well i finally finished the book

this was my hardest read in a very long time bc when i dont like a book, i usually just dont finish it

IDK WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THIS SERIES

iron flame made me skeptical but i was like ya know what, im sure it wont get worse than this

i was wrong

rebecca yarros feels lost

or it feels like her editors / publishers are pushing this story to go out faster than it originally planned for

the pacing feels whack, the storyline is only occasionally interesting, the plot honestly just doesn't make sense at times, the lack of character development is excruciating. i honestly could go on and on

something i cant get over is how, even in the midst of this almost war, we're still going to class LOLLLLL it just feels like they would learn more from real life experience but they never get the chance or showcase what they learn idk maybe im just biased against this book now haahha

not to mention how the whole book is like we need help from andarna's kind and that is literally what drives the storyline... JUST TO HAVE THEM SHOW UP? NAH FUCK OFF
