Year 207

The heroes were strangely relieved that they didn’t need to go to another world. I suppose the idea of fighting the demon king in the core of the planet really felt like a scene right from a Japanese RPG game.

It’s ironic that this world really takes so much from the games that we loved so much. It really makes me wonder whether I’m just in a coma somewhere and this is me lucid dreaming.

Or maybe it’s the reverse, that all our creativity are residual memories, creations from what we’ve seen in some reincarnated past life? That’s also a rather strange turn of events.

Anyway, we briefed the heroes on the expected nature of the upcoming demon king, and everyone quickly started making preparations. If it was an anti-magic demon king, both Colette and Prabu had to prepare for it.

Everyone expected a counter of some kind. They just didn’t think it was going to be a massive anti-magic lizard, essentially a strong counter to both Colette and Prabu, and the whole host of star mana weapons.

They decided to forge new weapons, of course. Imbued with heroic abilities and skills, instead of magic or spells. Items with some level of protection from the effects of mana drain, again, tested against the sand that we collected.

It was hard to make it work, and it took them months of testing. The hero forges were literally creations of star mana, though they could use actual materials to give more substance and permanence to the output. Yet, real materials meant the products were not as strong as those made of star mana. After all, how could mundane items hope to rival the power of the stars?

But as they tinkered more and more, they soon gained a deeper understanding of the hero forges, and soon, came with a request.

“We need more of those anti-mana sands.” Colette said as she showed us a small glassy weapon made of the sand. “We managed to use the [hero forge] to make a weapon out of their anti-mana sand, and it’s significantly more resistant to the effects of mana drain, since, well, the sand itself is so good at ‘draining’ mana, it was also good at stopping mana from leaking out. “We could make weapons out of these anti-mana sands, and this would hold up.”

The pathway through the stars was still there, though we noticed the pathway itself seemed... wobbly and uncertain.

We didn’t bring that much sand back, but it certainly was possible to make glass out of that sand, if there were sufficient quantities of it. We didn’t know how much sand we needed, but the idea of mining this sandy planet for the anti-mana sands was really appealing. There could be a lot of uses for such a weapon, and if sufficiently widespread, it could equalise the inherent advantages of magic.

Actually, with sufficient quantities of this sand, it may even be possible to somewhat mimic earth-like, magicless situations.

In fact, once this demon king was over, I would probably lose access to all this anti-mana sand, unless I placed my clone on this world.

Lumoof, of course, had to be sent back to the Sandworld. For sand. I wondered whether this was the first actual instance of dimensional mining operations.

“Well, at least it still looks the same.” Lumoof went alone, as Stella attempted to keep the riftgates open. It didn’t work that well with the battering of the Sandworld’s harsh anti-magic rays.

Lumoof activated a few storage bags, and then... they exploded. They couldn’t store the anti-magic sand which interfered with the storage bags itself.

“Ooops.” Lumoof laughed. “Looks like we’ll have to send it back the teleportation way.”

Which meant Lumoof actually took large bags made of hemp and cloth, and filled them with sand. In avatar mode, Lumoof functioned as the conduit for teleportation to my main tree, through my [tree of life]. Essentially, he was another ‘clone’ in avatar mode.

Sand. It drained more mana than usual to send the anti-mana sand back, but we needed more. We took advantage of the day to eventually send back a small hill of anti-mana sand, piled up in one corner of the Valley.

As I noticed the presence of this anti-mana sand, I also wondered whether it had potential anti-demon uses, since it was also effective against demonic mana.

Could we use the anti-mana sand to clear ‘corrupted’ places, and remove the demonic energies from Rottedlands-type terrain?

If so, these anti-mana sand could be immensely valuable to ‘restore’ terrain and clean the land from demonic corruption.

Ken, my resident armchair critic, was quick to point out that I’ve had the Space-Grand-Strategy equivalent of a unique resource that gave the faction access to unique units or research. That, of course, tickled my funny-branch. That made sense.

Who would’ve thought anti-mana sand was a strategic resource, anyway?

“Lumoof, you’ll be doing mining. A whole lot of them.”

“I’m a priest, Aeon. Not a sand-collector.” Lumoof protested, mostly as a joke. “I have sand in every part of my body!’

“Then you’re doing it right! You’ll have to be my sand-collecting priest for this month.”

The anti-mana sand, strangely enough, did not cause any unusual reactions with my [secret hideout]. My spatial skill, which didn’t use mana, or at least, didn’t use it directly, could store this anti-mana sand without much risk, and after all my levels, my [secret hideout] could be expanded quite a bit.

The heroes took their share, a small truckload, to begin experimenting with larger weapons. At the same time, I also gave a small batch to my blacksmiths, jewellers and crafters to attempt their own experiments.

Alka too, used the anti mana sand for his own experiments, mainly to figure out how to make the bombs react exactly the way he wanted. Within weeks he made some very good discoveries. With the anti-magic qualities, the sand essentially functioned as ‘negative’ gates, and in small quantities, it could be used to create more compact runic patterns, and prevent unnecessary magical interference between unrelated but nearby formations. In short, the sand could be molded into magical ‘walls’ between spells.

“Given the value of these sands, I’m thinking Aeon should totally deploy a clone tree on this world.” Alka stated. “This sand could herald a new era of super compact magical weaponry! We may even attempt the computers that the heroes speak of!”

Valid, but I had my reservations.

“The parasite world’s useless. We should abandon it for this.” Alka stated.

Again, I also had reservations. Surely there are resources there, just like the sand, that we have only not discovered.

If I had to, I would probably abandon either the Cometworld, or the Moon. Most probably the moon because of how easy it is to get to it, again.

Still, this was something I had to think about, so for now, we mined sand. A lot of them.

***

The heroes made anti-magic staff and weapons, and Chung made arrows out of them. Chung and Hafiz both had a balance of spells and skills, as archer and knight-type heroes respectively, so transitioning from glass weaponry wasn’t too much of a challenge. The weapons were strong, after all they were made through [hero forge], and so were just naturally overpowered weapons.

They made a set for me, and a few extra sets for the future heroes. Just in case.

On this front, I thought of Ken’s League of heroes idea, and perhaps we could start with trade. Trade of hero items between heroes of different worlds.

***

I gave some to Lilies, just mainly to share the anti-magic sand. They were fascinated with it, and immediately wondered whether it could be used with that anti-divine material we had.

Blackstar Gems. The coal-like material that exploded when exposed to star mana, in a way, quite like void mana. When we placed the two types of materials together, nothing happened. From what I recall, the blackstar gems itself didn’t do much other than resist the effects of the gods, which remains untested even till today.

Our attempts to work with the two together didn’t get anywhere, but perhaps it’s just a matter of discovering the right process.

They were not so amused when I shared what we saw on the sandworld. In fact, Lilies responded with a revulsion. Something about a world filled with so much sand, that was so lifeless throughout that seemed to really disgust them.

Or maybe these lake-plants just don’t like waterless deserts.

Reefy’s search for the deepest trenches were filled with fights, and Reefy didn’t say much. All he said was he needed more time, since the trenches were filled with monsters. He seemed fairly amused by the anti-magic sand, but didn’t think much into it.

The images Reefy shared were quite brutal, mostly of heavy fighting and slaughter. The depths were home to violent eels and weird fish-creatures and they fought Reefy’s attempts to explore them. He didn’t seem disturbed by it, instead, Reefy merely remarked that he just needed more time.

Reefy also showed me some special coral weapons that he made, inspired by what I’ve made on the surface.

He had control and ability to directly breed fishes and fish-creatures, quite similar to how I created my beetles, and these fishes could travel long distances.

I was really curious how he maintained control and vision of them even at such distances, but Reefy didn’t have an explanation. It was just what it is, and Reefy didn’t think much of it.

“We should probably warn the Mountainworld heroes about the Sabnoc-type demon king. It might blow up and flood the world with demonic corruption again.” Lumoof pointed out one day during one of the monthly council meetings. It didn’t feel very good that I was pointing out the problems and also giving the solutions. I felt like one of those business consultants that pointed out a future issue and told their prospective customers to pay up.

“You do know we look like swindlers when we tell them stuff like that, and we offer the solution too?” I mean, we do have a pile of anti-mana sand, and conveniently, there’s a future demonic corruption crisis to solve. It really looked like I’m hacking, or even masterminding this shit. “It would be even worse if the explosion didn’t happen.”

Stella, of course, sat and then mused. “Maybe they’ve already fought the demon king and the explosion already happened.”

“Oh shit. Then they’ll need our help.” Lumoof said. “I mean, Aeon’s help.”

“It’s a good chance to test out the anti-magic sand, whether it worked as hypothesized.” Alka responded.

“But what could they do, if a Sabnoc-style explosion created another Rottedlands? There’s practically no defense against such a weapon. Not on a continental scale anyway, unless they somehow managed to ‘lock’ the bomb or ‘confine’ the bomb in a limited area.”

I thought back to the earlier fight against the demon king, and recalled that it’s possible to ‘defuse’ or ‘weaken’ the demonic corruption bomb by draining its mana. But that’s something I’d have to do.

“We have an invasion on our hands?” Roon diverted the topic. “I think we’re all still busy making weapons.”

Lumoof looked at Stella. “I think we can manage a short visit?”

***

Also, we began to have some data from the first generation of the ‘augmented’ supersoldiers. The first generational child of the Treefolks and Lizardfolk were reaching the age that they began to have some shape to their souls, and the results were mixed.

Different types of inherited skills caused the first generation’s children to display some odd qualities. Like enhanced strength meant they spent less time in their spawning pods because their strengths caused them to tear through the pods.

I suppose even with generational skills, the host or breeding facility must be able to endure the super-kids. The kids generally inherited the skills, but they were in a ‘weakened’ form, which I suspect was due to their age. Once they matured the skill would become its full form.

There were a bunch of treefolks and lizards that inherited one of the harvested [void mage] skills to naturally have [void mana], and those didn’t work well. It caused the baby lizards and treefolks to look weak and fragile, and they had to be on life support.

So, it’s not as if every skill can be injected, skills needed to be compatible with the child, or it would cause problems.

The researchers and caretakers also squabbled frequently over the conditions they faced. The caretakers were selected from those who used to support the Valthorns and their children. The unusual abilities these children had all needed special care and attention, but the researchers also wanted data, so the two frequently bickered. Right now, there were already 3rd and even 4th generation Valthorns, since it’s been almost one hundred years since I re-emerged from the Rottedlands.

The Mountainworld was still the same, and when Lumoof returned, we were not greeted with fighting. That was a good sign. The first village we met looked relatively normal, still quite militarised, but everyone looked relaxed.

A bit of casual, alcohol fueled conversation later, the heroes have been busy fighting demon champions. After they were captured by the demon king, the rumors seemed to say they were afraid of the demon king, so didn’t dare to make the final assault. Not something they said out loud, but it wasn’t difficult to coax it out of drunkards.

It was quite obvious in hindsight that being possessed and captured for so long would be a traumatic thing for the heroes, but, I would’ve thought the gods’ mind control would circumvent those fears and drive them towards the demon king.

Or maybe, as long as the heroes were still ‘fighting’ demons, and not actively avoiding demons altogether...

“I remember Kei saying that they hear voices in their head.” Lumoof said. Then again, I’m not sure whether these gods apply the same kind of mind control or mental suggestions as those of our world. It’s not exactly the same set of gods, even if there could be some overlap.

Still, the presence of the heroes significantly tipped the scales, as the heroes could take on demon champions easily as they leveled.

It didn’t take particularly long for us to eventually return to the seat of the council of kings, and find them in a significantly better mood. There was a return of the arts and entertainment, and the shops looked like they’ve had a renaissance of sorts.

“Welcome back, your excellency.” Lumoof’s presence was initially undetected, but eventually someone saw him and ratted him out. One of the lizardpeople councillors came to greet him. “On behalf of the council of kings, we once again welcome the savior of our heroes.”

It was almost public knowledge that there was some otherworldly help, by now. Our presence in this world was not a secret, and since the kings knew about it, almost everyone else soon learned of the other worlds.

Some formalities later, a meeting was arranged with the kings, the heroes and a large group of advisors, where Lumoof then shared our experience with Sabnoc, and the post-Sabnoc destruction.

There were only a few differences so far, so it’s likely that this demon king was a similar variant as Sabnoc.

The two heroes, now in better shape, even if they were still affected by their trauma, quickly asked whether we would be able to send heroes here. We rejected it, using the void mana as an excuse.

Still, there were some things that could be done with the knowledge.

One. There may be heroes where their souls have been captured by the demons

Two. They started evacuation of the area near to the demon king, based on an estimate of how much area was lost to the demonic corruption. They, of course, didn’t say the knowledge came from another world, but from the gods themselves. The temples didn’t like it, but thanks to the decade-long war, the Kings were more powerful than the temples, and so used their powers to make those who lived too near move away. There wasn’t much to evacuate, either, since thanks to the long war, vast areas were already a mini-Rottedlands

Thirdly, the heroes also made preparations, equipped with the knowledge of the tricks Sabnoc used. It’s like playing with a walkthrough, and after discussing how someone else had already cleared the game.

As it is, they’ve reached a somewhat comfortable status quo, where they are just hunting the champions for level.

We didn’t say it out loud. I didn’t want to trigger the gods’ mental controls.

There was something we wanted to know. What triggered the demon king’s win condition? When did they go for the core? Why was the demon king still stationery when the heroes were already free?

“We can hear it. It’s calling us to it.” The two heroes said. “We’re pretty sure it even sees us.”

We know.

“But I’m afraid.” The two heroes were visibly shaking as the boy started to share his fears. “After that first time, I’m not sure if I could face it again. I know I have to. But...”

I thought I felt divine energies in the air as the heroes let out their worries in a meeting room.

“We have to.” Darn. Triggered it anyway. “Can you help us?”

We have a demon king of our own to fight. We have four years left, and the next demon king, now that I’ve seen it, worries me immensely.

After the meeting, Lumoof suggested that perhaps we could help. The levels would help us against the demon king, since we could get new skills.

I had to think about it.

RottenTangerine

I hope they right the other demon king if just for the levels. 2x the demon kings means 2x the experience for his pantheon and Aeon himself

Christopher Bulovas

Anti-magic sand weapons, Mountainworld, the Lillies, Reefy the sea conqueror, and super children! WOW!

Christopher Bulovas

Anyone else think we need a “mining” or mineral Titan now? Either a convert of Sand world or something else, Aeon needs the high quality materials, sand or something new.

Balocka

Maybe the worm titan? I think that was one of the options. I think it would be very efficient in collecting spic- sand. This sand has interesting properties and I’m excited to see what the author has planned.

Andrew

Thank you!

Jemini

This has got to be how the upper level gods get their levels. They reach the threshold where they can start fighting demon kings, and then they gain the ability to travel to other worlds. From there, it just snowballs.

Pawzom Lz

Not really. If it was filtering out spice or something else from the sand maybe, but here its the sand itself that is special, so I fail to see how a worm titan would be useful unless its stomach could teleport the sand to Treeworld.

Balocka

Speaking of super children I think Aeon should have his demigods have families. Sounds weird but I feel like that would be a good way to increase their power base. Probably not lumoof sense priest. Plus I feel they need something outside the order.

Balocka

I was curious about something what would happen if someone in the pantheon other than Aeon ascended to godhood. Would the pantheon get more benefits like the immortal tokens, could there be a sub pantheon. I’m curious what y’all think.

Balocka

Hopefully Alka and Stella get a domain if they decide to help mountain world. Domain of the alchemist and void maybe.

Christopher Bulovas

Yes, that’s the theory I had as well, plus benefits for Aeon by having a pantheon founder within his owe pantheon. Like a series of umbrellas working together. Aeon would automatically be a member of these pantheons and even be able to influence them as he was in charge prior. Certainly an interesting idea, since Edna is likely the first to reach 200 out of the pantheon member, I can see her pantheon being something like the “Vanguards” and their ability is the chance to “cheat” death or something, with passive defensive boosts as given to all related. The thing then is the idea of people joining the pantheons then. If someone Joins Edna’s first, are they automatically added to Aeon’s or is

Christopher Bulovas

It still a choice thing? Can the other members of Aeon’s pantheon join Edna’s as well? Is it automatic or a choice? Regardless of joining, do Aeon’s members get the passive boosting as the pantheon is under Aeon’s control. Like how the subdomains boost Aeon and his power. Now, is there such a thing as a “sub-pantheon?”

Christopher Bulovas

Void obviously, not sure about Alma’s though, there are plenty of choices there, he could be automatically given a subdomain due to having a unique class that can only be received directly from Aeon. He may get the domain of inventor, crystal, or explosive. All are on the table, but I’m personally rooting for a subdomain with a focus on research, to help boost Aeon and his research and development overall. Plus, I want to see if there are anymore cases of automatically being given a domain, like with Astra, but his may have been a combination of massive leveling overwhelming the system, his fallen hero status, and his major focus on it. My money is on the first one, the system needs to time to assess your domain choices, which it does over the long process of reaching that level 150, each action, thought, choice, skill, class, and level/experience adding to the subsystem that controls domain options, generating choices that the individual can select!

Christopher Bulovas

That would be useful, but only if it happens naturally, like the eventuality with Prabu and Collette. Aeon won’t be playing matchmaker or geneticist, especially not with his trusted friends, why rush what is likely to be inevitable?

Christopher Bulovas

Possibly, but given evidence, it’s likely they transitioned to the using the heroes. It’s likely that the “old gods” can gain experience and levels from the heroes leveling up and killing demon kings. Leveling via “proxy,” like how Aria the ice spirit gains experience from her ice crystal weapons!

Christopher Bulovas

I didn’t want to say the worm titans straight out😂, but it is a possibility it can generate materials and minerals from its body, but it would need to level up big time to do something as crazy as that, maybe it can copy and generate whatever minerals you feed it, but then the issue of making the sand is clear. The sand itself isn’t special, it’s just sand, the reason it has become unique is due to the constant and excessive anti-magic sunlight hitting it days at a time, so if they want to produce this sand independent of mining, then they need to harness the sunlight to make it, what I had in mind with the titans was a sort of earth elemental that generates the minerals on its body or passively/actively, like Diamondhead from Ben 10, not a tunneler.

Christopher Bulovas

The worm could be used as the miner and collector, thus acting like the “dump-truck” demons, but I think the risk of it being attacked underground by the demons eliminates the tunneler worm, plus a mountain titan could be on the surface, generate rock, and absorb the sunlight to make the sand. That’s likely how those demons work, they march across the world are caravans with mountains on their back to both protect themselves and saturate the rock with sunlight, and they probably also collect sand with their body’s via their limbs and orifices over time. Perfect!

Pawzom Lz

Wasting a titan slot on a sand producing titan does not seem like an ideal means of acquiring a resource when they can instead just turn the entire planet into a mining planet(with a demigod dungeon at the core after they get rid of the ''DK'', maybe the mobs there will have special qualities from the planet making them worth harvesting for resources?). And why figure out how to produce it when they can just dump sand there and let the sun do the work for them? Not only that, but with the ENTIRE planet being covered in the stuff, it would take eons or more before they would even have to consider that.

Balocka

Interesting ideas I would think Aria would be first cause they said they were close but maybe Edna will be first. And for how I think a sub-pantheon would work is just how you mentioned last chapter. Edna could create a Valkyrie group who work separately from the order. Sort of like different faction and departments in the group.

Christopher Bulovas

More specifically, he harvests levels/experience from the familiar contracts, the higher the familiar level, the more the payoff.

Christopher Bulovas

Great ideas! If we want to establish a mining colony, we definitely need a permanent presence on Sandworld, either a clone tree or some other means. The issue is dealing with both the sun and the demons at the same time. An underground base sounds plausible, it eliminates the sun problem, but the demons are more active beneath the earth and fighting there could be very difficult, but worth it. A recommended a Titan not for the sole purpose of sand collecting, but something to act as the basic template and focal point for all of Aeon’s mining endeavors, imagine him making tunneler worm version of those mobile research bases he made, plant machinery and mining technology. Seems to work, plus the beetles are amazing workers, and the spiders can use their webs to act as bags and block out the sun in caves. Also, Aeon can put that leveling dungeon Titan underground near the core with his clone tree to make a super Training place for the pantheon, the effects of this world may effect the creatures of the dungeon that are harder to kill and give more experience. And, with a world this barren, the dungeon creature can’t really harm anyone if they leave at level 150. Regardless, of the exact details for utilizing and benefiting from Sandworld, the plan to take the world is clear: Aeon has to waiting until after the coming demon king is sent and defeated, return to the world with the heroes in tow to fight and destroy the demon king around the world core, that is the point where the demon world is at its weakness, with the backlash from the demon king death reducing the demon population and power. It’s Aeon’s best and only real chance to take the world. Thankfully Aeon has 4 years to figure out a counterattack strategy, plus I think the weapons to kill the coming demon king will also be useful for the core one!

Pawzom Lz

If a dungeon is established at the center of the world, then there will also always be a presence of a pantheon member there guarding it and the mining operation, so a valuable titan slot still does not seem worth it in my opinion. Tho the timing and method of attack is something I agree with wholeheartedly. The demons in this world, due to size and power would be better left for the high level elites and pantheon members to kill for experience. But maybe later once Aeon is far stronger, have more titan slots and have been mining for a while a colossal worm could be useful just for shifting sand around, so imported, useless sand from other worlds can get to the surface or something? This will depend on whether there is a moon or not though(I cant remember if there is) as that is what determines whether or not there will be wind. If there will be massive storms and such on a regular basis then the worm just wont be needed.

Pawzom Lz

And dont forget that the demons will be temporary once the ''DK'' core is dead since no new ones will spawn, another reason I'm against a titan here if there is a moon as eventually it will then just be straight up useless, taking up a valuable titan slot.

Christopher Bulovas

I thank you for agreeing with my plan of attack, and I accept your comprise on delaying placing a Titan on Sandworld, perhaps when the time comes, Aeon will unlock a particular titan or adapt one to act as the “engine” for establishing and support off world mining operation, like how Hytreerion acts as mobile military base and Patreek as the unity of the tree minds (internet).

Christopher Bulovas

On a side note, if I had known there was a moon or two, I would have provided it as an option for placing the clone tree and using teleportation and drones to stockpile and establish a mining base. The only two places that could work for a mining base on Sandworld is underground or on a moon, as the surface is too exposed, to both the elements and the demons, mostly the former. The moon is safe from the light and demons, but the center of the world is much better as a base. Core-access, no sun, and you can use the infrastructure made by the demons to collect sand. Add in a few dungeons and Valthorns, and you have the perfect production and training planet. Also, no normal storms, only giant sandstorms seem likely, maybe Aeon can have his spiders use their webs to collect sand. Wait! Even better, have Aeon research and upgrade his wind farm plants to act as sand collectors too, and plant them at underground entrances to gather mana and sand. Heck, maybe Aeon can research and implement a resistance to that deadly anti-mana sunlight and learn to harness it?

Christopher Bulovas

I wonder if Aeon can influence the life that spawns on the world via the core after freeing it. Regardless on the planet or the situation, Aeon will need titans to act as the backbone for his society and infrastructure, while also enriching his powers. All the titans are auxiliary in nature and merely act as the focal points and assistants to endeavors done by Aeon that his normal forces and pantheon can not do. Hytreerion is not military power and force as much as he is a mobile fire base and troop support. Long term in mind, fortress design fits in my opinion. Patreek servers as the nexus for all of Aaron’s mental communication and record keeping, a complete master database and the internet all rolled into one, and mental defenses too. I would say Aeon needs to pick the next titan that unlocks the most unknowns or possibilities. (That’s what I want to), but given how the first to were picked and that Aeon has two Titan souls to use, he can spare one, pick an option, say screw it, and see what happens. Aeon may be able to easily play the waiting game and find a good moment, but that kind of thing is dangerous, because there is never a “perfect” moment, just lucky chance. Aeon needs to be proactive in starting things so he can the most results and options. Now I don’t mean rush and at stupid (I love the tree approach!), but I think it’s okay if Aeon did the occasional experiment or jump. Again, I don’t mean use up everything, just try to make something new. Perhaps Aeon can test out a new titan after getting his next one or two titans souls, so he definitely need to stay close to those off world heroes to get the most out of the demon king battles.

Arcanum

Remembered that the moons disappear sometimes, perhaps they go to different realms that are recently created or freed and aid in their recovery? Hopefully after this demon king he gains a skill which grants him direct access to the other continents or a method of self generating core mana from the tree floating in space

Christopher Bulovas

Didn’t know the moon fact, I just thought the moon had long orbit cycles. I do certainly hope gets some new skills, the ability to communicate with wills of the worlds and even make new worlds sounds awesome! (Personally I think Aeon should test that out on Sandworld first and then expand over the fallen continents of Mountainworld, it will give him a higher mana production.)

Arcanum

Yeah, In some of the earlier chapters in ancient history, what I remember is along the lines of the moon changes trajectory, velocity at random and sometimes disappears or changes appearance completely. & yeah sounds great, with how the demon king turned out maybe the anti-magic research will give him a passive, strengthening his bark, (allowing him to grow a bit taller?), presence and giving anti-magic effects to the attacks and equipment.

Balocka

Well yeah I’m not saying force them and yeah I get they don’t need to rush now that their immortal but they’re all almost 100 now right idk. Also wonder what the people of the central continent think of these super children and the demigods.

Balocka

Maybe that’s what aeon need to become a true god take control over a planet. Maybe core mana is the last one he needs for his soul forge and he’ll finally be able to create life or sentience. Or maybe Aeon and lilies could combine their forges to make something new idk just some random thoughts throw out there.

EnderScroll

I hope he does get involved in the fight with the second demon king. He has been baby stepping around this whole other worlds thing for a while now. Plus since he said it will be a couple years until the demon invasion begins on his world I see no point of him and his pantheon sitting around doing nothing when they could be fighting/gaining levels. Not to mention they did all those preparations to inboard another demon world that fell through, why doesn’t he just redirect them to the mountain world and try to build some influence there.

Christopher Bulovas

Incorporating the sand into bark to forming anti magic resistance? Or at least get the skill for it? That sounds super useful!😎👍🏻 Who knows? This may be how Aeon starts to gain defensive measures against rouge domain users and heroes!

Christopher Bulovas

It may a time of intense war followed by a very long state of peace and boredom to get them to start “looking” into these kinds of things.

Christopher Bulovas

My guess is sort of cross between celebrities and idol reverence mixed in with some hero worship. Not “gods” but the local heroes of legend sort of thing but magnified. The domain user must command some serious authority, both literal and political.😎👍🏻

Christopher Bulovas

Exactly! Take the step forward! Like when Aeon just said screw it and entered Parasiteworld, look how that turned out! Research on how to handle the current DK, but they spare a year or two to fight the Mountainworld DK and then set up a base or embassy there or something. Aeon could even take back one of the lost continents and cover it with his trees and go wild with dungeons and structural developments. That world and the people there are probably okay with Aeon setting up shop, even with the competition politically (it would be suicide to publicly insult and attack Aeon after all they have done.) As long as they don’t fill the role of “heroes and the gods,” then all is good! Aeon doesn’t want them to lost that independence they got from fighting the demons, so he can’t baby them and save them, otherwise he is just like the old gods. Still, they can at least cooperate as nations and faiths. I wouldn’t be surprised if Aeon planted a clone tree on a lost continent and suddenly a massive world-wide migration occurred shortly after the rumor spread. Thousands of people of all species coming together to join under shade of the branches of the great tree of Life, Aeon! This may be the birth of the second Freshka or Freeka? What would it be named though? Freshka was for taking back the Rottenlands, and Freeka was a refugee sanctuary, what to give for a world saved from death’s door? Saveka? Lifeka? Hopeka? Who knows? It’s will be funny though!😂 Lastly, someone needs to send an observer or spy back to ThreeTree world, to at least see how long until their demon invasion and DK attack begins, the cycle may be 15 years, but time flows differently between world, they stay linked when Aeon is connected to them. (Plus, I can’t remember how long they had since the last time it was said, so I can remember how much they have left by looking at the time that has passed.)

I hoped there was more interaction with the system. like when he do researches

Likewise, for me, it’s levels, titans, and new domain abilities and skills, but I’ll take any system prompts. Either for observations, new things, or even unique unlocks. The limits are endless!

It is weird how you mention Ken in the pre-battle meeting. He shouldn't be there right since he is no longer a hero. The 4 heroes sent over were Hafiz, Prabu, Collette and Chung, right?
