Down the rabbithole of a right wing panic, inside joke, and image board meme turned bizarre community. "Transmaxxing", on the surface, is the idea that young men (mostly involuntarily celibate or "incels") are becoming trans women to increase their odds of getting laid. In right wing media, the concept is being covered as a serious movement so as to fuel harmful transphobic narratives and erode civil protections for trans people. But is it actually a thing?
