TITANE (2021) - MOVIE REACTION - First Time Watching

Titane is a 2021 body horror psychological drama film written and directed by Julia Ducournau. The French-Belgian co-production stars Agathe Rousselle in her feature film debut as Alexia, a woman who, after being injured in a car crash as a child, has a titanium plate fitted into her head. In adulthood, Alexia becomes a murderous car model with an erotic fascination with automobiles, leading to a bizarre sexual encounter that sets off an increasingly outlandish series of events. Vincent Lindon, Garance Marillier and Laïs Salameh also star. Hello everyone and welcome to The Coby Show! You may know me from reaction channels Popcorn Roulette and Criminal Content. Analytical Guy

Am I really the first and only person to post a comment or question about Titane? Possible spoilers, if anyone is reading this comment without seeing the movie… Your observations about the movie as it went along were great, including noticing (which I never did) that the fire motif started at the beginning with the car that our protagonist, well, had sex with. I think you even referred to it the same way I did – as her having sex with a car. And yet it blew my mind that for the rest of the movie, when the black liquid was coming from her body, you never once said the word "oil." :-o perhaps because the implications of that were SO insane that your mind couldn't even go there. I think now that you've seen it, you would also enjoy watching the trailer for it. It would be cool to see you react to it, but probably too much effort for what would be a two minute video, so I'll just post a link for you to enjoy on your own time: https://youtu.be/Q5_w2W5G9OM Oh, and I will gladly recommend the only other feature length film this director has done – a movie called "Raw" (2016). Another film you might enjoy going into with no previous knowledge.
