In the end, I'm definitely glad that the parasite is dead. There's no way anything good would have happened by keeping it, even if it was converted. The new skill (and hopefully eventually an Astral domain) will be much more helpful.

Wow the demons are soo hellbend in getting one over the gods that they choose to ignore a good offer just to kill a hero. Well at least aeon got something out of it, now quickly send the hero to the book or back to his harem.

Probably by "converting" hero to demon they can stop gods from summoning new heroes cuz previous not died. So, tentacle-powered demon with hero-sized star mana would be almost unkillable, and can be vanguard for capturing this world. That's why they need not only stsr mana(fuel), but also blood (ID). Probably, also to attach hero soul to that said flesh/blood. Who knows.
