Okay. I watched the episode. About the guns and ghosts - they normally shoot rocksalt with those guns. The salt is a ghost deterrant, so it gets rid of the ghosts for a short time. Until they can recover from the salt and reappear. Salt is also used to keep ghosts out of places. Or to trap them. They can't cross the salt. It's a way to trap them or keep them out. A bit of behind the scenes info - the pranks the brothers did on each other are nothing compared to the pranks Jared and Jensen would do to each other the first season. They are notorious for it. They stopped doing it to each other because it just escallated to extremes. So they started picking on other cast. And crew. It's really pretty funny. It's become a "thing". A sort of rite of passage for new people to the show. Another bit of info - Jensen can really sing. I mean, really sing. He kept being humble and shy about it until the fandom - and the other cast and friends - finally convinced him to share it with the fans at conventions. So, since 2015 he's been singing at some of the conventions, with the band during the saturday night concerts they have at each convention. I'd be happy to share some of it with you, if you like. And lastly - are you using DVDs? People will want you to react to the gag reel too, at the end of each season. It's a thing with this show. The gag reels are also legendary. The first year is very basic compared to what comes later, once the crew knew they needed to make sure to save some of those priceless outtakes. IF you don't have access to gag reels, they are all on youtube in one form or another. Not always of good video resolution though. But be careful, some have been doctored.
