Some fodder for the hollywood-groomer conspiracy loons: Jake mentioned the Indiana Jones story conference with Lucas and Spielberg. Just google “indiana jones tory conference” and you’ll find a transcript. Well, they had some very gross ideas for indy’s backstory with his love interest: Lucas: He could have known this little girl when she was just a kid. Had an affair with her when she was eleven. […] He's thirty-five, and he knew her ten years ago when he was twenty-five and she was only twelve. […]It would be amusing to make her slightly young at the time Spielberg: And promiscuous. She came onto him. Lucas: Fifteen is right on the edge. I know it's an outrageous idea, but it is interesting. Once she's sixteen or seventeen it's not interesting anymore. Lucas and Spielberg, ladies and gentlemen.

The idea that they are stealing your kids is more stupid than the parents that can’t understand how their own abuse made them run away from home into situations that out them in the beds of sick powerful fucks like Lucas or Bryan singer.

I have listened to two Liv episodes back to back and her podcast voice has really come on beautifully. I used to find her the annoying squeaky Canadian but now her voice matches her content and she’s great. It’s really nice to see the youngs come on.

The other interesting thing in those 1978 transcripts re Indiana Jones is their spitballing on Marion’s age when she and Indy first interacted. Fifteen apparently. Her line "I was a child!" remains in the movie; I had thought it was hyperbole.
