L.A. CONFIDENTIAL (1997) - Full Watch Along

L.A. Confidential is a 1997 American neo-noir crime thriller film directed, produced, and co-written by Curtis Hanson. The screenplay by Hanson and Brian Helgeland is based on James Ellroy's 1990 novel, the third book in his L.A. Quartet series. The film tells the story of a group of LAPD officers in 1953, and the intersection of police corruption and Hollywood celebrity. The title refers to the 1950s scandal magazine Confidential, portrayed in the film as Hush-Hush.

Similar that you would also like: "Mulholland Falls" (1996) "The Black Dahlia" (2006) there is another with a similar name the same year. This is the one with Josh Hartnett & Aaron Eckhart

This is not a movie you can watch without becoming completely invested in it. You think you know what it is going in, but there are so many twists and turns. I would start feeling one way about a character, and five minutes later, completely different. It challenges the viewer. Great cast. Kim Bassinger was a huge star at this point, I think this is around the time she actually bought the little town she was from, I think the town was in deep financial trouble or something, I don’t know the details, I just thought it was cool.
