2 things. 1 PAEONS MASK IS IN THE BACKGROUND AND I'M FREAKING OUT. 2 am I the only one who's like eughh to the jay and Lizzie ship? Like Lizzie dated Jay's DEAD OLDER SISTER.

I think the reason a lot of people gravitated to Caspian being the plant is because there really wasn’t another option with the information available. We didn’t know Eden was working with Lizzy(I think?). Just that she was being suspicious with the whole government agent thing. Outside of it being someone on the crew we weren’t introduced to it was down to Caspian or John. We know John was an established Navy captain that left to become a pirate so it was unlikely it was him. Plus we don’t know a lot about Caspian’s origin. Idk just my two cents.

I think having the mole on Lizzie’s crew as ‘a mystery the audience could solve’ it doesn’t work. BUT it’s a fun subversion, and the gut punch of Jay grappling with making the WRONG choice adds more to the story than what is lost to the mole being a red herring.

grizzly always: Yeah I did pretty ass today. my awesome NPCs who react realistically given their circumstances were feeling really boring and out of character. most of my work, which flows with the overarching story well and creates interesting situations for my characters, is made up on the spot. I underestimate myself as a DM, I don't realize the effectiveness of the narrative I'm writing. someone's going to hit me with lightning.
