Haven't read the source material myself, but I've been told there was a cut line for Badi where he asked if Rudy managed to injure Orsted and, when confirmed, asked to experience the same attack. Hence why Badi decided on a one-shot battle.

is it bad that i am suspicious of cliff and elinalise? like is he cool with things being very extremely Open, did he use magic on her, or maybe elinalise needs to keep him close to her for some unknown reason?? why'd they have to close that damn door in our faces....grrr. My initial reaction to the kidnapping of the beast girls was "What was the point of Rudeus assaulting them? What lesson was learned here? Is this supposed to be comedic filler?", and I still somewhat feel this way. I'd love to see how you interpret it in the next reaction because obviously it's wrong, but the unknown part is "what is its purpose"? I would like to believe that it isn't purposeless.

I feel like the purpose was simply to establish some kind of relationship between them with a "comedic"(/fucked up) way, so it seems it was purposeless the whole humiliation scene. It seems to be quite normal for Mushoku to establish the relationships between characters (in particular not so important characters) in a sloppy way. So for giving it the benefit of doubt, I tell myself, it is not about how it starts, but how it ends, so let's see what the author ends up doing with the characters and the power relationships between them.
