Chapter 1: The Strange Ceiling That Can Never Be Strange Again
Looking at the undulating water surface beneath the bridge, Jiang Zheng took a cold breath. After making an effort to contribute to the global warming, he continued to walk along the sidewalk with a package in his hand.
"I am really impressed by this courier. They delivered it to me across a bridge so far away, and I don’t know what’s in this package..."
After weighing the subtle sound and weight of the package, Jiang Zheng still couldn't remember who sent it to him. The female voice that called him seemed somewhat familiar, yet also unfamiliar.
Really familiar.
"Forget it, let’s go back and open it to have a look..."
With the idea of returning to open the box, Jiang Zheng walked back.
While contemplating what to do next, he suddenly stepped on a small stone and fell to the side, colliding with the nearby railing which was loose for some reason.
Along with the package, Jiang Zheng fell directly from the bridge.
"Ahhh!!!!"
Then with a splash, Jiang Zheng fell into the water, hitting the back of his head first and knocking himself unconscious.
At the same time, the contents of the package emitted an astonishing blue light that enveloped Jiang Zheng in an instant, only for him to disappear the next moment.
Only the paper package, devoid of any information, floated on the water before gradually sinking to the bottom and becoming buried.
Even the loose railings returned to normal at some point, unnoticed by anyone. Everything was as usual.
...
"Sister, sister! Come here! I saw someone here!"
"Libeccio, take me to see it!"
On a seashore in the Sardinian Empire, Libeccio hurriedly pulled her Sister Maestrale to her destination, as it was very important that she had encountered an unconscious human—this person was Jiang Zheng.
"Sister, look! He’s still alive!!"
After pulling her sister Maestraleto the spot, Maestralestretched out her little index finger and touched Jiang Zheng’s philtrum to test for breath. Upon confirming he was still breathing, she cheered happily, but Maestrale felt a little helpless.
"Libecciol, if this person were dead, we’d be in trouble. We should move him. If we leave him like this, his body temperature will drop and he could freeze to death soon."
Compared to her lively sister, Maestrale said this with a tone of concern. Then, she and her sister pulled Jiang Zheng whose body was half-submerged in the water up onto the shore.
Looking at the peaceful figure of the man who had fainted, Maestraledecided to inform Trento.
However, as she gazed at the man they had pulled from the water, Maestrale felt an unknown attraction, compelling her to look at him more closely. This sensation was strange—unprecedented.
"Sister, are we just going to leave him here?"
Seeing her sister Maestralepulling the man onto the beach, Libecciostared at him. She didn’t urge her sister to hurry but kept gazing at him, feeling warmth and comfort.
Yet, after sensing that his physical condition is declining, Libecciofinally asked, “What should we do?”
"Well... well! Let’s take him in first. After all, he’s just a human, and this is a bit strange..."
Having made her decision, Maestrale nodded and watched her sister lift the man like a sandbag. She didn’t say much, merely suppressing her doubts for the time being.
...
"Uh... strange cei- No, It is really a strange ceiling."
Jiang Zheng gradually regained consciousness. Before he opened his eyes, he felt a dull pain at the back of his head. As he slowly opened his eyes, he saw a peculiar ceiling.
After muttering some nonsense, he suddenly sat up and looked around at the strange environment.
Jiang Zheng glanced down at his clothes.
Well, someone had changed them, but not completely. He could still feel that his underwear was wet. This sensation was decidedly unpleasant.
When Jiang Zheng tried to recall what had happened before, he felt a migraine, as if someone had beaten him while he was sleeping. Though his memory was a bit fuzzy, he remembered falling into the water. The unfamiliar surroundings made him uneasy.
"...Let me think about it. If I hadn’t been rescued by someone, then I’d probably be dead."
With a playful mindset, Jiang Zheng was about to get off the bed and thank his rescuers when a small and cute green figure walked in. Upon seeing him sitting up, she displayed a surprised expression. She took two steps forward and stared at him with particular curiosity.
"Ciao!!! Strange stranger! You finally woke up! It seems that today is also a day full of hope!! My name is Libeccio! My sister is Maestrale!!"
After staring at Jiang Zheng’s face for a while, Libeccio realized she hadn’t introduced herself.
Taking a step back, she raised her arm and made a (∠・ω<)⌒☆ gesture, which looked particularly cute.
However, Jiang Zheng was stunned, for he had heard the last sentence. He looked at Libeccio with an incredulous expression.
The intensity of his gaze made her a bit shy, prompting her to take a small step back.
"I... if I heard correctly, your name is Libeccio, right?"
"Yeah! Yes! I am Libeccio! But my sister and I saved you. So, strange stranger, where are you from?" Libeccio nodded as she reconfirmed her identity and asking directly, but Jiang Zheng remained silent, overwhelmed by a turbulent wave of emotions.
Seeing that Libeccio truly resembled the character in the game art made Jiang Zheng sigh inwardly. 'Good news, I was rescued; bad news, I traveled into a different world.'
'The better news is that I traveled through not the cesspool called Terra, but Azure Lane.'
"What’s wrong? Why didn’t you reply to me all of a sudden?"
Noticing Jiang Zheng’s sudden daze, Libeccio asked with some concern. After all, in her experience, human bodies are very fragile. Although they’re not easily broken, their condition can become life-threatening if something goes wrong.
"Libeccio, is he awake?"
Just then, a figure resembling Libeccio entered the room.
----
Chapter 2: Trento who had a Look of Longing
"Sister! He's awake!"
Seeing Maestrale come in, Libeccio jumped in front of her grabbing her hand and ran towards Jiang Zheng.
"Wait! Wait! Libeccio!"
Being pulled in front of this person by her sister, Maestrale's little face turned pale red, and her light red eyes looked at him with a slightly alert, curious, and complicated expression.
Because she was a bit introverted by nature, Maestrale didn't know what to say for a moment.
"...Hello, Maestrale. Thank you for saving me; otherwise, I would probably have become a drifting object on the sea."
Observing Maestrale's hesitance, Jiang Zheng recognized her shy nature and decided to take the initiative. He was sincere in his gratitude.
"No, no need... Uh, by the way, I forgot to introduce myself. Cough, let me lift the hem of my skirt with both hands and introduce myself..."
"Sardinian Empire destroyer! Maestrale, hello! By the way! This is clothes for you... Because we don't have men's clothes, please forgive me. The bathroom is over there... Please come to the reception room after taking a shower. Thank you!!"
"Sister!"
After nervously finishing her words, Maestrale stuffed the clothes she had prepared into Jiang Zheng's hands, then pulled the puzzled Libeccio and ran out.
Watching the backs of the two little cuties leave in a hurry, Jiang Zheng smiled reluctantly as he looked at the folded clothes, and then got off the bed.
No matter what, it was better to wash off the smell from his body first.
After a quick bath, Jiang Zheng changed into a white, neutral outfit. Looking at himself in the full-length mirror, he felt that if he had some horizontal stripes on him, he would probably look like he had just come out of a hospital.
"Oh no, I forgot to ask Libeccio where the meeting room is."
After leaving the room and entering the corridor, Jiang Zheng realized he had forgotten one important thing: asking for directions to the meeting room.
This place was enormous. As soon as he walked out, it felt like he was in a palace—complicated and sprawling. People with poor memories who frequently walked through it might easily get lost.
Fortunately, Jiang Zheng hadn’t taken a few steps before encountering a person with long blue hair whose half of her face was hidden behind her bangs while wearing a cloak.
She appeared troubled and hesitant, but when she saw Jiang Zheng, a look of surprise crossed her face. She approached him in quick steps, gazing at him with a particularly curious expression, which left Jiang Zheng at a loss, wondering who this ship girl was.
"Hmm~, you’re the one brought back by the Libeccio. Hello, sir. I am Trento, the Heavy Cruiser of the Sardinian Empire. Please follow me."
"Well, hello, Miss Trento. Let's go."
Sensing that he didn't recognize this ship girl, Jiang Zheng nodded and followed behind Trento while staring ahead as his thoughts began to drift.
He was completely unaware that Trento was glancing at him several times.
Eentually, she slowed her pace to walk alongside him, finally revealing a faint smile and initiating conversation.
"Well, what is your name, sir? Although the two children Maestrale and Libeccio are fine, they didn’t tell me. Besides, are you okay now?"
She wore a troubled expression, as if worried about not knowing his name and finding it difficult to communicate.
"Oh, my name is Jiang Zheng. I'm fine. The water was just a little cold, but I feel better after washing up."
"That's good! So, Mr. Jiang Zheng, you must be from Dragon Empery. I didn’t expect you to come from a far place. Dragon Empery... I wonder where the delicious foods are..."
After learning his name, Trento's face lit up with a yearning expression, and Jiang Zheng was sure this was the look of a foodie.
"Food? There are too many delicacies to mention. I have some cooking skills. In return, how about I make a few dishes for you later?"
Jiang Zheng said confidently.
For someone who occasionally cooks, he had no problem, even if he only knew a few dishes.
"I didn’t expect Mr. Jiang Zheng to be able to cook! That’s wonderful! Well, I want to taste it quickly."
Trento blinked happily. She was little surprised that he could cook. At the same time, the distance between them gradually shortened. A more curious look appeared in her eyes, and she became increasingly interested in the person beside her.
More importantly, Trento sensed that Jiang Zheng exuded an aura that attracted her. This feeling was strange. It was like the alluring fragrance of flowers gradually blooming, tempting her to learn more about him.
"By the way, does Jiang Zheng like to drink black tea?"
"It's okay, but I don’t know much about it."
The two exchanged words with happy smiles. Not long after, they arrived at the door of the conference room, where a guard stood at attention, their loyal expressions evident.
Just a cute little face showing loyalty made Jiang Zheng smile, and he recognized the ship girl.
The girl standing straight in front of him was actually the Sardinian ship girl, Dragoon.
"Trento... Sir! And this..."
"Jiang Zheng; his name is Jiang Zheng," Trento replied.
Upon hearing his name, the trouble on Dragoon's face quickly dissipated.
"Mr. Jiang Zheng, I am Dragoon, the escort of the flagship Veneto of the Sardinian Empire. Hello."
"Sir Vittorio Veneto and Sir Littorio are waiting for your arrival. Please come in."
After knowing his name, Dragoon seriously announced it, raising her hand to open the door and gestured for them to enter, leading them in.
"Hello, Dragoon."
After offering a polite thank you, Jiang Zheng followed Trento into the spacious and bright reception room. Before he could seriously take in his surroundings, he heard a crisp and confident voice.
"It seems our guests from afar have arrived, Veneto."
"In that case, we should stand up and greet our guests, Littorio."
Jiang Zheng turned toward the source of the voice. A woman with long green hair and a matching cloak sat on the sofa, swirling a goblet while looking at him with deep eyes.
Meanwhile, another woman with long silver-gray hair covered her forehead but then, as if giving up, approached Jiang Zheng and said apologetically, "Sorry, she’s always like this. Hello, guests from afar; I am Vittorio Veneto, the flagship of the Sardinian Empire."
Veneto extended her right hand to Jiang Zheng, greeting him with a faint smile.
---
Chapter 3: Discovering a New World
Jiang Zheng gently held Veneto's right hand. Although she was wearing gloves, he could still feel the softness and delicateness of her palm.
However, after Jiang Zheng held her hand and put it down, he noticed that Veneto did not let go for some reason. Instead, he felt that she was gradually trying to loosen her grip, but she remained tightly held.
Jiang Zheng could not help but glance at Veneto, who appeared to be lost in thought.
"Miss Veneto?"
"Sorry, Mr. Jiang Zheng. I lost my composure."
Veneto retuned to her senses. She sensed Jiang Zheng's doubts and the gazes of her companions. She quickly lowered her hand but, for some reason, wiped her nose with her right hand and sniffed calmly.
At that moment, Jiang Zheng thought nothing of Veneto's actions. He believed she was simply wiping her nose.
Meanwhile, Littorio, who had been watching their interaction, displayed a different smile as she stood up and inserted herself between the two.
"It seems that our flagship Veneto is very pleased with the arrival of our guest. How about letting Littorio entertain him next?"
"Vittorio Veneto Class No. 2, Littorio, one of the most powerful warships in the Mediterranean."
Standing between them, Littorio carefully observed Jiang Zheng. Although he was simply dressed in a white shirt and trousers, he appeared well-groomed and polite. But that wasn’t what caught Littorio's attention.
What mattered was the aura he exuded, a presence that drew her in.
More importantly, Littorio felt her mind gradually being captivated by him.
This is very intriguing.
"Veneto, you feel it too, right?"
"Yes, I feel something different—something very special."
Littorio whispered to Veneto, who nodded, her expression curious as she stared closely at Jiang Zheng.
"...Littorio, Veneto..."
At first, Jiang Zheng didn’t feel anything unusual while being gazed at by Littorio's direct eyes; he simply tried not to look at Littorio. However, the unfiltered expression in Littorio's eyes made him feel a bit uneasy.
It was as if he were a lamb being scrutinized by two hungry wolves, their eyes gleaming as they discussed the delicious meal they had just devoured.
It was quite unsettling.
"Ahem! Excuse me, Jiang Zheng. Littorio didn't expect you to possess such charm, much like Veneto and Littorio. It's amazing!"
Littorio cleared her throat, apologizing to Veneto, and then regarded Jiang Zheng with an admiring gaze.
"As an apology, in Dragon Empery's words, how about Littorio drinks three cups? But at the same time, Jiang Zheng, would you join Littorio for a drink? Littorio thinks we will have plenty of pleasant topics to discuss."
Littorio exchanged quick glances with Veneto. After making a few gestures, Veneto gradually understood, offering Jiang Zheng an apologetic nod before pulling Trento who had been watching the scene away, leaving only Littorio and Jiang Zheng in the reception room.
"Well, Veneto-sama, why do you want Littorio-sama to stay with Jiang Zheng?"
Trento who was pulled away by Veneto looked reluctant. She gazed at Veneto with confusion and doubt in her orange-red eyes.
Seeing that she wanted to say something but didn’t know how to express it.
"Jiang Zheng is a bit strange. Don’t you feel anything unusual?"
Veneto who had her arms crossed and a thoughtful expression asked, prompting several question marks in Trento’s mind.
"Well... I didn't feel anything unusual. Jiang Zheng is human, but I sense that he feels very approachable. I always think there are many topics to discuss with him, and he seems to enjoy black tea and food. I believe he is someone who can become my friend."
"If there is anything unusual... it seems he is not affected by us?"
Trento pondered for a moment and realized something she hadn’t paid much attention to: Jiang Zheng was not affected by their presence as ship girls!
"Yes, Trento. Jiang Zheng did not show any discomfort when interacting with us. On the contrary, when I touched him just now, I felt an urge to get closer."
"I have never seen anyone who can interact so closely with our ship girls and still feel comfortable around them. He is remarkable."
Seeing Trento’s understanding, Veneto nodded in satisfaction.
As a ship girl, a manifestation of the Mind Cube and endowed with a will and a steel body, Veneto naturally understood the consequences of close contact with humans.
When energy is used and dissipated, it can lead to various problems. The Mind Cube, being the source of all energy cubes, operates in the same manner. Ship girls are no exception.
Veneto had witnessed the aftermath of many attempts by people to interact with ship girls very closely. From initial mental discomfort to rapid physical weakening, no one dared to take that step.
It was as if a natural barrier isolated anyone who tried to breach it.
Furthermore, ship girls were particularly sensitive to malicious thoughts. This natural resistance and significant physical disparity made it nearly impossible for them to get close to humans.
However, in this unique situation, a person rescued from the beach could elicit no resistance from the ship girl and even inspire a strong sense of closeness.
For Veneto, this was undoubtedly like discovering a new world, akin to stumbling upon a rare and endangered creature. It was exhilarating.
It was like a cat encountering catnip, a person seeing a breathtaking painting, or a royal observing their favorite dish. It was like Sardinian friends finding Margherita pizza.
Forget about the pineapple pizza.
In short, regardless of her intentions, Veneto was determined to keep Jiang Zheng close for the time being. On the contrary, she wanted to build a deeper connection with him.
"I understand, Veneto-sama. I will do my best to keep Jiang Zheng here. Moreover, with Littorio-sama’s capabilities, she should get along well with him."
Trento nodded in agreement, supporting Veneto's intention, but Veneto raised her hand to her forehead. She was wearing a troubled expression.
"No, Trento. I’m already concerned..."
---
Chapter 4: Confidence (Really Depressed)
"Sorry, Littorio, I don't drink much." Seeing Littorio holding two glasses of wine in front of him, Jiang Zheng refused, which made her look regretful.
"Really? That's such a pity. You know, fine wine is one of the most wonderful creations in the world, especially the red wine that I, Littorio, personally prepared for you. That's a shame." Littorio shook her head, displaying a hint of regret on her beautiful face, and put down the red wine prepared for him.
Since Jiang Zheng didn't want to drink, Littorio wouldn’t engage in the tasteless behavior of persuading him to do so.
"But since we skipped the wonderful wine tasting, how about we get straight to the point? Guests from afar?"
"Where are you from? Why are you floating in our bay?"
"As far as Littorio is concerned, Littorio doesn't want to hear boring lies that waste time between us."
Littorio shook the goblet in her hand, and the crystal-clear, beautiful wine rippled in the small container in a regular manner, making her feel happy. Her eyes, as sweet as chocolate, were fixed on Jiang Zheng, wanting to know about him and be able to talk to him on equal footing.
Of course, the premise is that he must not lie.
"Of course, there is no problem with this, but do we have to stand and talk?"
Jiang Zheng looked at Littorio who was leaning on the sofa and then looked at himself standing there feeling like someone who was about to be punished, although the two were similar.
"...Ahem! I didn't expect to be so rude in front of you. I'm so sorry." Littorio was stunned for a moment, showing an apologetic expression.
After saying something self-deprecatingly, she sat on the sofa with him, preparing for this exchange. "Then can we start?"
"Of course."
...
...
...
"...Foreigner? That's really amazing. If it weren't for the honest feeling you exude, I would find it hard to believe. At least I thought you would be a siren or a spy planted by another country. Although I don't think anyone would dare to do that."
"Jiang Zheng, you are amazing."
After a brief conversation, Littorio displayed a surprised expression and mentioned that he came to Sardinia for some reason and was still alone, which made Littorio think more.
But in short, he didn’t lie, which made Littorio very happy, indicating that he is an honest person.
"Can you feel something like this?"
Jiang Zheng looked at Littorio, who was nodding silently, and at the movement of her round and plump legs overlapping each other. He couldn't help but glance at her a few more times, but when Littorio said that she could feel it, it struck him as very strange.
"Feeling is only one of the reasons. More importantly, you didn't lie in your movements and expressions. Although you feel nervous when facing Littorio's questions, you didn't lie to Littorio. This shows that there is still room for communication between us, Jiang Zheng."
With an affirmative smile, Littorio put down the wine glass that she had finished drinking and looked at him with admiration.
"Really? Thank you very much."
Jiang Zheng smiled, feeling happy about Littorio's praise. However, he also had a certain understanding of the current situation, which made him feel a little complicated.
He had traveled to another world, but he hadn’t arrived in his Port area, where he usually went online to see his wife; otherwise, he would have won directly.
It's a pity. Besides, Jiang Zheng didn’t know what time period it was. Although as a plot-jumping party, he had some understanding of the plot of Azur Lane.
Anyway, the Sirens were not the enemy of the ship girls, but they had made them evolve mentally. At the beginning, Iron Blood cooperated with the Sirens, Sardinia couldn’t sit still, the Iris was divided, and the Sakura Empire began to turn because of the treaty and the relationship with Amagi...
Jiang Zheng sighed and pondered in his heart, not realizing that every move he made was seen by Littorio. The latter narrowed her eyes and thought secretly, then came up with an idea and stood up.
Then, while Jiang Zheng wasn’t paying attention, Littorio sat beside him. Seeing that he was still deep in thought, she couldn’t help but smile and began to observe him closely. The more she looked, the more satisfied she became.
But then, she started to feel the mind cube in her body vibrating. Littorio was startled, temporarily suppressing the palpitations, and continued to talk to him. "What are you thinking about, Jiang Zheng?"
"Nothing. By the way, Lito... why are you sitting next to me?"
After being asked this by Littorio, Jiang Zheng, who had been lost in thought, subconsciously looked in her direction. Then, when he found no one beside him, he turned his head and saw that Littorio was sitting next to him at that moment, looking at him with an ambiguous smile.
For some reason, the strange feeling he had experienced when meeting Veneto and the others returned, and it was even more pronounced now, giving Jiang Zheng a sensation of being stared at motionless.
"There is no special reason. Littorio just wants to sit next to you and talk to you at such a close distance. Don’t you think this is a good way to promote our relationship?"
"Or do you feel nervous sitting next to Littorio? Well, if that's the case, that won't work."
"Because Littorio's charm is always radiating."
Seeing his nervous and excited expression, Littorio felt as if she had discovered something particularly interesting. Her smile became brighter, and she couldn’t help but tease him.
"Well... Let's talk about business, Littorio."
"Can I ask what the situation is like between you and the Royal Navy now?"
For some reason, Jiang Zheng felt that something was wrong at that moment, so he coughed lightly and prepared to change the topic to the overall situation. But Littorio couldn’t help but frown and look at Jiang Zheng with a somewhat restrained smile, expressing her thoughts in a casual tone.
"It's nothing, actually. The Royals are still firmly committed to the idea of Azur Lane, but they are calculating in their hearts. One side is watching the fight between us and wants to take the lead, while Dragon Empery remains motionless."
"But compared to these things, Jiang Zheng, Littorio thinks we should talk to each other about something more interesting."
"Or is it that Littorio's beauty is not enough to make you stay for a moment?"
Jiang Zheng listened to Littorio's increasingly inappropriate comments and began to feel a little overwhelmed.
If it weren't for the fact that Littorio was truly beautiful, he would have begun to say something.
Confident girl, you're really humble.
---
Chapter 5: Gonna be eaten by a Bad Woman
"Okay, I've finished what I needed to say and ask. Littorio, is there anything else you want to know?"
After a while, the direct message conversation between the two was almost over. After learning what he wanted to know, Littorio did not explore his past, nor did she engage in further discussions about the current situation.
On the contrary, Littorio wanted to know more about his current preferences and some happy things.
"You want to leave Littorio so soon? Oh, Jiang Zheng, this won't do. You are denying Littorio's charm."
"I don't understand what you want to say, Littorio."
After realizing that her arm had been holding his without him noticing, Jiang Zheng looked at Littorio with a worried expression and felt a little strange.
It was clear that he had not been in contact with Littorio for long—at most one or two hours. How could she become so familiar so quickly?
But Jiang Zheng didn’t say anything; he just felt that it was happening too fast.
Littorio had a playful glint in her eyes as she observed his every move, but she also knew that she couldn't rush things all at once. She had to proceed gradually, managing the distance and relationship between them so that things could heat up naturally.
"Okay, since you said so, after all, Littorio is not a tactless person. How about meet Littorio in the evening?"
Littorio calmly withdrew the hand that was holding his, interlaced her fingers, and placed them on her thighs, which were clad in silky black stockings. She moved her beautiful eyes and extended her invitation to him.
"In the evening?"
Listening to Littorio's straightforward invitation, Jiang Zheng felt a little caught off guard, shock evident in his eyes. He couldn’t help but wonder why she was taking the initiative.
Is it almost time? Or is there something wrong with him?
Unable to resist speculating, Jiang Zheng began to think about her intentions, trying hard to maintain a serious expression.
I can’t laugh! Hold it in! I can’t laugh now!
Seeing Jiang Zheng's tense face, which still couldn't hide from in her eyes, Littorio grinned and dispelled his random thoughts.
"Of course, it's at night... at dinner time. After all, as a guest of our Sardinia, as the second ship of Veneto Littorio of the Sardinian Empire, I must prepare a wonderful dinner for you, right?"
"Or are you actually thinking about something else?"
Littorio raised her hand and gently stroked her long hair, looking at Jiang Zheng playfully, making the tense expression on his face disappear instantly, replaced by an awkward, stiff smile.
"This, this... well..."
"Hehe~, Littorio didn’t expect her charm to reach this point, but it’s true! After all, this is Veneto Littorio! This is not surprising!"
Seeing the expression on Jiang Zheng's face, Littorio displayed a pleased and self-satisfied demeanor, which made Jiang Zheng who initially felt a bit embarrassed, feel awkward yet not rude.
"Okay, Littorio won’t bother you next. After all, everyone needs some private time. Let Trento take you to your room later. Now, Littorio will leave for the time being."
After feeling good about herself, Littorio stood up and swung her seductive round legs as she prepared to leave.
However, just as she was about to depart, Littorio thought of something. She turned back and bent down to whisper beside Jiang Zheng's ear in a subtle voice that only he could hear:
"Don't worry, there will be a chance."
After that, Littorio stood up straight and left without looking back, leaving Jiang Zheng alone in the living room, muttering to himself.
"It's bad; I'm gonna get eaten by a bad woman..."
---
"Littorio, what's wrong?"
In another room, Veneto looked at Littorio with concern while the latter stroked her long hair with a relaxed expression.
Of course, in this room, there were not only the two of them but also Zara, Pola, Aquila, the Duke of Abruzzi, and even Marco Polo, along with Roma and the Emero.
It could be said that almost half of the current combat power of the Sardinian Empire was present in this room.
All because of a stranger, Jiang Zheng.
"Don't worry, my Lord Veneto. Seeing Littorio's relaxed demeanor, I already know the result."
The speaker was a ship girl named Zara. She had a red spiral ponytail hanging over her shoulders, and her plump figure gave her an irresistible allure. Even if it was not her intention, her generous proportions ensured she remained at the forefront of the small room. Her soft, calm, and reliable personality always drew people's attention.
At this moment, she was cleaning and maintaining the hand-guard rapier she carried. Even if it was not often used in battle, the weapon still required good maintenance to ensure its durability.
Veneto listened to Zara's words, blinked, and looked at Littorio again. Just as Zara said, it was easy, which made Veneto feel more relaxed.
"That being said, is it really necessary for most of us to gather here just because of him?"
The speaker now was Marco Polo, who held a red heart-shaped scepter and sat with her legs crossed. Her beautiful eyes were slightly wrinkled in confusion.
"I really don’t understand why Littorio and the others gathered just because of a mere human."
In her view, shouldn’t such a trivial matter be handed over to the Council? After all, humans simply stayed quietly in the back, waiting for the protection of the ship girls.
Wasn't it a waste of time to gather everyone for this thing?
"I guess this person must be extraordinary. If not, Littorio and Veneto wouldn’t have summoned us here."
Aquila, who had a gray ponytail and was leaning against her seat while glancing at her pocket watch, explained for the two. However, she looked at Littorio in confusion, wondering if there was anything special about this Jiang Zheng.
"Aquila is right, but Veneto, you should explain. I still have important things to do."
Duke of Abruzzi sat up straight, awaiting her explanation, but she couldn’t help but urge her because she had matters to attend to. If this dragged on, she wouldn't wait any longer.
"Alas, waiting is also a form of enjoyment. Okay, Littorio won't delay any longer."
Littorio sighed and remarked that the group of people in front of her really couldn’t come together easily. They could slip away without reason, but then she stopped what she was doing and said with a serious expression:
"The person you are talking about, Jiang Zheng—he made my mind cube resonate!"
---
Chapter 6: Waiting for the Pizza to Be Spread with Toppings
"What! What?! Littorio! Do you know what you are talking about?"
When Littorio announced her answer, the ship girls present couldn't help but exclaim. Even though they knew Littorio wouldn’t deceive them, this revelation was still a bit shocking.
Especially Marco Polo, whose beautiful, delicate face displayed an expression of disbelief—absolutely impossible.
Yet, one could still see the reluctant smile on her face, especially the corners of her mouth, which trembled involuntarily.
"...Littorio, we're not saying that we don't believe you, but I think..."
After a moment, Duke of Abruzzi spoke first, a hint of trouble and surprise in her beautiful eyes. If she hadn’t trusted Littorio so much, she might have asked directly if she was awake.
"Of course, Littorio don't need to deceive you. I, Littorio, would never deceive my companions."
Littorio took in their expressions one by one, and a smug grin appeared on her face. If she had brought a camera, she would have taken pictures of their reactions to use in the future.
"And not only Littorio; Veneto and Trento have both had contact with Jiang Zheng, and they share the same feelings."
Duke of Abruzzi and others looked at Veneto, who nodded and could not deny her sister's words.
"Littorio is right. I’ve also had contact with Trento. It’s a special feeling. I can’t help but want people to get close to me, just like you. But he has a different... attraction." Veneto smiled as she expressed her feelings.
Even in just a few minutes of contact, she felt like bathing in warm sunshine. She subconsciously yearned to feel that warmth within reach—a bit like an empire. But more than that, there was a kind of intimacy that made people want to get close to him.
However, what Veneto and Littorio did not mention was that Jiang Zheng appear to carry a unique fragrance, a scent they both overlooked.
"In that case, his importance is self-evident, so let’s keep him and grant him a special, official identity."
Listening to their words, Roma who had been silent all along raised her head, a solemn expression present in her golden and blue eyes as she looked at Veneto and made her first suggestion.
Even though Roma's personality stood out among the Sardinians, it was undeniable that the current leadership belonged to Veneto. Thus, important decisions still needed Veneto's approval.
"This is natural, but deciding on this identity might be a bit challenging."
Veneto crossed her arms and frowned slightly, beginning to contemplate what kind of identity he should have. If an official identity were granted, it meant he would be under Sardinia's protection. The Senate could be bypassed, but assigning an appropriate identity was not so simple.
"Veneto, don’t worry; Littorio has some good ideas regarding this."
At this point, Jiang Zheng's stay in Sardinia was practically a foregone conclusion.
Littorio smiled confidently, and with a flicker of her beautiful eyes, she came up with a promising idea, her smile widening.
"Really? In that case, Littorio, tell me. As long as it’s suitable, I will support you."
While worrying about what official identity to assign Jiang Zheng, Veneto felt relieved and happy upon hearing Littorio's suggestion.
You must understand that Veneto, as the flagship of the Sardinian Empire, was particularly skilled at grasping the general direction and combat planning, but she instantly felt like a fool when it came to small details like this.
Of course, diplomatic matters could remain unspoken. So when Littorio claimed to have a good idea, Veneto breathed a sigh of relief and looked expectantly at her sister, hoping to understand her thoughts.
Yet just as Veneto exhaled her last sigh of relief, her apprehension returned.
"Don't worry; Littorio will give him a very good identity: he will be Littorio's lover!"
"No!!!"
Littorio had just shared her thoughts when Veneto immediately interrupted her.
"What? Veneto, don’t you believe in Littorio's personal charm? You know, I am Veneto Littorio. As one of the most powerful battleships in the Mediterranean, Littorio's strength and charm are undoubtedly exceptional!"
"Or, Veneto, do you have other bad ideas?"
Littorio wasn't angry at being interrupted; instead, she asked Veneto playfully, which made the latter a little nervous with her eyes drifting outside.
"This, this..."
Veneto replied hesitantly, unable to look Littorio in the eye. In truth, when Littorio suggested that she be Jiang Zheng's lover, Veneto felt a wave of anxiety and wanted to interrupt her sister’s misguided thoughts.
However, when Littorio posed that question, Veneto began to panic, unsure why she felt this way.
It was as if something that once belonged to her was being taken away, leaving her feeling uncomfortable.
"It's okay, Veneto; this is just a suggestion. But Littorio still plan to announce this news tonight."
"After all, if Jiang Zheng is like this and doesn't pay attention, he might be abducted by others, in all senses."
"By the way, Littorio will leave first. It's not a bad idea to have a slightly richer dinner today."
After observing her Sister Veneto’s every move, Littorio wasn't in a hurry because she knew her sister too well. In the past, Veneto would have simply yielded.
But this time was different. Littorio sensed that Jiang Zheng was like a pizza without toppings, just waiting for someone to add fillings.
If she delayed, someone else might take the best parts after smearing on the delicious toppings.
By that time, the best slices would be gone, leaving only the scraps behind, which would be less than satisfying.
With this thought in mind, Littorio left. If she wanted to enjoy a delicious pizza, she needed to make preparations in advance.
After Littorio departed, the ship girls present fell silent, each holding various thoughts in their hearts and feeling some anticipation for the dinner tonight.

Chapter 7: Amante (Lover)
"Come on! Jiang Zheng, sit down."
"Sit down; you can sit down, sit wherever you want."
"I understand the reason, but isn't there only one seat?"
Jiang Zheng looked at the only vacant seat between Veneto and Littorio and couldn't help but complain.
Littorio invited him to a welcome dinner today. Jiang Zheng thought that he was an outsider and had nothing to do with the ship girls, but he didn't expect the ship girls to be so enthusiastic.
He thought that maybe this was the enthusiasm of Europeans, and they still welcomed him, so he went.
After changing into the clothes Littorio prepared for him, he followed Littorio's steps.
Unexpectedly, when Jiang Zheng was brought to the restaurant by Littorio and saw a dozen ship girls sitting inside waiting for him, JiangZheng couldn't help but feel nervous.
What the hell is this feeling of being taken to eat together and being stared at and pointed at?
It feels like a sheep entering a tiger's mouth.
Fortunately, Jiang Zheng saw several ship girls he met today: Veneto, Trento, and two cute little Destroyers.
For some reason, Veneto looked absent-minded, but soon became energetic when she saw him, and the ship girl with red hair and an excellent bust was staring at him with interest.
Another ship girl holding a heart-shaped scepter was staring at him, but unlike the one just now, she had a different look in her eyes.
After quickly guessing their names, Zara and Marco Polo, Jiang Zheng sat between Littorio and Veneto, sitting in a serious manner, which made Littorio's mouth curl up.
"You just came here, and you can't wait to stare at beautiful women? As Littorio's amante (lover), you are really a playboy."
"...What are you talking about? I don't understand."
Turning his head to look at Littorio, who had a smile on her face, Jiang Zheng didn't understand what she said. After all, she said something else, but Jiang Zheng still knew that he should stop looking around.
"...Since Jiang Zheng is here, let's start eating."
Watching Littorio's intimate conversation with Jiang Zheng, Veneto felt a little lost, but she quickly cheered up and started eating.
"Jiang Zheng, how does this Naples pizza taste? Littorio thinks the wonderful taste that touches your taste buds must leave you with a good impression."
"The taste... is not bad! But I remember that pizza has a lot of fillings in it? The taste of this pizza seems... not so rich?"
"Oh, you are probably talking about the pizza from Eagle Union. Their pizza is thick and has a lot of sauce. The taste is tongue-tied. Believe Littorio, Naples pizza is much better than theirs."
"Is that so? By the way, Littorio, are you interested in pineapple pizza?"
"No, not at all. This is something that only the devil can think of. Jiang Zheng, if you have this idea, Littorio suggests you give it up as soon as possible; otherwise, you will lose Littorio."
"Ahem~, Littorio, please pay attention; it's not just you."
Seeing Littorio and Jiang Zheng getting along intimately and talking about pizza, Veneto couldn't help but feel a little envious, but at the same time felt helpless toward Littorio. There was no way, so she could only interrupt their happy conversation with mixed feelings.
"Veneto, you're right; I should pay attention."
After being reminded by Veneto, Littorio also stopped talking to Jiang Zheng, but there was not much apology on her face; rather, she looked complacent.
This feeling of being fed dog food made the ship girls present feel a little unhappy and made some of the ship girls look at Jiang Zheng with more complicated eyes.
Of course, there were also those who were more interested.
"Okay, in that case... Mr. Jiang Zheng, welcome to Sardinia. I wonder what you think during your time in Sardinia?*
Veneto put down her utensils, picked up a handkerchief, and gently wiped the sauce from the corner of her mouth. She looked at Jiang Zheng with a smile and spoke to him in a relaxed and gentle tone.
"...after arriving in the country of European food, Sardinia. It is so beautiful, Sardinia!"
After Veneto asked seriously, Jiang Zheng hurriedly wiped his lips and, after thinking for a moment, gave a steady and positive answer, thriving, all things flourishing, and full of vitality.
Listening to his casual praise, Veneto smiled gently and did not refute, but waited for him to finish and then said: "That's really great! I didn't expect that Jiang Zheng would have a good impression of us Sardinians. I don't know what you think next?"
Jiang Zheng was slightly stunned, then looked at Veneto, who was waiting for him. He thought that this was really a boomerang, and the topic had turned back, so he could only temporarily express his current thoughts.
"Actually, I don't have any ideas. I was saved by you. Logically, I should repay you, but I am penniless now and don't know what to do..."
Jiang Zheng said with some trouble. Although he traveled to Azur Lane, he was penniless and an illegal resident. There must be people with the same name, but the information must not match. Now he really had nowhere to go.
After all, these ship girls in front of him were not the ship girls who were full of goodwill in his port area; otherwise, it would be simple and clear.
Listening to Jiang Zheng's answer, Veneto felt very satisfied. Although she didn't check his identity, the feeling he gave her was not fake. At least the person who could attract her couldn't be that bad.
At least he thought of what he was going to say next. Veneto didn't want to say it for a while, but after thinking about it, for the sake of everyone, she still needed to say it.
For a while, Veneto felt uncomfortable all over, but on the surface, she still looked unchanged.
"Really? If you don't have any ideas for the time being, how about staying in Sardinia first?"
"Is this really okay?!"
Jiang Zheng was a little excited. If he heard it right, it would be great to stay here next.
Littorio and Veneto looked at each other at the same time and smiled. Once he got on the Sardinia ship, he couldn't get off.
"Of course, there is no problem. It just requires an official identity, and this identity is... Littorio, you should tell him."
Finally, Veneto still couldn't say it, so she let Littorio tell it, and the latter happily took over the burden. Littorio held Jiang Zheng's hand and told something that stunned him with a smile on her face when he was puzzled.
"This identity is..."
"Littorio's lover!"

Chapter 8: Zara: I Am Not Good at Matching Clothes
"...Ah?!"
After hearing Littorio's declaration of sovereignty, Jiang Zheng was stunned. Then he came to his senses and exclaimed in surprise. He looked at Littorio with an incredulous expression and then glanced at Veneto.
After seeing that the expressions on their faces weren't fake, Jiang Zheng gradually calmed down. He frowned slightly, narrowing his eyes, and looked at Littorio with a complicated expression.
"Hmm? What's wrong? You don't believe it? Don't worry; since it's from Littorio, there's no possibility of falsehood!"
"It's just that this is nominal. After all, if Jiang Zheng wants to stay in Sardinia officially, he always needs a convenient identity."
"And Littorio doesn't mind, so in the official propaganda, you are Littorio's lover."
"Is that so? I thought it was true..."
Seeing Jiang Zheng's expression of three parts surprise, four parts panic, two parts nervousness, and one part secret joy, Veneto couldn't help but chuckle, a curved smile on her face.
But at the same time, she also provided an explanation, which made Jiang Zheng's face blush, and he immediately relaxed a lot, though he felt a little disappointed. After taking his expression in, the other ship girls raised their mouths at the same time and looked at him with smiles, but without any malice.
After just laughing, Veneto still felt a little complicated.
After all, there were some truths and some lies in what she had just said. They were lovers in name, but for Littorio, it was real.
"Hmm? You want to be a real lover with Littorio so soon? Then you should be more confident and work harder."
"After all, Littorio is very much looking forward to the person Littorio has chosen."
Littorio grinned, trust in her eyes. He was already in her pocket. Now she was still a little short of taking him, but it was just a matter of taking something out of the bag.
"Since you said so, I will work hard."
It felt like Littorio had something to say, but Jiang Zheng still nodded and agreed.
No matter what, it was a done deal for him to stay in Sardinia, so he would think about other things later.
Watching Littorio talk to Jiang Zheng, Veneto didn't say much. The only important thing had been solved, so it was time to enjoy dinner.
After all, there is a saying that is true:
Only love and food should not be wasted.
Of course, Jiang Zheng and his three friends were not the only ones enjoying dinner. The other ship girls were talking to each other. Even if Jiang Zheng didn't pay attention, he could feel their eyes on him from time to time.
Soon, the ship girl with red hair named Zara couldn't wait to get to know Littorio's lover.
"Ciao! I'm very lucky to meet you, Mr. Jiang Zheng. I'm the heavy cruiser Zara."
"Just call me by my name, Miss Zara."
"Okay, Jiang Zheng! Although some things brought you to Sardinia, I'm still very happy that you can stay here, and I hope you live happily in the future."
"If possible, how about we get to know each other in our spare time?"
"Of course, no problem! But I don't drink much, Miss Zara."
Zara held up her champagne and showed respect to Jiang Zheng, then opened her mouth to communicate with him.
Jiang Zheng nodded and did not refuse her request. Living in Sardinia, it was inevitable to come into contact with the ship girls.
"Hello, Mr. Jiang Zheng. Do you know about the aircraft carrier of the Sardinian Empire, the Aquila? We can meet here thanks to the guidance of the goddess of luck."
"Really? In that case, I have to thank the goddess of luck for letting me see you, but you don't have to call me sir; I'm not used to it."
"Hmm~, okay, Jiang Zheng. By the way, do you like black tea?"
Soon, after three rounds of wine and five dishes, even if Jiang Zheng didn't want to get in touch with them in particular, the ship girls still approached him at the same time. Some wanted to understand him, some were on guard, and some were interested.
After dinner, Jiang Zheng, under the leadership of Zara, began to familiarize himself with the area of Sardinia. Of course, he couldn't get familiar with anything in just one night, but at least he had to know where the iconic buildings were.
"Jiang Zheng, do you remember the locations I told you about?"
"I remember. It's okay if it's just a few positions, but it's hard to remember if there are too many."
"Hehe~, it's okay. If you forget, I don't mind taking you around again, but in this case, Jiang Zheng has to agree to a small request of mine."
Walking on the spacious road, Zara looked at Jiang Zheng with a smile, her golden-orange eyes revealing a satisfied look.
During the short time she spent with him, Zara had roughly guessed his personality. His speech and behavior were not rough or rude; he was gentle with others. He was just a little nervous, but this was not a problem. He would be fine if he had more contact with her.
The only thing that could be called a flaw was that his eyes were a little dishonest, but Zara thought it was a recognition of her charm, so it was not a shortcoming. Although she was a little shy in her heart, she didn't feel troubled or disgusted.
What's more, when she was with him, Zara felt very relaxed and at ease, just like a friend who she had known for a long time.
If she hadn't thought of him as Littorio's lover, Zara would have felt an irresistible urge to touch him.
However, Zara's eyes brightened, and after thinking of a good idea, she looked at him with a smile and made a small request.
"It doesn't matter. I'm new here and unfamiliar with Sardinia. If I can help Zara, I'll try my best."
Jiang Zheng said seriously, with a meticulous look in his eyes. He was worried about how to build a good relationship with Zara. Now that she had taken the initiative to approach him, what reason could he have to refuse?
The visible favorability increased by one; Zara's smile became brighter, her cheeks slightly flushed, her eyes glistening. Then she slowly said:
"Actually... it's not a particularly important thing, but I'm not very good at matching clothes."
"So, tomorrow, Jiang Zheng, can you accompany me to buy clothes?"
"No problem!"
"Then it's settled, Jiang Zheng!"
After getting the promise she wanted, Zara took him back to the room she had prepared for him and left. Jiang Zheng didn't feel anything wrong until Zara was gone.

Chapter 9: If You Don't Eat it, Someone Else Will
After dinner, Zara took Jiang Zheng to confirm the iconic locations of Sardinia.
On the high platform across from them which Jiang Zheng couldn't see, Littorio held a glass of red wine.
Turning her head to look at Jiang Zheng leaving with Zara, Veneto approached Littorio, worry etched across her delicate and beautiful face. Finally, she asked her seriously, "Littorio, are you serious?"
"Of course, Veneto! You know me. I, Littorio, naturally mean what I say! He is already the person I like, and I will not let him go."
Littorio said this without turning her head. When Jiang Zheng's figure gradually faded from view, she turned to Veneto, her expression relaxed and happy. She smiled at Veneto's worried look and shook her head.
"Veneto, Littorio knows what you mean, but think about it: the importance of someone who can ignore the mind cube radiation of our ship girls and can also cause the mind cube resonance is self-evident."
"Moreover, Littorio disdains to play games and deceive; he is unique, and so is Littorio's feeling."
Listening to Littorio's words, which appeared to be deeply in love, Veneto couldn't help but blink.
After confirming that she couldn't change Littorio's mind, she chose to say nothing more, though she couldn't help but sigh.
"Okay, Littorio, I understand. I won't bother you anymore."
Initially, she just wanted to persuade her sister because something in her heart felt taken away, but since Littorio was serious, as her sister, Veneto would naturally not obstruct her in public or private.
So she had to pack up her emotions and prepare to leave this place that made her unhappy, but Littorio would not let her leave so easily.
Instead, Littorio came to her, blocking her path and staring at her with a teasing smile. Then she said something that made Veneto panic.
"Veneto, if Littorio is not mistaken, you also have a bold idea about Jiang Zheng, right?"
"You! What did you say?! Littorio!"
Veneto was shocked when her sister mercilessly revealed her inner thoughts. Then she showed a resistant attitude, determined to assert that she was the best.
Littorio immediately lost her desire to tease her further.
"Veneto, you can't deceive me; your eyes won't allow you to hide your feelings."
"...Is it that obvious?"
"Believe Littorio, even Emero can hide her feelings better than you."
After Littorio said this, Emero who had been sleeping on the dinner table raised her head, she looked over, muttered something, and then continued to sleep on her stomach.
Veneto took a deep breath. She met Littorio's gaze, and finally gave up struggling to deny her thoughts.
"Littorio, you're right. I have some feelings for Jiang Zheng."
After saying this, Veneto felt a little embarrassed. Although Jiang Zheng had been announced as Littorio's lover at dinner, even if they were just nominal lovers, she felt she shouldn't have such thoughts.
It is said that men fear the suffering of their brothers, but women are almost the same. Veneto felt uncomfortable seeing Littorio ahead of her in this regard.
Although she didn't know where this unknown comparison came from, she still felt unhappy.
However, what Littorio said next shocked Veneto.
"Actually, I don't mind your joining, Veneto."
"?"
Veneto's head slowly formed a question mark. She looked at the top of Littorio's head, feeling slightly offended.
"Don't guess too much. I don't have the feelings you think I do. I just think it's normal."
"Jiang Zheng can ignore our Mind's Cube radiation and feel close to us, which means that we are not the only ones worthy around him."
"And Veneto, think about it: do you have this feelings in your heart?"
Littorio glanced at her sister thoughtfully.
Jiang Zheng was like a rare treasure, attractive to ship girls; even if he did nothing, he would attract a bunch of thieves trying to steal him.
If that's the case, if she couldn't protect him alone, why not let her sisters help protect him together?
After all, if it was going to be shared, wouldn't it be better to share him with her good sister?
With this idea in mind, Littorio felt satisfied, and Veneto tried to simulate Littorio's mentality. After considering it, she felt more complicated emotions, but mostly joy.
"It seems... I do this feelings?"
"Since you have those feelings, then Veneto, you should have further contact with Jiang Zheng. Of course, it can also be a deeper connection."
"For example, Veneto, how about taking him in your favorite large bath?"
"This may help promote the glory of our Sardinian Empire~"
Seeing Veneto's changing expressions, Littorio began to guide her thoughts. Since she was already considering this, she would naturally use some small methods, even if they sounded a little unreliable.
Veneto glanced at her with a blushing face.
But it must be said that what Littorio proposed just caught her interest. Her fingers, adorned with white gloves, grabbed her clothes uncertainly as she said, "No matter what, this behavior is not allowed for the time being."
"But... if you say so, I can consider it..."
Observing the hesitant and uncertain Veneto in front of her, Littorio felt that she needed to give her another push. So she said to her with a serious expression:
"Veneto, you have to know one thing: if you don't go, someone else will."
"Littorio knows very well that Zara's eyes are also on Jiang Zheng."
After saying that, Littorio took the sleeping Emero to rest, allowing Veneto to think about what was important here. After all, there was no rush.
However, Littorio didn't know that even though she understood that Jiang Zheng was a rare treasure attractive to ship girls, she never thought of hooking all the ship girls in.
Now, after settling the Empire and covering her with a quilt, Littorio walked toward the room prepared for Jiang Zheng to give him a little surprise.
After all, he is her amante. Isn't it normal for lovers to have little surprises?
---
Chapter 10: The first Is Real, the Middle Is Real, Only the last Is Fake
Entering the room that Trento prepared for him, Jiang Zheng immediately smelled a faint incense. He noticed two lit incense candles on the table in the living room.
After carefully surveying the room, he saw that the daily necessities were mostly complete, except for the kitchen utensils. It must be all in the restaurant earlier.
With this thought in mind, Jiang Zheng entered the bedroom, lay down on the spacious bed, and enjoyed the soft touch beneath him. He looked up slightly to see the scenery outside the window. The sea surface was already dark, and only the sound of the waves gradually drifted into his ears.
However, Jiang Zheng was not interested in listening to the white noise; instead, he recalled the events of the day.
He had gone to pick up a courier from an unknown sender, accidentally fell into the water, and found himself in the world of Azur Lane. Then he was brought back to Sardinia by the Maestrale and Libeccio, where he met many Sardinian ship girls at the welcome banquet and ultimately became Littorio's nominal lover.
This indescribable experience made Jiang Zheng feel as though everything had been arranged for him. However, after careful consideration, he realized that no one would go to such lengths for him, so he abandoned the idea of exploring that aspect any further.
After all, he had fallen out with his family and had not contacted them. He had worked for a while, providing his family with money and support for his brothers and sisters.
Now that he had traveled to Azur Lane, it was generally a good thing.
With many thoughts swirling in his mind, Jiang Zheng sat up and planned to take a shower and then sleep, so he could welcome the first day of his journey.
However, when Jiang Zheng opened the door, he bumped into a soft and fragrant body. Before he could react, he heard a crisp and familiar voice.
"Good evening, my amante. It seems you can't wait? Littorio's charm must be overwhelming, which isn't necessarily a bad thing."
Stepping back slightly, Jiang Zheng saw Littorio dressed differently than usual. The gorgeous and noble military uniform and iconic cape had been replaced with a home-style off-white long-sleeved outer lining and an attractive suspender vest. The pale green shawl was tied into a high ponytail with a hairband, giving her a unique sense of heroism.
Her lower body was clad in shorts and home shoes of the same color, revealing her alluring, smooth thighs, which glimmered and had the texture of jade, making one want to touch and play with them, and experience their softness.
After silently taking in Littorio's outfit, Jiang Zheng met her teasing gaze. Realizing what he had done, he quickly apologized.
"Sorry, I'm being too presumptuous."
"That's not necessary. If you really didn't want to look, Littorio would suspect something was wrong with Littorio's clothes."
Putting away her playful expression, Littorio smiled, though the blush on her face did not fade.
After all, no one had ever dared to look at her like this—her sisters didn’t count. He was the first and would naturally be the last.
"But, Amante, don’t you invite Littorio into your room to take a look?"
"If you leave your lover standing outside the door, people might think we are not in love."
"Although I want to clarify that we are not just nominally in love, I still want to say, please come in."
Faced with Littorio's smile, Jiang Zheng couldn’t say no. After gesturing for her to enter, Littorio stepped into his dormitory with an admiring look. Noticing the decor inside, she recognized it as Trento’s style.
Feeling grateful for Trento’s kindness, Jiang Zheng sat on the bed and couldn’t help but say,
"It looks great; it must have been decorated by Trento. Littorio smelled the incense when Littorio came in. It seems Littorio's lover is very charming."
"But that's right. If amante weren't charming, Littorio wouldn't be in this position."
"What do you mean?" Jiang Zheng didn’t understand. After closing the door, he sat next to Littorio at a distance and asked curiously.
It was obvious that while the words could be understood separately, they made little sense together.
"Although Trento treats everyone gently, she wouldn’t go out of her way to decorate a guest's room, even if you are Littorio's lover."
"So, you have captured a lot of hearts, my dear amante... how do you plan to compensate Littorio?"
Noticing Jiang Zheng sitting farther away, Littorio moved closer, wrapping one arm around him, relaxing her body, and resting her chin on his shoulder. Feeling his body stiffen, she couldn't help but blow gently into his ear.
The soft, delicate contact between their bodies, along with the thin and silky outer lining, couldn’t block the transfer of warmth. Under this close contact, the fragrance wafting from Littorio was reminiscent of the shower gel applied in the bathroom, enticing and making him think more.
Littorio’s breath caused Jiang Zheng to tremble all over, and his ears turned red. She couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.
"Littorio, if you keep this up, it’ll be too much. I can’t guarantee what I’ll do next."
After being teased by her, Jiang Zheng calmed down and expressed his seriousness. Although he didn’t turn his head, he could still feel her breath on his neck.
It was unimaginably tempting.
Jiang Zheng was concerned that his second brother would compete to be the eldest brother, so he could only express his thoughts in this way.
After all, he was not dense.
Feeling his every reaction, Littorio wasn’t annoyed. Instead, she curled her lips and pressed her body closer, letting Jiang Zheng lie back on the bed.
Taking advantage of this, Littorio sat on his belly, placed her hands on his shoulders, and stared into the panic in his eyes. She slowly bent down, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, "Just like this, that’s not enough, Jiang Zheng."
"Or do you really think that Veneto's nominal lover is real?"
"I don’t understand... You mean what Veneto said about being lovers is fake?"
Hearing this, Jiang Zheng felt a pang of sadness, but happiness followed quickly.
According to Littorio's behavior, if he guessed correctly, then...
Feeling his joy, Littorio opened her mouth slightly, bit his earlobe with her pearly teeth, and said slowly, "The first part is true, the middle part is true, and only the last part is false."
"Guess which one is false?"
