can't believe i'm writing this but i'm mad at marzouli's understanding of marksmanship. grunts are told to shoot at centre mass, always. "two in the chest, one in the head" is the Mozambique Drill, which is specifically a close range technique that's usually done with pistols, most famously used by Tom Cruise in Michael Mann's Collateral. the idea is that the two in the chest are easy shots that you can do quickly, stunning the target, which gives you time to line up the headshot. it's usually not worth doing with rifles because body shots with full sized rounds are probably gonna floor your opponent anyway.
