every time i come back to washington i just feel this sense of HOME like no other

some updates: my mom decorated the “cat apartment” with all things cat and it makes me so happy so see my parents but also to see them become cat parents in their own way bc they only have ever had dogs :’)

she has decorated with cat throw pillows, towels, rugs, and art LOL its so silly but also so so SO cute

my dad drove me to the pet store to pick up some extra things to make genji and mabel super comfy and i feel very grateful to have parents who care and love in such gracious ways

coming back home to washington just reminds me how much family time means to me and how being away from breaks my heart more and more as time goes on

when i was younger and naive it felt like i would just get those years back but time passes for everyone and now i feel like im coming up on my last couple years in LA :’)

i also feel like i spent my early 20s trying to distance myself from my parents to become a “proper adult” and now my late 20s are going to be rekindling these relationships and learning to rely on them in different ways <3

i miss it!!!! i miss my fam!!! the rain!!!! the trees changing color!!!! it’s slower here and i adore it. also, there’s taco time 8)

anyways the cats are settling in really well, i think they’re gonna be really happy, stimulated, and well taken care of. i will miss them dearly though 💔
