and the weapons in their hands began to emit a series of dangerous arcs!

"Not good! Get out of the way!" Seeing the arcs on the arms of the three Minotaurus, M1911 shouted loudly.

The T-Dolls who heard the sound scattered!

Sizzle!

Fierce arcs of electricity shot out from the Minotaurus' arms, instantly covering the shelters where the dolls had been!

As for why the T-Dolls didn't dodge in one direction, it was naturally because of the missile launchers equipped on the Minotaurus.

It would be fine if they didn't gather together, but if they did, wouldn't they be targets for the other side?

While the T-Dolls were avoiding the Minotaurus' attack, Renault looked at the military vehicles that had driven away with some regret, but it didn't matter even if they didn't stay because he didn't come here to clear out all the military personnel.

It was already very good to make the military leave behind a few mountain off-road vehicles.

As for the three Minotaurus that didn't run away with the others, they probably planned to kill several dolls completely before notifying the others to return. However, although the Minotaurus are huge and heavily armored, they are not impossible to deal with.

Since they are mass-produced heavy machines used by the military, it is inevitable that these Minotaurus will play their due role in the military's combat system.

To reflect the indispensability of the Minotaurus, or the value of this type of machine, these machines must have something that other machines cannot match.

But at the same time, since they are equipment purchased by the military, there must be some parts on these machines that have slightly lowered standards to ensure the cost of mass production.

Just like the hydraulic pipelines exposed at the joints of the three Minotaurus at this time.

These pipelines were indeed well hidden by the manufacturer at the back, and it is indeed difficult to attack these Minotaurus from the front. But the backside... as long as he moves a little faster, he can personally perform "surgery" on these big guys.

The darkness at this time provided him with a great advantage. When the dolls jumped away, Renault took the opportunity to circle around the three Minotaurus, and the alloy bracket in his hand stabbed at the joints of the three Minotaurus without hesitation!

Squeak!

The sharp metal friction sound came directly from Renault's hand!

The alloy bracket in Renault's hand not only cut off the hydraulic pipeline of the Minotaurus with one blow but also got stuck directly into the knees of the three bodies!

With the automatic balancing system, Renault's little action did not affect the movements of the three Minotaurus, but if you look closely, you'll see that the three Minotaurus can no longer walk.

A Minotaurus that lost one leg, even if the control system is recompiled, can't continue to walk with only one leg to support such a huge and heavy body.

Although they couldn't walk, they could still stand still.

Two of the pilots appeared to have noticed something was wrong with their mechs and did not move them rashly.

But the other pilot is most like new and did not have a cautious attitude. After discovering that there was a figure behind him, he subconsciously turned around and used the weapon in his hand to completely electrocute the other person.

Unfortunately, this turn directly caused the Minotaurus, which was already shaky, to fall to one side!

Boom!

As the Minotaurus fell to the ground, a series of missiles flew out from the missile launcher on its shoulder!

Some were rushing toward Renault, some toward the T-Dolls, and some even toward the machine of their colleagues next to them!

Obviously, the pilot had panicked and accidentally triggered the missile launch switch.

Boom!

More than a dozen missiles flew out one after another, directly blowing up the two Minotaurus next to him!

Fortunately, the Minotaurus' armor was thick, and the missiles did not cause much damage to them.

But the explosion alone was enough. The continuous explosions directly shook the balance maintained by the two pilots manually, causing the two Minotaurus to fall to one side!

"Aha! It's time to beat the drowning dog!" Seeing the two Minotaurus fall, P90 rushed out from behind her cover, picked up a piece of metal debris, and charged forward!

They are already like this, and she is not allowed to rush up and join in the fun!?

Looking at the T-Dolls rushing forward, aiming at the joints of the Minotaurus one by one, and tearing off the pipes of the bodies one by one, Renault shrugged his shoulders, "Okay, stop playing, get in the car, and let's go."

The purpose of finding the collapse fluid bomb has been achieved, and the military blockers have retreated. There's nothing more to do now. It's enough to destroy a small section of the intercontinental train track before meeting with Gentiane.

As long as the intercontinental train cannot move forward, the train cannons on the train will not be able to penetrate the mountain and attack his spacecraft.

"Okay!" Hearing this, P90 immediately threw down the debris in her hand and ran directly to the four mountain off-road vehicles left by the military soldiers.

"This situation is too frustrating." AR15 jumped onto the off-road vehicle where Renault was and complained to him helplessly.

If they have to hide like today every time they encounter an armored unit like the Minotaurus, won't they have to avoid heavy armored units in the future?

Hearing what AR15 said, M1911 immediately rolled her eyes. Is she still frustrated?

Their own commander has already defeated the three Minotaurus, what else do you want?

One shot to blow up the opponent's mecha?

Can you be a little more realistic? When encountering such a heavily armored unit, isn't the best choice to run away?

"Let's talk about it later. If you don't want to use your original imprint weapon, I'll get you some other weapons when we go back." Renault narrowed his eyes, thinking about how to modify all the electromagnetic rifles he had used before.

But those things were originally designed for the power armor. If the doll wants to use them, they must be redesigned.

Otherwise, they are too big, and carrying a rifle on their back is like carrying a big box. How would they use it?

Chapter 33: Just a Moment!

"The radiation dose is safe! Stop the captain's bleeding first!"

Squeak!

Several cars stopped at the same time, and two soldiers jumped out with a first aid kit in their hands.

Yegor, who was in the co-pilot seat, was also helped down by two other soldiers, who quickly removed the protective suit and exoskeleton from his arm.

Yegor's left forearm was already bloody at this point. Three bullets had opened a gap at least five centimeters wide in his left arm. The bones were likely broken, and only the muscles and skin were holding the wound together.

Seeing this kind of injury, the soldiers did not panic. If this level of injury had occurred before the Third World War, it might have led to an amputation.

But with current medical technology, it's no longer what it used to be. Although the tendons and bones were seriously injured, as long as Yegor wasn’t dead, he would definitely be able to heal his arm after returning!

Just now, because of the protective suit and the exoskeleton, Yegor couldn’t even press the wound to stop the bleeding.

The emergency tourniquet on the protective suit had apparently failed to function properly due to the impact.

As a result, Yegor’s face was now pale. If they hesitated any longer, Yegor would definitely die from excessive blood loss.

"All right!" After giving emergency treatment to Yegor’s wound and ensuring that the bleeding had stopped temporarily, the soldier who treated him was relieved.

"Captain?" Several soldiers nearby looked at Yegor, who was pale and sweating, and asked worriedly.

As they spoke, Yegor was lifted back into the co-pilot seat of the vehicle.

"Uh, well, I'm fine... notify the other teams and have them take our place." Yegor endured the severe pain and gave orders, but his eyes swept over the surviving soldiers.

In just a brief face-to-face encounter, in less than a minute, a whole platoon had been reduced to only one-third of its original strength. The three Minotaurus hadn't even caught up yet, and they were already in danger.

Seeing Yegor’s gaze turn toward the crash site, the soldier next to him immediately tried to reassure him, "Don’t worry, Captain, they’ll be fine. The three Minotaurus will definitely be able to deal with those guys!"

Seeing his subordinates still full of confidence, Yegor forced a smile.

When the soldier said this, his voice was trembling. It was clear he didn’t believe it himself...

Because what they had just encountered was simply not human... Well, it’s not wrong to say that. Dolls are indeed not human, but the combat effectiveness of those tactical dolls...

Let alone the military dolls, even the elite dolls specialized in iron and blood are probably not opponents. That kind of power and speed completely exceeded his expectations. He had never imagined that tactical dolls could be so strong.

The surviving soldiers had no injuries at all, except for some dust. They looked in good condition, but in reality... there were no wounded at all. His only wounded soldier was now practically useless.

The ferocity of the opponent’s attack far exceeded his estimation of dolls. It’s not that he hadn’t dealt with Griffin’s tactical dolls before, but tactical dolls were much easier to handle because when tactical dolls attacked humans, according to their root protocols, they wouldn’t make lethal attacks at first.

Warning shots, then non-lethal attacks, and only after that would they aim to take a life.

Three steps in a row, which wouldn’t be an issue when dealing with ordinary bandits, mercenaries, or civilians. Most of these targets were lightly equipped, and the old weapons in the dolls’ hands were still effective against them.

But they were different. Military soldiers with protective gear, like protective suits, could rush in and take the other side down without hesitation.

Because the other side’s process hadn’t been completed.

It was only two or three seconds, but those few seconds could determine the outcome of the battle.

But the dolls on Renault’s side were just like the dolls made by Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing, attacking vital points without hesitation.

The doll that fired the gun aimed directly at the head. Most importantly, all of these dolls attacked without saying a word...

As reckless as the Sangvis Ferri, and their attack accuracy far exceeded that of the Sangvis Ferri...

If these dolls in Renault’s hands were mass-produced... No, if that guy wanted this kind of doll to be mass-produced, he would have done it long ago. According to intelligence analysis, Renault has no interest in chaotic endeavors.

Since his first appearance, all he has done is accept commissions, make money, and leave. In addition, he has sold some inconspicuous civilian supplies, food, and drinks to Griffin and other places.

But there is only one problem: Renault is very vengeful. If someone crosses him, he will strangle them to death without hesitation.

So...

Yegor closed his eyes and pushed away the chaotic thoughts caused by the shock. Excessive blood loss had not only weakened him but also made his head dizzy. He needed to stop thinking so much.

After resting with his eyes closed for a while, Yegor suddenly opened his eyes, remembering something important.

Why was Renault here? Shouldn’t he be at the Griffin base with the Griffin commander?

"Go! Find a way to contact the heavy troops! Griffin’s men may have escaped!" Yegor suddenly snapped back to his senses and shouted with what little strength he had left, his eyes glaring at the spaceship in the sky that was still dodging the train cannon’s attacks.

No wonder! No wonder the spaceship was hovering in the sky for so long, unable to get out of the train’s attack range!

That thing is just a decoy!

It was placed there to attract their attention!

Most of the soldiers didn’t know much about Renault’s spaceship. While they knew it had excellent defensive capabilities, they didn’t have a clear understanding of its speed.

With the speed of that spaceship, which could travel back and forth between Bremen and here in just a few hours, it would be easy to rush out of the armored train’s firing range!

This area is mountainous! It would be easy to find a hilltop to block the armored train’s train cannon firing range!

...

No matter how long it takes for the military to detect Renault and his group’s actions, for Renault, they’ve almost won this game. The armored train’s starting speed and the military’s heavy troops can never catch up with the spaceship’s speed.

"Is this the track of the armored train? When did the military widen these tracks?" UMP9 scratched her head as she looked at the rails on the ground.

"Hey, they must have equipment for laying rails. How can an armored train be so inconvenient!" P90 waved her hand dismissively. From the pattern of the rails, it was clear that the extra tracks on both sides of the original ones must have been laid temporarily.

When the armored train leaves this side, the track-laying device on the body will retract the tracks.

"Huh? Doesn't that mean that even if we blow up this track, they can continue to move? Then our action is meaningless!" MP5 shouted in confusion, looking at Renault, who was stuffing explosives under the sleepers.

The explosives were all found on the military car. Although they aren't professional-grade, they're definitely enough to loosen the screws on this rail.

As long as the connection is loose, they won't need explosives anymore. Several dolls can just work together to pull these rails and throw them aside. After an explosion that wasn't harsh on the dolls, they came forward and pulled up the heavy rails with all their hands and feet.

Even though the two rails were still connected to the sleepers, they couldn't withstand the strength of Renault's dolls and were thrown dozens of meters away!

"This is not meaningless. Even if those guys can repair and re-lay the rails, the speed definitely won't be as fast as before. As long as we can delay them for five to ten minutes, we'll have escaped!"

M1911 explained while clapping her hands and jumping back into the car.

The other dolls also reached out and followed suit. Four military off-road vehicles carried seven dolls, but each vehicle seemed to sink deeply. Renault couldn't help but sigh when he saw this scene.

Fortunately, the military vehicles are relatively sturdy, and the lightweight doll bodies must accelerate.

While driving, Renault asked M1911 beside him to send a message to M1 Garand, informing them that they could leave the airspace now.

If nothing unexpected happens, Gentiane and the others should be close to the scheduled evacuation point now, and when the spaceship passes, they can pick them all up.

"There's news from the commander! Wz.29, we can evacuate!" Seeing the message from M1911, M1 Garland was delighted and shouted directly to Wz.29.

Upon hearing this, Wz.29, who had long been unable to bear it, immediately pulled the rudder, dodged the bombardment, and without hesitation increased the speed to the maximum. The entire spaceship rushed out almost instantly!

"Ah! Ahhh——!"

UMP45 and M1 Garand were suddenly pressed down in their seats by a force and screamed!

This situation had never happened when Renault was driving the spaceship! Even the acceleration was very stable!

Wz.29's move was, of course, a violation, but only under normal circumstances. There aren't so many twists and turns in battle. As long as you can quickly get out of the enemy's artillery fire, this sudden acceleration method can certainly be used.

The premise is that the passengers in the spacecraft won't have their brains thrown out by this sudden acceleration...

"Ugh! So dizzy! It's just like riding a roller coaster... No, it's more than ten times worse than a roller coaster!" Even though she was fixed on the bed, Persica still felt that her brain seemed to be shaking like water, and the milk tea she drank not long ago was churning in her stomach.

Helian's face was also livid. She resisted the urge to vomit and stared at the ceiling with dead fish eyes. She couldn't close her eyes, otherwise, she would be more dizzy!

"Ahem, this should be a good thing... The spaceship should be accelerating. If nothing unexpected happens, we should have left the area just now." Kroger, who was sitting on the chair, felt fine, but for a moment he felt that his cervical vertebrae were almost broken... However, he had already escaped death this time. Could he still expect to escape comfortably?

Seeing the spaceship suddenly speeding away from this airspace, the gunners and commanders on the armored train were almost all stunned.

They had never expected that the spaceship, which was still tumbling back and forth in the sky, dodging their attacks like a juggler, would rush out of their attack range in an instant!

Even if they turned the gun muzzle now, it was too late! The speed of that spaceship! As long as it rushed over their heads, the speed at which their turrets turned could not keep up with it!

"Damn it! We were fooled!" The commander on the armored train was certainly not a fool.

He quickly figured out what the spaceship's maneuvering had meant just now!

It was clearly a deliberate distraction! So that they had no time to aim at other targets!

"Griffin's base is empty!"

"Those Griffin dolls have already run away!"

"And the Sangvis dolls as well!"

The successive reports seemed to cut off the last thread of the armored train commander's sanity...

"Asshole! Back up immediately! The spaceship flew towards the mountainous area behind! Those Griffin dolls must have moved there!" The direction of the spaceship's flight was very obvious, and it was impossible for him not to see such an apparent intention.

And the other party's behavior was obviously not concealed. Did they think they didn't have time to get there!?

The huge armored train that was originally parked in place, after receiving the order, immediately drove slowly in the direction it had come from, but just as the train's speed had not yet increased, someone notified...

"Commander! The train track has been destroyed!"

"Then fix it quickly!" It's just repairing the track. It's not a big problem. This kind of thing had been considered at the beginning of the armored train project.

But the maintenance was originally done only to take into account that some places were impassable, not to race against time with the spacecraft... They needed at least half an hour to restore the rails to their original state...

"But... it's too late! Commander! The spacecraft has begun to lower its altitude! It's already on the back of the mountain! We can't catch up at all!"

Even if the railway was repaired, they would have to go a long way around before they could lock the spacecraft into the attack range of the train cannon again.

Chapter 34: Which One Do You Choose?

"Here it comes, doesn't it?" MDR said, pointing to the spaceship flying close to the top of the mountain not far away.

WA2000 was worried about Renault's situation and was contemplating to take out her mobile phone to call and ask. She had been nagging MDR for the past ten minutes.

"Huh, it's okay, but why haven't I seen the commander and the others come back?" WA2000 breathed a sigh of relief and then asked.

MDR slapped her forehead, "Don't you know how to check your communication protocol? You can see the current location of M1911 and the others at a glance. Can you stop asking me about everything? You're already a mature doll; you have to learn to collect intelligence on your own."

As soon as WA2000 looked at her recognition system, she could see the exact location of M1911 and the others.

Renault must be with them, and as M1911 and the others approached, she could vaguely hear the sound of a car engine.

Renault and the others were obviously fine, and it was clear that they must have snatched the car from the military; otherwise, where would the engine sound come from?

While talking, the spaceship had already lowered its altitude under the control of wz.29 and did not completely land on the ground because this wasn't flat terrain but aimed the rear cargo door at the location of MDR and the others.

Seeing the slowly descending rear hatch, Gentiane breathed a sigh of relief and immediately called out to her own T-Dolls, "Quick! Count the number of people! Get on board!"

Since there was basically no fighting along the way, the dolls were naturally uninjured, and even if there were, it was just some minor bumps and bruises that did not affect their movements at all.

"Drive in directly; don't get out," MDR said, waving her hand when she saw that Gentiane was about to abandon the car. Although the space on the spaceship was relatively tight, it was for living quarters. For people like Gentiane and the others, it was still no problem to take a short ride.

Besides, this isn't a passenger plane, let alone a soft sleeper compartment. Each Doll doesn't need to be provided with a hard seat or a bed.

Anyway, with the speed of the spaceship, it won't take long to reach the destination, and then Gentiane and the others can disembark.

After all the Griffin dolls boarded the spaceship, Renault and his men drove over. After seeing the open cargo door, they drove into the cargo hold without hesitation.

Super-Shorty, who was on the rear car, jumped off in advance without waiting for AR15 to stabilize the car and ran straight to the hatch switch not far away.

When they saw the cargo door gradually close and then fully shut, Gentiane and Kalina breathed a sigh of relief and sat down on the ground immediately, looking relaxed.

Although they hadn't done much physically along the way, the psychological pressure was really quite high. Not everyone can remain calm after being surrounded by a group of mixed echelons and heavy military troops.

"Commander." Just as the two of them were relaxing, Scarecrow also walked in from the elevator. Yes, it was Scarecrow No. 1.

The Scarecrow who came in first greeted Renault and then reported the current situation of the spacecraft. After all, the spacecraft had suffered a lot of damage in the short time it had been in the sky.

When Renault heard what Scarecrow said about the serious damage to the doll residential area and living area, he was actually a little confused because he didn't know what the dolls usually bought for themselves.

However, it has been so long, and a little bit, for a period of time, becomes a lot. The personal belongings of the dolls should be quite numerous. This time... I'm afraid many dolls will really feel the pain.

The same pain should also be felt by his own wallet... Fortunately, this commission isn't without any gains. Whether it's the clients who sent Charlotte or Griffin and IOP, they will pay a lot.

This time the battle was so big; if these guys don't pay more money, it will be a bit unpleasant.

"Okay, don't stand here. Your two supervisors are over there in the guest room. Just let Scarecrow take you two there. It's just right for us to go over and help untie the restraints on those guys." Renault waved his hand at Gentiane.

Now the spaceship has taken off again and bypassed the armored train. Without the threat of the train gun, the spaceship naturally doesn't need to make any outrageous maneuvers, and the next flight will naturally be very stable.

At this time, wz.29 and UMP45 in the bridge also breathed a sigh of relief, "It's finally over. The condition of the protective barrier isn't bad. Now it seems that we could've done fewer maneuvers just now," UMP45 said, pulling the corner of her mouth a little stiffly, trying to stop herself from thinking about the situation in her and UMP40's rooms.

Hearing this, wz.29 shook her head helplessly. "Do fewer maneuvers? How is that possible? What if the military has other means of attack? Letting the energy of the protective barrier be consumed rapidly is no different from handing a knife to the military on the ground."

Though she thought this, wz.29 also had a headache looking at the broken cups and the books that had fallen apart... Fortunately, she had finished drinking the water in the cup; otherwise, she would definitely be severely criticized by Renault for bringing ordinary cups to the bridge...

"Okay, don't worry about it. It's completely safe now. The military definitely won't be able to catch up. Just clean up slowly next." M1 Garand saw the pain and frustration on the faces of the two and comforted them at the right time.

The two who heard this sighed at the same time, "I hope so." x2

The situation in the bridge is already so embarrassing; you can imagine how bad the situation in the dolls' dormitories will be.

No wonder Renault strictly prohibited bringing ordinary daily necessities to the bridge and other combat areas inside the spacecraft...

And fortunately, the power area of the spacecraft was locked by Renault early on; otherwise, just by the speed at which the dolls added debris like moving, the power area would soon become a mess.

Although M1897 is now the leader of the cleaning department in the spacecraft, the area she is responsible for cleaning is mostly just the public space. The dolls' own rooms and some places where the dolls hide on their own initiative are not included.

After listening to the report from Scarecrow, Renault did not stay in the cargo hold but went directly to the biological laboratory. Well, it can be regarded as a laboratory.

In order to ensure the safety of Angelia, the client, Renault had stuffed this woman into the culture tank, and now it is almost time to let her out.

When Renault rushed to the biological laboratory, he happened to see Renate standing in front of the console, looking at the buttons on the console worriedly.

It was simple to put Angelia in. First, inject the nutrient solution into the culture tank, and then put Angelia in, but to get her out... You can't just pull Angelia out by the back of her neck, right?

Not to mention whether this would cost Angelia her life, the injuries on her body alone do not support such reckless behavior. It was just an emergency measure before, so there was no need to worry about secondary injuries.

The sound of the hatch opening made Renate turn around. When she saw Renault appear at the door, her eyes lit up.

The same was true for Angelia in the culture tank. As long as Renault was here, she should be able to get out of the culture tank soon, and she wouldn't have to continue soaking in liquid like a cadaver.

"You can still hold on with such injuries. You're really lucky," Renault said, glancing at Angelia and roughly assessing her injuries.

Half of her body's bones were nearly broken, and she was fortunate to have been rescued.

However, compared to releasing Angelia from the culture tank, Renault felt it was safer to keep her inside, given the number of dolls on the ship now, not all of whom were well-behaved.

If some clumsy individual bumped into her, Angelia could be in serious danger.

On the contrary, only M1 Garand and Scarecrow could enter the biological laboratory at present. Renate had come from here, so of course, she could enter.

So compared to other places, this location was obviously more suitable for Angelia to recuperate.

"Well, Commander, don't tease her. Can't you see that Angelia is so anxious she's about to shout?" Renate looked at Angelia's expression and couldn't help laughing. Although her words were directed at Renault, the tone sounded like she was adding fuel to the fire.

Renault shrugged his shoulders. "With your injuries, even if you're sent to a regular hospital, you won't be cured for a year or two. But I have a way to make you recover faster."

Hearing this, Renate raised her eyebrows and subconsciously looked at the other culture tanks around her.

When Angelia heard this, she followed Renate's gaze to the culture tanks nearby. She was immediately horrified. Could it be that Renault planned to throw her into one of those culture tanks next to her!?

What a joke! Seeing those things moving inside, if she was thrown in, she'd probably turn into Ange Juice in a few minutes!

"It's not what you think. It has nothing to do with those things next to you. It's just something that speeds up your recovery. It's not as outrageous as those others," Renault said, rolling his eyes at Renate, who was intentionally guiding Angelia's thoughts.

Hearing Renault's words, Angelia frowned, feeling a bit conflicted because she didn't know what Renault was talking about... and... wait a minute...

She hadn't even spoken just now!

Thinking of this, Angelia's eyes widened. She stared at Renault.

'I didn't say anything at all! Can you read minds!?'

"That's about right. Just think about it in your head, and I can hear you."

Hiss!

Creepy!

At that moment, Angelia suddenly felt a chill run through her body, and goosebumps appeared unconsciously!

At the same time, she began to worry whether Renault might learn some other secrets from her mind.

But the more she tried not to think about it, the more thoughts filled Angelia's mind, and Renault saw more and more.

Seeing Angelia in this state, Renault immediately spread his hands, exasperated. "The more you think about it, the more I can hear. Let's focus on my proposal."

Hearing this, Angelia forced herself to calm down. 'Does this recovery method have any side effects or consequences?'

"Of course, there are side effects. Your body will deviate in a inhuman direction in the future. It's not the appearance, but the internal parts of your body. However, it mainly depends on how fast you want to recover."

"If you recover in a day or two, you can say goodbye to being biologically human. If you recover in about a week, you can still be considered human. If you recover in a month, there won't be much change except for a slight alteration in your physical constitution."

After hearing what Renault said, not only was Angelia stunned, but Renate beside her also looked at Renault with some doubt.

And Angelia was even more shocked.

'Are you an alien!?'

"Alien? I guess you could say that, but it's a bit complicated to explain, so I won't go into it. So, which one do you choose? Of course, no matter which one, you must..."

'Pay more money!? Right!?' Angelia thought in annoyance as she rolled her eyes.

"Yes, although there's no money in your account, the information in your mind is still very useful, such as the location of abandoned factories or abandoned mines in the black zone."

This kind of place was still very useful for Renault.

The interior of his spaceship had just been tossed around. Although the combat and internal facilities inside the spaceship were not severely damaged, there was a lot of industrial equipment on his ship that he hadn't made himself.

Although these things looked strong, they couldn't withstand the previous level of tossing, even if Renault had secured those pieces of equipment on the hull of the spaceship in advance.

Because the internal parts couldn't be fixed directly with things like fixing bolts, unlike their main bodies.

Angelia worked in Statesec. Even if she didn't know the information related to these things now, as long as she went back to look through the files, there would definitely be relevant records in Statesec.

This was much more convenient than Renault buying information at a high price on the black market or asking around through Helian.

Angelia's face darkened when she heard that Renault knew there was no money in her account, but she immediately began to think about whether his proposal was feasible.

And soon, Angelia made up her mind.

After all, the situation of various forces was treacherous and ever-changing. If she had to lie in bed for a year or two, it would be difficult for her to accept...

I...

Chapter 35 Absent-Minded

"Long time no see, Agent, and Eliza."

Looking at the elite dolls of the Sangvis Ferri in front of her, Scarecrow reluctantly approached and greeted them.

It was impossible not to say hello. M1 Garand, G36, and Springfield were busy rescuing the damaged equipment and materials on the ship, so the task of arranging the Griffin dolls fell on her.

In addition to Griffin, there were the Sangvis Ferris who had followed Gentia's dolls into the spaceship.

There weren't many Sangvis Ferris left. Besides a few elite dolls and Eliza herself, there were only a few Aegis and a few Manticore.

The dozen or so Manticores were now shrinking their bodies and standing in the corner of the cargo hold, looking pitiful.

But there was nothing that could be done about it. After all, Renault and the others had driven the stolen off-road vehicle directly into the cargo hold.

"Scarecrow..." Seeing Scarecrow arranging various things like a butler, Agent frowned and looked at her with a very complicated expression.

In the command structure of Sangvis Ferri, Scarecrow’s authority was not very high. Although she undertook a lot of command work on a daily basis, her authority level was only slightly higher than that of the ordinary Sangvis Ferri.

Hunter and Executioner, who were also elite dolls like Scarecrow, were all at the same level. It was just that Scarecrow was good at handling various affairs, so some matters related to the factories were delegated to her.

Although her command authority in the Sangvis Ferri hierarchy was not high, there were indeed a lot of affairs to manage.

But after the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind, Eliza, decided to eliminate all human employees, Scarecrow’s status had fallen back to its original level.

Agent had never considered the change in Scarecrow’s mood. She had not expected to see the first Scarecrow who died at Griffin’s hands appear before her.

Why was it the first one instead of the one that was remade a while ago?

Of course, it was because Scarecrow in front of her looked more agile than the previous one.

Even the elite dolls of Sangvis Ferri were still a bit stiff when newly made. Only after dealing with various affairs for a long time and interacting with humans, like Scarecrow in front of her, could they become as natural as they were now.

Scarecrow had been like this initially, and she now looked much more natural than other elite dolls of Sangvis Ferri. Agent had not expected to see her again now...

Before Agent could say anything, Eliza couldn't hold back any longer. She sensed that M4 was on this ship at the moment!

But... because this was Renault's lair, Eliza didn't dare to act rashly.

Not to mention whether the T-Dolls on the spaceship could defeat her, Renault himself was enough to make Eliza restrain herself and avoid attacking.

She came to find the missing part of herself, not to die intentionally.

"I want to see M4."

Upon hearing Eliza’s straightforward request, Scarecrow shrugged helplessly. Who could have known that the feared Sangvis Ferri Mastermind would be such a young girl who looked a bit dazed?

"I can't make decisions for others, but you can ask someone to help you. If you speak more tactfully, maybe someone will be willing to help you speak to M4." Scarecrow spread her hands and added, "Just use the Sangvis Ferri communication protocol to speak directly on the public channel; most dolls will hear you."

Of course, "most" referred to the dolls in Renault's home, and Griffin dolls were naturally not included.

At this time, Gentiane looked at Scarecrow with some confusion. She didn't understand why Scarecrow chose to let Eliza try to contact M4. She herself was unsure of the implications of this contact.

But since they were on Renault’s spaceship, even if something went wrong, it was Renault's responsibility. She didn't need to worry too much. She just needed to follow Scarecrow to meet her two superiors.

Scarecrow didn’t say much. After arranging the whereabouts of the Griffin dolls, she led Gentiane and Kalina into the elevator and toward the guest room.

The dolls in Renault’s house were all busy with tasks on the spaceship or salvaging their own inventory. No one paid attention to Persica and Kryuger.

After all, the three of them were tightly bound in the guest room. What was there to worry about? If they fainted, they would just sleep.

With Scarecrow leading the way, Gentiane and Kalina didn’t encounter any difficulties. They exited the elevator and walked a few steps to the door of the guest room where Persica and the others were.

Not far away, many dolls and Sangvis Ferri members were busy packing their belongings.

"We're here. The spaceship made some maneuvers to avoid the military’s train cannon attack. To prevent the three humans from getting hurt on the ship, we first secured them all in the room with a restraint device."

Restraint device?

Gentiane, puzzled, wondered what kind of restraint device it was. But before she could think further, the door to the cabin opened, and a foul odor immediately hit her face!

"Ugh!" Kalina retched upon smelling the odor, and Gentiane frowned in discomfort.

When they saw the situation inside the room, Gentiane and Kalina’s faces darkened further...

Oh, this...

The first thing they saw was Persica, tied up with restraints and lying there with rainbows coming out of her mouth. Opposite Persica was Helian, who looked similar to Persica, and Kryuger was tied to a chair, with his head down as if he had fainted.

"Well, the situation was a bit urgent at the time, and this was indeed something we had not considered." Pinching her nose, Scarecrow shrugged helplessly and moved forward to check on Kryuger's condition.

Fortunately, Kryuger was not dead. He might have fainted because the shaking he felt when sitting was different from lying down.

But it was no big deal; they would just clean it up. This was not the first time they had done this. The supplies in the room were completely ruined, so they would be thrown into the incinerator and burned.

Persica and Helianthus had somewhat recovered by now, but they looked a little embarrassed.

When they saw Scarecrow, their eyes burned with anger, and they wanted to tear her in half.

It was this girl who had suddenly rushed in and tied them up! If they had known this, they might as well have run into each other and died!

Scarecrow shrugged, just staring at them without any sign of pain; it was no big deal.

"Mr. Kryuger? Mr. Kryuger? Are you okay?"

After leaving a few Rippers in chemical protective suits to clean the room, Scarecrow left directly. She had a lot of things to do and didn’t have time to stay with the guests.

Kalina also hurriedly stepped forward and shook Kryuger, trying to wake him up.

"Ahem! Ugh! What on earth is this... Um, Kalina and Gentiane, have you all managed to break out of the military's encirclement?"

Gentiane, who was untying Helian's restraints, nodded. "It can't be said that we broke out; it's just that Commander Renault and the others found a way to divert the military's attention, and we took advantage of this time to run to a place where the military's artillery couldn't attack, and directly boarded the spacecraft and escaped."

There was no direct conflict with the military throughout the whole process, so it couldn't be considered a "breakout."

"Is that so?" Hearing Gentiane say this, Kryuger immediately understood. Obviously, Gentiane hadn't obtained the collapse fluid bombs but had just escaped the military’s encirclement.

Currently, KCCO's combat forces had not been hit, and it was unknown whether those guys would stop their actions.

But even if they didn’t stop their actions, what did it matter? Carter and his actions would not last long. After all, their purpose was not to betray the country but to seize the life-saving technology of the relic.

"What about the two collapse fluid bombs that IOP dropped before?" Helian also asked, but she still looked a little uncomfortable, her brows furrowed.

"Well, the collapse fluid bombs should have been taken away by Commander Renault. Our location was a plain at the time. It was too late for the dolls to rush over..."

Only Renault and his dolls were faster than vehicles when they ran. Otherwise, they might not have been able to retrieve the two collapse fluid bombs before the military.

The two collapse fluid bombs hanging from Renault's waist were naturally very conspicuous, but Gentiane had not seen the detonator, so she did not ask any more questions.

"Huh, we miscalculated. We did not expect that this situation would occur after you evacuated from the original base." Kryuger sighed and took off his dirty clothes, handing them to the Ripper doll holding out a garbage bag next to him.

Kalina looked at the Rippers in chemical protective suits with a mix of laughter and tears.

Why hadn’t she noticed how strange these Sangvis dolls were before? It was just cleaning up some vomit. Was it really necessary to wear chemical protective suits?

Although Kalina didn’t understand, it was necessary for the Rippers because Sangvis Ferri Dolls couldn’t take a shower anytime and anywhere like Griffin’s dolls. The large metal parts on their bodies made it impossible for them to soak in water casually, and even showers were not allowed.

Being contaminated with unpleasant smells was a headache for these Rippers and Sangvis dolls. Because it was troublesome to clean, they had to clean their whole bodies.

"Hey! Stop chatting! Help me untie it too!" Seeing Kryuger and the others talking as if no one was around, Persica, who was also tied up, roared angrily.

"Uh, here I come." Hearing Persica’s words, Gentiane patted her forehead. She had almost forgotten that Persica was lying there.

As soon as she was untied, Persica jumped up and rushed into the bathroom next to her. She was not like Kryuger and Helian, who could sit there and talk calmly while smelling bad.

While washing, Persica felt a little resentful. She didn’t know what the AR team was doing now. Since they had come to Renault’s spaceship, hadn’t they come to see her first?

At this time, the AR team that Persica had been thinking about was reunited on Renault’s spaceship.

M4 and M16 were helping SOP2 and AR15 clean up the messy dormitory. They really hadn’t thought of Persica.

"Uh? M4, the Sangvis Ferri mastermind Elisa seems to be calling you on the public channel." SOP2, who was sorting out her personal belongings, suddenly paused and turned to M4 hesitantly.

AR15 also received the news but didn’t plan to mention it, as she didn’t have a good impression of Elisa.

Especially Dreamer on Elisa’s side, whom AR15 remembered had planted the Parapulei virus in her neural cloud without her knowing, which had led to her needing to flee from Griffin.

Although she was very satisfied with her life in Renault now, how could she just forget the past?

She had been directly slandered by Griffin as a traitor!

Although the T-Dolls didn’t think so, all the human employees of Griffin at that time had viewed her this way.

"Eliza? Why is she looking for..." M4 was initially stunned but then remembered the scenes she had seen in her mind before and the words Persica had said to her. She fell silent, hesitating whether to respond to Eliza.

"Hmm? What? Is there any problem? If you can’t figure it out, go ask Persica. Isn’t Persica on this ship now?" M16 waved her hand. It was convenient now. If there was any problem, she could just ask Persica directly.

If something went wrong, Renault would be there to back her up. She didn’t need to worry about so many things at all. It was really relaxing.

Can she go to Simonov to see if she had any good stocks later?

While saying this, M16’s thoughts drifted to the wine stored on the ship.

Chapter 36: Can I Regret It?

However, in the end, M16 still couldn't go to Simonov and the others to ask for wine because she was dragged by SOP2 to find Persica. On the way, she saw many pedestrians tidying up the messy dormitories.

Well, after all, even the dormitories of SOP2 and AR15 had become a mess, so the other doll dormitories must not be much better. And apart from the dormitories, she thinks that the other areas of the spacecraft are also in a similar situation...

Well, she hopes Simonov's wine cellar is not seriously damage...

When SOP2 dragged the AR team to find Persica, Persica had just run out of the bathroom. After seeing that M4 and the rest of the AR team had arrived, the resentment in her heart was slightly reduced.

After briefly greeting Gentiane, Helian, and the others, M4 hesitantly mentioned that Eliza was looking for her. Hearing this, Persica and the others all looked surprised, thinking that things were changing too fast...

They were fighting with Sangvis Ferri just a few days ago, but now... Boss of Griffin and the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind are on the same spaceship?

"Then, should I go see Eliza now? She seems to be in the cargo hold of the spaceship..." M4 hesitated, unsure of what would happen after she met Eliza.

If she guessed correctly, her neural coous had suddenly fallen into low activity because Eliza tried to connect with her by force, but she was sent to the spaceship, and the connection was interrupted.

When she was connecting, she also heard a voice completely different from Eliza's, but that voice disappeared directly after she arrived on Renault's spaceship.

However, she roughly knew why this was the case. SOP2 told her that Renault's spaceship could block all external signals. Only certified dolls and communication equipment could communicate with the outside world through the spaceship's signal repeater.

If nothing unexpected happened, the mysterious voice's origins are somewhere who can contact her with the help of the signal network at the bottom of the neural cloud. Now that Renault's spaceship blocked all external signals, the uncertified mysterious voice naturally could not appear in her mind.

This shielding only applies to signals outside the spaceship, and the internal signals are still fine. In other words, Eliza can still force a connection with her.

But... this is Renault's spaceship after all.

Even if Eliza is the mainframe of the Sangvis Ferri network, she is just living under someone else's roof at this time. Under Renault's nose, Eliza probably can't take the initiative to cause trouble.

...If she can, it would be a miracle!

Whether it's Eliza, Agent, or Dreamer, they all looked at the busy Rippers in the cargo hold in silence. These units they saw, at first glance, are definitely dolls made by Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing. Although they have changed their clothes, the identification codes on them cannot be faked.

Even so, they still cannot establish contact with these dolls as before, nor can they command these dolls, as if their high-level authority has completely become a decoration.

If it weren't for the fact that the Aegis and Manticore they brought with them could still obey their orders, they would have thought that Renault had silently taken away all their command authority.

Looking at Eliza, who had been standing there waiting for a response, Agent became a little impatient. Although Scarecrow appeared relatively respectful, she actually didn't care about Eliza at all.

What's waiting for a response... Isn't this just saying, 'Find a way yourself, I can't help you'?

There are so many Sangvis Ferri on the ship now, especially those Rippers who are busy cleaning the cabin, who come and go without even looking at Eliza...

Agent was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, but Dreamer found a place to sit down slowly, holding her chin and watching the Rippers come and go, thinking of Intruder who was kidnapped.

I wonder about Intruder... Oh, right! Scarecrow didn't say we have to wait here the whole time, right?

Thinking of this, Dreamer's eyes lit up. She squinted her eyes and looked at the cargo hold exit not far away. The elevator inside the spacecraft was in that direction. She wonders if she can go up?

While Agent and Eliza were not paying attention, Dreamer quietly stood up and followed a few Rippers into the nearest elevator, not noticing that her actions had been spotted by Judge beside her.

Dreamer had planned to follow these Rippers into the elevator, but she never expected that they had no intention of going back. They just took the elevator in the cargo hold to go up a floor and went from the bottom cargo hold to the hangar above.

Seeing this, Dreamer couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. She turned her head, looked at the elevator not far away, and hesitated about whether she should go over and try.

"What do you want to do? We are on Renault's spaceship now. Don't think about causing trouble for the Mastermind."

Just when Dreamer was about to take action, a voice suddenly sounded from behind her.

The sudden voice scared Dreamer directly. When she turned around, she found that it was Judge who had caught up with her at some point and was standing behind her, staring at her!

Just when she was about to comment that Judge walked without making any sound, Dreamer saw Judge's feet, which didn't touch the ground at all. She just used the anti-gravity system to float up... Wait? Can the anti-gravity system be used on this spaceship?

Noticing Dreamer looking at hed feet, Judge did not hide the reason and directly said, "I just saw Scarecrow using it, so I tried it. Although I don't know the exact principle, this spaceship can use the anti-gravity system."

Hearing this, Dreamer nodded and was about to say something when a series of knocking sounds came from the side.

Bang! Bang!

The Ripper knocked on the fuselage next to the gunship's cab with her palm and shouted, "Don't sleep! Get to work!"

Hearing this shout, Dreamer and Judge were both shocked.

It was not that they hadn't heard a Ripper speak before, but they had never heard the Ripper speak like this.

This tone, she's so arrogant? Aren't you afraid Renault's dolls will hit people?

Before the shock in their hearts had passed, the Ripper over there started to nag again.

"Really! You called us to work, but you're sleeping comfortably here! I'll write it in the report later. SPAS-12 eats and drinks all day and doesn't work!"

"Hey! Stop! I'm up now!"

SPAS-12, who had perfectly avoided the bumps on the boat with the help of the seatbelt in the gunship, jumped out of the gunship, rubbing her eyes while looking at the Ripper in front of her.

"Why are you alone? Where are the others? I remember I should have called ten people to help, right?"

Looking at the Ripper in front of her with her hands on her hips and staring at her, SPAS-12 asked in a daze.

The maintenance of the gunship is not a trivial matter, especially this time, as the external armor plate of the gunship was severely damaged. There were even cracks on the bottom, and the side armor plate was full of craters caused by shells. It can be said that the current gunship, except for the internal equipment, needs all the external armor plates replaced. This kind of task is not something she can do alone. If left to her, she might not be able to rest well this week.

"Where are so many people now? I could only come up to help because the cleaning work below is almost done. But Scarecrow said earlier that the repair work on this gunship isn't urgent. There's already a new one over there. This one can be repaired slowly."

Uh..

Hearing this, SPAS-12 immediately remembered the brand-new gunship on the opposite platform, now parked there with a shiny black luster.

But when she saw the gunship, she also noticed the two Sangvis dolls, Dreamer and Judge, standing not far away.

SPAS-12 scratched her head. "Uh, didn't they say we were going to test-fly the gunship? Now it's most likely not needed."

"Plans can't keep up with changes, and this time we didn't even use all the power armor. Okay, stop talking about these things, and hurry up and move the tools with me so we can get started!"

"Yeah, I know, don't push me."

Seeing SPAS-12 being dragged by the Ripper and half-pushed towards the maintenance warehouse, Dreamer and Judge didn't expect that the Rippers on Renault's ship had this kind of relationship with the dolls.

How did they manage it?

...

"Griffin's men are missing? The military's attempt to capture the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind has also failed? The collapse fluid bomb sent by the Security Bureau didn't explode? Hmm? This is really..."

It was a bit unexpected...

Whether Griffin's men disappeared or the collapse fluid bomb that didn't explode, it was not within his expectations. Only the military's attempt to capture Eliza failing was within his expectations.

But it doesn't matter. Anyway, his goal has been achieved. Although the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind was only briefly connected to the M4, the data gathered is completely sufficient.

This is enough to prove that his conjecture is correct!

After this, whether it's the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind Eliza or the M4 under Persica, it doesn't matter to him. He has already obtained the results of this experiment and proved his theory.

Besides that... Carter should still have some use...

"Go down."

"Yes."

"Wait, what about the Nyto, who was sent to Renault through Griffin? How its condition?"

"So far... no news..."

The empty room fell silent for a while. After a few minutes, the woman saw the other party waving his hand.

...

"Is there no more compromise? For example, half a month or something?" Angelica, who was lifted into the air by Renault through some unknown means, asked Renault unwillingly while lying on the operating table.

Renate, next to her, had changed into the same surgical gown as Renault. Although she was wearing a mask, Angelica could still see the girl's narrowed eyes. Obviously, the smile on her face must be extremely bright.

For Angelica, although the option of recovering in a day or two sounds better, it is hard to accept if she becomes inhuman directly. But a month is a bit too long, so a week is acceptable. But only 80% of her body is human? How is this 80% calculated? Renault didn't explain it clearly.

She is a little worried now. Will she turn into some strange alien after the operation...

So, if she can keep her physiological nature, but the time is a little longer, though not too long, such as half a month, she would still be happy to accept it.

Unfortunately, Renault has no time to deliberately improve medical methods for Angelica, because besides his T-Dolls, he only has animals, so he has never paid attention to medical-related equipment, whether it is various medical reagents or nanobots for medical needs

If he had these things now, Angelica's injury would be a matter of minutes, but unfortunately, he doesn't have them, and the industrial equipment on the spacecraft is not enough to support him in preparing these things.

To make them, he must first create the equipment, and then he can make those little nanobots that can save lives. It is conservatively estimated that it will take a month to prepare for this. The one-month option naturally refers to this method.

However, Renault also guessed that Angelica does not have the patience to wait for a whole month.

That is why she would not choose the one-month option. After all, she has never been someone who can patiently wait for the situation to change.

"If you are willing to wait for a month and provide some information, maybe I can come up with some safe treatment methods, but who told you not to wait?" Renault said as he waved to Renate.

Seeing Renault's action, Renate immediately smiled and handed over the anesthetic that had been prepared long ago. It was borrowed from MG3 and the Alchemist. MG3 originally bought it to use on animals.

Seeing this thick needle that was obviously not meant for human use, Angelica turned her head and looked at the saws, pliers, and other tools placed on the tray beside her. She was a little worried about whether she could walk out of this biological laboratory alive after falling asleep...

She's a little regretful now... Is it too late to change her mind now?

Just when she thought of this, Renault had already grabbed her arm and injected all the anesthetic into her...

It's over!

Chapter 37: Maybe Nothing Happened?

"So, you want to see her?" Persica sat on the sofa in the lounge, letting RO635 behind her blow-dry her hair with a broken hair dryer.

Although Persica was happy to see M4 bringing people to find her, she could tell that M4 had something on her mind, which was why she came back to find her.

Otherwise, M4 wouldn't have come to her to discuss these.

Hearing Persica say this, M4 pondered for a moment, then nodded firmly. Now is the best time to sever the entanglement between her and Eliza.

Not only was Persica there to provide technical support, but Commander Renault was also present to ensure her safety. She had no worries that Eliza would try anything.

"Then go ahead, but it's better to find Renault first and inform him about this. Otherwise, there's no guarantee that Eliza won't have any bad intentions." After saying that, Persica glanced at AR15 nearby. AR15 had worked with Renault, so she should know what Renault was doing now, right?

SOP2 and the others also turned to look at AR15.

Being watched by so many people, AR15 sighed helplessly. "Really, if you want to find Renault, just ask on the communication channel or at least make a call. I have no idea what that man is up to. As soon as he got back to the spaceship, he walked off without a word."

He left as soon as he came back?

Persica raised her eyebrows when she heard this.

Indeed, she hadn't seen Renault arrive earlier. The people in the guest room were all his clients, right?

After returning, he didn't even check on them. Wasn't he worried he wouldn't get paid if something happened to them?

As soon as AR15 finished speaking, SOP2 started asking Renault where he was on the communication channel.

And Renault's recent movements were no secret. They soon learned from a passing Ripper that Renault had gone to the room marked "Biological Laboratory."

"Biological laboratory? What is that? Do we even have this place on our ship?" SOP2 was confused when she heard this and had no idea what the Ripper on the other end of the communication was talking about.

"Is there? I remember it's not far from Renault's workshop, but it doesn't seem to be open to the public, and visitors aren't allowed inside."

SOP2 didn't remember it, but Persica did. After all, it was near Renault's workshop. When she went in and out of the workshop, she inevitably passed by it several times.

How could such a room with a sign but restricted access not arouse her curiosity?

SOP2 tried calling Renault again, but Renault was busy operating on Angelia and had no time to answer the phone. Renate noticed the phone ringing, but Renault waved her off, indicating she shouldn't leave the operating table to answer it.

Finally, M4 and the others decided to go to the biological laboratory in person. SOP2 wanted to knock on the door but was persuaded not to by Scarecrow No. 2, who poked her head out of the nearby workroom.

Although she didn't know what Renault was doing in the biological laboratory at that moment, since Renault didn't answer the phone, he must be busy. It was better not to disturb him.

"Is it really okay to let M4 contact Eliza of Sangvis Ferri?" Gentianene, who had followed them, looked at M4 standing at the door of the biological laboratory and couldn't help but ask Persica with some concern.

Although Kryuger and Helian didn't speak, they clearly had the same doubts.

"It should be fine. Although some deeper reasons are hard to explain, M4 and the other dolls of the AR team were all made from the same brain scan sample as a template. They share a similar basic nature with Eliza."

"Brain scan?" Hearing this term from Persica, Helian frowned. She had never imagined that the doll's mind was actually created based on a human brain scan template.

Kryuger knew a little about this. Although he was the boss of Griffin, which used tactical dolls as employees, he didn't understand the deeper principles. He only knew that Eliza, the Mainframe AI of the OGAS system of Sangvis Ferri, was created by Sangvis Ferri's chief engineer, Lycoris, using a brain scan sample.

However, he hadn't expected that Persica and Lycoris, two former classmates working in different organizations with different ideas about creating dolls, would end up thinking along the same lines...

As for the deeper reasons Persica mentioned... even if she didn't spell it out, Kryuger had already guessed it. It likely had to do with the well-known Relic Technology.

Since the Third World War, those relics, no matter where they were, had been strictly controlled by the powerful Relics Bureau.

This was to prevent incidents like the one on Beilan Island from happening again. Although the Relics Bureau tried to ban the use of Relic Technology, there were always those who sought to harness it for various reasons.

Carter was probably blinded by the power of the Relics. When he was young, he served in the army with Kryuger. At that time, Carter was very decent and firmly believed that Relic Technology and power shouldn't be abused.

Unexpectedly, after so many years, Carter had turned around and begun seeking the power of relic technology.

It was just that the Beilan Island incident, due to the reckless behavior of a few students, directly or indirectly led to a massive explosion in the ruins. The resulting collapse of radioactive dust and the ejected collapse fliud crystal lattice swept across much of the world.

And it was precisely because of this, coupled with subsequent relic incidents and the shrinking of green zones, that nations were drawn into a struggle over these areas.

If it hadn't been for this, the Third World War might not have happened.

"Hey? Mr. Kryuger? And Commander Gentianene? Why are you here? Are you looking for Ange?" Just as everyone was standing at the door of the biological laboratory, waiting patiently, AK12 approached with a few people from the team.

They knew that Ange had been sent to the biological laboratory, but they didn't know that she was currently undergoing surgery. Now that the spaceship was stable, as Ange's subordinates, they had come to check on her condition and ask what to do next.

"Ange? Angelia?" Hearing AK12's words, Helian's eyes widened as she looked up at the sign hanging on the door of the cabin in disbelief.

Although she knew Angelia was injured, she hadn't expected it to be so serious that she had to be sent to the biological laboratory.

"Uh, no? So, you're here to find Commander Renault?"

"Well, there are some things we need to discuss with him. Without his help, things might get a little tricky." Gentianene was certain that she couldn't manage the Sangvis Ferri side with just her words, even if her T-Dolls were already on the spaceship.

The gathering of people at the door inevitably distracted Renault in the laboratory. After speeding up his work, he quickly finished the operation on Angelia, placed her back into the culture tank, and walked out of the laboratory, still wearing blood-stained gloves.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" he asked as he took off the bloody surgical gown and handed it to Renate, who had been waiting for a long time.

Seeing the blood spots on the surgical gowns of Renault and Renate, both Persica and Gentiane were a little scared.

What on earth did they do to Angelia? Why did they end up like this?

Just seeing the blood stains on Renault and Renate instantly reminded Persica and Gentiane of some horrifying scenes.

Could it be that Renault had sawed Angelia into pieces?

"Well, Commander, if there's nothing else, I'll take these tools to clean up first." Just as everyone outside the door was speculating, Renate raised the bag in her hand and said this.

When Renate raised her hand, everyone saw the blood-stained tools in his bag: the blood-stained hammer, the blood-stained handsaw, the pliers dyed red...

Are you two performing a disassembly assignment on Angelia!?

Seeing this, even though AK12 believed Renault wouldn't harm his employer, she couldn't stay calm. She immediately opened his eyes wide and turned his head to look into the biological laboratory!

After opening her eyes, the most straightforward function of AK12 was that ahe could see far away. In addition, ahe could see through some not-so-thick objects.

Through the gap between Renault and the hatch, AK12 immediately saw Angelia, who had been thrown back into the culture tank.

Although there were more sutures on her body, it was clear that Angelia's life signs were strong, and it appeared that there was nothing wrong.

Seeing this, AK12 quickly raised her hand to stop AK15, who wanted to rush in past Renault. "Boss Renault, Angelia won't have any problems now, right?"

"It's okay, it's just a small operation. She'll wake up in two hours after the anesthetic wears off." And it doesn't necessarily take two hours; after his treatment and transformation, Angelia physical condition was simply amazing. With the help of the nutrient solution, she would be able to wake up shortly.

Of course, waking up is one thing; complete recovery from the injury is another.

"Anesthesia... anesthesia again? I remember that half an hour or an hour ago, Angelia was just shot with an anesthetic needle by PA15, right? If this keeps up, will Angelia become a fool when she wakes up?" RPK16 and Renate exchanged glances, and the smiles on their faces were exactly the same.

Ignoring RPK16, who was trying to stir up trouble, AK12 was relieved after seeing Angelia's condition. At least Renault hadn't lied to her. Although Angelia looked miserable, it was just an appearance. She had probably made some kind of deal with Renault again.

AK15 was a little anxious when he saw AK12 give in so easily. Ahe tried to go around Renault to see the specific situation.

However, Renault had already walked out of the biological laboratory, and the door behind him automatically locked. There was no need to worry about someone suddenly breaking in and breaking the culture tank next to Angelia.

The focus of this operation was mostly on the materials Renault used and the nutrient solution in which Angelia was soaking.

Although Renault didn't have any medical equipment at hand, he could only use these easy-to-make things. Medical equipment would still need to be available in the future, and it definitely would be. After all, except for RPK16, most of the others would also need to be replaced with biological material bodies.

It depends on whether the dolls are willing.

After that, AK12 and the others calmed down and planned to wait for Angelia to emerge at the door of the biological laboratory.

Renault turned to look at M4, Persica, and the others in front of him. "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Well, M4 wants to try to contact Eliza. If possible, could you help a little? Just accompany M4 to contact Eliza a bit..."

"Let's go, finish it early and rest early," Renault said before Persica could finish speaking.

It wasn't surprising that M4 had that an idea. Anyone who finds a doll that can be forcibly connected to themselves would probably have a little curiosity.

"Oh!" M4 hurriedly followed after hearing the call. She didn't expect Renault to agree so readily.

In fact, it was just a side trip. He hadn't checked the gunship that Scarecrow had recently made, and he needed to supervise whether SPAS-12 was working well.

When Renault, M4, and the others arrived at the cargo hold, the situation in the cargo hold was divided into two scenarios. One side was busy hammering away on the hangar platform, while the other side sat in the middle of the cargo hold in a very dull manner.

The appearance of M4 immediately brightened the eyes of Eliza and the agent, who were about to lose patience. Eliza even stepped forward without hesitation and ran straight to M4, who was walking in front.

Because Renault turned around to check the gunship after arriving, M4 was standing there and hadn't reacted yet. Eliza had already approached M4, staring at M4 with wide eyes, fearing that M4 would turn around and run away.

Seeing Eliza and M4 facing each other, Gentianene looked up at Renault, who was checking the condition of the new gunship, with some confusion.

That guy did not care about the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind at all. Is the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind less important than his gunship?

Seeing Eliza, who had stretched out her hand to M4 and expressed her hope to connect with M4, Renault shook his head, thinking that Eliza wouldn't gain anything this time.

It's just the connection between Eliza and M4, without any other factors affecting it. It's impossible for Eliza to find any useful information from it.

Chapter 38: Waiting for Maintenance

"What... what's going on? Why... is she gone?"

After connecting with M4 and actively sinking her mind to the bottom layer, Eliza soon discovered something different.

The previously vast space at the Third Level of her neural cloud was like been cut into small pieces, as if by a blade. Apart from herself and M4, there was nothing else.

M4 was also a little surprised by the changes in the Third Level of her neural cloud, but she would never casually sink to her neural cloud. At this moment, she was more concerned with the 'she' that Eliza mentioned.

Seeing Eliza's somewhat flustered expression, M4, who was still a little worried, immediately felt at ease. It turned out that Eliza, the Mastermind of Sangvis Ferri, was not omnipotent and omniscient after all.

She probably had some guesses about the 'she' Eliza mentioned. She had heard the unknown voice before, but now it appears that the voice was not something that existed at the Third Level of their neural cloud. It was just a person who spoke to them through the Doll's Third Level neural cloud's deepest channel...

But it was really unexpected that their neural cloud's Third Level would be like this. If it weren't for the fact that they were on Renault's spaceship, could this bottom layer actually expand to the size of the entire world?

Thinking of this, M4 shook her head and turned her attention back to Eliza, who was a little panicked in front of her. "So, what do you want from me?"

Whether it was the pursuit of the AR team in the S09 area or everything that was done to Griffin later, it's that there was always a clear reason.

...

Watching Eliza and M4, who stood still after shaking hands, Persica suddenly became a little worried. She was concerned that after M4 and Eliza connected, M4's neural cloud might undergo some negative changes.

But... since Renault over there is unconcerned, there shouldn't be any problem, right? Didn't he just promise SOP2 to help keep an eye on M4?

In fact, Renault was indeed paying attention to the situation with Eliza and M4, but not on the material level. Instead, he was using spiritual observation, which was not easy to do.

If the two little ones below were using a psionic connection, he could easily cut into their communication.

But dolls... their minds were completely digitized, and the Third Level of their neural clouds was made up of data. So, he could only stand at a distance and be a spectator.

Of course, there were still ways to forcibly cut it off, but it would be a little rough. However, Renault did not intend to do so because he was sure that the two dolls couldn't cause any significant trouble.

Based on the experience of Eliza and M4, they hadn't gone through much since gaining self-awareness, and they had been fighting each other most of the time.

M4 at least had the teammates of the AR team and the memories of Persica and Gentiane, but Eliza could be said to be a blank slate.

The inspection of the gunship didn't take much time, and Scarecrow and Rippers did a good job—at least more reliable than the dolls, and they were indeed professionals.

After turning his head to look at SPAS-12, who was still dismantling the gunship armor plate, Renault shook his head and walked down from the hangar above.

Seeing Renault suddenly approach, Agent immediately frowned, tensing up all over, ready to guard against Renault, who might take action at any time.

But Renault didn't come to disrupt the situation. He just got closer so that he could talk to these two little fools who didn’t know what to do after falling into the Third level.

"You two, don't just stand there stupidly. Since you've already got what you want, stop it, if you have anything to say or ask, hurry up; there are so many people waiting for you."

Both Eliza and M4 turned their heads in surprise at this moment.

They actually heard Renault's voice at the Third Level of their neural cloud! How is this possible!?

This is the third level of the doll's neural cloud. How could Renault, a human, have his voice transmitted here!?

"Commander Renault?" As soon as M4 turned her head, she saw the crimson figure beside her and the others. There was no definite appearance, just a vague figure standing there like a cloud of smoke.

Outside the mental space, Persica and Agent looked at Renault in doubt, not understanding what he meant by suddenly speaking to Eliza and Persica.

The neural clouds of the two must have sunk to the most deepest level. Their bodies were no different from being down at this moment. Even if someone shouted in their ears, they wouldn't react at all.

Ignoring everyone's gaze, Renault immediately responded to M4's question, "It's me. Eliza, have you found what you were looking for?"

Seeing Renault suddenly ask her, Eliza, at the Third Level of her neural cloud, nodded gloomily. "I have found it and got it."

But this thing is completely different from what she thought... It's just a gene fragment that is meaningless to her, or a digitized gene fragment. And since she is in doll at the moment, it doesn't matter whether she has this thing or not.

It doesn't seem to have any direct connection with the purpose she wants to achieve...

Instead, it is related to what the voice said...

"Then what else do you want to say? Hurry up; so many people are waiting for you two." After repeating the words just now, Renault nodded and withdrew directly from the bottom of their neural clouds.

It was really exhausting for him to interfere with the affairs at the Third Level of their neural clouds like this. If he hadn't just gotten two bottles of collapse fluid, he would never have done such a thankless thing.

After all, Eliza was as obedient as a child under his nose, so there was no need to worry that she would suddenly attack M4.

After all, Eliza probably didn't have a clear concept in her mind. Although most of Sangvis Ferri's actions were calculated, the methods were too simple.

"Just now... what was that?"

Outside the mental space, seeing the red light in Renault's eyes gradually dissipate, Persica immediately poked Gentiane's waist with some curiosity and asked her in a low voice.

Gentiane has dealt with Renault the most times and for the longest time, so she should know what's going on, right?

"I don't know either!"

And Gentiane's low shout simply expressed the thoughts of everyone present—except SOP2 and AR15. The two of them knew what the reason was.

However, the current situation did not allow Persica to continue asking questions, because Eliza and M4, after being reminded by Renault, did not continue to communicate at the bottom of their neural clouds. Instead, they directly cut off the connection and returned to normal.

The two of them had already connected their minds directly; what else was there to say?

"M4? You're back?" Seeing the restarted M4, SOP2's eyes lit up, and she immediately leaned over to check for any changes in M4.

However, what changes could there be? It was just a handshake with Eliza. If there were any changes, it would be really weird.

Agent also did the same as SOP2. It was clear that Agent really cared about Eliza's condition.

"Eh? Okay, SOP2, I'm really fine!" M4 forcibly held down SOP2's attempt to lift her clothes to check and shouted with a red face.

And when Eliza noticed that Agent was trying to follow suit, she immediately looked up and stared at Agent with dissatisfaction.

"Ahem, sorry, my mistake." Agent coughed lightly, noticed Kryuger and Renault standing not far away, and immediately put down his hand and apologized.

Seeing this, Kryuger blinked his eyes in confusion, as if to say, "Is it over? Is it over?"

To be honest, seeing the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind Eliza and Griffin's M4 standing together peacefully at this moment, Kryuger for some reason felt a kind of... how to say it... frustrated? Or annoyed?

Is the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind Eliza, who directly and indirectly caused the entire G&K to fall apart and even reached this point today, just asking for a simple thing?

...

At the entrance of the biological laboratory, Renate, who had disposed of all the medical waste like the surgical gowns, walked back and saw AK12 and several others gathered at the entrance, eagerly staring at her.

"Huh? You came really fast. I thought you'd have to wait a little longer before arriving." After stopping, Renate looked at AK12 but had no intention of opening the biological laboratory to let AK12 in.

As for why AK12 and the others couldn’t go in to observe since Ange had already entered?

Of course, it was because humans might hide things, but dolls couldn’t hide anything.

Thinking of this, Renate looked at RPK16 with a half-smile.

Seeing her gaze, RPK16 immediately understood, nodded as if realizing something, and smiled at Renate.

Seeing these two grinning and not talking, AK12 was immediately annoyed. "What are you two doing here?"

"Well, sorry, AK12, you can’t go in to visit for the time being." Renate spread her hands and said. If the contents of this biological laboratory were exposed, it would probably not only be the military wanting to cause trouble in the future.

"Tsk, I just saw it..." Hearing what Renate said, AK12 immediately pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Yeah, you must have only seen Ange, right? You didn’t see the others, did you?" Hearing AK12’s comment, Renate’s eyes suddenly revealed a dangerous glint. If AK12 saw something else, she might have to call Renault immediately to help clear AK12’s memory.

You have to know that her current body was created by Renault, and if this technology is known by others, she, a living... uh, doll, would definitely become a prime research subject in the eyes of those major forces.

She didn’t want to be treated as a research specimen before she had the chance to become human...

Although her current body is not actually very related to humans, at least she still looks human, right? And the operating principle of her internal organs is not much different from that of humans, right?

So, as long as no one makes a fuss, after she walks out, who could deny that she is a living person at this moment?

AK12’s mouth twitched at Renate’s question-like but affirmative words.

How did this person know... Could it be that what she just saw was just what Renault deliberately let her see so she would wait in peace?

Thinking of this, AK12 rubbed her eyebrows. "How long will it take for Ange to wake up?"

"Wouldn’t it be better to ask this earlier? It will take about two to three hours for her to come out of the jar, but she will need to stay on the ship for about a week. Her body needs time to recover."

"Well, it does take time... You said a week?" AK12 wanted to nod in response but suddenly realized that Renate mentioned "a week."

"That’s right. After a week, Ange will probably be alive and kicking. Don’t be scared by her then." Renate said with a sly smile. She had already imagined what AK12 and the others would look like after seeing Ange recover, with her physical fitness being comparable to, or even better than, that of a tactical doll!

"Oh, really, I’m a little jealous." RPK16 said, glancing in the direction of the biological laboratory.

Seeing the expression on Renate’s face, RPK16 guessed something. It must be Renault who modified Ange’s body. Otherwise, how could she be smiling so much?

"Oh, as long as you can convince Renault, he will definitely not refuse."

"Forget it, at least I’m not planning to change jobs now."

AN94 and AK15, who were standing nearby, listened to the conversation between AK12, RPK16, and Renate with confusion. They couldn’t understand what these three were talking about.

The incident at the entrance of the biological laboratory had no effect on the dolls on the ship. Angelia’s condition had nothing to do with them. Their current task was to clean up the mess inside the spaceship as quickly as possible and get the situation back on track.

The Sangvis Ferri dolls who had gone to the dormitories to fix themselves in the walls due to the turbulence of the spaceship now rushed out of their dormitories, along with a large group of Dinergates and Prowlers with missing limbs.

These unfortunate dolls and droids all rushed toward the workshop because only in the workshop could their damages be repaired.

Scarecrow No. 2, who stayed in the workshop, looked at the gathered dolls and Sangvis Ferris outside with a headache... It was full!

The key point was that two repair pods were broken! They couldn’t be repaired!!

Chapter 39: Finishing Work

The workshop on the spaceship is where Renault usually spends the most time. He has preemptively fixed the various equipment in the workshop to the walls and floor to ensure that even if the spaceship shakes, these items will not fly around.

Sometimes, even with the equipment fixed, they are not very useful. After all, these pieces of equipment were brought back by Renault from other places, rather than being made by him from scratch.

For example, there are two large holes in front of Scarecrow No. 2 and the repair pods has broken internal mechanical arms.

Scarecrow No. 2 can swear that she absolutely did not touch this equipment when the spaceship was shaking, and there are witnesses in the workshop, including a doll watching nearby. Although the person has no body, they did see it clearly through the camera.

The repair pod was damaged by the violent shaking of the spaceship!

Also damaged was the long-used printing device. The internal structure of this device was obviously similar to that of the repair pod, and it couldn’t handle the violent movement. Both Scarecrow and the dolls heard the clanging noise coming from the device.

"Is this the doll arm?" The Ripper sitting in front of Scarecrow asked Scarecrow No. 2 in surprise. Her arm was broken earlier, and she came to Scarecrow for repairs, only to find that Scarecrow had replaced her with a doll arm.

This arm is far from her original one! Her original arm was made of military-grade materials, offering strength and durability far beyond the current doll arm.

"There is no material available, and the printing equipment is broken. You can use this arm for now. When the equipment is repaired or spare parts are available, I will help you replace it with a new one, okay?"

Only one of the three repair pods is intact. Most repairs need to be done manually by Scarecrow No. 2. She didn't expect this. She thought that although she had assisted Scarecrow No. 1 in handling many tasks on the spacecraft, she was at least a small leader.

As a result, she is now likely trapped in the workshop, unable to get out. Looking at the endless line of dolls standing at the workshop door waiting for repairs, along with the restless Dinergates and Prowlers, she has become a full-time repairperson.

Next time she purchases, she must apply for special repair equipment! It would be better to let Renault buy a professional repair doll directly!

While she enjoys working and can't stand being idle, it doesn’t mean she likes sitting here repairing the hands and feet of a group of Rippers and Dinergates!

Fortunately, after Scarecrow No. 1 was done on the installation on the ship, she will return to the workshop to help. Otherwise, she would have quit by now.

Although the Rippers with their own minds complained about Scarecrow using second-hand parts to replace their damaged ones, they did not cause trouble for Scarecrow at this time.

After a few complaints, they left the workshop to adapt to their new arms and legs.

Moreover, compared to the original Sangvis Ferri parts, the doll parts obviously have an additional feature: touch simulation. The original ordinary Sangvis Ferris did not have this feature except for the torso.

Now that the doll parts have been replaced, the touch simulation modules inside these parts allow them to experience a sense of novelty.

While the two Scarecrows were busy with repairs, Renault had already returned from the cargo hold. Seeing the damaged equipment in the workshop, he couldn’t help but frown.

These IOP-produced repair pods had been damaged before, but this time even the outer shells were broken. Will they need to buy these fragile civilian products next time?

The military has found a way to attack the spacecraft. If nothing unexpected happens, this method will spread quickly, and those who see the spacecraft as a threat will soon be equipped with similar attack equipment.

Perhaps the spacecraft’s swaying condition will become a regular occurrence. It’s impossible for the spacecraft to scrap several repair pods every time it maneuvers, right?

"Commander, the damage to the Sangvis Dolls is quite serious this time." Scarecrow No. 1, who saw Renault return, immediately greeted him and reported the damage to the spacecraft.

Listening to Scarecrow’s report, Renault couldn’t help but feel a headache. If the damage to the Sangvis Dolls was this extensive, he dreaded hearing the reports from M1 Garand and others.

There are quite a few ordinary Sangvis dolls on board. After several replenishments, there are now at least 70 to 80 ordinary Sangvis Rippers, along with 40 to 50 other types of Sangvis dolls.

This time, at least 40% of the Sangvis were damaged, mainly those who have not yet awakened their self-awareness.

The damage to the Dinergates and Prowlers was even more severe. It can be said that everyone was injured. The Dinergates' chopstick legs and the Prowlers' four-wheeled feet were not designed to handle this situation at all.

Therefore, when the spaceship was tumbling, a large number of these damaged Dinergates and Prowlers suddenly appeared. Fortunately, these guys did not complain about the lack of new parts like the Rippers and other Sangvis dolls. If they couldn't be repaired for the time being, they would simply wait on standby.

"Repair what can be repaired, and put aside what cannot be repaired for now. I'll go see if the printing device can be salvaged. Didn't Nagant Revolver and the others bring back a lot of second-hand parts? Go see if those second-hand parts from the military dolls can be used. If they can be used, use them for the time being."

Waving his hands with some frustration, Renault went to the side to dismantle the cover of the printing device and tried to repair the internal printing head and mechanical arm.

Manually repairing these things is actually no different from doing needlework for him. It is time-consuming and laborious. If he couldn't find a replacement for a while, he would never manually repair these things.

...

Not long after Renault left the cargo hold, M4, Persica, and the others who had gathered there also left. After all, staying with a group of Sangvis Ferri really made them feel uncomfortable.

Especially the Boss of Griffin, who, looking at the Sangvis Ferris that behaved so honestly on Renault's spaceship, felt that the disparity between people in this world was a bit too much.

Why did he have to be attacked by the Sangvis Ferri, but when Renault came, the Sangvis Ferri behaved like children...

If Angelia knew what he was thinking, she would have given him a dirty look, because Griffin and the Sangvis Ferris have a longstanding grudge.

Gentiane did not leave the cargo hold at this time because the Griffin dolls were all staying there. The rest of the spaceship was busy cleaning and tidying up, making it too messy and unsuitable for the dolls to stay.

If the Griffin dolls went elsewhere, they would probably just make things worse. It was better to rest in the cargo hold first. Anyway, there were doll charging ports there, so there was no need to worry about them being unable to stay.

"Gentiane, how long are we going to stay on Renault's spaceship?"

"How long? I don't know. It depends on the boss's arrangement."

Although Kryuger looked a little discouraged, he was still very calm. Obviously, he must have some backup plan. Besides, since they could already find a way to throw two collapse liquid bombs onto the battlefield, it wouldn't be that difficult to find a way to keep Griffin from being wanted by the military.

While talking to Kalina, Gentiane also looked at Eliza of Sangvis Ferri. Since she had just disconnected from M4, the Sangvis Ferri's main brain, Eliza looked a little depressed.

Although it was unknown what data she and M4 had exchanged in their neural cloud, it was obvious that she was very depressed now, and Agent next to her was comforting her like a child.

The other two Sangvis Ferri elite dolls, Dreamer and Judge, did not have any concerns. Instead, they ran to the hangar platform and watched SPAS-12 and several Rippers welding armor plates together as if they were watching a show.

"I don't know why, but when I see the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind like this, I feel guilty, as if we were bullying a child before." Looking at Eliza sitting there with her knees hugged, Kalina scratched her cheek subconsciously and said to Gentiane next to her.

However, before Gentiane could respond, Kalina received a vicious look from Agent.

"Wow... So fierce..."

However, Agent's fierce look did not scare Gentiane, because this was Renault's spaceship.

Tsk tsk, who would have thought that even the Sangvis Ferri, which is so fierce to humans, would behave like good children after coming to Renault's ship? It seems that Renault's deterrence is really extraordinary.

However, it is meaningless to think about this now. After all, whether it is Sangvis Ferri or Griffin, they are all just small bugs under the military. The military could crush them all with just one move.

This time, it was just a team under Carter who attacked Griffin and Sangvis Ferri. Although it seems very powerful to Gentiane, in reality, this strength is probably just the tip of the iceberg of the military.

After all, this time, the artillery fire of the military's heavy troops did not even fall on their heads.

It's like the electromagnetic cannon on the military's train cannon used to attack spacecraft. If that thing hit the Griffin base, her entire base would probably be wiped out.

Even without mentioning these heavy weapons, the military's signal interference and the endless Cyclops are more than enough to overwhelm Griffin.

Since the military is so powerful, Gentiane really couldn't think of a possibility where Griffin could still receive commissions from the other party in the future.

Griffin's advantage is nothing more than the low cost of using tactical dolls, and the appearance of civilian dolls is more friendly, which helps avoid panic among residents.

However, this advantage has been reduced to nothing so far, not to mention that the affinity of civilian dolls has disappeared. Compared to the time period when Griffin first emerged, people nowadays are obviously not as resistant to dolls as before.

Besides, Griffin is a private enterprise and needs dolls with a good reputation and affinity to ensure that it can receive commissions without causing panic among local residents.

But the military is different. They're not here to do business. Moreover, if Griffin can use modified tactical dolls, can't military dolls be modified to look almost the same as civilian dolls?

It's not like such products don't exist...

The military has been using Cyclops only because the number of dolls like Cyclops is huge, and the cost has been suppressed. If it were replaced with other types of dolls in large quantities, it wouldn't be worth the loss for the time being.

Thinking of this, Gentiane looked at the dolls under her command who were lying or sitting against the wall, leaning against supply boxes and other places, and closed their eyes to rest. She couldn't help but sigh in her heart.

Although she has a lot of dolls, when it comes to large-scale cluster combat, firepower is still important. With her limited manpower, she can only fight small battles...

But security contractors cannot hold those heavy weapons. Whether others sell them or not is one thing, and becoming an illegal armed organization after acquiring them is another.

Although Griffin has the support of IOP, IOP is just doing business. The tactical dolls they have transformed are not only supplied to Griffin alone but are also purchased by private individuals and enterprises.

After all, it's normal for Griffin, a security contractor, to have customers who come for its reputation.

"Hey, Gentiane, don't you feel frustrated? We fought with Sangvis Ferri for so long before?"

"Huh? Frustrated? No, it's work, making money, what's there to be frustrated about?" Gentiane said as she sat down against the wall behind her, took out a cucumber, and took a big bite with a crunch.

"Uh, where did you get the cucumbers?"

"NZ75 gave them to me when I passed by the dormitory of CF05. Do you want one?"

"Uh, you're really popular..."

"No, it's just that NZ75 and her friends are tidying up the dormitory and there was no place to put these vegetables. If you don't want cucumbers, I also have tomatoes here." Gentiane said, and then took out two round tomatoes from another pocket and handed them to Kalina.

"Commander, I want to eat scrambled eggs with tomatoes..."

Before Kalina could speak, the doll noticed the tomatoes in Gentiane's hand and called out softly.

Chapter 40: Soak in the Jar for a While Longer

After the first one, there will be the second one. It is almost dawn now, and it’s nearly time for breakfast. Griffin dolls got up one by one, blinking their eyes and looking at Gentiane hopefully.

"Well, at this time... it shouldn’t cause trouble for Renault and the others, right?" Faced with so many hopeful eyes, Gentiane couldn’t bear to refuse and turned her head to look at Kalina for confirmation.

Kalina, however, wanted to roll her eyes at Gentiane at this moment. Is it useful to ask her this question? She doesn’t know!

But when they had just arrived with M4 and the others, the T-Dolls on the ship seemed very busy, coming and going, either packing up or cleaning up the garbage. The restaurant was even noisier... she can only go to the restaurant and ask. She just hopes that G36 on Renault's side is in a good mood...

Renault didn’t restrict Gentiane and these Griffin dolls from moving around the ship. Therefore, in addition to the bridge and the combat unit, the Griffin dolls could move around freely. In fact, Eliza could also do so, but she didn’t plan to move.

Of course, the power area was definitely off-limits, as even Renault's own dolls couldn’t enter.

When Gentiane and Kalina arrived at the restaurant, they happened to see Yulia pushing a flatbed cart with a large bucket on it, usually used for mixing dough. It was now filled with various broken porcelain pieces.

Obviously, these were the porcelain tableware usually used in the restaurant, but unfortunately, they had all turned into fragments.

"G36?" Seeing Yulia, who was also wearing a maid outfit and looked just like G36, Gentiane immediately waved and greeted her.

"Hmm? Hello, Commander Gentiane. If you’re looking for G36, she’s in the kitchen, counting the remaining supplies." After saying that, Yulia pushed the flatbed cart away. Those porcelain pieces needed to be disposed of as soon as possible.

"Hmm?" Gentiane tilted her head in confusion when she heard this. Wasn’t the one she just encountered G36?

Thinking this, Gentiane cast a puzzled look at Kalina beside her.

Kalina didn’t find anything strange and scratched her head. "It probably wasn’t G36, maybe just a doll of the same model." Although the other doll had the same temperament and almost the same appearance as G36, she was indeed more indifferent than the G36 under Gentiane's command.

"Same model?" Gentiane asked as she opened the door to the restaurant.

"Yes, most of Griffin tactical dolls are modified from civilian dolls. Except for some dolls with very special origins, other dolls must have the same model dolls, just like the Nagant Revolver—they're all modified from the same model doll."

The same model dolls may have different experiences, but because their personalities and actions are all fixed by the base root protocol, the weapons they can adapt to and imprint are mostly of the same type.

"What was G36's original model?"

"Huh? That should be written on the doll's employment report, right? How can I remember if you don’t remember?" Kalina scratched her head.

If it were other dolls, she might know, but G36? She heard she was a very popular butler doll among the rich and very expensive...

She just doesn't know how IOP was so cruel as to transform G36 into a tactical doll...

"Ah, G36!"

Every two steps, the two saw Sophia, who was helping Springfield, who looked miserable, clean up the glass counter.

Gentiane waved at her and greeted Springfield.

"Evening, ah, good morning, Commander Gentiane. This is Sophia. If you’re looking for G36, she’s over there. What can I do for you?" Springfield smiled and said when she heard Gentiane call out to Sophia.

"Eh? Ah, sorry."

Sophia, who was busy, also stopped what she was doing, looked up, and smiled shyly at Gentiane.

"Well, when we left before, most of the dolls at home only brought a few supplies, and the things at the previous Griffin base had been emptied, so I wanted to ask G36 if there was anything to eat."

Hearing this, Springfield nodded, but Sophia had already notified G36 immediately. After learning that Gentiane was there, G36 walked out of the kitchen, holding a pile of broken metal bowls, which she placed on the dining table outside.

"Good morning, Commander Gentiane. If it’s breakfast you’re looking for, it’s still being prepared. But because the equipment in the kitchen is seriously damaged, it may be slightly delayed." Hearing G36's words, Gentiane tilted her head and looked in the direction of the kitchen. Except for those dolls who had just returned from a mission not long ago, most of the dolls in Renault's crew were busy in the kitchen at this moment. However, the kitchen was still a bit messy, and it was obvious that G36 and the others had just started cleaning.

"Ah, oh, okay, but is there anything we can help with?" Gentiane nodded in understanding. It wasn’t good for her to just stand there waiting. If she could do something to help, she wouldn’t feel so embarrassed. After all, doing nothing made her feel like she was eating for free...

"Well, if it’s okay, Commander Gentiane, the spaceship is a bit short on manpower right now. Most of the Sangvis Dolls are seriously damaged, so there aren’t many who can help at the moment."

Most of the Sangvis Dolls have gone in for repairs. Whether they can be fixed or not isn’t the main concern. The ones still operational are either in the cargo hold or the warehouse, helping M1 Garland sort out the inventory.

As for the other T-Dolls, they’re busy in the kitchen, the vertical farm, and the breeding farm. G11 and the others have been sent by Renault to the factory to repair the metallurgical equipment, using almost every Doll available on the ship.

Because a lot of kitchen utensils were damaged and most of the tableware was scrapped, G11 also took over orders from G36 and G3, repairing some of the machines first, then making a batch of tableware for the Dolls to use. Although G11 was quite critical of this and didn’t want to do repetitive and boring work without any challenge, under G36's threat of withholding food, G11 reluctantly took Nagant Revolver and others to work.

What G36 wanted the dolls under Gentiane to help with was actually to move the finished tableware back from the factory.

Additionally, they were to retrieve some of the various materials needed for breakfast from the farm and vertical farm. It’s not a difficult task; as long as you have hands, you can do it.

The kitchen also provided a cart for carrying goods, and the loading and unloading would be done by Renault's dolls. It’s a very simple task.

After leaving the restaurant, Gentiane immediately instructed the dolls under her to get moving.

Even though they had been working all night and hadn’t had a proper rest, they were still capable of completing this small task.

...

"Kryuger and the others have already escaped? That’s good. You said the collapse fliud bomb was taken away? It didn’t explode? Well, that has nothing to do with me. I’m just an honest businessman." Havier listened to the phone, his expression unchanged.

Although he had guessed this would be the outcome, he didn’t expect Gentiane, Kryuger, and the others to actually escape.

Getting directly onto Renault's spaceship and then escaping from the military’s encirclement by taking to the sky is almost like cheating. This kind of maneuvering is probably something only Renault could pull off.

He’s really an unpredictable guy. Renault’s involvement will definitely disrupt many of the old people's plans in this operation. It’s safe to say that Renault’s future won’t be too peaceful.

With a spaceship in hand, many will likely have their eyes on Renault. If the Bureau of State Security was suppressing about Renault's matter quietly before, it’s not so certain now.

"Forget it, it’s useless to dwell on it. It’s better to quickly pass the matter to Kryuger and let him worry about it. I don’t know when they’ll be able to return to the original headquarters." But it’s probably unlikely... If Griffin hadn’t evacuated from the base at that time, it might have been possible to reclaim it now... But now, I’m afraid the military has already taken control of that headquarters...

...

"Captain, orders from above—suspend all actions." A soldier rushed in, a bit panicked, and shouted directly at Yegor, who was sitting there, having his arm treated by a military doctor.

Hearing this, Yegor sighed dejectedly. They didn’t manage to catch up in the end. However, this may have something to do with his previous failure. If he hadn’t lost so thoroughly after encountering Renault, the upper echelons might have hesitated a bit before making a decision.

But now, not only did the army fail to completely wipe out Griffin, but even the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind, Eliza, whom they wanted to capture, had taken aboard Renault's spaceship.

And Renault’s spaceship usually flies at an altitude of at least tens of thousands of meters.

At that altitude, it’s difficult for the military air force to track Renault’s exact location. Even if the location is found, it’s almost impossible to cause any damage to Renault’s spaceship.

The air force’s attack methods have limited impact on Renault’s spaceship, and it’s very likely to encounter collapse particle clouds in the sky. The safety of flight equipment can’t be guaranteed, and missiles would also be interfered with by the collapse particle clouds.

The army’s railway cannons are powerful and have sufficient range, but... the manual aiming system has its limits. Even if the electronic system can assist aiming to a certain extent...

But if they can’t even observe the target directly... they are powerless. After all, these days, no one can guarantee what the radar detects at high altitude. It could be the target, or it could be just a balloon that drifted high up, or even just a mass of air.

After a moment of silence, Yegor sighed, "Get ready. We may have to rely on ourselves for what comes next."

...

"Don’t peek. If you do, be careful, or Renault might come and snatch you away from Ange."

Watching Renate standing at the door of the biological laboratory, looking back every few steps to "dissuade" herself from peeking, AK12 really wanted to raise her fist and punch this troublemaker!

Just say it once and be done with it! Why keep repeating it? Are you afraid you haven’t piqued her curiosity enough?

As AK12 thought about this, she turned her head and looked at RPK16, who was pretending to be indifferent and looking at her phone. This girl... clearly has the same mindset, but why... does it seem like Renate, who used to be RPK16, has become naughtier since coming to Renault?

Although Renate said before that Angelia might need two to three hours to wake up, the specific situation still depends on Angelia's condition.

The duration of anesthesia may be shortened due to Renault’s transformation surgery, so it’s possible Angelia could wake up early.

Renate needs to go in now to keep an eye on her, preventing Angelia from moving around and injuring herself when she wakes up.

Seeing that AK12 not only didn’t peek but even turned her back, Renate shrugged her shoulders, and AN94 and AK15 followed suit. However, RPK16’s eyes darted around, as if she was hesitating whether to take a look.

But in the end, she gave up. Now isn’t the time. The previous RPK16 had a problem not long ago. If she gets involved in any secrets now, Statesec might force her neural can to be wiped during the next inspection.

It was likely the same for the last RPK16. The current RPK16 is now equipped with the same self-destruct device used by military Dolls, to prevent her from acting as self-centered as before.

Even Angelia herself didn’t know about this...

At this moment, Renate opened the hatch of the biological laboratory and walked in. She looked up at Angelia in the culture tank and found that she still had her eyes closed, with no sign of waking up.

"Well, it seems that Renault used a lot of anesthetics earlier. She might need to stay in this jar for another hour."

As if she heard Renate's mumbling, Angelia in the culture tank suddenly opened her eyes just as Renate finished speaking.

Chapter 41: Very Casual

"Quick, let me out," Renate read Angelia's words, enunciating each one carefully.

Unlike Renault, Renate couldn’t read Angelia's thoughts without her speaking, so she had to interpret what Angelia was trying to say by reading her lips.

Of course, anyone soaked in a culture tank full of viscous liquid would probably be saying the same thing.

Seeing Angelia’s increasingly frustrated expression in the tank, Renate decided to stop teasing her and immediately opened the top cover of the culture tank. At the same time, she released the restraints holding Angelia, allowing the nutrient solution to drain out from the bottom.

"Don’t worry, you’re very fragile right now. You don’t want to break any bones after the operation, right?"

As soon as Angelia was placed back on the operating table, she tried to turn sideways. Renate quickly reached out to hold down the restless girl.

Renault had briefed Renate on the necessary precautions before leaving the biological laboratory. Angelia’s current state wasn’t much different from Renate’s after her own transformation, and because Angelia had undergone postnatal modifications, her body was especially fragile the sooner she woke up.

If Angelia could be patient and soak in the culture tank for a few more hours, she might be able to move immediately after getting out. But now, less than an hour had passed since the operation was completed.

Initially, Renault had estimated that Angelia would sleep for two to three hours, but who would’ve thought she’d wake up after only about an hour?

It wasn’t impossible, but it did suggest that Angelia's recovery rate after the transformation was remarkably fast.

To be on the safe side, Renate thought it would be best to follow Renault’s instructions and give Angelia a physical examination first.

If she passed, she could walk out on her own; otherwise, they’d have to wheel her out on a stretcher.

The spaceship was relatively stable at the moment, so there was no concern about any sudden movements knocking people around.

"Huh, this was a really bad experience, but... this..." Hearing this, Angelia, who was lying on the operating table, obediently lay back down, though she still raised her arm to examine her now-intact hands.

That’s right—her arm, which had been rendered useless due to the damaged prosthesis, had been restored to its proper state. And it wasn’t a mechanical prosthesis, but a real arm, with flesh and blood.

To be honest, Angelia had never expected to see this. She had thought Renault would only be able to heal her broken bones, but she never imagined he’d be able to regrow her arm...

No wonder Renault could create a living body for Renate... This technology... If those guys at the Relics Agency found out about it, they would stop at nothing to get to Renault, wouldn’t they?

Transplanting a doll's neural cloud into a living body... If this technology could be used on humans, wouldn’t it be the key to true immortality?

It has to be said that even Angelia was tempted by the thought, but she quickly pushed aside these unrealistic ideas. Now was not the time to dwell on these things.

Though she was still a bit puzzled about how Renault had managed to give her a real arm again, Angelia tilted her head to look at Renate, who was monitoring the instruments. "How is it? Can I leave now?"

"Not yet. The bones in your body are still in an accelerated healing state, and because you came out of the nutrient solution early, you should be feeling something now, right?"

"Feeling? What feeling?" Angelia raised her eyebrows. If Renate hadn’t mentioned it, she wouldn’t have noticed it. She actually felt great at the moment—whether it was the dull pain from PA15’s operation or the vague phantom pain in her previously broken arm...

At this moment, all of it had disappeared, and she felt so light she could jump up from the operating table at any moment.

"Hmm? Really? Even if Renault's transformation was successful, it wasn’t without cost, especially since you left the culture tank early. You know, the liquid in that tank was the nutrient solution prepared by Renault, so... understand?"

Gurgle!

As soon as Renate finished speaking, Angelia, lying on the operating table, heard a loud, thunderous sound.

Judging by the direction it came from, there was also a faint vibration...

Did Renault install a speaker in her stomach!?

Angelia stared down at her abdomen in disbelief but found no speaker. Her stomach was completely empty.

Gurgle!

"Heh, stop looking. It’s just your stomach growling. Can’t Angelia, a member of Statesec, even recognize hunger?" Renate chuckled as she adjusted the operating table, allowing Angelia to sit up.

Suddenly, Angelia realized that her stomach was burning with hunger. After sitting up, before she could say anything, Renate handed her a cup of thick liquid.

"What’s this?"

"It’s nutrient solution. It’ll temporarily relieve your hunger. It’s not mealtime yet, and the spaceship was damaged earlier. I’d guess G36 and the others are still busy sorting out the kitchen utensils."

She frowned. Although this cup of what Renate called nutrient solution didn’t have a strange smell or any color, it was slightly sticky. Angelia still found it hard to accept psychologically, but her instincts urged her to 'drink it.'

She took the cup and sipped it. Finding that it tasted quite unpleasant, Angelia tilted her head back and downed the large cup of several hundred milliliters of nutrient solution in one go.

When Renate saw that Angelia had finished the whole cup, she smiled mischievously. "Guess where that nutrient solution came from?"

Angelia, who had just started feeling a bit relieved from her hunger, immediately felt her face darken.

This girl! Can’t you just finish a sentence in one go!? And... this nutrient solution...

Thinking this, Angelia turned her head to look at the now-empty culture tank...

Could it be...!?

...

"Okay, this should be enough." G11 looked at the number of stainless steel basins coming off the production line and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Commander Gentiane, please move these over. We still have some finishing work to do here." Nagant Revolver and her team moved the polished stainless steel basins onto the flatbed truck before hurrying back to the equipment still under repair.

From the factory, they received... well, a bunch of basins, spoons, shovels, and other items that were probably supposed to be tableware. Gentiane was a little dumbfounded; this was a bit different from what she had imagined...

Aside from more than 30 large basins about the size of a child’s bathtub, most were stainless steel basins the size of bowls.

"Well, Type 80, is that it? No, uh, plates or anything?" As her dolls pushed the supplies away, Gentiane called out to Type 80, who was busy pushing a steel column.

"Hmm? Yes, G36 said the situation is urgent, so we’ll have to make do with these for now. Anyway, many of the kitchen utensils were broken, so I’m afraid we’ll be eating out of big pots for a while until they’re repaired."

Type 80 waved her hand dismissively. She had no particular preferences; she was just looking forward to the big pot meals. The taste wasn’t bad anyway, so it would be a nice change.

As they left the cabin where the factory was located, they bumped into the dolls sent to carry the ingredients. Maria and Destroyer led the group of Griffin dolls, nearly all of whom were dragging flatbed carts.

The carts were piled high with all kinds of vegetables and meats, and judging by the bright red color of the meat, it was clearly freshly processed.

"Does Renault eat this luxuriously every meal?" Although Kalina had known for a while that Renault had vertical farms and breeding facilities, she could never have imagined the cost of each meal was almost as much as their last supply purchase.

In chaotic areas, weapons and ammunition are often not the most precious and expensive items—what the dolls were towing on those carts definitely were.

"And... the vertical farms and breeding facilities on Commander Renault’s ship can’t be that big, right? How can they support so many dolls eating and drinking every day?"

Although Renault’s spaceship looked large at first glance, it wasn’t very long, and its width was only about half its length.

The reason the spaceship appeared so massive was its height, which was about 40 meters, plus its square shape, making it look like a behemoth.

As they walked along, they saw that the cargo hold had already taken up a large area. In addition, there was the spacecraft’s power area, the doll living quarters, and the warheads, which were off-limits. There didn’t seem to be much space left.

"How should I know? Why don’t you ask Renault?" Gentiane snapped at Kalina.

Is that something you should ask? That’s obviously a commercial secret, right?

"Well, forget it." After being glared at by Gentiane, Kalina realized there must be some secret involved. Otherwise, Renault wouldn’t be able to sustain this level of consumption for three meals a day.

Moreover, in addition to this daily consumption, Simonov and the others on Renault’s side could actually produce extra crops for winemaking... That’s outrageous...

If vertical farms around the world could produce as much as Renault’s, then... it still wouldn’t matter. Even if they did, no one would sell it at a low price. After all, the electricity consumed by vertical farms is a cost too.

Just as the two were about to follow the dolls to the restaurant, two figures full of resentment "floated" past them like ghosts. The sheer resentment emanating from them made the two shiver.

"Uh, that’s... RFB and Ouroboros? What happened to them?"

"Nothing, it’s just that more than 80% of their inventory was damaged, and now they’re trying to figure out how to recover their losses from the military." Alchemist said as she passed by Gentiane and the others, carrying a large rack of ribs.

The Alchemist’s sudden appearance startled Gentiane and Kalina. But before they could react, she had already walked past them without any intention of stopping to chat.

"The Sangvis Alchemist... has she changed careers to become a butcher now?" Kalina muttered under her breath as she watched Alchemist walk away.

"Shh, keep your voice down, dolls, after all, have very good hearing." Just when Gentiane couldn’t think of a response to Kalina’s muttering, a voice spoke directly into their ears!

"Ah!"

This time, the two were even more startled than by Alchemist earlier. At least she had just been standing behind them, while the girl who spoke this time had her face right next to their ears!

"Haha! Don’t be so nervous. Long time no see, Commander Gentiane." Intruder said with a smile, saluting with elegant posture while speaking, though the two baskets of eggs in her hands looked out of place.

"You are... Intruder?" Looking at the black-haired doll in front of her, Gentiane thought for a moment before matching the face to a doll from her memory: the Sangvis Intruder. Among Griffin dolls, no one else spoke in that tone.

"That’s right. I didn’t expect you to remember someone as insignificant as me. But we’ll catch up later. I need to get these to the kitchen quickly, or G36 and the others will keep nagging me." Intruder waved her hand and left at a brisk pace.

Gentiane and Kalina looked at each other, then turned back to check if there were any other dolls behind them. Seeing none, they immediately trotted toward the restaurant.

Just kidding—who knows which Sangvis doll they might encounter if they lingered around here. If they ran into one with a grudge, they might get beaten. Gentiane knew Renault’s dolls weren’t restricted by any root protocol agreements.

It wasn’t until they had hurried back to the restaurant and saw the Griffin dolls idling there that they breathed a sigh of relief. Although they knew their own T-Dolls were no match for Renault’s, they at least felt a bit safer.

Chapter 42: Does Leisure Make People Confused?

"It's time to eat! It's time to eat!"

With M870’s shout and the sound of the stainless steel basin they were using as a gong, a group of dolls waiting in the restaurant rushed forward!

Of course, all the dolls who rushed forward were from Renault. The dolls of Gentiane and Griffin were stunned by the scene in front of them, which looked like zombies emerging from a cage. They didn't dare move forward for a while.

"Don't they have food to eat normally?" M9, who was standing next to Gentiane, asked in amazement after seeing this scene.

"How is that possible? Didn't you see that they all eat out of basins? They’re clearly rich people and have no shortage of money," M16 replied, coming out from behind M9, holding a bowl full of food in one hand and a wine pot in the other. It was obvious that these had been stolen from Simonov.

"Hey! M16! When did you get here!?"

Seeing the bowl full of rice in M16's hand, Gentiane and M9's eyes almost popped out. They hadn't noticed when M16 had mixed into the crowd of people getting rice in front.

"M4! M4! RO! Come on, come on!" Just as they were surprised, SOP2's shout suddenly rang out.

SOP2's very recognizable voice immediately attracted the attention of Gentiane and a group of Griffin dolls.

SOP2 and AR15 had just squeezed out of the crowd, holding a bowl in each hand. Obviously, they had already helped M4 and RO get rice, and the AR team was complete this time.

It made Gentiane feel a little uncomfortable... You two, since you can squeeze to the front to get rice, at least think about me as your boss, okay?

Gentiane had the same thought as Persica, who had just arrived not long ago.

"Ugh! I'm so jealous!" Seeing SOP2 and AR15 happily joining M4 and the others, Persica felt a pang of envy and wanted to rush up to SOP2 and AR15 to ask where his share was.

Of course, G36 wouldn't sit idly by while Gentiane and Persica squeezed together with the dolls to get food. When she saw Gentiane and Persica standing behind the dolls, she immediately asked NZ75 to come over and lead them aside.

G3 was placing dishes on the table, and Kryuger and Helian had already sat down.

AK12 also came over with Angelia in a wheelchair.

"Hi." Angelia waved to them awkwardly. After all, she was the only one in a wheelchair among those present.

"You look... huh? Your hand?" Seeing that Angelia was still willing to wave and say hello, and that her complexion looked good, Helian nodded in relief but soon noticed that Angelia now had both arms, no longer the one-armed agent she had been before.

"Oh, this? Renault did it. I thought his treatment was just to help me set the bones."

Raising her left arm, Angelia said this, but AK12 behind her raised her hand and gently pressed her arm down. "You'd better not move around in your current state. Don't say we didn't warn you when you start growing deformed."

"Uh, no, that's just Renault fooling you." Hearing AK12 say this, Angelia sighed helplessly. This girl, how can she not tell the difference between a joke and something serious at a time like this?

"No, no, I don't think that's a scam. For safety reasons, I'll feed you. Come on, ah——"

AK12 said, and picked up the chopsticks in front of Angelia, lifting food and placing it into Angelia's mouth.

Watching the interaction between the two dolls in front of him, Kryuger felt that he couldn't quite express his old complaints, and he was simply uncomfortable all over...

But now Gentiane, Helian, and Greena were all present, and Persica had already started eating quietly, so Kryuger could only pull the dough and pick up the bowl to concentrate on eating.

After making the arrangements, G36 also calmed down the dolls at home who were causing a fuss, then made room for Griffin’s dolls to come.

Fortunately, G36 and G3 had long expected that the dolls at home would definitely get a little crazy after seeing so many dolls, so the amount of food prepared this time was very generous, even accounting for the Sangvis Mastermind.

Besides, Agent had prepared everything in advance. Eliza was already sitting there with a spoon in her hand.

Eliza, who had just been pulled out of her autistic state by Agent, looked at the rice bowl and plate in front of her blankly.

"Why do we need to eat? We just need to charge." Looking up at Agent standing beside her, Eliza asked puzzledly.

"Master, everyone needs to eat."

Hearing what Agent said, Eliza tilted her head. Seeing that Agent closed her eyes and had no intention of continuing to explain, she could only frown and look down at the twice-cooked pork in front of her, worried... For such a large piece of meat, isn't this spoon a bit small?

In fact, Agent was relieved. She didn't know why, but when she saw all the dolls on Renault's ship so keen on eating, she suddenly recalled that Eliza had never eaten a meal when she was at the Sangvis Ferri base...

One reason was that Eliza had never asked for it, and the other was that the factories and bases built by Sangvis Ferri were all located in polluted areas. In these places, there were few or no ingredients for cooking.

Even after they captured part of Griffin's security management area, Sangvis Ferri never considered eating.

Most of the Sangvis Ferri dolls, like the basic type such as the Ripper, didn't have bionic modules for decomposing food installed from the beginning, and military dolls didn't need this function at all.

As for Sangvis Ferri's Ringleaders, like the Griffin dolls, they were equipped with most of the bionic modules because the elite dolls were the commanders of Sangvis Ferri, and they inevitably had to deal with human employees frequently. Some bionic modules also helped them interact with human employees more naturally.

Well, this may have been Lycoris's idea, or he may have done it casually. Anyway, the person is gone, and there's no way to ask the reason—unless Lycoris had the habit of writing a diary.

While the two Sangvis Ferris were interacting in daily life, UMP40 was not far away, eating and staring at them.

"What are you staring at absentmindedly?" UMP45's voice suddenly sounded from behind UMP40. As UMP45 spoke, abe leaned her head over to look in the direction UMP40 was staring.

"Ah, really, 45, don't suddenly speak and scare people, okay?"

"It's obvious that you weren't paying attention at all. But what's so interesting about Sangvis Ferri's Eliza and Agent? It's not like I haven't seen them before." UMP45 said as she sat down, pulled the covered meal next to UMP40, and picked up the chopsticks to start eating.

"No, no, no, I'm recording the changes in the mental model of the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind. It's serious, okay? So, you're back now? Has WZ.29 gone back?"

"Come on, when did you start being interested in this? It's time for Renault to find another serious pilot. Now the bridge is almost becoming WZ.29's exclusive living room."

The most important thing is that every time she goes to the restaurant, she has to take over...

"That's easy. You know the neural cloud in the workshop?"

"Oh? That's the unlucky one who came to the ship for so long and still hasn't gotten a body?"

"Well, now that you put it that way, she really is unlucky, but she's a professional transport pilot anyway. With a little training, she should be able to..."

"Stop! Stop! This isn't a problem that can be solved with a little training. Have you forgotten the violent shaking of the spaceship before?"

Hearing what UMP45 said, UMP40 was stunned. Indeed, not all pilots can maneuver a large spaceship to avoid the artillery fire of the train cannon... WZ.29 usually looks like a quiet girl, but who would have expected her to have such skills? She’s really a hidden talent!

"That's right..."

"So, not everyone can pilot a spaceship. Whether that doll can be competent as a spaceship pilot will depend on Renault making a body for her," UMP45 nodded and said.

Well, that’s the excuse. The fact that she failed to pass all the tests in the pilot training course was definitely not because she wasn’t good enough!

"Besides, being a pilot is a high-risk job now. Didn’t you notice that WZ.29 didn’t dare stay in the restaurant too long? The loss of dolls this time was too great. WZ.29 was probably afraid someone might put a sack over her head while she’s walking down the road."

While UMP40 and UMP45 were chatting, Maria and Destroyer were eating at a table not far from them, all the while being stared at by Dreamer and Judge, who were sitting opposite them. Since getting their meals, those two had been staring intently.

"I say, what are you two doing here? If you have something to say, just say it." Maria couldn’t help but speak first. If they were just here to eat, that’d be fine. But the way these two kept silently staring was unnerving.

Would it ever end?

"How does it feel to work under a human commander?" Dreamer narrowed her eyes and asked, tilting her head to look at the Destroyer next to Maria.

"Woo, gulp! Eh? Not bad? There’s food and drink? The work isn’t a hassle?" Destroyer responded nonchalantly after taking a big gulp of juice. After all, life here with Renault was completely different from life in Sangvis.

Seeing Destroyer so content that sbd didn’t want to leave, Dreamer and Judge both sighed, their eyes reflecting the headache this situation was causing them.

It’s really troublesome not having command authority... What means did Renault use to change the command sequence for Sangvis dolls?

While Dreamer was grappling with this issue, Gager not far away was also having a headache. From the start, Architect had been muttering, fearing that Eliza might forcibly take her back to Sangvis.

"Can you eat in peace? Is it really useful to worry so much about this kind of thing?"

In the end, Renault won’t let anything happen. What’s the use of worrying so much? Isn’t it better to just eat?

"Hey! Don’t say that! What if... what if the mastermind suddenly calls us?"

"No, if the mastermind wanted to act, it would have done so already." Although Eliza appears confused, in reality, she’s always in a hurry when doing things. If she wanted to do something, she’d start immediately without hesitation.

And now, the fact that the mastermind is sitting there, eating with a spoon like everyone else, proves that she isn’t going to do anything out of line on Renault’s ship.

"Is that so? Then I’m relieved." Gager’s reasoning seemed to convince Architect, who calmed down and began to eat, though she still appeared somewhat distracted.

The dining time in the restaurant didn’t last too long. Most of the dolls quickly finished their meals and hurried off to return to their own quarters.

Persica and Angelia did not leave the restaurant immediately but went to Springfield, who was repairing the hand-cranked grinder while lazily leaning on the bar.

"Huh, everything is good here at Renault, but the atmosphere is a bit too loose." After eating and drinking, Angelica felt sleepy and sighed as she watched the dolls casually going about their business.

"What’s wrong with being loose? Look at them now. If you didn’t know them, could you even tell if they were dolls or humans?"

Persica was also feeling sleepy. She lay down on the bar that Springfield had just assembled not long ago, turning his head to observe the dolls under Renault’s care.

"This..." Hearing this, Angelica was stunned. She then looked at Persica with a complicated expression. She now understood why Persica was able to create the unique dolls of the AR team.

This woman is the same kind of person as Lycoris...

They both want to create dolls indistinguishable from humans, but the technology they use is slightly different from Lycoris's. However, the different technology cannot erase the fact that they share the same goal.

"Well, to be honest, I don’t want to continue anymore. It appears that Renault had the corresponding technology a long time ago, and it’s completely different from the original ruins technology."

Hearing this, Angelica’s sleepiness was immediately swept away. Persica’s words scared her. Did she really just hear Persica say she wanted to stop?

"Hey, Springfield, how do you feel after Renault helped you clean up the root protocol?" Persica asked curiously, looking at Springfield, who was busy with her hands, while resting her chin on them.

Chapter 43: Hesitation

"Okay, if you feel okay, stand up and take a few steps." After welding the last point, Renault patted the Dragoon lying on the workbench.

Perhaps because the Dragoon is a model specially designed for driving vehicles, its limbs are obviously not as strong as those of the Ripper and the Vespid, which rely on a pair of legs to move.

"Oh." The Dragoon responded a little confusedly, then jumped off the workbench and took two steps on the ground. The two legs, with their different appearances, looked really eye-catching.

Renault did not have the original parts of the Dragoon, so most of the components replaced by these Sangvis dolls were various doll parts that Nagant Revolver and the others had picked up earlier.

It’s not impossible to fabricate parts on-site, but the problem is that the printing equipment is broken right now and can’t be relied on until it is repaired. Even if they could make spare parts, they would be the kind used by dolls at home, but the weight isn’t something the original Sangvis dolls' bodies can support. The extra energy consumed by the weight would make it impractical. Even if the energy cores of these Sangvis dolls were burned out, they still wouldn’t be able to carry them.

"Okay, go back for now, and come back after the repair warehouse is fixed."

"Yeah." The Dragoon nodded, glanced at Scarecrow who was dismantling the mechanical arm in the repair warehouse, and then walked out.

"Commander, all the damaged dolls have been repaired. The only ones left are these little guys." Scarecrow No. 2, relieved, noted that dozens of Sangvis dolls had arrived for repairs, and even dolls would get tired.

"Well, these little guys take their time, so they don’t have to run around the spaceship all day."

This referred to the small reconnaissance units like Dinergates. These autonomous reconnaissance weapons, transformed from electronic pets, are clearly smarter than the larger Prowlers.

Prowlers usually follow these smaller units around. Most of these Dinergates are under the control of the cats at home, especially the two tabby cats of UMP40. They cause trouble for the Sangvis dolls on the ship.

As for causing trouble to the dolls, that’s not worth it. Although the Dinergates are not very smart, they are not stupid. None of them would crash into a piece of iron weighing hundreds of kilograms. At that point, smashing a camera would be considered a light punishment.

Crack!

While talking, Scarecrow No. 1 used a bit of brute force to dismantle the mechanical arm in the repair pod.

"Commander, these repair chambers are all designed to prevent dismantling. I’m afraid they can’t be put back later." Scarecrow No. 1 said helplessly, holding the mechanical arm and looking at the tempered glass that had fallen off it.

"Well, got it. Let’s leave it like this for now. I can’t always rely on IOP."

"Speaking of which, Commander Renault, I’ve noticed that you seem to have used the word 'later' a lot recently."

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Renault turned in surprise, as the speaker was not one of the Scarecrows but the Griffin transport pilot who had been staying in the mental space and had yet to get a body.

"Uh, why are you looking at me like that? Well, I have nothing to do here. At least counting Commander Renault's quotations helps pass the time, right?" Seeing that Renault and the two Scarecrows were looking at her, the doll waved her hands in panic.

"P226, now is a good opportunity. If you don’t mind an ordinary doll body, I can temporarily assemble one for you." Renault scratched his head and said. Indeed, he had used the word "later" a lot recently. Whether it was the expansion of the spacecraft, the spacecraft weapon system, or the doll weapons and equipment...

P226 had been in the mental space for quite a while. Initially, Renault planned to wait until P226 could use Renate's body data to build new doll body materials. However, so many tasks had piled up recently that he hadn’t had time to develop the new body materials.

These new materials are different from the original steel materials. They are not metal materials that can be quickly produced by metallurgical equipment but need time to cultivate.

According to Renate's body data, cultivating the materials simultaneously would take just over half a month. If it continues to be delayed, P226 might have to wait in the mental space for a month.

"Eh? Is it okay?" P226's eyes lit up at Renault's offer. She had long been bored in the mental space. Although she could do whatever she wanted there, everything was just her imagination, lacking a sense of reality. It would have been fine if she had a companion to talk to.

Of course, she didn’t have the courage to imagine another her to talk to, fearing she might split into two neural clouds before Renault created her body.

"Yes, but this is only temporary. When the new body materials are ready, the dolls at home will need to be replaced. By the way, Griffin's boss Kryuger is also on the ship. If you don’t want to change jobs, you can go to Kryuger or Gentiane."

"No, no, no! I want to change jobs! Commander Renault's treatment is much better than Griffin’s! I just fly a transport plane on field trips, but the compensation is only 20% more than the monthly salary!"

P226 couldn't help herself when ahe heard Renault say that. She immediately came to the front of the screen and shook her head like a rattle.

"Okay, then I'll do it now." Renault stood up and began to pick up parts from the pile.

Although they were all second-hand parts, Nagant Revolver didn’t pick up everything. At least the parts she selected were mostly intact and reusable.

While Renault was working overtime in the workshop, Kryuger was not idle either. He used the communication equipment on the spacecraft to contact Sir Griffin, Havier, and others.

Although it had been less than a day since they escaped from the military encirclement, as long as they had escaped—with the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind and M4—the overall situation was almost settled.

The military top brass would not allow Carter to continue to exploit this situation. Of course, there would still be some punishment, but it would be mild.

After all, the military's action this time was merely to take out some security contractors that Statesec considered too significant to remove. Although there was some impact, it was not a serious injury. They could not always rely on security contractors to maintain regional stability.

As for Griffin's situation, it was not within the military top brass's consideration. That was a headache for Statesec and had nothing to do with them.

Kryuger probably guessed that Carter and others were treated lightly by the military high-ranking officials, but he had no good solution. After all, he could not twist his arm against his thigh.

However, there was some good news. At least the ownership of Griffin's bases was taken back.

The layout and facilities of these bases were mostly designed for dolls, which were incompatible with the military’s dolls. Even if the military did occupy them, transforming them would be costly and somewhat of a loss.

Additionally, these bases of Griffin were not built on particularly difficult or dangerous terrain, and there was not much value in occupying them. These bases were originally built for the convenience of dolls to maintain the safety of the surrounding areas. Compared with fortresses, they were more like duty booths.

Kryuger now only hoped that the servers inside the Griffin base had not been destroyed by the military. In that case, the lost dolls could be recreated with the help of IOP.

Compared with Kryuger, who was constantly communicating, Helian was obviously absent-minded. Now that the only remaining combat commander was Gentiane, there was naturally little work left for her as an agent.

Rather than continuing to work for Griffin, she was now thinking about something else.

While pondering, Helian also took off her monocle and used the glasses cloth borrowed from the 80s to wipe it.

When she was at Griffin before, she always felt that Renault was impetuous and acted vigorously. However, after arriving on Renault's spaceship, she found that the real situation seemed a little different from what she had imagined.

Renault appears to have raised all the dolls on this ship as if they were his own mischievous children. Although Renault already had an outrageous thing like a spaceship, he was obviously not interested in changing the world.

If he had been in Griffin ... If he had so many things at hand, he would have turned them into chips and put them on the table.

But Renault didn’t seem to care about these things at all, just doing what he wanted to do at his own pace.

"Damn it! MDR! You! I must make Renault deal with you!" Angelia turned her wheelchair on her own, disregarding AK12’s obstruction, and chased after MDR, trying to catch up with her and make her delete all the photos on her phone.

Earlier, MDR had certainly not missed the scene of Angelia being fed and had added it to her collection!

AK12 initially wanted to stop Angelia, but the others was indifferent, merely laughing beside her and not worrying about Angelia, who was still weak before the meal.

Originally, Angelia was a little weak due to malnutrition, but after eating, she was different. Although she was still not strong, she could at least turn the wheelchair.

MDR and Angelia’s pursuit triggered some kind of switch for the dolls on the ship, and many of them followed and joined in the fun.

Looking at the chaotic scene before her, the entanglements in Helian’s mind were immediately cleared away. She rubbed her hair and commented that, as expected, civilian dolls were energetic no matter where they went.

"Meow!"

"Meow!"

In addition to these noisy dolls, the cats under their feet should not be ignored, as these little guys would soon attract three large "big cats."

"Don’t run! That’s my canned fish!"

"And my share!"

The two tabby cats rushed out with the three "big cats," causing a group of dolls in the corridor to scream.

However, there were more cries from Griffin's dolls. The dolls on Renault's side were no longer surprised by this kind of situational drama.

There were many animals on the spaceship's farm, but no fish. Canned fish was really something that was eaten one can less on the spaceship.

The three big cats and UMP40 at home usually guarded these canned fish closely. It remained to be seen whether they could get their canned fish back this time. If not, UMP40's wallet would be exhausted again.

Gentiane was lying comfortably on the sofa in the lounge at this time, while Kalina next to her was holding her tablet, seemingly calculating how much the Renault family’s dolls spent on this meal.

Unlike Griffin's kitchen, Renault’s side really had an unlimited supply. Even those like SPAS-12 and Type 56, who couldn’t get enough, could eat as much as they wanted, not to mention the other dolls.

The most important thing was that Renault’s kitchen didn’t charge money at all! Even the café in Springfield was the same! It is said that the money used by Springfield to purchase various equipment and tools was paid by Renault himself!

"Ah! I figured it out! Just for today’s breakfast, at least 8,375,400 has been spent! This is really a wealthy family! What M16 said is true!"

Looking at the number she calculated, Kalina was almost grinding her teeth. So many things! The cost price alone was already so high! If all of this were sold...

"Why do you calculate so much? Your cost is definitely not calculated according to Renault’s cost, right? Maybe their cost is not as high as you think."

"How is that possible! Whether it is the price of electricity or the cost of various materials, I have already calculated it according to the lowest limit! If it is lower than this cost... then he is just robbing money by selling these things!"

Speaking of this, Kalina’s heart began to bleed, as she thought of the ingredients bought not long ago, which were still stored in the cold storage in the Griffin base. Before leaving, she have forgotten to adjust the refrigeration plan of the cold storage...

Chapter 44: After Coming Back, She Became Stupid?

Reality did not allow Kalina much time to feel sad, and she didn’t even have time to take the Griffin dolls for lunch.

Wz.29 had now driven the spaceship to the sea outside Port William.

Charlotte was still on the ship. Although the commission from Griffin had come to an end for the time being, Charlotte’s commission had also concluded.

Whether it was the follow-up actions of the military or the Statesec, Charlotte would definitely not be allowed to continue filming. Therefore, Charlotte's work was completely over. As early as when Griffin retreated, Charlotte had received a call from the main station, asking her to pack up and return.

Renault's spaceship had been busy rescuing people at that time, and there was no time to send Charlotte back. Now that it was free, it was natural to send Charlotte back first. Otherwise, it was not ideal to keep her on the ship. Even if she was a customer, it wasn’t acceptable for her to stay for free every day. What if she decided to stay for a vacation in the future?

As for Griffin, Sir Griffin's actions were also quite swift. After hearing from Kryuger that Renault's spaceship had arrived in the waters near Port William, he quickly sent out a response team.

A freighter, under the pretense of transferring goods, stopped on the sea outside Port William.

Renault's spaceship landed directly on the sea. Simonov drove a new gunship to transfer Charlotte, and the spaceship waited for Sir Griffin's people to transfer Kryuger, Gentiane, and others by boat.

"It didn’t have to be so troublesome. Just let the spaceship open the rear hatch. I’ll control the spaceship to hover for a while, which should be enough for Griffin dolls to transfer to the cargo ship," wz.29 said helplessly.

What was originally a matter of a few minutes now required two lifeboats going back and forth. It was indeed troublesome.

"Hey, isn’t it good to get off work early? Anyway, the ship is already at sea, and the cargo door can’t be opened. You can only exit through the top deck. This is also to prevent people from Griffin from sneaking in," UMP45 said, patting wz.29 on the shoulder.

"Sneak in?" wz.29 asked, stunned at first. She then looked at UMP45 in confusion. "You mean, someone from Griffin will sneak in to gather information? Is that really necessary?"

The Griffin dolls under Gentiane could basically go anywhere on the ship. They were familiar with the ship’s layout, even if they had been there for less than half a day. Gentiane, Kryuger, and others were also not restricted in their movements. It was unnecessary for Griffin to send dolls to sneak in for information.

"No, no, no, this is different. Griffin is Griffin, and Sir Griffin is Sir Griffin. The two sides can’t be completely mixed together. You should know that Sir Griffin has a company specializing in intelligence, Wave Tech. Have you heard of them?"

"Uh? No, I haven’t heard of them at all..." wz.29 scratched his head and followed UMP45 out of the bridge. As soon as they came out, they encountered a doll who looked quite unfamiliar.

"Hey, don’t move. It’s better not to throw those things in your hand at us, otherwise, you’ll face retaliation. Don’t say I didn’t warn you in advance," UMP45 said, narrowing her eyes and pointing at the bag on the doll’s waist.

The doll, upon hearing UMP45’s words, was momentarily stunned, then nodded, turned around happily, and walked toward the exit of the top deck of the spacecraft.

"That is..."

"Do I need to ask? It must be the doll sent by Sir Griffin. She almost threw the nano-detection device she was holding at us just now," UMP45 said, spreading her hands.

Although the nano-devices couldn’t be observed with their current optical equipment, the signals emitted by those devices couldn’t be faked. As an electronic warfare doll, she was very sensitive to these signals.

"Is this really necessary? We just helped evacuate the remaining dolls of Griffin!" wz.29, usually calm, couldn’t help but feel disgusted with Sir Griffin actions.

"Of course it’s necessary. After all, for those who rely on intelligence to stir up the situation, Renault’s intelligence is very important. For example, this time, we almost single-handedly thwarted the military’s plan. Those guys must be eager to find out even the smallest details, like ‘what underwear Commander Renault wears’."

And... UMP45 didn’t directly say something else. After all, the existence of dolls, especially tactical dolls, was originally meant to replace the extremely scarce manpower of the era. Dolls were designed and manufactured to take on risks in dangerous positions that humans would otherwise face.

For most people, dolls were just machines. They didn’t care about what dolls were thinking or what ideas they had.

The wishes of dolls were not important to most people.

People like Gentiane and Persica, who cared about dolls, were a minority among the minority.

Wz.29 blushed a little at UMP45’s words. She felt that UMP45’s metaphor was somewhat inappropriate.

Noting the redness on Wz.29’s face, UMP45 smirked slightly. The plan had worked and successfully diverted Wz.29’s attention.

"I remember that Renault has very good hearing. Aren’t you worried that Renault will suddenly appear behind you?" Just as UMP45 was thinking about how to further divert Wz.29’s attention from the doll they had met earlier, a clear voice sounded from behind them.

The two who turned around after hearing the voice stared in surprise when they saw the figure. "Agent Helian? Why didn’t you leave with Commander Gentia and the others on the ship?"

Although the transfer of the T-Dolls on the top deck is still ongoing, it is clear that, as a senior agent of Griffin, she should have left Renault’s spaceship with Kryuger and the others as soon as possible.

They don’t know why Helian didn’t leave first but stood here, who had already taken off the Griffin uniform coat that she had never changed.

"I just want to change my workplace; it's no big deal," Helian shrugged and said. Without the iconic monocle, Helianthus looked much softer and more relaxed than before.

"Huh? Change workplaces? Wait, are you switching jobs?" UMP45 looked Helian up and down and, combined with her changes, gasped.

Hey, hey, hey! No way! It's fine for some dolls to switch jobs—after all, most do it for a reason—but Helianthus? That’s a problem!

She was working well as a senior agent at Griffin. Why did she suddenly come to work for Renault?

Although Helianthus is not one of the founders of Griffin and Kryuger, she has been with Griffin since the company was established.

It has been nearly ten years now. After working at Griffin for so long, it is unreasonable to change jobs now! It does not align with her rigorous and serious personality!

"Ah, that’s right. I have been at Griffin for too long. Sometimes I want to change my working environment. Renault is a good place." Seeing the shock on UMP45 and wz.29's faces, Helian smiled and said.

Seeing this, UMP45 rubbed her eyes, then turned to ask wz.29 next to her, "Hey, Panacea, am I seeing things? Did I just see Helian smile at me?"

"Well, dolls shouldn’t be seeing things. There is no such preset program in the bionic module."

wz.29 looked at UMP45 in surprise, not understanding why she suddenly called her name.

"Okay, no need to guess. I'm here for Renault. I’ll go to the workshop to find Renault first." Seeing UMP45’s reaction, Helian smiled, waved her hand, and walked toward the workshop.

She wanted to ask Renault if what he said to her before was still valid.

"Tsk tsk, this is true. The Griffin agent loser for thousands of years has finally come to her senses. I wonder what’s so attractive about Renault. Can he attract others by being busy in the workshop all day?"

After hearing what UMP45 said and thinking of what Helian had mentioned before, wz.29 suddenly realized, "You mean...!?"

"Shh! Don’t say it! It’s not fun to say it! MDR must be very interested in this kind of thing!"

...

"Have a good trip, Miss Charlotte." Simonov waved to Charlotte after helping to move the equipment she brought into the trunk of the TV station’s vehicle.

"Well, you too. Ah! Wait! My clothes..." Charlotte began to speak, but she suddenly realized she was still wearing the protective suit made by Renault.

Because it was very light to wear, plus the built-in power-assisted exoskeleton, she almost forgot she was still wearing it!

"Ah? Well, just treat it as a gift. Since Commander Renault didn’t say anything, there must be no problem," Simonov waved his hand and said nonchalantly.

Since Renault didn’t ask for anything, there must be no problem. Simonov knew that although his commander sometimes missed things, such a protective suit made of civilian parts would obviously not be counted.

"Huh? So, thank you so much! I will definitely take care of your business in the future!" Hearing this, Charlotte was delighted.

After all, the protective suit made by Renault not only has protective capabilities but also power-assisting functions. As long as she wears this suit, she won’t have to worry about physical exhaustion in the future, whether running fieldwork or traveling on business!

This suit made by Renault is much more useful than those civilian exoskeletons and protective equipment sold! And wearing it will not affect her interviews or anything like that!

Simonov couldn't help but twitch her eyes about it.

Take care of business? Forget it. Everyone knows that this business is a joint offer from several organizations to Renault. If the offer weren’t high enough, with the character of his commander, he would never accept such an escort commission.

"Okay, we’ll leave first. It seems that someone else is here to pick you up." Simonov waved her hand and pointed to a young man who was trotting nearby.

After that, Simonov jumped directly into the engine room of the gunship. The gunship, which had not been turned off, soon floated up from the ground and steadily increased its altitude until it reached about 20 meters. Simonov then controlled the gunship to rush out from above the airport!

Waving to the gunship that was flying away, Charlotte turned around and looked at the figure that was gradually approaching.

After seeing the other person’s figure, Charlotte’s eyes suddenly lit up, and she immediately trotted toward him.

When he saw Charlotte running toward him, the young man, or rather Wright, slowed down his pace and watched his sister rush toward him happily.

What he didn’t expect was that when Charlotte reached him, she didn’t greet him immediately but stretched out her hands, went straight to his armpits, and then lifted him up? Ah, ah?

"Hehe! Lift him up!"

Hmm? What’s going on?

Wright, who was lifted into the air by Charlotte, looked at her in disbelief. He couldn’t believe that the person in front of him, who was like a husky, smiling foolishly and lifting him up with brute force, was his own sister.

Did she get so strong after a business trip?

Thinking of this, Wright’s eyebrows furrowed! Although he was not willing to rely on the family’s influence in his work, it was about Charlotte. Even if he was unwilling, he had to show his willingness!

However, when Charlotte saw Wright’s face suddenly frown, she thought her brother was angry. So, she let go and put Wright back on the ground. "Hehe, I was just happy for a moment. Don’t be so petty and angry. Not to mention, I held you when you were a child!"

Seeing Charlotte returning to normal, Wright was relieved. "I have never seen anyone who can be so busy and foolish during a business trip. Very good, except that there seems to be something wrong with your brain. You doesn’t seem to be missing any limbs."

"Hehe, isn’t this business trip really comfortable? The treatment at Mr. Renault’s place is outrageous. You can’t imagine how much they eat in one meal..."

Chapter 45: No Games to Play, No Moving

"No? Even if you eat a little better, where do you get so much strength?" Wright asked suspiciously, eyeing Charlotte up and down.

Although he and his sister’s bodies have been slightly enhanced since consuming the items brought from Renault’s ship, he was now wearing a full set of equipment, including a bulletproof vest and weapons, totaling about 60 to 70 kilograms.

Who would have thought that when his sister lifted him, it was as easy as lifting a child?

However, Wright soon noticed a clue. What was exposed in the cuffs of Charlotte’s outfit was not bare skin but a layer of clothing that resembled protective gear.

"Hehe! Look, this is the protective clothing Mr. Renault gave me before I went to the battlefield for an interview. It also has a power-assisted exoskeleton, so it feels almost like not wearing anything at all!"

Hearing this, Wright’s face darkened. What kind of nonsense is this? And Renault is a man, right? How did he make such a well-fitting suit?

"Hey, why do you look at me like that? He didn't peek at me. He has so many dolls under his command. How could Renault personally take my measurements?" Seeing Wright’s face darken, Charlotte slapped him on the forehead in irritation.

Wright, who was hit, sighed helplessly. Obviously, Charlotte's excitement hadn’t worn off yet. "Okay, let’s go back first. Someone will come here to check soon."

"Uh, check again? What about the equipment in the station?" Charlotte turned her head and looked at the car that Wright had driven over. Clearly, this ordinary car couldn’t accommodate the professional equipment used for broadcasting.

"Don’t worry. Someone will pack up the equipment and send it back to your station. Oh, and you should also remove the set you’re wearing quickly; otherwise, if it gets confiscated, don’t say I didn’t warn you."

Thanks to Charlotte’s broadcast, although it wasn’t filmed to the end, news of Griffin, the security contractor, being besieged by the military and even kicked when down had spread.

During this period, Renault, who was responsible for Charlotte’s security, had also been slightly exposed to the public.

As for the upcoming inspection, it can’t be said to be targeting Renault specifically. In short, all equipment that has been in contact with Renault and has been to the war zone needs to be inspected.

Ahem, in fact, there is only the broadcasting equipment brought back by Charlotte...

...

"Obviously, these people have set their sights on your spaceship. The previous move wz.29 did to drive the spaceship to avoid the railgun attack, and the Force Shield on the surface of the spaceship was truly terrifying."

Putting down the monocle in her hand, Helian looked at the previously rejected entry applications and expressed her concern.

"It’s a defense matrix, not a Force Shield. As for those people, it doesn’t matter. Anyway, as long as they don’t mobilize everyone to target me, it’s meaningless."

Hearing Renault’s words, Helian looked back at Renault, who had moved a stool and was sitting on the edge of the top deck with a fishing rod in his hand, and sighed helplessly, "You are too nonchalant."

However, after understanding the situation on Renault’s ship, Helianthus also realized why Renault wasn’t worried; there was no aircraft that could compete with Renault’s spaceship in the air.

Although Renault’s spaceship’s weapons aren’t powerful enough at present, nothing flying in the sky can compare to Renault’s ship. The weakest part of the entire spaceship’s armor is one meter thick, made of high-strength alloy steel that Renault crafted himself. She had never heard of this material.

This spaceship flying in the sky is essentially a modern battleship. Torpedoes or anti-ship missiles might pose a threat, but unfortunately, Renault’s spaceship is not a surface ship confined to the sea. Its high maneuverability means that anti-ship missiles are difficult to hit it.

Moreover, there are collapsing particle clouds everywhere in the sky. If something were launched that could escape the atmosphere, there’s a 90% chance of losing control and a 10% chance of causing panic in neighboring countries, leading to military retaliation.

Seeing that Renault remained unmoved, Helian shrugged, "So, the dolls are now clamoring to go to the city to buy various things. All the ports here have refused entry for your spacecraft. What should we do next?"

"Just head south. The south is not as sensitive to the situation here. The pass for Universal Anything can still be used there. Of course, we need to wait for the items those guys ordered to be delivered before we can set off."

"Order?"

"Ah, M200 and RFB helped order it. To be precise, it was ordered by their former employer, the old lady of the Graven family. It will probably take a few hours for delivery. They want a lot of things."

"Uh, no wonder. I thought you just wanted to stop here to fish."

"So, don’t worry. Just wait patiently."

Helian didn’t look for a chair; she sat down directly on the deck, tilted her head to look at Renault next to her, squinting her eyes and about to fall asleep. "Alas, wooden guy..."

...

"I feel like I’m almost well now, right?" Seeing that Gentiane and the others, as well as the Griffin dolls, had all left the spaceship, Angelia couldn’t sit still. Although it had been less than a day, she was really unwilling to spend a "holiday" at Renault’s place.

"Not even close. Your body still needs time to recover, and because this is the first transformation surgery performed on humans, you need to be observed for another week. Well, those are Renault's exact words. If you don’t want to listen, don’t complain to me; just go find Renault."

Renate shrugged her shoulders and waved at Angelia indifferently. This wasn’t something she could control. When Angelia could leave depended entirely on Renault’s decision.

After Renate finished speaking, Angelia’s face froze. She raised her hand and clenched her fist, feeling that her body was still in recovery. Although her strength had returned to its pre-injury state, or even slightly improved, the sensation of weakness was real.

AK12 stood behind Angelia and blinked but didn’t say anything. Although she thought Angelia’s current physical data was quite healthy, she wasn’t a medical professional.

Besides, it was Renault, the person in charge of the surgery, who said that Angelia should stay for observation. Rather than letting Angelia wander around for a week, it was better to let the restless woman stay here and heal completely.

"Tsk, really... How long will it take? You can’t really make me wait a week, right? I’m recovering so fast now, it shouldn’t take that long, right?"

"Oh, that depends on how quickly you can absorb nutrients..."

Gurgle!

"Oh!? Why is it happening again!? I just had dinner an hour and a half ago!? Is this a side effect of the transformation surgery!?" Hearing this sound, Angelia was no longer unfamiliar with it.

This was clearly the sound of her stomach gurgling!

"Well, probably. I was... ahem, anyway, this should be normal. Who told you to run out of the nutrient solution jar early? Normally, you have to soak in it until all the nutrients are absorbed before you can get out."

"Soaking... can you absorb nutrients by soaking? I’m not a frog! Can I still breathe through my skin after the transformation?"

"I don’t know about that, but I suggest you don’t try it. Otherwise, if your body mutates into some strange organs, don’t say I didn’t warn you."

As soon as Renate said this, Angelia felt a chill, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up.

Could this transformation actually cause her to mutate!?

"What’s that expression on your face? Didn’t Renault inform you about this before the operation? Why do you look like you’re hearing it for the first time? I suggest you go to the restaurant and ask G36 and the others for something to eat; otherwise, the noise will be heard throughout the corridor."

Renate waved at Angelia. She had also experienced the same hunger as Angelia. During those days, she was almost permanently at the restaurant, either eating or asking G36 for food to satisfy her hunger.

AK12 heard this and nodded to AK15, who was behind Angelia. AK15 said nothing and pushed Angelia in the wheelchair toward the restaurant.

As AK15 pushed the wheelchair away, Angelia could still be heard shouting unwillingly, "Don’t push me! I can walk by myself! Put me down!"

AK12 and AN94 turned around and followed Angelia, leaving only RPK16 and Renate staring at each other.

"Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you really worried that your neural core won’t be delivered to Renault like last time?"

It must be said that Renate knew RPK16 very well. When she saw that RPK16 hadn’t spoken for so long, she guessed what was on her mind. After all, they were the same ‘person’, so it wasn’t surprising that she could guess it.

"Indeed, now it’s not just the Statesec; most prominent organizations have noticed Renault’s existence. This time, someone has already refused Renault and his spaceship entry to the port, so next time, they might just attack when they see him."

Under these circumstances, Renault’s spaceship might not have time to find her...

And this time Angelia stayed on Renault’s ship for such a long time and also received Renault’s transformation surgery... After returning, Statesec might have to investigate their neural clouds again.

I’m afraid the same situation as before might occur, directly backing up her neural cloud map and replacing it with a new neural core...

If that’s the case, it’s still simple. The problem is that there is already a program in her body that can remotely melt her core, and the same goes for AK12 and the others.

Although they might not be implicated by her, the feeling of being at the edge of danger is quite unpleasant.

"Then you’d better hurry up. Ange won’t think that you guys will have problems. While Ange hasn’t fully recovered yet, go find Renault to help you think of a solution. With his skills, dealing with the neural core should be no problem."

As long as RPK16’s neural core isn’t thrown directly into the crusher, and as long as her neural core remains generally intact, Renault should be able to restore RPK16’s mind.

"That’s true, but Renault is now enjoying a private moment with Agent Helian on the top deck. If I go up now, Miss Helian might just glare me down."

That said, RPK16 still took a step forward. Compared to becoming a piece of waste eventually thrown into the garbage crusher, it was worth enduring a few cold glares from Helian.

And... so many people are counting on Commander Renault now; Helian can’t be the only one. Well, that’s not ideal. Before we go... maybe we can call a few ‘others’ to help divert the attention?

However, what surprised RPK16 was that when she led a group of dolls to find them, Helian didn’t react at all. There was no change in her expression. Maybe she had been frowning for so long that she had adapted to hiding her emotions?

After hearing RPK16’s request, Renault, who had been fishing for a long time without any results, stopped wasting time and got up to walk toward the workshop.

Before leaving, RPK16 glanced at Helian and found that she was holding the fishing rod in Renault’s hand nonchalantly, apparently intending to try sea fishing.

Well, I hope she’s overthinking things...

"How long do we have to wait? It’s been so long, and they haven’t come yet?" Ouroboros and RFB sat side by side on the edge of the deck, watching the port, always keeping an eye out for any approaching cargo ships.

"It’s been less than an hour since we sent the order request. To be precise, it’s only 37 minutes. This time isn’t even enough to mobilize manpower. Can you be patient?"

M200 glanced at Ouroboros with annoyance. After having no games to play, these two were like salted fish lying there motionless.

"Uh, only this much time? Why do I feel like several hours have passed... What should I do? I feel like I’m dying without games to play..." RFB lay on the deck, half-dead, and turned over lazily.

Chapter 46: Chatting and Returning

"It looks like you are doing well, but don't you have too many Sangvis Ferri here?" Mrs. Graven climbed up the freighter along the gangway with brisk hands and feet. She stretched out her hands swiftly and didn't look like an old woman in her sixties or seventies.

"Well, fortunately, the Sangvis Ferri dolls are very well-behaved on the ship; at least they are much better than some guys who don't do their work all day." When M200 said this, she glanced at RFB, who was looking at the freighter. It was obvious who the certain people she was talking about were.

"Hehe, it's still the same, no change at all!" Mrs. Graven looked at RFB, smiled, and handed a list of goods in her hand to M200.

"In fact, you don't have to come here in person. Our current situation is a little dangerous. Many departments have already targeted the commander, and Stasi should be the same." Without checking the list in her hand immediately, M200 looked at the freighter with some concern and said to Mrs. Graven.

"Hey, it's nothing. It's only a matter of time. With their abilities, it's not difficult to find this out." When she first dealt with Renault, she didn't expect that Renault could cause such a big scene.

Now Renault's spaceship and the military's previous actions have become hot news. Well, thanks to Charlotte's report, although Renault's popularity is not yet known to everyone, as long as there is even a slight connection with security contractors, there is no one who doesn't know Renault.

While talking, Mrs. Graven turned her head and looked at the Sangvis Ferri Dolls.

These Sangvis Ferri Dolls, who were busy unloading the cargo from the cargo ship crane, made her feel like she had returned to a few years ago, when Sangvis Ferri didn't rebel and the shipyard under her was still operating normally.

The shipyard occasionally had some business dealings with Sangvis Ferri. Of course, it was just using Sangvis Ferri's transportation channels to transport some materials. Sangvis Ferri would occasionally buy one or two transport ships from her.

There was a give-and-take relationship, which was considered a pleasant cooperation. Unfortunately, since the incident with Sangvis Ferri, the situation has become indescribable.

First, Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing fell apart. From the shareholder management to the ordinary staff of the middle management, they were either cleared out by the rebellious Sangvis Ferri or killed by people with ulterior motives. In less than half a month, the entire Sangvis Ferri completely became an anti-human existence.

And her shipyard, due to the collapse radiation of unknown origin, the entire city became an infected area.

The personnel, equipment, and technology are all easy to manage, but the problem is... it is not easy to find a good place to reopen the shipyard. It is not easy to find a high-quality port these days.

She also found a lot of people to resume her old business in Port William. It was also thanks to Renault and others who took back the shipyard data from the contaminated area. Otherwise, she would never be as comfortable as she is now.

"Renault is really capable of keeping these Sangvis Ferri Dolls in control."

Hearing Mrs. Graven's sigh, M200 scratched her cheek in embarrassment. What she said was indeed true, but the method Renault used... if repeatedly beating Executioner can be considered a method of discipline...

Of course, directly using physical force to subdue people is only one of the methods. In fact, the more important reason is that Renault's Dolls can gain high-level authority over the Sangvis Ferri Dolls at any time. Over time, the Sangvis Ferri Dolls have become accustomed to it.

And after Renault lifted the mental restrictions on these Sangvis Ferri Dolls, most of them have already adapted to life on Renault's side. If they are rashly sent to other places, they will really get angry.

Well, it is estimated that even if it is the Mastermind of Sangvis Ferri, it would be difficult to recall those Sangvis Ferri Dolls who have been on the ship for a long time.

After all, returning to the Sangvis Ferri Manufacturing would almost certainly mean being on call 24 hours a day, which is not as comfortable as being here with Renault. And maybe they could get a new body from Renault in the future. They are already fed up with the body that couldn't eat or drink.

Especially when they saw Jeager at Renault eating and drinking with the dolls all day long... What a lucky guy, why weren't they the first to be discovered by Renault?

Mrs. Graven didn't stay on Renault's ship for too long. After Renault came out of the workshop and said hello, the old lady went back to the cargo ship directly, and all the goods on the ship had been moved over.

After RFB was pressed on the head by Renault and said goodbye to Mrs. Graven, the cargo ship also left Renault's spaceship.

The whole process actually took less than half an hour. After all, the Sangvis Ferri dolls would not slack off when working like RFB and the others.

Of the entire shipload of goods, only a small portion was the necessities ordered by G36 and M1 Garland, such as the tableware and tools that were urgently needed in the restaurant, and some small gadgets such as parts that were missing from the factory department.

Most of the others were personal items ordered by the dolls, such as the game consoles and games that RFB and Ouroboros specifically requested.

In addition, there were also a series of scattered items such as records, posters, plush dolls, etc. It was really hard for Mrs. Graven to get all these things in such a short time.

But even so, there were still many things on the list listed by the dolls that could not be bought. After all, even Renault might not be able to remember when and where his own doll bought those things.

While the dolls were busy claiming their things, the spaceship took off again, turned around, and flew in the direction they came from.

"Are you really leaving? There's no need to go back to the original Sangvis Ferri area, right? Maybe the military has already occupied the area." Intruder asked the Sangvis Ferri agent in surprise.

Soon after Griffin's doll and Gentiane left, Agent found Renault and asked them to leave.

Intruder, who originally thought that Agent would definitely take Eliza to settle down with Renault, now really doesn't understand what Agent is thinking. If they go to other areas, it's bad.

You just ran out of the military's encirclement, and you're going to jump back in again? Maybe there's something wrong with your neural cloud?

"This is the master's request." Facing Intruder's question, Agent was unmoved, just pondered for a moment and spoke.

"Uh, but this kind of request... Oh, forget it, I won't persuade you anymore. You guys should be careful. Although the news says that the military has withdrawn from certain areas, you'd better stay vigilant. They may still have something up their sleeves."

Intruder wanted to persuade them a bit more, but considering Agents still had underlying agreements, it was obviously impossible for them to disobey the orders of the Sangvis Ferri Mastermind Eliza.

Although she was a little puzzled as to why Renault didn't immediately change the root protocol agreements of Agent, perhaps Renault had his own considerations... or maybe he simply didn't have time to think about these things?

Compared with the former, Intruder felt that the latter was more likely.

After all, Renault had been extremely busy over the past few days. Aside from spending a little time on the top deck with Helian, she really hadn't seen Renault idle. First, there was the repair of the Sangvis Ferri, then the operation on Angelia. Just now, RPK16 called him to the workshop. After coming out of the workshop, he greeted Mrs. Graven, and then was called away by M1 Garand again.

It's probably just like being busy all the time, right?

The spacecraft passed through the airspace of several control zones at high altitude, but this time, due to the altitude, it did not attract the attention of air defense facilities and returned to the original control area of Sangvis Ferri without incident.

"Well, the military appears to have retreated. It looks like they don't want to send more people to stay in this polluted area." UMP45, who came to the bridge to visit and hang out, nodded in understanding after seeing the situation on the spacecraft's detector.

Sure enough, if it weren't for the Sangvis Ferri's Mastermind, Eliza, why would they have voluntarily ventured into the contaminated area?

Now that the operation is over, those military personnel, dolls, and various equipment have all been withdrawn. Staying in this place not only consumes food but also energy. To protect against the radiation of the collapse, they must use a lot of neutralizers, disinfectants, cleaning agents, and other supplies.

Moreover, how to sustain life in the polluted area is also a problem. Not everyone can build a living space with good protection capabilities in the polluted area like Renault.

All these factors add up to a considerable cost. If the military were occupying Griffin's territory, it would be reasonable for them to leave people stationed there, but if they were occupying the territory of Sangvis Ferri...

Is that Sangvis Ferri's territory? It's clearly an uninhabited polluted area with some industrial equipment that can operate normally.

Such place has always been exclusive to dolls. Normal humans would certainly not stay in this kind of area for too long.

After confirming that there were no military dolls within a radius of dozens of kilometers in the Sangvis Ferri's control area, Agent nodded with satisfaction, then chose a location and asked WZ.29 to set them down.

When the spaceship landed and the cargo door at the rear opened, Eliza was the first to disembark. However, as soon as she stepped out of the spaceship, she stood still, turned around, and looked up in a certain direction inside the spaceship.

It was not the direction of the restaurant, but the location of M4. The cargo door of the spaceship was open, and she could still vaguely sense the exact location of M4. Although this contact with M4 did not allow her to fully achieve her goal, it was at least half successful.

Because she had found the things she was missing from M4, it didn't matter if M4 didn't want to participate in the follow-up.

Agent, Dreamer, and Judge also disembarked, and behind them were the Sangvis Ferri armored units that had boarded the spaceship with Eliza.

These armored units did not have much interaction with the dolls on the ship, as the armored units, whether were the Aegis, the Nemuen, or the Manticores, they could not speak. And it's probably unlikely that they even had self-awareness...

Just as these armored units followed several Sangvis Ferri Elite T-Dolls down the spaceship, Destroyer, who had previously been forced to join Renault, suddenly ran over with a large box in hand. No one knew what was inside.

Seeing Destroyer running over, Dreamer raised her eyebrows. She didn't know what this girl wanted to do. It was probably impossible for her to leave. Even she herself had thought about staying here before.

Unfortunately, Mastermind had the greatest authority, and she couldn't disobey Eliza's orders at present.

"You're holding a box. Are you coming back with a gift?" Although she knew it was unlikely, Dreamer still teased.

After all, which Sangvis Ferri Elite T-Doll present didn't have empty hands? Only you are carrying a big box. Isn't this lowering the style of Sangvis Ferri?

"Eh? Ah! What? I... Hey! Anyway, this is for you! Don't forget to contact me if you need anything!" Destroyer wanted to argue, but when she saw Eliza not far away, she didn't dare to shout on this occasion.

Then she stuffed the box into Dreamer's hands, turned around, and ran away. In just a few seconds, she rushed into the elevator and disappeared.

"Hmph, it seems that someone still cares about you." Seeing the box in Dreamer's hands, Judge snorted, with some jealousy in her eyes. But her relationship with the other Sangvis Ferri dolls wasn't good enough for anyone to send her gifts.

"Hey." Hearing the Judge's words, Dreamer smirked, but her attention was focused on the box in her hands.

This was just an ordinary suitcase, and it was second-hand. It was a bit worn out, but still usable. This kind of thing was nothing more than the old goods picked up by the Nagant Revolver.

As for what was in the box?

You don't need to look to know that this box smells of vegetables and ingredients. Obviously, most of the things inside are just some groceries.

It's a pity that the idiot Destroyer, what's the point of sending her ingredients? She can't cook. Instead of giving her these ingredients, it would have been more pleasant to just prepare a dish and serve it to her.

And contact... She had heard from Agent before that Renault's ship can block some external signals, and normal communication signals can't be transmitted to the interior of the spacecraft at all.

In this case, how can she contact Destroyer? What's more, most of the communication stations and signal towers of Sangvis Ferri have been destroyed, and the transmission of information may encounter a lot of trouble.

Thinking like this, Dreamer opened the suitcase while walking, only to find that in addition to the neatly stacked ingredients, there was actually a mobile phone inside the box...

Has this girl... got smart?

Chapter 47: Is This Necessary?

"Well, there isn't much daily work, but with so much research and development, can't Scarecrow and the others help? And... is there something wrong with the crop output of this vertical farm and breeding farm?"

Helian frowned in confusion as she looked at the work log handed over by M1 Garland.

Although she had visited various places on the ship before, she really had no idea about the output of the vertical farms and breeding farms.

After all, the vertical farm on the ship wasn't big, and the breeding farm was about the same size. Helian didn't expect that the output of these two small places could not only meet the daily consumption of so many dolls on the ship, but also fill several warehouses with the stored goods.

"Well, the commander didn't explain what technology was used, but the crops in the vertical farm on the ship do grow faster. As for the commander's research and development work, I'm afraid Scarecrow can't really help," M1 Garland said, shaking her head. Even if Persica stayed on the ship, she might not be able to help in this regard. After all, she had never seen or even heard of the technologies her commander had brought out.

"Is that so... Is your work busy?"

"Well, it's not that busy, but because most of these tasks are handled only by me and BM59, it takes a little more time," M1 Garland said, a little embarrassed. There are already many dolls at home, but in fact, there are not many who can do this job. Many dolls at home like to keep busy, but for work involving overall management, some calm dolls are still needed.

"Eh? What about G36? They should be able to help, right?" After a pause, Helian thought of the more excitable dolls under Renault but soon considered G36 and others. Besides G36, Scarecrow, Hunter and even Intruder weren't children either.

"Well, G36, in addition to managing the vertical farm and breeding farm, oversees the ship's kitchen, which should be the busiest department. As for the other dolls, most of them have their own responsibilities. There are still a few dolls willing to do this kind of work."

Helian paused when she heard this. Indeed, the kitchen on Renault's ship was the busiest place on the entire ship. Although they had just eaten breakfast not long ago, G36 and G3 and others had already begun directing other dolls to prepare lunch.

And the dolls helping in the kitchen have also been rotated. They work three shifts a day, and there are indeed few dolls who do nothing. Even RFB and Ouroboros, who slack off all day, are occasionally pulled out of their nests to do some work. Renault doesn't mind them, but it doesn't mean that other dolls will let these two slack off every day.

Are you kidding? We're busy every day, but you two slack off all day? Is that even possible?

Why not have the Sangvis dolls help in the kitchen, freeing up others for different tasks?

Obviously, this is unrealistic. The Sangvis dolls have now taken on the cleaning and maintenance work of most areas on the ship. This kind of work is very repetitive and tedious for dolls... even if they aren't dolls.

I'm afraid only M1897, a doll who specializes in cleaning, enjoys doing this kind of work all day.

"Well, it seems I can still help you share some of the workload. Although my efficiency may not be as high as that of dolls, handling some ordinary coordination work is still manageable. After all, I'm not incapable of using tools."

"That's great! But, Agent Helian..."

"Just call me Helian. I'm not Griffin's senior agent anymore," she waved her hand, correcting M1 Garland's form of address. "Agent" seemed to overlap too much with the characteristics of the Sangvis Agent.

"Well, okay, Helian. Come to think of it, why did you come to us? Griffin should treat you very well."

"Well, I guess I just figured out some things, so I decided to make some changes."

In any case, she understood that as long as she remained Griffin's senior agent, she probably wouldn't be able to find a boyfriend.

It wasn't just the busy work, but also the cold demeanor she had developed to manage Griffin's human employees...

Although Helian didn't explain directly, M1 Garland still noticed some clues from her slightly flushed cheeks... An unknown sense of urgency suddenly arose within M1 Garland!

Renate's new body... looks quite normal recently. I'm afraid it won't be long before the commander replaces them with new ones. But time is a bit tight here. Should we hurry them up?

M1 Garland and Helian, both occupied with their own thoughts, divided the work at hand while talking and then turned their attention to it, forgetting their other plans.

"Ah, do M1 Garland and Helian like working so much? They're already at it so early in the morning?"

"Well, it's true. Miss Helian usually appears so businesslike. It's hard to imagine what she looks like when she's not working," AN94 said with some emotion, holding a cat in her hands.

"Forget it, let's not talk about that. AN94, help me keep an eye on other directions. It should be fine here. Cream, Puff, and Cookie usually don't dare to come here. Last time they caused trouble here, they were scolded by M1 Garland," BM59 said, pulling out a can of fish from her waist bag. This is a strategic resource for the ship's cats. If Mrs. Graven hadn't sent a batch before, she wouldn't have this can of fish on hand.

"Yeah." AN94 nodded, squatted down, and stared at several corners of the corridor, keeping an eye out for other cats that might suddenly dash out, as well as the three IDWs... The cats on the Renault spacecraft, the two UMP40 ones, are real troublemakers, as slippery as loaches.

Even if you search the entire ship from end to end, you might not be able to find where those two little troublemakers are.

As for big orange belonging to Jaeger, that one is still in Jaeger's dormitory. The big orange cat, which is fat and plump, now sleeps in the dormitory most of the time, except for taking a walk before dinner every day. Occasionally, he'll find a good spot to bask in the sun.

Therefore, compared to this, the only cat AN94 can approach and touch is BM59's ragdoll cat.

Fortunately, BM59 is easy to talk to. After all, AN94 just wants to pet the cat, which isn't a problem.

Not to mention AN94 finding opportunities to pet the cat, even AK12 and AK15, who often stay with Angelia, are not with her now.

Because Renate is accompanying Angelia for rehabilitation activities, and since there is no danger on the ship, AK12 and AK15 naturally don't need to follow Angelia all the time.

Actually, AK12 initially wanted to accompany her, but Angelia eventually sent her away. After all, in Renault's territory, it was really noticeable to bring several doll subordinates with you everywhere you go.

But soon, Angelia realized she had overthought this. Being noticeable or not... Renault's dolls probably don't even consider this...

Just like M1897 in front of her, leading a group of cleaners while holding various cleaning tools. If it weren't for the mop in her hand instead of a scepter, Angelia might have thought she was a queen from somewhere, leading her subjects on a patrol.

"Have they always been like this?" Angelia asked Renate as she watched a group of dolls walk by.

"I don't know about before, but since I arrived, they've been patrolling like this every day," Renate replied, shrugging.

"Huh, does Renault have any testing equipment? I feel like I'm not even human anymore," Angelia said, taking a breath and setting aside those trivial thoughts. To be honest, her current physical condition made her a bit uneasy.

The height of Renault's spaceship is over 40 meters, and the internal height is at least 40 meters. She had just run up and down the emergency stairs in the ship with Renate at least ten times, and she was only a little out of breath.

Even soldiers with leg prostheses might not have this kind of stamina... But she felt that if she recovered for a few more days, she would only break a sweat from running that many times.

Just like Renate in front of her, who hadn't sweated a single drop so far, as if these ten rounds were not exercise at all for her.

"This is all normal, but I guess Renault held back a bit when he performed the surgery on you. Otherwise, as Renault said, you'd be fully recovered within a day or two."

As for why she had to gradually adapt to her growing new body, it can only be said that Renault deliberately designed a safety measure to ensure Renate's appearance wouldn't change.

...

As Angelia recovered day by day, this excellent Statesec employee, who couldn't sit still, finally waited for her body to fully recover.

Feeling the lingering weakness in her body dissipate, Angelia now felt full of strength, and not just strength, it was as if even her bones were several levels harder!

She could even pick up AK15 now!

You know, AK15 is the heaviest among her dolls! AK15 didn't use lightweight materials to reduce weight but instead chose more solid, better-performing metal materials.

It can be said that she is already the pinnacle of military dolls, well, for her body, at least.

Angelia can't even feel the weight of the AK15, which is nearly 100 kilograms.

This kind of power is much stronger than the prosthesis she had before!

"Congratulations, you can finally go back to working overtime," Renate said with a smile, and anyone could hear the teasing in her words.

"Hmph, who made me born to work hard?" Angelia shrugged, clearly not bothered by the sarcasm.

AK12 and the others also gathered around Angelia at this time. Although she was very comfortable on Renault's ship these days, vacations always come to an end. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a vacation but more like being fired.

At this time, Renault's spaceship was parked in the Mediterranean. Angelia had contacted the ship, and if nothing unexpected happened, it should still be the way of the Security Bureau.

The departure of Angelia and the others did not cause any trouble for the dolls on the ship because Angelia and the dolls on the ship didn't actually communicate much.

Watching Angelia leave, Helian shook her head, returned to the workshop, and found Renault.

"They've left. The intelligence dealers we contacted before have already responded to your next plan, but they want to trade face-to-face. It seems they don't trust your communication system."

"Well, it's normal not to trust it. If they had just sent the intelligence over, I'd suspect that these guys found some false information to fool me."

"Then do we still need to go? The meeting place they chose isn't on the sea; it's in a green zone. If your spaceship goes there, it will probably still arouse the locals' vigilance." Helian looked at the agreed meeting place.

Inland areas aren't coastal, and they are also green zones. If you want to go there, both spaceships and gunboats are a bit too conspicuous.

But there's still good news. At least, although it's not a coastal area, it should be reachable in less than half an hour at the speed of spaceships and gunboats.

Even if they really encounter a low-probability event like gangsters fighting gangsters, Renault and his men wouldn't have to hold on for too long before they could evacuate.

Of course, if Renault could send a message in advance, he might be able to stand on the bridge of the spaceship the next minute after just falling out with others.

"Don't worry, they're just some intelligence dealers. They can't just pull out a few train guns like the military." If it weren't for the firepower of a train gun, he really wouldn't have anything to fear.

"Okay, since you've made up your mind."

Seeing that Helian was about to leave to deal with other matters, Renault immediately spoke, "By the way, if you're on the way, check on how P226 is doing with the training device. The driver waiting for the shift change over at wz.29 has been waiting for a long time, and if you have time, you can also try the training device. It won't hurt."

"Uh, I..."

She already underwent strict training when she was with Griffin. Now using the same training device as the dolls... isn't that a bit much?

hapter 48: Something is Wrong*

"It's hot."

"Of course it's hot. We're only a few hundred kilometers away from the equator now." G43 reluctantly took off her boat cap and fanned herself with it.

"If we had known this, why didn't we just bring down a Hydra or a Manticore? That way, we could sit on it instead of walking," M1919A4 suggested as she pinched her boat cap, though fanning herself with a soft hat offered little more than psychological comfort in this heat.

"What are you thinking? How is that even possible? Even if you did sit on it, it would probably just burn your skin," G43 glared at M1919A4 in annoyance, then looked back at PK and Stg-44, who were walking behind them. "Aren't you two hot?"

"Not really, thanks to this cloak," Stg-44 replied, raising her hand to take out a handkerchief, which she used to elegantly wipe her sweat. Her outfit hadn't changed much, but she was now wearing a white hooded cloak.

PK, walking beside her, was similarly dressed in a white cloak that wrapped her whole body tightly.

"Cloak? Isn't that the same thing I'm wearing?" M1919A4 strimprint out her hand and pulled at her cloak in surprise. It was a shiny black, resembling the coat on Renault.

"It's because of your cape! You idiot! Who wears a black cape in a place like this?"

"Huh? Aren't you wearing a black cape too?!" M1919A4 retorted indignantly, pointing at G43's cape.

"This is an electronic camouflage cape! It's equipment! And it's gray, not black!" G43 rolled her eyes. If there had been desert camouflage-colored electronic camouflage capes in the warehouse, she wouldn't have come out wearing this one.

As for activating the camouflage cape to change its color—sure, it was possible. But supplying energy to the cape would definitely cause the internal circuits to heat up, and in this temperature, it was better to avoid adding trouble for herself.

Well, it wasn't so hot that it was unbearable. G43 had only made a few casual remarks, but M1919A4 was really determined to find trouble.

In fact, they'd only been following Renault down from the spaceship for less than 20 minutes, and the distance they'd covered was only about two or three kilometers. After all, Renault's strides were big and fast, and M1919A4 had to jog to keep up.

The intelligence dealer who had found Renault on the black market was now in a town just a few kilometers ahead.

Although there was no collapse radiation in this area, it was still a barren desert due to the climate and environment, with no resources to be developed. The town in the distance looked old, and it was unclear whether there were any living people in it.

Stg-44 complained silently, but since Commander Renault hadn't said anything, he clearly had a plan in mind.

Since joining Renault, Stg-44 felt that the biggest difference between Renault and Griffin was probably that Commander Renault was truly reliable, as if nothing could stump him.

Moreover, he personally participated in combat missions. While this was done as a precaution, it was enough to make Stg-44 feel extremely reassured.

It wasn't that Commander Gentiane of Griffin was bad, but... she was just a little relieved that even if something really went wrong, there was a commander to take the blame... No, there was a reliable commander who could turn the tide in a critical moment...

You know, not all commanders at Griffin were as reliable as Commander Gentiane. Some commanders would even send dolls to the front lines without any ammunition, using them as bait or targets...

Although dolls could be remade if they were destroyed, after spending time with Renault, Stg-44 had long abandoned that mindset. If she could survive, she would prefer not to be cannon fodder.

"Be alert; there will probably be a fight soon." Just as G43 and M1919A4 were bickering and Stg-44 was lost in thought, Renault suddenly warned them.

G43 and M1919A4, who had been quarreling, immediately snapped to attention and squinted at the town ahead. Stg-44 also frowned and looked in the same direction, while PK unhesitatingly took out the machine gun she carried and loaded it with a click.

From a distance, the town appeared completely deserted, with no signs of life. They couldn't figure out why the intelligence dealer would stay in such an abandoned place.

Even if it was a professional requirement, they shouldn't settle in a place where they might not even see another living soul, right?

But... since Renault said there would be a fight, then there would definitely be a fight soon. The battles their commander, Renault, referred to as "fights" were just small-scale skirmishes for them.

For Renault, though, these small-scale conflicts were really no different from a street brawl.

G43 looked around and activated her detection module but didn't find any clues. It was possible that the enemy was using some technology to block signal transmission.

As for the life detector, they weren't close enough yet. They would need to move forward at least a few hundred meters for the life detector's effective range to cover the town.

"It doesn't look like there are any people. Should we try a couple of shots first?" M1919A4 asked eagerly.

She had finally won the opportunity to join this mission. If most of the other dolls hadn't already been deployed on missions, it wouldn't have been her turn to follow Renault this time.

After all, the weapon she carried was a heavy machine gun, a much bulkier weapon than the general-purpose machine gun PK was wielding. Usually, on a mission, lugging around such a big guy was not exactly convenient.

Besides, other dolls only need to carry magazines, clips, or small ammunition bags, but she needs a belt case every time she moves. Her imprint weapon cannot use magazines and drums like other dolls.

Although PK also uses a belt case, the key difference is that her belt case is small!

Unlike hers, which Griffin equipped with a large belt case that is almost as tall as she is.

While the ammunition is sufficient, the weapon itself is not small at all. If it's equipped with a special tripod...

Just as M1919A4 looked at Renault, hoping for his direct approval, Renault took out his phone and checked it. Then, he pulled out an AN94 seized from a military soldier from under his coat, raised his hand, and fired two shots into the sky.

What was that for?

The two shots that Renault fired suddenly made G43 and the others stare blankly, but G43 noticed that just after the gunshots, something moved in several inconspicuous corners of the town.

Seeing the suddenly distorted scenery, G43 frowned and looked down at the electronic camouflage cloak on his body.

Stg-44 made the same move. Clearly, the reason they hadn’t detected the enemy earlier was that the other side was also equipped with electronic camouflage cloaks, likely military-grade.

Otherwise, there’s no reason why no electrical signals would have been detected.

Thinking of this, G43 and Stg-44 exchanged glances, while M1919A4 and PK also scanned the surroundings, ready to attack at any moment.

"They didn't respond," PK, who had been silent before, raised her weapon after waiting a while and said to Renault.

"Yeah," Renault nodded, a little suspicious.

Could it be that he was deceived this time? Did the intelligence dealer deliberately lure him here to capture him and extort the manufacturing technology of the spacecraft?

They were standing on an open road at the moment, with no cover around them. Although he had fired two shots, it was just to let the other party know he had discovered them.

Under normal circumstances, even if not all of the enemy revealed themselves, they would at least send someone to negotiate, right? Even bandits would shout a few lines when robbing people on the road.

But now, everyone remained where they were, clearly planning to kill them.

"Could it be that we found the wrong place?" Stg-44's concern wasn’t impossible. After all, this area was mountainous with complex terrain, making it likely to find the wrong location.

But that would only be the case for ordinary people. Renault didn’t think they had found the wrong place. The location provided by the intelligence dealer was in the center of this town.

And the signal sent by the dealer was definitely from here, so it was obviously impossible that they had made a mistake.

Without responding to Stg-44's question, Renault raised his hands and waved to both sides.

Seeing Renault's gesture, the dolls immediately understood, moved their feet, and rushed out in an instant!

Their new bodies plus the energy engine gave them explosive power far beyond that of humans! In just a moment, the dolls had sprinted dozens of meters to both sides!

Bang! Bang!

And just as the dolls reached cover, gunfire erupted from the town, with bullets landing on either side of Renault.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The gunfire of M1919A4 and PK was the first to respond, targeting several high positions in the town.

Because she didn’t often get a chance to go on missions, M1919A4 had already practiced extensively with her weapon in the training device. Now, with real guns and live ammunition, her hands didn’t even tremble.

Her heavy body, combined with the immense strength she possessed, allowed her to handle the heavy machine gun weighing over ten kilograms as if it were a standard weapon. After a barrage of bullets, no one could withstand such precise and continuous attacks!

"Uh—" One of the figures crouched in the shadows of the rooftop let out a half-scream just as the two PKs opened fire.

The abruptly cut-off scream was naturally because he was hit by the bullets fired by the two PKs.

Although he was wearing an electronic camouflage cloak, he lacked heavy bulletproof gear and didn’t have layers of bulletproof plates on his chest.

So, when the scream was abruptly silenced, it was because he had been torn to pieces by the bullets!

Besides the unfortunate guy targeted by M1919A4 and PK, several other armed personnel wearing electronic camouflage were also picked off by G43 and Stg-44.

There were only seven armed personnel in electronic camouflage cloaks. The two farthest away were shot down by PK and another. The five closer targets were taken down by G43, and Stg-44 only had to deal with the nearest one.

After confirming that there were no more enemies ahead, Stg-44 sighed in relief. Fortunately, she had found time to ask Scarecrow to help her modify her imprint weapon while on the ship, or she might not have been able to get the last one.

After all, they were still a bit far from the town at this point, even after rushing several hundred meters into it.

Soon after the gunfire ceased, voices were heard from within the town. It sounded like there were more armed elements hiding inside, likely numbering forty or fifty.

Hearing the noise in the distance, Renault frowned. He had known there were people in this town and quite a few of them. He had assumed they were either subordinates or partners of the intelligence dealer, or others who had come to trade with the dealer, just like him.

But now it appears that hat the armed personnel in this town had nothing to do with the intelligence dealer.

This is strange. Renault didn’t understand what the intelligence dealer was up to.

Given his line of work, the dealer should be aware of Renault's combat capabilities, right? Although Renault hadn't displayed his full prowess in front of others, the combat effectiveness of the tactical dolls should be taken seriously by anyone dealing with him.

Renault took out his mobile phone and checked it. The signal from the intelligence dealer was still coming from within the town, likely from the end of the road running through it.

Unlike the earlier positions, most of the armed personnel—or mercenaries—were now gathered in the town's center.

PK had already searched the sentry killed by Stg-44, and Renault noticed the mismatched equipment on the body.

There were protective items from well-known manufacturers, along with various homemade gadgets. The clothes on his body were a mix, clearly indicating he wasn’t a regular soldier.

Even Griffin's human fighters wouldn’t wear such mismatched outfits on a mission, so there was only one possible identity for these people.

Mercenaries.

Why not bandits? Because no bandit would dare confront someone carrying several tactical dolls alone.

"Quick! Hurry up! Go and see what's going on!" Before Renault and his team could take a few steps forward, shouts from the mercenaries echoed from the front.

Chapter 49: Good, Very Good

"Commander, didn't you notify the intelligence dealer when you came?"

As the mercenaries gradually approached the location of Renault and the others from the center of town, M1919A4's life detection module responded. First, it detected one or two signals, then more than ten. In less than two minutes, her life detection module registered more than sixty signals.

"Definitely not; they are about to rush out. Can you pay attention?" G43 raised her gun and pointed at an armed man who had rushed out with a gun and was now hiding behind a bunker, watching them silently.

"I'm watching, watching. The commander hasn't given the order to open fire yet. Otherwise, these guys would have been turned into sieves!"

The life detection module had marked the exact locations of these individuals, and she had been keeping an eye on them for a while.

In all this time, except for moving stuff in the spacecraft, this was the first time she had been on a mission with Renault, and she was growing impatient!

Renault frowned as he observed the situation, took out his phone, and tried to contact the intelligence dealer.

However, there was no response to his message, and no one answered his call... He should have investigated this more thoroughly earlier. It appears that the people recommended by Helian are not always so reliable.

"Well, Commander, hurry up..."

Should we hide for a while? You’re walking slowly down the avenue, and it looks a bit dangerous!

Stg-44 wanted to warn her, but Renault raised his hand and waved, indicating she didn't need to worry. "If they open fire, return fire immediately."

This time, he didn't intend to fight. After all, he just wanted to find an intelligence dealer to buy some information about the yellow zone or the red zone. Although some of this information was indeed priceless, not everyone could enter those polluted areas and retrieve the valuable items inside.

At the very least, the people in front of him weren't among those who could. Although the sentinels were equipped with electronic camouflage cloaks and shields that could block biological features, these things had long been sold everywhere on the black market.

If a mercenary couldn't even acquire these items, they must be truly poor.

Now, the mercenaries who had come into Renault's view had a hodgepodge of equipment on them, appearing to use all sorts of homemade gear. While they may have stored away their radiation protection equipment, with their current gear, it was obviously impossible for them to enter the contaminated area and emerge unscathed.

If the intelligence dealer wasn't trying to trick him, then these mercenaries were after something else.

What could the intelligence dealer have that would cause such a stir among the mercenaries? Sending all their members just for an intelligence dealer—it must be something very valuable to them.

Something valuable, or something that could significantly increase the strength of the mercenaries.

To be honest, Renault couldn't pinpoint what it might be, as there were too many possibilities. It could be some sort of mechanical prosthesis with outstanding performance, a powerful mech or power armor, or even a potent weapon.

When it comes to valuable items, there were simply too many possibilities to count.

As Renault pondered, the mercenaries had already spotted him walking slowly down the avenue, as well as the sentries who had fallen on their side.

"Enemy attack--!"

A shrill cry rang out as they discovered the situation.

Boom boom boom boom!

M1919A4 pulled the trigger almost simultaneously with the cry. The skills practiced in the training device were finally put to full use at this moment.

The heavy machine gun, which should have had significant recoil, seemed to have none in her hands. A series of bullets hit the low wall in front of the mercenary who had cried out.

The concrete low wall, which should have been able to block some bullets, failed to serve its purpose at that moment. The position where the mercenaries were hiding was directly penetrated by the bullets fired by M1919A4 in just two or three seconds!

The mercenaries behind the low wall didn't even have time to scream this time; they were shot through the neck and head, dying instantly.

G43 also picked up her weapon and targeted the mercenaries who dared to show their heads, intending to attack them.

When the doll attacked, there was no fluctuation in her heart, and her shooting posture didn't waver at all. Before her body upgrade, she might have been inaccurate due to the poor performance of the fire control core and the deformation of her movements.

But after the body upgrade, that issue was gone. The heavy body and powerful strength completely absorbed the recoil of the gun, turning the weapon in her hand, which fired full-power bullets, into a toy gun with no recoil.

PK was the same at this time. The machine gun in her hand was like a precision shooting rifle; it hit wherever the muzzle pointed.

PK was obviously in a good mood now. Stg-44 could clearly see the corners of PK's mouth slightly turning upward, a rare sight!

Compared to the time when she had to use a tripod to control her weapon while with Griffin, she was now much stronger. She could even ensure that the bullet spread didn’t exceed the size of a fist during full automatic fire.

Seeing that the three people beside her had already started engaging, Stg-44 felt like crying for some reason.

She should have asked Scarecrow to modify her weapon more thoroughly! Otherwise, she wouldn't be suffering from this lack of range now!

At this distance, although she could hit the enemies, her efficiency and power were nowhere near that of the other three...

Renault had confirmed that the intelligence dealer had either fled or was dead, but they might still find the information he needed from the storage medium the dealer carried.

After all, not all intelligence dealers could remember everything they needed to, like Renault.

"Okay, let's go. You guys cover behind me. Stg-44, follow me." Renault put his phone back in his pocket, picked up the AN94 that he had temporarily taken as a weapon, and rushed directly towards the town!

Hiss!

Seeing Renault rush out without a word, Stg-44 gasped and hurriedly chased after him. In her haste, she couldn’t even keep up with Renault's pace.

At this moment, Stg-44 truly realized just how outrageous her commander was.

Fortunately, Renault wasn't sprinting at full speed; he still made sure to accommodate Stg-44's initial pace.

But even so, the distance of more than 600 meters took the two of them only 20 seconds to cover.

In just 20 seconds, all the mercenaries who had dared to show their heads and attack PK and the others had fallen under their guns.

The only ones left were those mercenaries still hiding behind more solid bunkers, too afraid to show their heads and assess the situation.

"There are 33 people left." After arriving at the outer wall of the building on the edge of town, Stg-44 checked her life detection module. The remaining 33 people were clearly detected by the module.

"Don't rely too much on that thing. It's not cutting-edge equipment anymore."

Life detection modules were already mature products as early as the Third World War.

While not common among the general population, these devices are not rare for special forces and mercenaries. Correspondingly, methods to counteract life detection devices have long been mature and reliable.

The shielding equipment on the sentinels earlier is clear proof of this.

The number of remaining mercenaries detected by Renault was far greater than what Stg-44's and PK's life detectors had identified. A full twenty people were not detected by the life detectors, and there were even ten people that Renault hadn't noticed before.

The reason they weren't detected was purely because those individuals hadn’t moved at all—they were all in a dormant state. Additionally, there seemed to be an underground facility within the town that could block external detection, so even Renault didn't notice the ten mercenaries that suddenly appeared later.

Fortunately, the mercenary units that weren't detected by the life detector were not in the same direction as those that were detected, making it easier for him to assign tasks.

"The thirty-three mercenaries are yours, and I'll handle the remaining twenty. Remember not to expose yourself."

Renault said this while gesturing and pointing out the positions of the enemies that Stg-44 "couldn't see."

Upon hearing this, Stg-44 didn’t feel anything was unfair. After all, there were only thirty-three mercenaries, which was nothing to her now, and she had G43 and the others in the distance to cover her.

If those mercenaries came out of hiding, she wouldn't need to do anything at all—G43 and her team would take them out.

Her mission was to eliminate or force out those enemies hiding in the blind spots of G43 and her team.

As for Renault's situation... she really didn't know, as neither the detector nor the life detection module was registering anything at the moment.

However, the current situation didn't allow Stg-44 to hesitate, because Renault had already rushed out as soon as he finished speaking!

Seeing that her commander had taken action, Stg-44 couldn’t afford to wait for the perfect opportunity. She immediately raised her weapon and charged toward the nearest mercenary!

Da da da da!

The distinctive gunshots of the Stg-44 echoed through the town at that moment.

Upon hearing gunfire that was different from their own weapons, several mercenaries couldn't help but poke their heads out from behind their bunkers, trying to confirm Stg-44's exact location.

It would have been better if they hadn't exposed themselves, but now that they had, G43 and the others had a clear opportunity to attack!

In just a few seconds, eight out of the thirty-three mercenaries were directly taken down by G43 and her team, in addition to the one felled by Stg-44.

Stg-44 certainly wasn’t done. Holding her gun, she jumped into the building where the second target was hiding.

Da da da da!

Progress on Stg-44's side was smooth, and Renault's side was equally successful, but what he encountered truly surprised him.

Although these individuals still appeared human, Renault could tell that all the organs and limbs in their bodies had been replaced with prosthetics designed for combat.

Additionally, these mercenaries were wearing thick bulletproof vests, with slings fully inserted. The extra strength provided by their mechanical prostheses made them ignore the insignificant weight.

Clearly, these mercenaries were on a whole other level, both in combat skills and equipment, compared to those he had encountered before. If it weren't for the fact that the weapons in their hands weren't military-issue, Renault might have suspected the military was playing tricks on him again.

Fortunately, although these mercenaries were heavily protected, their faces were still exposed. Hitting them in the forehead with the weapon in his hand wouldn't be a problem.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Aiming at the three mercenaries closest to him, Renault fired three short bursts, all aimed at their faces and foreheads!

"Ouch!" Two of the three mercenaries hit fell to the ground immediately after the bullets struck their heads, but the next second, their screams rang out.

Clearly, Renault's attack, despite knocking down one of the mercenaries, hadn't fully incapacitated them.

"Damn it! That guy's over there! Kill him!" Faced with the sudden attack, this group of well-trained mercenaries scattered almost instantly, and their weapons were aimed at Renault without hesitation.

Whether they hit him or not, they would suppress Renault with bullets first, allowing them to take more advantageous positions!

When Renault saw the mercenaries drop and then sit up again, his face darkened. He looked down at the AN94 in his hand and realized it had been a mistake to bring this weapon.

Even though the magazines were loaded with original military armor-piercing bullets, these mercenaries had obviously accounted for this kind of ammunition, and all the shots he fired were blocked.

What had blocked the bullets wasn't anything ordinary—it was the mercenaries' skulls, specifically, a layer of bulletproof plates implanted under the skin on their foreheads!

One of the mercenaries even had a metal bridge on their nose! Needless to say, it must be bulletproof material. These cybernetic lunatics had clearly modified their bodies to the extreme.

Seeing the fearless actions of these mercenaries, Renault almost guessed that the level of modification in their bodies must be consistent. Otherwise, there was no reason why he would encounter three mercenaries with bulletproof plates implanted in their foreheads.

As a result, the AN94 in Renault's hand had effectively become a useless stick that couldn't serve any real purpose...

Chapter 50: Where Did He Hide?**

Renault curled his lips, realizing he had brought the wrong weapon, but he didn’t stop.

So what if it was the wrong one? Even a stick can kill people.

He had just stepped off the spaceship to buy intelligence from a dealer. Under normal circumstances, an hour would have been more than enough.

But who would have thought that the location given by the dealer, although uninhabited, would have a group of mercenaries gathered there? The most outrageous part was that some of these mercenaries had transformed themselves like robots, and there were as many as twenty of them.

Carrying the AN94 in his hand, Renault rushed out from behind the bunker. The mercenaries' attacks couldn’t keep up with his speed.

Although these mercenaries had transformed themselves like robots, their prosthetics were obviously not as fast as their thoughts.

The speed of their metal prosthetics was always a step behind Renault. Often, just as they locked onto his figure, Renault had already moved behind another bunker. In just a few seconds, he had moved back and forth between a dozen different spots, getting closer and closer to the mercenaries.

Every time they managed to lock onto their target but didn’t have time to pull the trigger, several mercenaries grew impatient. They couldn’t resist using their weapons anymore. Just as when they first found Renault, they held the trigger tightly and fired at the approximate location where he was hiding.

As they fired wildly at a house’s wall, a figure broke through a window and rushed in front of one of the mercenaries!

Crash!

“What! Ga!” The mercenary who saw the figure in front of him didn’t even have time to react. He found a gun barrel in his mouth, stabbing his throat, with the muzzle brake lodged in his teeth!

Bang bang bang!

Even if the skull is equipped with bulletproof plates, and the jaw and cheekbones are bulletproof, the inside of these mercenaries' mouths is still fragile. Although replaced with inorganic materials, the strength of these materials cannot stop bullets.

The bullet penetrated the opponent's skull, and the mercenary in front of him had lost his reaction, being held by Renault as a human shield.

The AN94 in Renault’s hand had almost completed its mission. The tactic of putting the muzzle into the mouth doesn’t always work.

Now it was time for something more challenging.

...

Boom!

Stg-44’s high-heeled boots turned into a door-breaking hammer. The dilapidated door was smashed into pieces and flew towards the mercenaries in the room under her kick!

“Uh!?”

Da Da Da!

Amid the mercenaries’ screams, Stg-44 shot down two guys hiding by the window who had been firing at her. Thanks to them, the cloak she was wearing was completely ruined.

While Stg-44 was moving through the town, M1919A4 and PK, who had stayed in position, took the opportunity to rush in, leaving G43 to slowly approach and look for chances to cover Stg-44’s actions.

“PK, can you see what’s going on with the commander?” Although she also had to deal with more than 30 people on her side—well, there should be 20 left now—she was confident she could complete the task intact.

With her new body and the training she had undergone, she was quite confident. The only thing she was slightly worried about was Renault.

Although she didn’t know why Renault asked her to deal with these mercenaries, Stg-44 didn’t think Renault would be the type of commander to throw difficult tasks onto others.

Given Renault's personality, if he made this request, the foes he was facing were likely more formidable than these mercenaries.

“I can’t see it now, but... I can detect some chaotic electrical signals, which seem to be the control modules of prosthetic limbs—cheap ones.” PK raised her gun and glanced at the mercenaries on the life detector, immediately frowning.

The gunfire in the town doesn’t match the number displayed on the life detection module. Stg-44 probably noticed this too.

“Prosthetics? Yeah, they’re popular among mercenaries. Many modify their bodies, with some even turning themselves into Mechas.”

“Mechas? Don’t be ridiculous! That’s totally impractical. The size alone is wrong!”

“Hey, what’s the big deal? Just install a life support device on the remaining part and fix it to the cockpit.”

Hearing M1919A4’s words, G43 and Stg-44 suddenly felt a chill. Replacing the entire body with prosthetics might be acceptable, but turning into a mecha? Even they didn’t want to become something like that.

What’s the difference between that and becoming a piece of steel?

“Ouch! Don’t change the subject! Ah!”

“What’s wrong, Stg-44?”

“Nothing, just a guy lying in the bathtub trying to ambush me. I’ve taken care of him.”

“Well, these mercenaries sure are imaginative.” G43 commented, but then caught a glimpse of a figure in a black coat grabbing another figure and rushing directly across the town’s central road.

“Ah! I saw the commander! He is... fighting a robot...?”

“I saw it too! PK! Hurry up and get rid of these mercenaries so we can support the commander!” M1919A4, who was advancing into the town, saw this as well and immediately quickened her pace.

“Be careful not to get ambushed by these guys; they always hide in strange places and take potshots!” Stg-44 warned.

PK didn’t rush in, noticing that the equipment and actions of these mercenaries were completely different from those of the Sangvis Ferri they had encountered before. These mercenaries hid themselves well, unlike the Sangvis Ferri who charged forward with arrogance.

“Got it! Got it! Worst case, I get shot a few times! I’ll just repair my skin later!”

M1919A4 didn’t care. To kill these mercenaries quickly, she was willing to take a few hits.

Compared to leaving Renault in a tight spot, the bionic skin on her body was insignificant.

Stg-44 might hide a bit, but M1919A4 rushed forward boldly, behaving almost like those Sangvis Ferri dolls.

Charging straight toward the nearest life signal, M1919A4 didn’t bother entering the house. Instead, she went directly to the window, ignoring the fact that she wasn’t as tall as the windowsill, and raised her weapon to fire into the room.

Although the move looked silly, the life signal in the room disappeared under her burst of fire.

“One!”

“Two!”

“Three!”

Faced with M1919A4 charging at them with a heavy machine gun, these mercenaries had no time to react. Often before they could even respond, M1919A4 had already flanked or even gotten behind them.

Seeing M1919A4 moving fast, Stg-44 and PK followed suit, speeding up. The sound of gunfire suddenly intensified outside the town, now divided into three areas.

When Stg-44 was alone, the mercenaries could still take shots at her. But when the three dolls advanced into the town almost simultaneously, the mercenaries didn’t bother firing in other directions.

What a joke—if a doll that can kick down a wall is running around near them, and can clearly locate their positions, how can they continue hiding?

If they don't seize the opportunity to kill these dolls, they will die!

But they were still overthinking it. Without knowing the dolls under Renault, they thought they could kill these three dolls with the ordinary weapons in their hands. That was a bit too optimistic.

At this time, G43, who had climbed to the roof of a small building on the edge of town, also grinned.

After M1919A4 and the others caused such a commotion, all the mercenaries couldn’t contain themselves. Almost all of them emerged from behind their cover and attacked Stg-44 and the other two.

Whether they could hit the three dolls wasn't the question; now G43 could directly call out the names of these mercenaries!

These mercenaries all wore some form of facial protection, such as goggles or face shields.

Unfortunately, most of these were just civilian products. They could block stray bullets and shrapnel, but against the full-power armor-piercing bullets fired by G43, there was no other outcome but being pierced through.

Although the style remained the same, the weapons in the hands of the dolls had already been modified by the Scarecrow. The overall material was replaced with something more solid, and the bullets were swapped for homemade ones crafted on the spacecraft.

If Stg-44 and the others were killing those mercenaries every few seconds, then G43 had emptied the magazine in one go. Every one of the dozen bullets left in the extended magazine found its target.

Just after G43's dense gunfire, the entire town's periphery suddenly fell silent. The previously intense gunfire vanished instantly. Only three or four mercenaries who hadn’t reacted yet remained, raising their weapons and trying to take down the three PKs with reckless abandon.

"The rest is up to you." G43 said this, but quickly changed the magazine in her hand and aimed at one of the confused mercenaries.

Da da da da!

Stg-44's gunfire rang out, and the last few mercenaries were directly shot down by Stg-44, who had flanked them from the side. The entire town's periphery suddenly became quiet, with only the sound of gunfire echoing from the town's center.

"Go, go, go! Find the commander!" M1919A4 didn't mind Stg-44 stealing her kills and continued rushing toward the town center with his heavy machine gun.

However, the gunshots outside the town were rapidly decreasing, and the gunfire at the town's center was following the same pattern.

Although they were unarmed, these mercenaries with prosthetic limbs weren’t enough to pose a threat to Renault. Dealing with them was just a bit troublesome.

Bang!

With a single kick from Renault, the neck of a mechanical mercenary was twisted into a 90-degree angle! The life-support tubes in the neck, used to supply energy to the brain, burst directly from the broken end!

Only 20 mechanical mercenaries—it was certainly not harder to deal with them than with the same number of fanatics. If a fanatic were standing here, it’s likely they would have chopped these guys into pieces within a minute.

Renault swung the mechanical leg he had taken from a mechanical mercenary and used it as a blunt weapon, smashing it directly onto another mercenary's head.

The metal skull that could block bullets instantly caved in! You could even see some sort of solid-liquid mixture gushing out of the guy's ears.

"Tsk, are all of them this advanced now?"

This was much more difficult to handle than the robbers and mercenaries he had dealt with in the past, who came to rob convoys and supplies.

He now somewhat missed the psionic blade of the Protoss. Although it consumed some psionic energy, with that thing in hand, not to mention these mechanical mercenaries, even the Minotaurus he had encountered before wouldn’t withstood the psionic blade’s attack.

After returning, he can find some time... Forget it, let’s finish what's at hand first...

Throwing away the mechanical leg, Renault dodged and rushed toward the only remaining mechanical mercenary. After knocking away the weapon in his hand, Renault kicked him to the ground, then ripped off the two seemingly solid prosthetic limbs.

Although it was unclear what had happened, Stg-44 and the others arrived just in time to see this scene.

"You monster!?" The mercenary, whose arms had been torn off, lay on his back, struggling to stand up, yelling at Renault!

Ignoring the curses, Renault asked directly, "What are you doing here? Where is the intelligence dealer codenamed Turban?"

Faced with Renault's question, the mechanical mercenary clearly didn’t intend to answer. While cursing, he struggled with his legs to try to escape from Renault, the freak who "couldn't be killed no matter what."

Though the mercenary didn’t answer, Renault had already gathered the information he needed from his thoughts. He immediately picked up a piece of metal debris from the ground and threw it into the mercenary’s eye socket.

"Uh, he didn't answer, did he?" Stg-44 whispered to M1919A4 in confusion. Wasn’t it a bit too hasty to kill him before extracting information?

"It's okay, as long as the commander's expression doesn’t change, there's no problem!" M1919A4 confidently raised her thumb and said to Stg-44.

"Is everything over there cleaned up?" Renault raised an eyebrow and asked, looking at the several dolls rushing over.

"Of course, all life signals have been eliminated!" M1919A4 replied with a smile.

"Let G43 keep an eye on it. There might be someone who slipped through the cracks over there. The person might have a shielding device on them."

"Huh? Really? I don’t see anyone alive here," G43 said, frowning after hearing the news conveyed by Stg-44 and the others. She stood on the high ground, looking suspiciously at the houses that were about to become ruins.
