Is Christmas time a hard time for you. Not the holly jolly, joy and happiness but reminds you of trauma/tough times or is it your favorite time of year? I’m curious where most sit on this and I’m undecided what I’ll do with this yet but after getting some messages and comments around this I want to check in on this and try do something that feels right during this time of year ❤️ (Patreon)

I find it to be a reminder of another year passing which usually makes me sad. I always feel a lack of accomplishment, mainly in regards to romantic relationships. But also i feel bad for being sad since a lot of people have it harder and im so privileged.

I LOVE the idea and warm feeling of Xmas but my family never does gifts or puts up a tree / celebrations because we can’t afford or they just don’t want too, but this time of year makes me miss people from my past and brings up memories that I wish would just leave, but I personally have always wanted to do Xmas

Christmas and the holidays have always been a struggle for my neurodivergent brain in being so far off my normal routine, but this year is even more distressing as my parents and some family members and I are estranged.

I’d say i’m in the middle. I loved the holidays as a kid but as i’ve grown up I feel like it’s losing its joy. I have issues with change and a lotttt of my families dynamics have changed drastically.

I‘d LOVE to see affirmations and just understanding and comfort And some advice on how to deal with difficulties during Christmas time, like someone else mentioned, difficult family dynamics and disappointment, since I believe that we often have special hopes for Christmas that might not always come true

good and bad for me, some of the joy from childhood still remains and its amazing to spend time with family, but it also reminds me of the passing of time which is hard. and i also have to spend it with a problematic family member so that's not as fun lolz
