Goku was about 19 or 20 when he had Gohan, which would place him at about 29-31 right now (depending on how you count the year he was dead for, since you don’t age physically when you’re dead). Also, I understand why, but part of me wishes they adapted the panel from the manga where the guy in the car gets his head squeezed and popped up like a pimple.

As a kid this arc was creepy asf for me, it had such a mysterious feel to it, For so long the z fighters had always had the upper hand because they knew how to sense energy so they could never be snuck up on but in this arc its creepy because they dont know where their enemy is if its not in front of them

I have no idea how Toriyama was able to pivot so seamlessly in writing such a good mystery in this arc considering the countless amount of times his editors told him to change something. It’s honestly one of his most impressive writing qualities imo.

in the manga it was a little more gruesome besides the yamcha part which im glad they didnt censor it , but in the manga the old guy in the car got his neck crushed and separated from his body.
