REPO MAN (1984) - Full Watch Along

Repo Man is a 1984 American science fiction black comedy film written and directed by Alex Cox in his directorial debut. It stars Harry Dean Stanton and Emilio Estevez, with Tracey Walter, Olivia Barash, Sy Richardson, Vonetta McGee, Fox Harris, and Dick Rude among the supporting cast. Set in Los Angeles, the plot concerns a young punk rocker (Estevez) who is recruited by a car repossession agency and gets caught up in the pursuit of a mysterious Chevrolet Malibu that might be connected to extraterrestrials.

I really liked this movie. Such a unique mix of genres. I always used to think it was a movie about the L.A. punk scene. I wasn’t expecting it to be so weird, and surreal. Do you prefer it when the movie is something different than you expect?

Another good 80s movie with Emilio Estevez is Maximum Overdrive, and Harry Dean Stanton has a small scene in the Avengers and I have never seen a reactor recognize him. And he is in another of my favorite 80s movies, Escape from New York with Kurt Russell.
