Can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for this. Been following Roosh since his God-pill. Thanks for the amazing content.

Never heard of the “whatever podcast” before, I’ve had it recommended to me 3x on YouTube since the ep came out 😟

In fairness, I'd also be pretty mad if I'd trekked out to one of the most beautiful places in the country and I can't enjoy it because I keep getting TO THE WINDOWS, TO THE WALLS, TIL THE SWEAT DRIPS FROM MY BALLS stuck in my head.

Who is Larry king interviewing in the outro clip?

Shivvy

that accent saying “dicked down by chuds” was very funny to me for whatever reason

When you said: “I found a new book!” I was thinking: “Bang Believers”.

On the topic of modern manosphere, I'm so glad that I am now older and in a better place mentally and emotionally to look into these guys and see them for the goofy chuds they are. Back when I was still dealing with the aftermath of a SA, reading something like a Return of Kings blog was my form of self harm. Thinking that every man was secretly like this and what happened to me was my fault. Now, I find them fascinating the same way flat earthers and Qanon is fascinating. In a sad, cautionary, roadside attraction way.

The Playboy bunny branding seemed to have a resurgence in the mid90's (in the UK at least)? I had no idea at the time what deeply misogynistic ideas/history it represented. Thought it was supposed to be tongue in cheek and trying to be 'cheeky' but just seemed cheesy and kinda degrading. Some deep seated shit right there.

I'm really curious what it is like now to be a teenager trying to make sense of the prevailing culture, and what it feels like to gendered folk compared to the mid 90's. That men were celebrated for doing whatever they want compared to everyone else, who could face ridicule instead, seemed inevitable and hegemonic to me in some way back then. Or that's how it felt. I guess it is hard to compare, but then I see the influence of Tate, seeing that news recently of that org in England who's had lots of calls from schools asking for their help related to kids starting to admire and talk about Tate in school. Or Jordan Peterson's shows selling out multiple nights a few years ago near my town, and all those people, largely men, pouring out of the venues after, emboldened.

Joyce Carol Oates did not write handmaiden’s tale.

@1:10:00 ... "Alrighty, well, I made my millions, I'm out, peeaaccee!"

Pecan Spinster

In Roosh’s Bang Iceland book he describes a night where he had sex with a woman who was, in his own words, probably too intoxicated to legally consent, which of course makes it rape. So he’s a rapist and AFAIK has never shown any remorse. Don’t you have to repent for your sins in Christianity? Maybe that’s just a Catholic thing

Chloe Showalter

If you read Michael Kimmel’s Manhood in America he describes how the inner fantasy life of the American man has been like a respite from the constraints of industrialization and lack of upward mobility. However in the early 1900s, it wasn’t Playboy but cowboy paperbacks and wilderness novels that men read to fantasize and dream of being “real men.”
