"Sun" definitely feels like a leftover, it's not bad but I'm glad it wasn't on the album proper. Personally I think GDLU is stronger than TFS - JID's rapping was always great but now he's at a new level of confidence and control, the album covers a wide range of moods and ideas but still feels pretty cohesive as a whole.

I prefer The Forever Story in terms of everything tbh, themes/concept, songs (how good they are), the length, features (it’s close tho) and the beat selection. I like GDLU but I’d really only put JIDs rapping ability as the only thing that’s improved. TFS is like an 8.5 for me where GDLU is just a 7/7.5
