The thing that I have a problem with regarding Sage is that as well as she seems able to calculate the probabilities and make next-level plans, she seems incapable of parsing that whole "power corrupts" thing means that the more that she gives to anyone, the more likely they are going to stab her in the back.

One thing I really love with Starlight is a sort of connection to Supernatural... every time we see her use her powers now, we see the electricity around her flicker and dim. We've seen Kripke use this effect before, with demons and ghosts on Supernatural and it was a harbinger of darkness, death, pain, destruction... just bleakness in general. But here, he's flipped the same sort of warning system into something light. Starlight is the hopeful figure, the literal light in the darkness of the boys. She's the face of the resistance, the official opponent against Homelander. So every time we see the flickering lights now, it means something completely different. It's like a breath of relief because help has arrived. Just a really cool touch from Kripke
