From the looks of it Aeon most probably gonna give a choice: like be my saint or u can start your own religion as a demigod. It will be interesting if there gonna be some synergy/buff-s if Edna accepts to be a part of pantheon (for her and for him). Also what kind choices of divine path she will have, super curious.

Hmmm splitting magic-resis worms seems like a great counter to Aeon. Wouldn't be surprised if gods pull a bait & switch and open the Demon King portal next to Aeon. Kinda ambivalent on it though as that screams sketchy, though the general people do seem gullible. Think Edna would need worshipers to unlock divinity status, wonder if there are champions for individuals instead.

Nah he probably could handle them fairly well, his roots act as a physical attack and can defend against subterranean enemies, he would simply dice the worms up if they approached unless they had other hidden abilities not yet mentioned that happened to be tailored against him.

So i am pretty much getting that gods give OP powers to heroes but cockblocks them from reaching godhood. There are probably precedence where heroes became gods long lost to history...
