23:10 I think Kamo's post is still right, but that's WHY it links to your comments. So basically, he or she was right, but you built onto the thought and formed it into a complete idea or behavior. You've got a damned good grasp.

Oh, I need to put this out. I like that you are knowledgeable enough to dissect the action bits, but something I want to highlight is the overall depiction of such scenes. Starting with this episode and working backwards, you did notice Eris slipping up on the first step onto a sand beach... but this is also visual storytelling done perfectly through body language. Eris has never seen an ocean before, and so her body is unfamiliar with walking on a sand shoreline. Her first step nearly sees her roll an ankle, and she IMMEDIATELY processes how her footing needs to change, adjusting accordingly. Then, while undressing for a swim, she looks... odd. It's been a year, and her legs are longer. She looks almost lanky. And in both this and the previous episode, Eris is noticeably taller than Rudy. And while you noticed how high she jumps after landing an attack on Rujierd, I am totally in love with how she disarms for the intended swim. She takes off her belt, and hops over it like a reverse jump rope with basically zero effort. Going back to the previous episode, Eris uses an aerial attack on a snake monster and kills it instantly, only for her to try the same method and fail on the big bad red. When Rujierd creates an opening, he calls on her for another attack, and THIS time, she can properly Guage the strength she needs to cut through her target. And in those impact frames, just imagine how much raw force she is generating. The Cobra's scales function as armor, and she initially hits it so hard, it's armor is pinched through meat, maybe to bone... and then she slices through ALL of it. Try a hypothetical here, and imagine you're wearing plate armor. How fucking terrifying would it be when this girl hits your arm so hard with a sword your armor meets bone, bruising and forcing your flesh out of the way? And that's before she even cuts through it. Add to that Rujierd kicking that spider into a tree, and the animators have obviously been doing a great job adding weight and power to attacks, reminiscent of the best action games. Even when showing a relatively "minor" outburst like Eris stomping Kurt, Rudy's reaction and swiftness with the healing magic serves to sell just how hard she was kicking the boy. She might have been holding back somewhat, but it's still reasonable to believe she had cracked or broken some of his bones over a TANTRUM.
