I always find it hilarious that toriyama was known as the greatest gag/ comedy mangaka and then he wrote dragon ball which started out as just a gag manga and he noticed people complimenting his fighting scenes so he nosedived into that and changed peoples childhods

The reason Goku is my favorite (and I think maybe people don’t put too much attention to that detail) is that he’s the one who always comes up with solutions to problems, especially in this arc. You will see what I'm talking about later on 😲
