Kdot is one of the best performers, so in that regard he killed it. However, I didn’t like his setlist at all, which kind of ruined his performance for me. where is bitch don’t kill my vibe, alright, swimming pools, good kid mad city and etc. He didn’t play his classics and I understand him trying to promote his new albums and songs but my god what a missed opportunity!

Tbh it is why I am thankful that we got The Pop Out concert tbh as well as with crowd that is actually receptive to the genre of music and culture. Idk of you saw the vids of like certain sections where there were people of who just didn't bring any energy and just sitting in silence. But ig that is expected with the people who have the money to buy insanely high priced tickets.

All The Stars is on The Black Panther Album, which is one of the best soundtracks to a movie in recent times, and you guys should definitely react to it, Kendrick’s west coast side pops out a lot on there. Great video guys, it was such a great storytelling performance staying in the present with his music and performing his new stuff.

that beat that played before and after the show (the sort of male opera singer) is a beat by ghais guevara which is so damn cool. hes an amazing underground rapper with only 90k monthly listeners. was so damn cool hearing one of his beats on the biggest stage in the world. (the song its from is “the old guard is dead” if anyones curious)

I loved this performance and It took me a minute to get it , but I love that he didnt do the usual nostalgia with the set list! He's always gone against the norm so I shouldn't be surprised lol. Looking at the camera and smiling on "Say, Drake" sent meee

There’s a conspiracy theory that it was also connected to xxxtentacion. Something I found interesting, Introduction was a reference back to xxxtentacions cypher, introduction of the first song is saying helping hand (referring back to xxx helping hand charity, which then drake goes to Miami (x’s home state) and makes gods plan to troll x) peekaboo’s x set is played on the 30 yard line (3x), 3 set of dancers, 3 of drakes exes. And last but not least Kendrick’s silent hill is connected to peekaboo calls out drake when drakes tour assassination vacation came out after a year of x’s death and the cover art shows Miami palm trees in the crosshairs

Kendrick Lamar is an artist & storyteller. Judging the performance harshly based off what you wanted the setlist to be is just a bad criticism. The performamce itself was still great. It wasnt just to promote his new album, but the whole point of the performance was not doing the run of the mill greatest hits compilation that everyone else does. He used the songs he felt fit the story he was telling.

I always come back to this.. But his performance wasn’t for the masses..this was for the culture
