WAYNE'S WORLD (1992) - Full Watch Along

Wayne's World is a 1992 American comedy film directed by Penelope Spheeris. It was produced by Lorne Michaels and written by Mike Myers and Bonnie and Terry Turner. Based on the SNL sketch by Myers, it stars Myers in his feature film debut as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, a pair of rock and heavy metal fans who broadcast a public-access television show. It also features Tia Carrere, Rob Lowe, Lara Flynn Boyle and Brian Doyle-Murray in supporting roles, with cameos by Chris Farley, Ed O'Neill, Ione Skye, Meat Loaf, Robert Patrick and Alice Cooper.

Fun fact: Garth’s dream girl is Dan Aykroyd’s wife.

The "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon" bit was a reference to a TV commercial in which a man in one limousine asks that question of a man in another limousine (implying that Grey Poupon was fancy dijon mustard used by rich people). Cable TV stations often offered "public access" TV shows, which allowed pretty much anyone to make a show and have it aired locally (generally very late at night), which meant that very weird, amateurish shows could be made. That's what the fictional "Wayne's World" was. Of course, anyone can create a very weird, amateurish show, post it on YouTube, and probably reach more people than those old public access TV shows ever did on cable. :-)
