Oh my god the best episode is HEREEE

Sam

Both: I'd be great if the show explains how Louis knew what Lestat said to Armand in that "Tell him I love him, Armand" scene. Lestat being Louis' maker, Louis cannot hear him telepathically. It's probably no biggy but it bothers me every time I watch this episode. If it isn't an oversight by the writers then who's point of view were we looking at.

Idk, maybe both, Movieman only is safest though: I think no matter how toxic the relationship is, for [show] Armand it trumps being alone. Do I think he loves Louis, yes. Does he hate being with Louis, also yes. He thinks Louis is whiny and annoying. Louis's cheating bothers him enough that he has an exact count (128 - diabolical on Louis' part BTW), he thinks Louis is a burden he has to clean up after as they seem to have done this song and dance of Louis' drug binges before (minus the interview). On top of that he thinks Louis' suicidal ideation is punishment for HIM i.e. "Will I be on suicide watch for a thousand more years". Instead of leaving Louis after the San Francisco incident, he just converted his "let Louis walk all over me" prison of empathy to, "I need to pacify and numb Louis so he's easier to handle" prison by wiping his memory, softening his memory of Paris (slipping good photos into Louis work) etc and created this completely sterile nothingness of a relationship. Basically created a prison for both of them because he also lost himself in the process because what the hell is a communist doing dealing art in Dubai. On one hand you can say you get where Armand is coming from because of Louis' volatility but on the otherhand, he doesn't have the right to take away Louis' agency. He could literally just leave and never have to deal with him again. PS: I also wouldn't tell my partner that their ex said he loves him.

Random trivia (safe): In the book, Louis only ever refers to Daniel as "boy." We don't actually know Daniel's name until a later book - for IWTV, he's just "the boy." Love that the writers incorporated that into this episode. **No longer safe/For MovieMan** Re-watching the Armand/Young Daniel dynamic in this episode sheds so much light on why Daniel was turned 'out of spite' at the end of the series.

I’d kind of forgotten how yummy young Daniel was, pretty voice too 😊 I hope we get to see a lil bit more of him in the Season 3 flashbacks, maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞🏼

SAFE: That people overlook Louis' emotionally abusive tendencies drives me nuts. The things he said to Armand are NOT ok. Our little innocent Armand. XD NOT SAFE: Louis Louis Louis.. you have more in common with Lestat then people like to admit. Albeit just hidden beneath a vale of seeming human compassion. At least Lestat acknowledges he can be A LOT. Admittedly Louis does grow.. But I'd like to hear him acknowledge the same. Bro has perfected the art of playing the victim. Technically Lestat coined the term Gremlin.. As he says it to him prior to San Francisco. Also.. All Vampires are born from TRAUMA not drama is the saying I believe.

I love it. I still prefer 7 and 8. Sam Reid's apology scene is just S tier acting. Granted his acting is generally S tier at all times anyway.
